Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean
She's the one who leads ships to distant shores,
conquering villages and robbing some towns.
With the black and gold banner of her family
and the black veils of her ship, provoking fear,
Asha's been told how warlike she is,
poems have been sung about her devilish deeds.
But there is a face of her she's been keeping hidden.
The aggressive romance she has with the sea.
Perpetual movement and temporary stillness
are what attracts her to the powerful sea.
She loves to watch the dark, forceful, waves
and she never tires of their dramatic roar.
The allure of the Ocean crashes against her,
like the waves against the shore,
pulling her down into the voracious dark waters;
like a true kraken, a goddess made human.
She enjoys the salty scent of the life in the sea,
and loves the ocean with all her wild being.
And the Ocean loves her back,
with the deepest affection.
It calls her at night, and awakes her at dawn;
the tide pulls her, like it does with the sand,
and quickly she answers the unvoiced call.
Asha goes back to the romance, back to the sea.
