This was much needed. Enjoy :] Please comment I think this has to be my favorite chapter.

I don't think Edward believed that I had as much strength as I did until I nearly broke his hand into two. My legs are crossed as I sit inside his car and my foot shakes nervously as we drive through the small dirt path in the woods. I can hear all the sounds of the birds in the trees their whistling tunes of woe and happiness.

As we get closer to Edward's abode I can feel my stomach turn and twinge in the same moment. I clasp his hand tighter biting the inside of my lip.

"You know, I'm on your side here. Any tighter I would think you're trying to wound me." He says.

He briefly turns towards me smiling. The setting sun dancing off of his skin through the window and the tip of his hair and skin gleams like an unattainable diamond. I sigh rather loudly as I lean back in my chair staring straight ahead.

"Sorry, I don't know why I'm so nervous."

"Maybe it's because you're meeting a pack of hungry man eating vampires?"

"Just wait until you meet a pack of furry flea written dogs." I tease turning to stare at him.

I can see a slight trace of a smile spread across his face. He gently moves his hand along my knuckles and despite my stress I slowly calm under him. It truly takes a special person to calm the storm inside of me but he always seemed to know how.

"I truly cannot wait for the encounter. We're like Romeo and Juliet,"

"Hopefully it doesn't end like Romeo and Juliet." I murmur.

I turn to stare at him while he's driving so he doesn't necessarily see me. I couldn't imagine him in anything other than the clothes I normally see him in. Always a nice button up with proper slacks yet, today he's wearing something so different and it's keeping everything in me not to attach him. Well, that, and the fact that this dress has me contained in my seat it's so uncomfortable. After numerous hours of throwing clothes on the floor, Jake making fun of me, and putting my hair into so many different styles I lost track. I decided to go out and buy a dress. I ended up finding a black knee length dress that read more Sarah Palin than Kate Middleton.

Edward didn't seem to mind it at all. In fact, he seemed to like it quite a lot. He pulled up to my house getting out with his black sunglasses on and I almost melted, he looked like a sexier version of James bond. I sometimes felt so small next to him but he pulled me close holding me in his arms. His hands wrapped around my hips as he brought me closer to him. I smiled as he kissed me softly murmuring against my lips,

"You look lovely,"

Lovely. He always had the best words to describe me like I was a rare rose standing out amongst all the flowers.

As I stare at him now the sun dancing over him I cannot help but feel this sensation of contentment. I don't think I have ever felt this safe in my entire life than I do right now at this very moment.

That is what causes me to exhale because I know that despite our differences we would get through anything even this very dysfunctional paranormal family dinner.

I can see his house in the clearing a glass castle amongst the thickets and massive oak trees. He would live here in a perfect house hidden in the woods. Did the Cullens do anything that wasn't pure perfection?

We come to a stop as he parks in front of the house. He turns to stare at me and I at him. If it wasn't for that warm smile beaming towards me I would have felt completely numb but he melts me, soothes me as if the sun itself kisses my skin.

"Their coming," he says.

Before I can say or do anything I see all these perfectly chiseled pale bodies gracefully flock out from the house. It looks like a bunch of models walking down the catwalk. There is Alice she is the first one I notice. She's wearing this beautiful emerald dress. Her short hair spiked to perfection her eyes a dazzling honey color like Edwards.

Edward gets out of the car walking towards my car door. He's always been the gentleman so I know to wait inside until he opens the door for me. I stare towards the left side of Alice and I see Jasper. He looks calmer his hair moderately tamed, framing the long oval shape of his face.

The car door opens and Edward extends his hand to me. I take it squeezing it again as he lifts me out of the car. I feel like an outlander as if I am coming to a new world, one, that I am terribly foreign to.

"Breathe," he whispers in my ear.

I wish it were that easy. Before I even know it I am sucking in my breathe. I finally let out an exhale and I'm sure the vampires are thrilled to hear my heartbeat pulsating…

They probably hate me already.

A smiling face tries to prove me otherwise. It's a tall older woman, yet, she looks as if she is only in her thirties. Her face is warm and inviting as she breaks away from the line. She glides over towards me and before I know it she has embraced me in a hug.

"It's lovely to meet you Leah, we, have heard so much about you." She says.

She backs away from me and as I stare at her I truly find no fear, no hatred, inside of her stare. She seems intrigued to know more about me. She probably is wondering who has her loved one so smitten.

"This is Esme my mother," Edward says.

Her golden strawberry curls glide around her shoulder blades gracefully. She hugs her son next."Please come inside."

We all begin to walk inside and I realize that I would be introduced to the rest of the Cullens when we made it inside of the house. The first thing I smell is spaghetti. I recognize the smell immediately because it's one of my favorite foods. My mom use to work long hours and my dad couldn't even perfect the art of making hot dogs. So she would do spaghetti dinners on Fridays it was the only time I could spend time with her the only time we felt like a real family.

"I hope you like spaghetti," Esme coos as she leads us into the beautiful family kitchen. It's so bizarre that a family that doesn't even eat real food could have such a massive, beautiful, kitchen. They seemed to fit perfectly with it like a modern Brady bunch.

"I love spaghetti thank you so much."

A tall blond man puts his arm around Esme and I am assuming that is her husband. Edward had mentioned his father before. A tall slender blond comes from behind a door and she stares at me quite smugly.

"When did the dog get here?" She asks crossing her arms.

I want to smack her. Honestly, if I didn't have this extremely uncomfortable dress on I would have taken off my heels, ones that were also uncomfortable, and ran over and smacked her right in her smug face.

I don't however I simply stand there looking rather stupid.

Edward is the one to defend me with a low rumble in his throat.

"Don't pay attention to Rosalie the ice cold tends to stretch into her personality."

Yeah, you think Edward I can totally see that. I think to myself but I simply look towards the ground trying to shake of the feeling of wanting to sock her in the face.

"Least she doesn't smell like a dog," A tall rather bulky man says.

He crosses his arms with a smirk. He's got the same breath-taking qualities as Edward but his hair is shorter and his build as if he wrestles bears.

"I shower quite often actually," I say.

They all laugh and for a moment I feel included as if I had known them. It's weird to feel this way because I have never felt a part of anything. Sure, Jake and I had this closeness but it was just him and I against the world for so long. It feels nice to be a part of something larger. It feels nice that they know about my secret because they too had their secrets as well. We were all outcasts in this crazy world, outcasts that seemed to find each other.

"Your dress is lovely," Alice beams.

She gracefully glides towards me with her long slender ballerina legs. She's feeling the soft material of my dress like it's a piece of fine silk. She chuckles as she turns to Edward, "Bella never wore nice dresses. It's nice that you're not very frightened of fashion."

I smile shrugging my shoulders. I will not tell her that it took me at least two hours in a store to decide on what to wear. Or that this is the only 'nice' dress that I own in my closet. Instead, I will play along and pretend like I had everything figured out.

"Maybe we can go shopping sometime," I ask.

Her eyes light up and she claps her hands together in excitement.

"I like her already."

"Please, come eat with us in the dining room." Esme adds.

We all walk towards the dining room. Edward tilts his head over towards my ear as he holds my hand,

"You're doing fine," he whispers. "They like you."

"They could be faking," I whisper back.

He smirks.

"They can't I can hear their thoughts."

He rubs the side of my shoulder soothingly and I calm under his lovely touch.

We all sit around the table talking about life and how we each came to be what we are. It's so interesting hearing how most of these people didn't have a choice in turning into a vampire. It wasn't my choice either, turning into this monster that I tried so hard to maintain. We all had a common ground when it came to that. We all still tried so hard to be normal despite the fact that we were anything but mundane.

Esme talks about Edward when they first met him and how they seemed to cherish him as their adopted son. She talked about how they all came together and through the years they all became one happy family.

Family.

The word is like music to my ears. It's so nice to see a family sitting together at a table laughing and smiling it makes me feel all warm inside.

"What about you Leah," Esme brings me back to reality. I blink rapidly putting my glass of water down on the table. I also hadn't realized that I had scarfed down half of my pasta. Their plates sit empty in front of them. Darn my massive appetite. "How is your family?"

"We don't really do this sort of thing." I say.

I move my fork around my pasta idly trying to not seem too sad with the mention of family. "I wish we did this more." I say finally looking up to all the Cullens staring sympathetically at me.

"You will," its Edward I hear he sets his arm across my shoulder. "You're a part of our family now."

I turn to face him and I smile softly leaning my head against his shoulder.

"I propose a toast," Esme says as she lifts her glass.

"To Leah,"

They all lift their glasses and my heart melts as they all say in unison to Leah. I even glace a slight smile on the lips of Rosalie. As they continue to talk I sit there and for once in my entire life I feel like I could be a part of a family.

The Cullens had decided after dinner to go for a walk around the forest. They had invited Edward and I but we gracefully declined. Instead, he decided to show me more around the house. It's hilarious how he had so many graduation memorabilia hanging up on the wall and as he spoke about each one he seemed so proud. I realized that despite Edwards's unhappiness about himself, or the monster that he thought he was, he enjoyed the beauty of life. He took life and made it something beautiful something worth living and I admired him for that.

As we make it up the stairs he shows me a bunch of paintings that hang up on the wall and its significance to his family members. He stops as he gets to one door that is closed.

"Stopping the tour so soon? I was looking forward to hearing more," He puts his back against the door tilting his head slowly to one side.

"I'm not stopping it altogether just making a detour,"

He opens the door and as I stare inside. I automatically know whose room this is. "This is my room," he says rather shyly.

We walk into the room and I notice everything perfectly kept. I take notice of all the books that he has and it causes my mouth to water. Before thinking about it I break loose of his grasp and walk, as if in a trace, towards the stack of books. I run my hands along each book looking at each title. A normal girl would be doing this with jewelry, but, let's face it I am anything but normal. "You're disappearing inside you head, I truly wish I could hear what you're thinking." I smile as I turn to him wrapping my arms around his neck.

"You only need to ask."

He leans in just enough where I can feel his breath break through his lips close enough to kiss me.

"Well," He moves his lips against mine it's tantalizing. "Please enlighten me,"

"Well," I say kissing slowly, gently, the side of his neck. "I was thinking how I really do like your family," I nip softly and I can feel him stir underneath me. "You know for bloodsuckers." I tease. He twirls me around, rather quickly, and before I know it he's dipping me as if we were dancing. I look up at him his dazzling gaze blazing down at me. He moves closer towards my neck and he grazes my neck as well with the sweetest of embraces. He wants to play a game, he wants to tease me, and I never lose games. I'm quite headstrong when it comes to winning.

"I think they rather liked you here," he murmurs his lips trailing towards my earlobe. "You know for a dirty dog," I want to melt against his touch but that would mean that he wins.

With my strength I place him up against a wall and for a moment I can see the shock written in his face. He's not use to dealing with someone who is just as strong as he is. I smile rather proudly. He lifts his eyebrow to me as if saying I accept your challenge.

"Dirty huh?" I whisper tilting my head to the side.

His eyes take a darker hue as they glide towards my lips. I fall into him as if our bodies were stitched together perfectly. I put my hands on his hands and begin to glide them up towards his shoulders. He leans in our eyes digging into each other. If looks could talk oh the things they would say. "How dirty do you think I am?"

Before I can think he's lifted me up into his arms and I am thrown, rather gently, on his bed. I kick my heels off on the floor by his bed as he slowly, I mean slowly, like he wants to tease me to no end, gets on top of me.

"I intend to thoroughly find out,"

He places his lips on mine and it feels like the world collapses around us and it's just the two of us. We share each other's breath perfectly each nipping and teasing each other as we thirst for me. I find it quite ironic that someone who doesn't sleep has a bed conveniently placed inside his room. It seems so out of place and yet I am so very thrilled that it is here.

He runs his hand through my hair drawing me closer as he hand comes to the nape of my neck. I run my fingers along his abdomen, it's hard cold, and oh so very lovely to feel. I can feel his abs ripple against his skin as he desperately tries to get closer to me. I'm losing and my body is giving in to the feeling of him. I can't give up this easily so I decide to push him backwards throwing him onto the bed underneath me. I make my way on top of him my hair falling past my shoulder blades hiding us like a curtain from the real world. He grabs my chin trailing his finger across it sending the most brilliant of sensations through my body.

"You surely are full of surprises," he whispers bringing my face down to his.

"I could say the same about you. I like the addition to your room." I say nodding down towards his bed.

"I thought it would be to your liking,"

He sucks on the bottom part of my lip and I cannot help but shutter against him. He lifts up our kiss deepening our tongues doing a sensational tango with each other. I'm straddling him on his bed, who would have thought, me with Edward Cullen inside his room. I probably should have climbed through his window sense he makes it a habit of climbing through mine unannounced. I tilt my head slightly backwards to stare at him my lips slightly swollen from his kiss.

"You know me rather well,"

I without thought move my fingers to the top bottom of his shirt trying to undo it. I know he'll make me stop, tell me the dangers of being with him, but I don't care. I can't even think straight because he's beautiful and perfect and is staring at me like I'm the Queen of England herself. I loved him…I really really loved him. I wanted to show him how much he meant to me and I can tell from his stare apart of him was tempted to do the same to me.

"Leah," he whispers.

My eyes plead with him, screw this teasing game, it was getting me too worked up and I couldn't control my longing for him any longer.

"How much longer until your family gets back?"

I undo another button.

"Hour tops," I smirk,

"Think of all the mischief we can do in an hour."

Another button undone and so far no complaints maybe I am winning this game after all. He grabs my face in his hands rubbing the sides of my head soothingly,

"Don't you think I want to? But, it's too risky, I've never lost control like that before."

"Neither have I but I want to lose control with you. I trust you." I smirk leaning in closer unbuttoning another button, one more, and the shirt will be off. "Besides, it's me you should be afraid of." Is the last thing that is said before his shirt is completely, quite hurriedly, taken off and thrown to the floor. His lips collapse like thunder against mine and together we make such a beautiful storm. His fingers lace through my hair and one slides down to my neck then my back. To my surprise he grabs the small zipper that is towards the top of my dress bringing it down. I tense at the movement but a part of me spits back this is what you've been wanting don't seem so surprised. He peels the layers of my dress down and he's so gentle it feels more like a feather than actual hands. My breath hitches in my throat and I'm happy for the Victoria's secret gift card that my friend gave me last summer. I'm wearing a black lacey bra with a pink bow in the middle of it.

"Are you sure this is what you want?" His voice is so soft masked between desire and passion.

"I want you,"

Before I know it I am placed under him his hands frolic along my body and inclining along the curves of my figure. He's shirtless on top of me and it makes my senses go mad our skin gliding across each other. He's so cold and it's nice because he soothes my warm body as I melt against him like a ice cube. I run along his spine and he growls rather seductively as we come up for a little bit of air. Our breathing rushed. I try to dive back in but he stops me.

Oh no Edward don't stop now! Not when we're so close.

"You may want to put your close back on," he says through clenched teeth. I look at him oddly,

"what…why?"

"They're home and Alice seems panicked."

He gets off of me rather quickly and I gather my dress placing it back on myself. He re-buttons his shirt and I put on my dress. He zips me up just in time before Alice opens the door. She looks rather frantic,

"Edward," she says rather worriedly "I just had a vision."
