Warning: Before I begin, this is a story containing, comedy, violence, some kissing -not alot don't worry- in certain episodes, the rating may go up if so. But for now the rating will stay at K+. Now lets start.
The girl in this story is named Kari and not the Kari from Digimon digital monsters. She starts off 10 years old then she becomes 13. If you've seen Final Fantasy Digimon Data Squad X (Rated T), you would have seen these characters. Yes I am using Junior (Shiromaru) and Karen (Kagome) as Kari's parents because it is set 10 years after season 4. Marcus and Rosalia aren't mentioned in this but there is little mentioned about them.

Kari was at the airport with her parents saying goodbye to them as they were leaving for England. But she never knew that it would be the last time seeing them.
"Kari are you sure that you're going to be fine on your own?" Karen asked.
"Dad don't worry I'm a big girl now you don't need to worry." Kari answered.
Soon their flight was called. They soon headed over to the terminal 4. They were just about to leave when Junior remembered something. He ran up to Kari, and gave her a bracelet that his mother wore.
"Here Kari. It's something that my mother wore before she died." Junior said.
"Dad. Thanks! You're too nice!" Kari answered.
"You can never know someone as nice as your parents. Bye Kari!" Junior called out, running towards the gate.
"Bye dad!" Kari called back, waving.
Soon the plane left ground and was in its way to England. Kari was still at the airport watching her parents' plane go until it was completely out of sight. But that didn't happen. The plane jolted, started to plummet to the ground at a terrifying speed, then crashed in the middle of a field with a huge explosion consuming the plane in bright red, orange and yellow flames. Kari's eyes widened with horror. She rushed out of the airport as fast as she could, heading for the crash site. As soon as she arrived, she got past the barricades, and began searching the burning rubble for her parents. She could only find her dad. His dark blue top was black with debris and red with blood. His arm was badly twisted, bright red blood was leaking from the large cut on his hand. His face was bloody and dark with burns. His brown hair was almost black. Karen was nowhere to be found. Fire fighters managed to get Kari and Junior out. Junior was being taken into an ambulance with Kari by his side all the time.
"Is my dad going to be fine!?" Kari asked, worried.
"Don't worry as soon as he gets to hospital we are going to have to preform surgery!" A paramedic said. "Right now all you can do is wait!"
-3 hours later-
Kari was in the hospital waiting room, hoping, begging, praying and pleading, that her dad would make it out alive. The doctor entered.
"Your father's ok but he's in a serious state of shock. Try not to push him as much." The doctor told Kari.
Soon she was in Junior's hospital room by his side, not leaving. Tears leaked from her eyes and ran down her cheeks.
"Dad, please don't leave me... You're the only one I have left..." Kari sobbed quietly.
4 weeks had passed. When Kari came to visit, she was shocked to hear that her father had died.
"What!? My dad's gone!? But I thought he would...!" Kari said, trying to hold back her tears, but more just kept coming back.
"Early this morning, your father had a fatal cardiac arrest, and we weren't successful to save him. We are really sorry." The doctor said.
Kari fell to her knees and cried so hard that a large puddle formed around her.
"It's not fair! Why dad!? Why!?" Kari cried out in her pain.
-3 years later-
Kari was standing panic-stricken infront of her father as his face was screwed with anger.
"You got an F? When I was your age I would at least get B's. Seriously, your just a pathetic, dumb, useless spoilt little girl!" Kyle snapped at her. He lifted up his palm, and slapped her round the face. Kari would nearly cry at everything her father would say but she would let it all out when she saw her mother get hit back.
"Kyle you need to calm down! I'm sure she can do better if you encourage her and-" Michelle was cut off by Kyle again.
"SHUT THE HELL UP! Encouraging her is going to do nothing but make her more of the spoilt little brat she is already!" Kyle yelled at her.
Kari was just getting her shoes and bag on to goto school.
"And where do you think you're going?" Kyle asked, looking like he was going to beat Kari up again.
"I'm g-going to school." Kari answered, sounding as if she was going to cry again.
"Good. Maybe you'll get something in that empty head of yours." Kyle said, pointing at Kari's head.
As soon as Kari left, she made her first stop at a cemetry, to see her mother and father's grave.
"Mum, dad, I really miss you... My life is just a useless piece of trash being thrown around. Same school, same old parents. No one really wants me anymore..." Kari said, tearfully.
-later-
Kari was late for school again. She arrived at the gates, but she saw two boys there as well. One had Black hair with blue eyes while the other one had brown hair combed to the back and was holding a puppet.
"Who are those two? I've never seen them around before..." Kari thought to herself. The bell rang. Kari started running for the entrance. She arrived at her classroom A-3.
"Oh no... I'm late again. Sir won't be happy." Kari whispered. As soon as she got into the classroom, everyone looked at her.
"Late again Kari. I know you're still suffering, but that doesn't mean you are aloud to be late nearly everyday." Kari's teacher told her.
"I'm sorry. It won't happen again." Kari said. Kari went to take her seat and got all her equipment out.
"Listen up class, we have two transfer students coming today." The teacher told everyone.
"Two transfer students...? At this time of year?" Kari thought to herself.
Two boys entered. It was the same boys Kari saw.
"Huh? Those are the two boys I saw this morning." Kari thought to her self.
"Hi. My name's Akira." The boy with Black hair said.
"And I'm Mikage." He said. However his mouth didn't move. It was his puppet that talked.
"Go take the seats between Kari." The teacher told them.
"Oh wow! They're going to sit next to a psych!" Emerald laughed. Her two other sisters laughed along.
"YOU THREE! You've got half an hour with me after school!" The teacher shouted angrily. The three girls went silent straight away.
Half an hour later...
Kari was walking through the school hallways all by herself.
"Thank goodness class is over. I thought it would never end." Kari thought to herself. While she was walking, people were talking about her.
"Oh my gosh she's such a freak. I'm going to feel sorry for those boys." A girl whispered.
"Hah! I know. Everyday I see her go to a cemetry and cry over her parents' dead bodies!" Another girl said.
"Mommy, Daddy, I MISS YOU SO MUCH!" Another girl said, mocking Kari. The four girls laughed. Until a wavy brown haired girl came and yelled,
"YOU LOT! STOP TALKING ABOUT KARI! HER PARENTS HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU!" Leona yelled.
"Oh we're sorry Leona it won't happen again!" The four girls said, begging for mercy.
"Good." Leona continued on. The four girls left.
"Kari, are you ok?" She asked.
"Yeah," She replied. "Anyway. I made lunch for the two of us. We can eat it outside together."
"I'm sorry Kari. School council meeting again. See ya later!" Leona answered.
"Ok... Maybe another time... Bye." Kari said. Leona went to the meeting room.
"I might aswell go and eat by myself as usual. No one wants to be my friend. Everyone either thinks I'm a freak or I'm just too scary." Kari thought to herself.
"Kari!" A voice called out. Kari looked up. It was Mikage and Akira.
"Do you know where the cafeteria is?" Mikage asked. Again it was the puppet that was speaking.
"The school was so big, we got lost!" Akira said.
"Oh. The cafeteria just down stairs to the left. I'll show you." Kari said.
"Really? Thanks!" Akira said.
"It's ok." Kari answered.
They began walking to the cafeteria. Then they arrived there.
"Thanks Kari for being our friend and your help. Would you like to eat with us?" Akira asked.
"Akira have you lost it!? If SHE sits with us everyone will thin- OW!" Mikage was interrupted by Akira stepping on his foot.
"Oh, sure. Why not." Kari smiled.
"Wow! She smiled for the first time!" Akira thought to himself.
After school...
Kari was just changing her shoes when someone called her voice.
"Kari! Wanna walk home together?" Mikage asked.
"Sure." Kari answered.
They both changed their shoes and left the school. Kari made her first stop at her house.
"Bye Mikage! Bye Akira!" Kari called out.
"Bye Kari!" They both called out.
Kari entered her house to notice her mother wasn't there. She called out but there was no answer. So she decided to go to her room and see if she was there cleaning. Instead she found a note on the pillow of her bed. Kari picked it up and read,
"To Kari, By the time you have found this letter, I will have gone far, far away. I wish I could take you, But I had no choice. I'm really sorry. Love you, from your Mother."
"No... This can't be right!" Kari cried. "She's gone! SHE'S GONE!" She fell on her bed, and cried for half an hour. Then she got to the point she couldn't take it anymore. Kari was going to run away from her dad. He was the one to blame. She got up, took her dad's large bag and put her clothes, and the stuff that meant alot to her. She went to her dad's room and took some money. Then she wrote a letter saying:
"To dad, you'll be glad to hear that I've run away. Since mum has left, so have I. I have taken Some money that will keep me going until the orphanage. From Kari. PS, the keys are under the mat."
Kari got her shoes on, went outside, left the note on the doorstep, and ran. When she ran past the park, she noticed something lying on the ground. It had gotten dark, but Kari could make it out. It was an injured digimon.
"What is that? Whatever it is I gotta get it help!" Kari said. She picked it up and the thing beside it which looked like some sort of gadget and ran. Along the way it began to pelt. She was running so fast that she accidently bumped into someone and fell to the ground with a dull thud.
"Oww that really hurt... Wait Kari?" Akira said, holding his stomach. "Kari what are you doing out here at this time of night? You could get hurt! Come to my place before you catch a cold!" He grabbed Kari and ran.
Later...
The injured digimon was in a bed in the guest bedroom of Akira's house. He put a blanket round Kari to keep her warm.
"Sorry about this place being a mess. Anyway, what were you doing outside at night like that?" Akira asked.
"I was running away from my dad." She answered.
"What why!?" He asked again.
"Because he made my mother leave him with me. He didn't even care, he just neglected me and abused me for half a year." She answered.
"Why didn't your dad care!? I thought he was meant to treat you like you were his true daughter!" Akira questioned.
"He's not my real dad. He's my foster dad." Kari answered. "My real parents died... 3 years ago... I'll never see them again... It's all my fault!" Kari began to sob. "I had 7 foster parents and they all kicked me out because I was frail and useless."
"Oh... Kari! I am so sorry! I never knew that you went through all that!" Akira told Kari. "I'll let you stay here! No matter what!" He continued.
"Oh Akira... Thank you... At least you care about me I never had a true friend before!" Kari sobbed. "Shouldn't you let your parents know that I'm here?" She asked.
"Huh? My parents? They're too busy with work so they won't mind." He answered.
Later...
"Akira, what's that?" Kari asked.
"What's what?" Akira asked back.
"That." She answered. Kari pointed at the egg. "What's that egg thing?"
"To be completely honest I don't know. I was just hanging out my laundry to dry when the egg just came floating down from the sky." Akira answered. "I wonder what it is..."
Much much later...
Kari and Akira were sleeping. Akira was sleeping with the mysterious egg on his bedside. Then it started to release a white glow, making him wake up. He took the egg and it began to glow brighter and then filled the entire room. 5 minutes after, Akira opened his eyes to see an punimon in his hands.
"Woah. What... What in my dad's name is that!? I've never seen it before in my entire life!" Akira thought to himself. The baby digimon snuggled up in his arms. Akira smiled and let it sleep beside him.
With Kari,
Kari was just asleep when the digimon sleeping on the floor woke up.
"Aah! You're awake!" Kari said startledly getting up in her bed.
"Yes miss and can you please tell me where am I and how I got here?" Gaomon asked. Kari started to panic and frantically look around her room.
"Oh no oh no oh no! It spoke to me it spoke to me! What should I say!?" Kari thought to herself then stopped and said,
"Well, you are at my friend's, Akira's house. And I bought you here because you got hurt. Anyway what is your name?" Kari asked.
"My name is Gaomon." Gaomon answered.
"Woah. You look like a puppy!" Kari said. Gaomon blushed. She felt his ears and his fur on his chest. "Don't you get hot like that?"
"Uhh... Only in the summer my lady." Gaomon answered, beginning to blush harder.
"And you're nose is wet... You really are like one!" Kari said, feeling his nose.
"Thank you my Lady, for saving my life." said Gaomon.
"Huh!? My name's Kari! And not lady!" Kari said, sounding angry.
"My apologies my lady, I shall call you Lady Kari." Gaomon said.
Kari sighed. "This is never going to work."
The next day...
Kari woke up to the sunlight coming through her window. Since she had moved in with Akira, she wasn't used to seeing the sunlight every morning since her old room at her foster parent's house had no window.
"Oooh... Too bright... Huh? Oh it's morning. Gaomon, you awake?" Kari asked, sounding tired.
"Huh? Sorry my lady, I fell asleep while I was trying to protect you." Gaomon said, waking up.
"Don't worry Gaomon. All of us Need sleep at some point." Kari smiled. "Although that was the best sleep I've ever had in just half a year. Now I can stop falling asleep during classes." She thought.
Flashback...
"Kari!" Kari was woken up by the teacher yelling at her.
"Sleeping again in class Kari. Now you have got yourself a detention." Said the teacher. Everyone laughed and pointed at her.
"I bet she tries to sleep with the fact that she killed her own parents so that's why she can never sleep!" Said Sapphire, giggling.
Back to the present...
"Is there something wrong, Lady Kari?" Gaomon asked.
"Oh, it's nothing." She answered. "Better get ready for school or I will end up having a late mark again."
Kari had a shower, got dressed and went downstairs with Gaomon.
"What's that smell?" Kari asked.
"Something must be cooking." Gaomon said.
Kari and Gaomon entered the dining room, to see Akira and Mikage there, eating breakfast.
"Ah!? Oh no! That's right! I completely forgot I had moved in with Akira!" Kari thought.
"Morning Kari. How ya' doing?" Asked Akira.
"Hi Kari." Said Elecmon.
"Wow you're like the only person I know who can sleep through moving furniture." Said Mikage.
"Moving Furniture?" Asked Kari, looking around.
"So how does it look to you?" Asked Akira.
"Oh it looks nice." Complimented Kari.
"Yeah but sleeping really didn't do any- OW!" Mikage was interrupted again by Akira, kicking his shin.
"Here, sit down you two and have something to eat." Said BlackAgumon, handing over two plates of toast and mugs of hot chocolate.
"Thanks." Said Kari.
"Uh, my lady, what is this?" Asked Gaomon.
"Oh, it's hot chocolate. Once you drink it, it's really nice and warm." Answered Kari.
-Flash Back-
Junior put his hand on Kari's forehead.
"This is bad. Her food poisoning's gotten worse." Junior said in a low tone to prevent Kari's screaming headache get worse. "Karen, get me some hot chocolate with a paracetamol tablet." Karen went out of Kari's room quickly and got a mug of hot chocolate.
"Kari, Kari." Karen said quietly, carefully shaking her. Kari slowly opened her eyes to see Karen. "Kari, here's some nice hot chocolate."
Kari started to drink even though she was beginning to feel sick.
"Wow, it's really warm." Said Kari in a hoarse voice, the more she drank the more she felt comfortable.
-Back to the present-
Gaomon started drinking. Kari scoffed her food down and drank her hot chocolate very quickly.
"Huh? What was that all about Kari?" Asked Akira.
"Oh. Erm nothing. I'll start making the lunches." Answered Kari, getting up out of her chair and going to the counter.
Kari got the lunch boxes and started to fill them with food.
"Kari..." Akira thought.
Later...
Kari stood there staring at the mysterious gadget while infront of Gaomon.
"So how the heck am I meant to use this again...?" She thought to herself.
"My lady, do you need help?" Asked Gaomon.
"Uhhhhmmm No! I am just fine! Don't you worry about me!" Kari said. "Holy cheese sandwiches! I have no clue to what I'm Doing!" Kari thought, sweating like crazy. Then she came to her senses and said,
"Gaomon, into the digivice or whatever you call it thingy!" And Gaomon was inside it right away. -pokerface-
"...Wow ._. It actually worked." Akira said.
"Ha..." Muttered Mikage.
"Sometimes, I wonder if they were ever switched at birth." Said BlackAgumon.
"Me too." Replied Mikage.
Later...
In period 4, before lunch, Kari, Mikage and Akira were passing notes in class.
"Hey wanna have lunch together?" The first note said from Kari. Mikage and Akira received the note.
"Sure." the note from Akira said.
"Ok." the note from Mikage said.
After class, everyone was going outside. When everyone left the building, they summoned their digimon partners to have lunch.
"No one's here, you won't get seen." Said Mikage.
"Kari mind if I eat lunch with you?" Asked Leona, entering the classroom.
"Aaah Oh my gosh! Our cover's blown!" Cried Kari.
"You have digimon partners aswell? So do I. I don't want any of the school council knowing anything about this, or I'm going to end up being kicked out!" Said Leona.
"Leona Leona you are such a worry wart!" Said a digimon, coming from Leona's back.
"And..." Said Gaomon.
"Who are you?" Asked Mikage, Akira, BlackAgumon and Elecmon.
"I'm Patamon." Answered Patamon.
"That's Leona. She's from the school council and she's really nice." Explained Kari.
"Ok then LET'S EAT LUNCH!" Shouted Akira.
"Calm down Akira there still may be teachers in this building and if they find out you just shouted, they'll go insane!" Whispered Leona.
"Since when did you become the master of ceremonies -_-" Asked Kari, gaomon, Elecmon, Mikage and BlackAgumon.
"Errrr... I can't find my chopsticks. I put them here earlier!" Said Kari, looking through her bag.
"I'll help you find them. I'm sure you didn't drop it too far away." Said Leona.
"Ok thanks." Said Kari.
They both left the classroom with their digimon partners.
"So... Where did you drop it my lady?" Asked Gaomon.
"I think you dropped it over there." Said Leona.
Kari looked ahead of her to see a small box with red cherry blossoms all over.
"It's a small box. And a pretty one." Said Patamon, picking it up.
"Thanks everyone." Said Kari.
Kari was the 1st one to get back to the classroom, and she slightly opened the door to see the crystal triplets, Emerald, Sapphire and Ruby, talking to Mikage and Akira. She remained outside the room, silently.
"Hey I think you should have lunch with us!" Said Sapphire.
"Have lunch with us instead of Kari. I don't think you wanna hang around her," Said Emerald.
"Like yeah she like, killed her own parents." Said Ruby.
Kari turned her head away.
"My lady, what's the matter?" Asked Gaomon.
"Lets go." Said Kari, looking down.
"But I thought-" Gaomon was cut of by Kari grabbing his wrist and running.
"LET'S JUST GO!" She cried.
Leona and Patamon were going back to the classroom when Kari came running past them.
"Kari! Where are you-!" Asked Leona.
"What's wrong with Kari?" Asked Patamon.
"I don't know." Answered Leona.
Kari was at the top of the school building with Gaomon, eating lunch on their own. Akira, Mikage, Leona, Elecmon, Patamon and BlackAgumon found Kari.
"Kari!" Yelled Akira.
"We finally found you!" Said Elecmon.
"Why did you run off like that on us?" Asked Patamon.
"You Looked upset." Continued Leona.
"I thought you two wanted to eat lunch with the crystal triplets." Answered Kari.
"UM NO! They gave me the creeps!" Said Mikage angrily.
"We were waiting for you to come rescue us!" Continued BlackAgumon.
"Don't just ditch us like that again or I'll-" Mikage's pale cream face went red with pain as BlackAgumon kicked his shin with all his might.
"Or you'll never talk again." Continued BlackAgumon.
"THANK GOD!" Said Akira. Everyone laughed.
They were all finishing their lunch when they were attacked by a digimon. They were all blown away by an explosion.
"Ngh...! What was that!?" Asked Akira, pushing himself up. When the dust cleared, the digimon revealed itself.
"Uh oh! that's Flymon!" Answered Elecmon.
"When he sees someone he despises, it equals to seriously bad news!" Answered Patamon.
"Everyone are you ok!?" Asked Leona, dusting her self off.
"Yeah we're fine!" Answered Everyone else.
"What was that?" Asked Kari.
"Flymon. He's aggressive. Becareful my lady anything you do could get you hurt!" Answered Gaomon.
"It's going to attack! Get out of the way!" Yelled Mikage, running away.
Everyone managed to run away as Kari tripped and fell.
"Lady Kari!" Said Gaomon, running over.
"You two! Get out of the way!" Yelled everyone. Flymon had a fully charged beam in its mouth and took aim at Kari and Gaomon. It swept across the half of the surface causing it to fall, taking both of them off the building.
"KARI!" Everyone cried. Luckily Kari and Gaomon were saved by a person with his digimon. She was being held in the boy's arms.
"Tell me. Do you know what Digievolution is?" Asked the boy.
"What!?" Asked Kari, confused.
"Don't look at me that way! Do you know what digievolution is!?" Asked the boy again, sounding stressed.
"N-no." Answered Kari.
"Fine. For that I'll let your digimon live." Said the boy.
"What!? What are you going to do to Kari?" Asked everyone, sounding shocked.
"Grrrr! What are you going to do to my lady!?" Growled Gaomon.
"For her she will accept her fate." Answered the boy. He pushed her off the digimon.
"KARRRRIIIII!" Cried Gaomon.
"Well that wasn't very nice! Why did you do that!?" Asked Patamon, angrily.
"I'm sure find a way to stop herself." Answered the boy.
"NO! YOU FOOL YOU KNOW YOU SHE WON'T SURVIVE! GO GET HER! NOW!" Yelled Akira angrily, punching the boy, but instead he dodged it.
"I'm not your enemy. He is." Answered the boy, pointing at Flymon. "I'll leave the rest to you..." Said the boy, leaving with his digimon partner.
"Fine. What he said. I'll do it." He said. "For Kari."
"DOUBLE BACK HAND!" Said Gaomon, giving him one of his most hardest attacks.
But somehow he missed and was off the building.
"Oh no! Gaomon!" Cried Patamon. "Leona! You have to use the digivice!"
"But how!? I just got this!" Asked Leona, sounding panicky and confused.
"Say digievolution!" Answered Elecmon.
"It is your only chance!" Said BlackAgumon.
"Fine. I'll do it." All there of them answered.
"Elemental Power! Digievolution!"
Patamon digivolve to... Angemon!
BlackAgumon digivolve to... Dark Tyrannomon!
Elecmon digivolve to... Leomon!
"Wow! You changed!" Said Mikage, surprised.
"How was it even possible?" Asked Akira.
"It was because of you, Leona." Answered Angemon.
"Whaaaa?" Said Leona.
"Enough of the talk. Lets go save your friend!" Said DarkTyrannomon.
"YEAH!"
They went off the building, to save Kari and Gaomon.
"Kari's right ahead! We have to save her before its too late!" Said Gaomon.
She had passed out from the shock of falling and by the looks of it she looked pretty much done. Akira and Leomon managed to get close enough to Kari and grab hold of her hand.
"Akir...ra?" Said Kari, tired.
"Yeah. It's me." Answered Akira. "You have to use your digievolution!"
"But... How...?" Asked Kari.
"The digivice!" Answered Gaomon.
"Right!" Said Kari, emitting a fiery red aura.
"Element Fire! Digievolution!"
Gaomon digivolve to... Gaogamon!
Gaomon catched Kari and was going to attack the digimon.
"Kari! Your bracelet pearl! Insert it into the digivice!" Said Gaogamon. Kari obeyed and took the red pearl off and put into the digivice.
"I think you should do the same thing as well!" Said everyone's digimon partners.
They all took a pearl from their pockets and inserted it into their digivices. Bright lights came from it and their digimon released their attacks.
"Shockwave!" A large thunderbolt crashed onto Flymon. But in return it released poison gas and Akira and Leomon to land on the ground.
"Master! Are you ok!?" asked Leomon, sounding worried.
"Sorry Leomon... My body feels so weak and Tired..." Said Akira, stating the obvious.
"Oh no Akira!" Cried Mikage.
"Don't worry Mikage! I'll get him for you! Mourning Blade!" Said Dark Tyrannomon. But instead of that, Flymon was sneaky enough to dodge and hide behind Leona and Angemon which resulted in a pretty devastating attack, leaving both Leona and Angemon Injured.
"Leona!" Cried Mikage. He was then attacked by Flymon's Gryphon wing, slicing through Dark Tyrannomon and injuring both of them. Now only Kari was left.
Cliffhanger Cliffhanger! What will happen in episode 2? :o
Everyone is down, but Kari is left! She seems pretty clueless on what to do.
