She looked so lonely.
"What are you looking at?" Pit blinked himself out of the daze he was in and snapped his head toward the voice. Marth's blue eyes peered at him as he sipped quietly on some tea. The brunette scratched the back of his neck and gave the prince a look of confusion. The teacup moved from the man's thin lips and back onto the table's coaster.
"Outside. You keep gazing out the glass door." Wings shifted uncomfortably behind the angel.
"Nothing, it just looks nice out there," Pit suddenly switched gears, "Hey, y'know your English has gotten much better."
"You're lying." The all-knowing smirk made the celestial being blush from embarrassment. "I saw her go out there." Pit tried to think of an excuse. He opened his mouth to spurt out another false statement but nothing came out. The feeling of being caught and Palutena's scolding echoing in his head made him give up the facade.
"You should go out there."
"For a prince, you're very blunt."
"For an angel, you're very false."
Abruptly, the winged boy stood from his chair making a very audible scoot. He slammed his hands down on the table, Marth noted his over dramatic behavior and simply continued drinking his Earl Grey tea.
"You know what, I will go out there!" His light sandals didn't help his need to stomp out of the room for they just made his hard steps sound normal footsteps. His blue-haired friend just watched, hoping he wouldn't make a complete fool of himself in front of the lady. He would've tried to sneak over and watch the disaster waiting-to-happen but he was snatched away by Ike who wanted to spar. He'd be sure to not pull any punches since the mercenary was making him miss out on something so crucial.
Meanwhile, the angel had finally worked up the nerve to walk outside after watching the platinum blonde from behind the door. She sat still, arms hugging her knees tightly against her chest. The little yellow star that always followed her began bouncing frantically around her when it spotted Pit. It made a bizarre noise that vaguely reminded him of a kitten. The girl turned to look at her companion but her eyes ended up on the boy walking towards her.
Pit nearly stopped in his tracks. Maybe it was the moon's doing but her pale skin appeared to illuminate in the night further bringing out the blueness of her icy eyes. Or, eye. The girl had a large bang covering right eye but it was safe to assume they were both the same mesmerizing color. She was beautiful. The brunette snapped his head to the sky once he realized how hard he was staring.
"So many stars," he tried to make conversation, "reminds me of where I grew up."
The woman joined him in stargazing.
"To me, those stars are home." The bouncy star-shaped being settled in her lap and laid on her light blue dress. She held it in a gentle hug and closed her eyes. "And my children."
The angel took a seat in the grass next to the homesick woman. "Well then, I bet they're looking down on you right now, and wishing you the best." Pit beamed when the words earned him a soft smile.
"Thank you, um-"
"Pit. And you?"
"Rosalina."
She looked so happy.
A.N.- I don't know much about Rosalina since I never beat SMG but I did read her storybook which made me sad and invisible tears came out. I also don't even know why I like this pairing. It just seems cute~
