Well, this is my first try at writing an RG Veda fanfic, and is my first English-written fanfic, too.
Spoilers alert, if you haven't read RG Veda 'till the end (please do, it has one of the best endings I have ever read... traumatizing as it is) then you shouldn't read this fic.
I'll be waiting
You'll wake up. That, I know for sure.
When? ...I have no ways to know it.
How long has it been? How many years have passed by?
How could I know? Being by your side makes time fly way too fast for me to realize.
You look at me trough closed eyes, sleep painted in them.
You look so peaceful... almost as if you were to wake up at any moment.
I'll be by your side until the time comes. Because of our promise.
I will never leave you. You will never be alone. I'll protect you, even if you don't need my protection.
You'll wake up. I'll be waiting here until the time comes. Even if I have to wait for thousands of years, I won't leave you. I won't give up hope. Because you will wake up.
I can remember clearly the first moment I saw you. You looked evil, but I didn't care. You warned me of what I was risking, of what you would do if you fully woke up, but I didn't care. When you were a baby you were so cute. I took care of you, even though I knew this would cause great destruction. At that moment I couldn't know that my entire clan would die because of that, but I don't regret it. Being by your side was good enough for me.
Sometimes your evil side would come to sight and you would show your bitterness in all its depth, you would show all the harm you could bring to those around you, but nevertheless I kept my promise.
I would never leave you, because I promised so.
When you were by my side, you were charming, you were nice, you were sweet. How could I know that you would become such an evil creature? But when you did, I didn't care. I couldn't fight you, because I loved you too much by then to do such a thing. And even though I was told there was a prophecy that you would kill me, you didn't.
You killed yourself instead.
But you are not dead... just asleep.
You will wake up. And when you do so, you won't be evil.
Until then, I'll be waiting.
