Regina and Emma discuss strap ons and give Henry the sex talk :)
Chapter 19
Well last night was very unexpected. Emma went from thinking Regina was going to break up with her to coming home and having mind blowing sex. Emma knew she shouldn't have lied about the reason she was working at the Rabbit hole but she didn't want Regina to know that she was actually saving up for an engagement ring. Emma knew she wanted to marry Regina but she wasn't really completely ready to propose to her. So the way she worked it out was by the time she saved up for the perfect ring she would likely be ready. Emma decided she would get up and make Regina some breakfast. She climbed out of bed, grabbed Regina's robe off the floor and made her way downstairs. She walked into the kitchen to find Henry making pancakes.
"Hey kid I thought you was at Noah's."
She bounced over to Henry, kissed him on the forehead and dipped her finger into the bowl full of pancake batter.
"Yeah I was but I came home at ten. I did my homework, played my game then thought I would make you and mum some breakfast" he replied.
Henry was so thoughtful and every day Emma was so proud to call him her son.
"I was just coming down here to make your mum some breakfast, great minds think alike" she said.
"Well I've got a great mind, yours is average" he giggled.
Emma flicked his nose, grabbed a handful of pancake batter and rubbed it all over his face.
"MA" he shrieked.
"You deserved it, now be a good housewife and carry on making your mothers breakfast while I go back to bed" she laughed.
Emma started to walk out of the kitchen when she felt something hit her back. Emma turned around and pancake batter hit her right in the face.
"Sorry Ma, my hand slipped" he chuckled.
"Henry Daniel Mills what exactly do you think you're playing at" Regina shouted.
Shit, Emma didn't expect Regina to get up just yet.
"Mom I'm sorry but she started it" he replied.
"Hey kid don't rat me out."
"I don't care who started it I suggest you clean up this mess right away" she ordered. Emma started to run out of the kitchen when Regina grabbed her arm and dragged her back into the kitchen.
"Emma Swan that means you as well."
Emma looked at Henry, he looked at her and winked. Emma went over to the bowl of pancake batter grabbed a handful and Henry did the same. Regina must have known what they were planning because she gave them her famous death glare and started to back out of the kitchen.
They chased Regina around the kitchen counter. Henry went the one way and Emma went the other and they cornered her.
"If you two want to stay in my good books I suggest you both go and wash your hands" she ordered.
Henry looked at Emma and stepped back and Emma knew he was rethinking this so she decided to just risk it. She grabbed another handful of batter and put it all over Regina's front and Henry followed her lead and chucked it all over her back.
"Sorry babe but it was just something I needed to do."
Regina stared Emma and she was ready for her to scream and shout but instead she did something Emma didn't expect. She grabbed a handful of pancake batter and rubbed it all in Emma's face.
"Well darling that was just something I needed to do" she laughed.
Henry looked at them both covered in batter and started to laugh. Regina grabbed another handful of batter and started to chase Henry around the kitchen.
"Mom I'm sorry please don't" Henry giggled.
Regina stopped in front of Henry and chucked pancake batter in his face.
"Now we are all covered in batter I suggest you two clean up this kitchen while I go and have a shower then I will make you two breakfast and we can spend the afternoon watching films" Regina replied.
"Why do we have to clean up?" she asked
"Because you two made the mess and because I said so. So I want this kitchen spotless by the time I come downstairs, now get to it" she ordered.
Regina stepped out of the kitchen.
"Henry you heard your mother get cleaning" Emma laughed.
Regina popped her head around the door "No Miss Swan I mean both of you" she warned.
Emma started cleaning the kitchen counter whilst Henry cleaned the floor. It's been a while since the three of them have had some quality time.
Emma really couldn't believe how much her life has changed recently, it's been a tough road to get where she is today but it's all been worth it. Emma hasn't really discussed marriage or even children with Regina that's partly because she's scared. Emma's not the best when it comes to commitment and the other reason is Regina has been through so much in her life Emma doesn't want to scare her away. Emma knows they have Henry but never thought she would be a mother but she missed the whole sleepless nights, dirty nappies, first steps and taking Henry to his first day of school. Essentially Emma would like a second chance and she would like to go through all that with Regina by her side.
"Ma, Ma MA" Henry shouted
"Is there any need to shout" she asked.
"I was talking to you for ages and you just ignored me" he huffed.
Henry walked to the fridge and grabbed himself a can of soda and sat down at the kitchen counter.
"I did not ignore you I was thinking about something and got carried away" she replied.
"If you say so."
"Your mother has enough sass for all of us so you can cut yours out" she replied.
Henry rolled his eyes.
"The eye roll is mine and the sass is your mothers so you need to find something of your own."
"That's not fair" he sighed
"Well kid I think it's about time you realised life isn't fair. Now let's finish cleaning up before your mother comes down and threatens you end our lives" she joked.
Regina walked into the kitchen just as they had finished cleaning the kitchen. "Well look at you two I guess I've finally got you both trained" she laughed.
"We are not animals Regina."
Regina wrapped her arm around Emma's waist and husked "Darling we both know you're an animal in the bedroom."
Emma walked to the fridge and grabbed the bacon. She chucked the bacon to Regina "you cooking us breakfast then babe?" she asked.
"Well you both did a very good job of cleaning up your mess, so yes I will cook you both breakfast" she replied.
Regina cooked them breakfast, once every last scrap of food was gone and the kitchen was back to being pristine they spent the rest of the afternoon watching films. Emma woke up at 8:00pm in the living room alone, she couldn't even remember falling asleep. She guessed working two jobs and trying to fit in spending time with her family was taking its toll. She rolled over not realising she was so close to the edge and fell off the couch onto the floor, smacking her head on the corner of the table. She couldn't believe how clumsy she actually was and trust Henry or Regina not to be around to rescue her. She stood up off the floor and shuffled into the kitchen trying not to drip blood on the floor. Emma grabbed some antiseptic wipes and plasters from the first aid box, Regina had insisted on buying when she agreed to move in. Even though Emma hated Regina buying it and implying she should come with her own sign saying accident prone beware. Emma always tells her after every accident, she isn't clumsy just the floor just hates her, the tables and chairs are bullies and the walls get in her way. Emma opened the antiseptic wipe and cleaned up the small cut on her head and then placed a plaster over it. She was pretty pleased with herself, she managed to do it all without Regina's help. She tidied everything away and went in search of her family, she knew they weren't in the kitchen well unless they were hiding so she decided to try Regina's study. As Emma got closer to the study she heard Regina and Henry laughing so she decided to find out what they were up to. Emma leaned against the door to the study and just watched her family for a few minutes, it was almost like she was taking it all in, like she didn't believe that this was real and if she blinked it would all be gone. After a few minutes of watching them play chess, Emma could see Regina was beating Henry so she went and crouched behind him and whispered three more moves into his ear.
"You should know cheaters never prosper darling" Regina said.
Each time Henry made a move Regina made one better. Emma looked Regina straight in the eye, licked her lips and mouthed "I need to fuck you."
Emma knew that Regina would get totally flustered and it would give Henry a better chance to win. A few minutes later and Henry was calling check mate, Emma knew her plan had worked.
"Well done kid, why don't you go and have a shower and get ready for bed" she suggested.
Emma really wanted to get Regina upstairs to bed because tomorrow is Monday meaning she goes back to working two jobs and they won't get much time together.
"Mom it's only early do I really need to get ready for bed" he whined.
"Henry Daniel Mills your mother has asked you to do something so off you go please" Regina ordered.
"But I don't want to."
"Don't argue with your mother."
Henry looked at Emma and huffed "not even"
"Or your mother" Regina interrupted.
Henry stood up and stormed out of Regina's study. Emma really hated that Henry was mad at them but she knew this came with being a parent. She knew it wasn't going to be all fun or games but Henry was a pretty good kid and was only hard work like 10% of the time and Emma knew that no matter what was thrown at them they could deal with it together. Emma really wanted to ask Regina would she want another child but she knew it was too early in their relationship and also Emma couldn't find the words.
"Darling, are you listening to me?" Regina asked
Emma shook her head and was brought back to reality. "Sorry baby, I was just thinking about some stuff. What did you say?"
"Is everything Ok?"
"Yes everything is perfectly fine babe. I was just thinking we should go on a double date with Belle and Ruby."
Emma knew she shouldn't have lied but it was only a little white lie and she was actually thinking about a double date, it might not have been in that moment but she was still thinking about it.
"That sounds like an excellent idea darling. How about I send a text to Ruby and see if her and Belle are up for it?"
Emma was rather surprised that Regina was actually on board with going on a double date with Ruby and Belle. It just proved to Emma how far Regina and their relationship had actually come. Regina picked up her phone and she was about to text Ruby when she noticed that she had a message off Belle.
Belle: Regina, I know this is a rather odd question and very personal one at that. I have no idea who to ask but do you and Emma have a strap on?
Regina went bright red and couldn't hide her embarrassment. "Babe, what's up?"
Regina didn't even know what to say she just showed her phone to Emma. Emma couldn't stop herself from laughing. Regina took the phone out of Emma's hand and swatted her with it.
"Darling, don't laugh this is not funny."
"I'm sorry but Belle asked you if we have a strap on and to me that means her and Ruby are thinking about getting one and to me that's funny."
"Emma other people's sex life is not something to laugh at. Now how do I reply to this text?" Regina asked.
"Baby, I'm not laughing at their sex life. I'm not even sure why I'm laughing, I think it's because when you look at Belle she looks all sweet and innocent and a person who would be very boring in bed when in fact she's the opposite. I just didn't expect Belle to text you something like that, I expected Ruby to be the one to text me or you."
"OK, I will let you off but you still haven't told me how to reply."
"When are you getting me off?" Emma husked.
"If you don't help me it will be a very long time until I'm getting you off."
Emma took the phone out of Regina's hand and decided to send a text back on her behalf because she knew Regina was thinking too much into it.
No we don't have a strap on, why do you ask? Are you and Ruby considering buying one because I never thought you would be the type to be into that.
Emma, I'm sure Belle text Regina's phone and not yours, meaning she wanted Regina's input not YOURS!
Regina grabbed her phone off Emma and read the message. "Darling, I told you I needed your help not for you to text Belle back yourself."
"I'm sorry baby, but you were taking too long to text back and it wasn't a hard question, we don't own a strap on therefore all you had to do was say no we don't."
Regina went bright red again and shifted her gaze from Emma.
"Baby, why have you gone the colour of a tomato?"
"I have no idea what you're talking about Emma, now let's go upstairs and get ready for bed."
Regina made her way out of her study when Emma grabbed her arm. "Mayor Mills, you are not going anywhere until you tell me why you have gone bright red."
Regina ducked her head and tried her hardest to bring her normal complexion back. "Emma it's nothing, can we just go upstairs?" Regina pleaded.
"Baby, you know you can tell me anything."
"Okay, I looked into us maybe getting a strap on" Regina muttered.
Just as her normal complexion started to come back Regina went bright red again. She let go of Emma's hand and ran upstairs to their bedroom. Regina led down on her bed and buried her head into the pillow. She had no idea why she was so embarrassed. Regina led on their bed for another few minutes before Emma came in and sat next to her.
"Baby, can I ask you something?"
Regina pulled her head out of the pillows and placed her head on Emma's lap. "You can ask me anything darling."
"Am I not enough for you?"
"What do you mean?"
"Well I've always thought that lesbians buy strap ons when they are bored with their sex life and want to spice things up. So I'm wondering are you bored of our sex life, do you want to go back to sleeping with men?"
"Emma how can you even ask that. Our sex life is unbelievable, I love everything about it darling and nothing could change that. I don't want to go back to sleeping with men or anyone else for that matter. Basically I was having a drink with Ruby and we were discussing it and when she left I did some investigating."
"As long as you're not bored with me then a strap on is something we can discuss. You know I'm open to anything when it comes to the bedroom so you don't need to be embarrassed about it."
"Yes darling you are open to anything when it comes to the bedroom expect for making the bed or doing anything to keep our bedroom clean" Regina joked.
"Regina, you are not even slightly funny."
"So you would be open to maybe looking into buying one?" Regina asked.
Emma ran her hands through Regina's hair and kissed the top of her head.
"LISTEN TO ME REGINA MILLS, IF YOU WANT TO BUY A STRAP ON THEN WE WILL BUY A STRAP ON!" Emma yelled.
"Why are you yelling?"
"Just so you know that I'm totally okay with it."
Regina lifted her head off Emma's lap, climbed off the bed and walked to the bedroom door. "I'm just going to say goodnight to Henry then when I come back we can cuddle in bed."
"What no sex before bed?" Emma asked.
"No Miss Swan because every time we have sex when Henry is in the house he walks in on us."
"But, Baby I'm super turned on. The thought of me wearing a strap on with you riding it while digging your nails into my shoulders is so fucking hot."
Regina looked back at Emma, licked her lips then opened the door. Henry was stood there looking nearly as white as a ghost.
"I was coming to say goodnight when I heard Ma yelling so I waited until you had both finished your row but quickly realised it wasn't a row and I was just about to go back into my bedroom when you opened the door."
"Henry, how long have you been standing here exactly?"
Regina didn't want to know the answer because she was pretty sure he had been stood there for the whole of the conversation.
"Long enough" Henry muttered.
"Well…"
Regina wasn't even sure what to say, she was just as embarrassed as Henry was. Emma jumped off the bed, sprinted towards the door and pulled Regina back into the bedroom.
"I'm sorry you heard all that kid, but it's rude to ease drop. Off you go to bed, you got school in the morning. We love you kid."
Regina was proud of how Emma handled that, well not so much handled it but made it less awkward. Henry kissed Emma on the cheek and leaned over to kiss Regina's cheek.
"Night darling."
Henry closed the door and Regina climbed back into bed followed by Emma. "Let's get some sleep shall we. We've got a busy few weeks coming up so we need to make the most of our sleep."
Regina undressed and Emma did the same and they cuddled up in bed and let sleep take over.
It's been two days since Henry overheard Emma and Regina having a talk about sex and Emma is pretty sure they've scarred him for life. As well Henry avoiding her, Regina is giving Emma the silent treatment. Emma knew it was her fault because she wasn't exactly being quiet or subtle talking about getting a strap on. Henry should be on his way home from his friend's house and Regina won't be home for another couple of hours. Emma decided that they need to have the birds and bees talk with Henry. Emma grabbed herself a beer when the front door swung open and slammed shut.
"Kid, can you come in here please, I want to talk to you about something."
Emma wasn't sure how to start this talk but she hoped that it would clear a few things up.
"Darling why are you yelling?" Regina asked as she walked into the kitchen.
Emma strolled over to her and tried to give her a kiss but Regina moved away.
"Come on Gina I said I was sorry and I won't let it happen again so can we just move past the silent treatment and the death stares please" she begged.
Emma knew if she turned on the charm and used the puppy dog eyes on Regina that it would make it impossible for Regina to stay mad.
"Fine darling you are forgiven but on one condition, you give Henry the sex talk."
"Babe it's like you're in my head, I was thinking about giving him the talk today as well."
Regina walked to the fridge and grabbed Emma a beer.
"Here you go you will need this" she giggled.
Regina started to walk out of the kitchen when Emma grabbed her arm and pulled her into a very passionate kiss.
"You're not going anywhere Madame Mayor we do this together "she ordered.
Emma pulled out the chair for Regina and then sat down next to her.
I pulled out the chair next to Emma and sat down. Emma leaned over and kissed Regina just as Henry walked into the kitchen. "Gross, can't you leave me a note if you plan on engaging in romantic things so I can grab myself a sick bucket."
"Henry that is not funny, can you please take a seat.
"Mum I was going to grab a snack and go upstairs to do my homework so can't this wait" he sighed.
"No kid, it can't wait so sit down" Emma ordered.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean it, it was an accident and I tried to fix it but I couldn't" he cried.
"Henry darling what exactly are you talking about?" Regina questioned
"Well I was doing the washing up and Mum your favourite mug was in there the one that Grandpa Henry gave you when you were little and I dropped it and it smashed" he confessed.
Henry stood up, walked over and sat down on Regina's lap. He wrapped his hands around her neck and kissed her cheek.
"Henry it was only a mug; I have a lot of things that your Grandpa gave me some that I treasure very much and these are safe in a memory box along with all the things that I treasure from when you were a baby. So I promise darling you don't need to be sorry like you said it was an accident."
"Now that is out in the open there is something we want to talk to you about kid and it may be a bit of a shock but we would like to talk to you about sex" Emma admitted.
"Mum I love you both but I don't want to have this talk" he muttered.
"We understand that Henry but we just want to make sure you understand everything you need to know so when the time comes and you have a girlfriend or boyfriend you will know to be safe" she explained.
Both Henry's and Emma's jaws fell open and they just looked at Regina
"Mum what do you mean girlfriend or boyfriend" he asked.
"Well darling I don't want you to ever think that we would have a problem if you came home with a boyfriend, we will always love you no matter what" she replied.
"Regina you do realise that our kid has lesbian mums right, so him having a boyfriend would never be a problem" Emma laughed.
"Mum I don't know whether I like girls or boys or both" Henry admitted.
"That's not a problem darling, I always thought I only liked boys but things change, love isn't about whether it's a girl or a boy it's about who makes you happy and falling in love with your mum was the best thing I've done since adopting you" Regina replied.
Emma leaned over, kissed Regina's cheek and whispered "I love you so much babe."
"Ma as much as I hate to say this but this is getting way too soppy for my liking so could you get on with the sex talk" he begged.
"Yes, we can, well Emma it's over to you then" Regina giggled.
Emma wasn't sure how she got conned into giving this talk and she wasn't sure how she was going to deal with it because she wasn't very good at explaining things and she didn't want to mess this up.
Emma shifted in her seat and Regina could see she was feeling uncomfortable so she decided to help her out.
"Henry how about you tell us exactly what you know about sex and we can go from there."
"I don't really know much, just that sex is normally a thing men and woman do to have babies and that's all I know" he replied.
"Okay kid well that is one reason men and woman have sex but it's not only men and woman who have sex. Woman who love woman will have sex and men who love men have sex with each other. Sex is not only something people do to make babies, lots of people have sex to connect with each other and that is called making love but also people have sex because it feels good" Emma admitted.
Emma was feeling pretty pleased with herself because she was handling this rather well.
"Losing your virginity is a very big deal Henry and it's important that you do this with the right person and only when you are ready. You should never let anyone force you into it okay. It's also very important that you are safe when having sex" Regina explained.
Henry looked at Emma confused "What do you mean I need to be safe when having sex?" he asked.
Emma stood up and walked out of the kitchen and came back with a box of condoms. "Darling why exactly do we have a box of condoms as we clearly don't need them" Regina questioned.
"Regina they have been in the bathroom cabinet for months, I put them in there just in case Henry ever needed them and didn't want to ask us for them" she replied.
"Emma our son is way too young to be having sex so you should NOT have bought him any condoms" she yelled.
"Babe come on kids are having sex young these days and I didn't want Henry to make the same mistakes I did so by having condoms in the house he could at least be safe when and if he starts to have sex" she sighed.
"So I was a mistake, is that why you gave me up" he muttered.
Henry stood up and started to walk out of the kitchen when Emma grabbed his arm. "Kid come and sit down and let me explain" she pleaded
"Emma, you called me a mistake what else is there for you to explain" he yelled.
"Henry Daniel Mills don't disrespect your mother by calling her Emma, don't yell at her and sit down so she can explain" Regina ordered.
Henry sat down and Emma mouthed thank you to Regina.
"Henry you were not a mistake, you were an accident and as you know I found out I was pregnant when I was in prison. At first I was extremely happy but then it dawned on me that I didn't even have a place to live or any family to help me out with you. As much as I wanted to keep you I knew I wasn't fit to be a mother and that you deserved a real family someone that could look after you and give you everything you needed. And that's exactly what happened kid, your Mum adopted you and she gave you the best life possible and then we became a family it was like it was meant to be" Emma admitted.
"I'm sorry Ma, I didn't mean to call you Emma or yell at you. But It's nice to think that maybe it was meant to be" Henry replied.
"Yes darling I really think it was meant to be too, we are now a family and I believe everything happens for a reason" Regina said.
"So are you ready to get back to this sex talk" Emma asked.
Emma walked to the fridge and grabbed a cucumber then walked back over to Regina and Henry.
"What I meant about being safe when you are ready to have sex Henry is that you need to wear a condom" Regina explained.
Emma couldn't believe how difficult this was turning out to be. She thought about how it would be so much easier when they have a daughter. Crap, what was she doing, she shouldn't be thinking of having a baby with Regina, focus Emma, condoms, sex, talk, Henry.
"Henry a condom is like a rain coat but for your man bits."
"So eloquently put dear."
"But Ma why would I need to cover my man bits when I have sex, I don't really understand" he sighed.
"Kid don't feel like you're stupid, I will explain it to you just hold on" Emma replied. Emma walked over to the cupboards and grabbed a bag of gummy worms and an egg and walked back over to the table.
"Emma I don't really think it's time for a snack and gummy worms and a raw egg is a very weird combination so what are you up to" she questioned.
"Regina I'm not going to eat these; I'm going to explain to Henry what will happen if he doesn't wear a condom when he has sex. So Henry the gummy worms represent the sperm in a man and the egg represents the egg inside a woman. When a man's penis enters a woman's vagina it will make sperm and if the penis is not covered with a condom then the sperm will swim up to find the egg like this and then they will make a baby" she explained.
"So that's how a baby is made, it doesn't sound as complicated as I thought it would" he admitted.
"Now darling, your mother is going to teach you how to put a condom on this cucumber. The condom sort of works as a protector so the sperm doesn't get the chance to meet the egg" Regina replied.
Emma opened the box of condoms and pulled one out. "The first thing you need to do kid is check it's actually in date, then check that it doesn't have any holes in the packaging once you've done that you can open it making sure not to rip it. Then place it on the palm of your hand and see which was it should go, then you would put it on the top of the penis then roll it down making sure not to spilt it. Here why don't you try it on the cucumber yourself" Emma suggested.
Henry did everything Emma taught him and he put the condom on perfectly. Emma was so surprised he understood everything.
"Mum look I did it and it didn't rip" Henry bragged.
"Well done darling, now is there any questions before you go and do your homework?" Regina asked.
"Urm, I do, kinda, have, urm, one, question" he stuttered.
"What's that then kid?" Emma asked.
"How do two women have sex?" he mumbled.
"No I'm sorry darling no more questions. Off you go upstairs to do your homework" Regina ordered.
Henry didn't even argue with them he just walked out of the kitchen and went upstairs. Emma looked at Regina and she looked at her and they both started laughing.
"I think we should leave the whole lesbian sex to the internet" Emma giggled.
"Maybe not the internet but maybe explain it to him when he's a bit older. Now how about we have some of our own lesbian sex whilst Henry is doing his homework" Regina suggested.
"Madame Mayor I'm sure you gave me the silent treatment for at least two days. So no we will not be having some of our own lesbian sex. How about you go into your study and do some work and I will run you a bath and then make a start on dinner so off you go and if you argue then I will put you on a sex ban" she threatened.
