B-rabbit28: Sooo...I know I said another chapter but I didn't specify what kind of chapter ha ha ah...I mean okay let me be honest here, the last chapter was way too short in my opinion and there wasn't a lot of story to go through, so...I thought I will make it up by making a extra chapter which will include some more characters from the series since not many of them have big roles in the series. After making the extra chapter with Nayu being with Crescent Moon, lets see how she will handle being with the harem guild of Elder Tale, West Wind Brigade. Literally if you all have seen the series the guild is literally a harem with the one guild master guy and the many female members. But don't worry, if you have watched season two you will come to respect them! Then Lets begin the extra chapter, this will take place before the trip to the ancient palace but after Touya and Minori join the guild. But the interactions Nayu will have with the members will be canon for the future story.

Extra Chapter: A day in the life with a harem guild?

At the Log Horizon guild, everyone was doing their own thing, Shiroe was doing the paperwork, Naotsugu was taking a break, and Akatsuki and Nayu were having a conversation in the lounge area. Nyanta was outside the guild gathering ingredients for their next meal, he decided to take the two new members Touya and Minori along with him to get to know them a bit better as well as teaching them things about the game that they had not known of before.

"Huh, I didn't know you knew a lot about animals, Akatsuki." Nayu said.

"Well I had to of course..." Akatsuki stated. "I had a dog name Myojo that I took care of so I had to know the correct ways to care for him."

"You had a dog!" Nayu's eyes brighten up. "What kind was he?"

"Well he was-" Akatsuki began.

The assassin was interrupted from their talk as they hear someone entering through the door.

"Hello~" The voice called out. "Is anyone here~?"

Shiroe, who was in his office, came out of his office to see kannagi player from West Wind Brigade. "Oh Nazuna, hello..."

"Nazuna?" Nayu turned to the guest. "You are the sub-guildmaster for West Wind Brigade right?"

"That is correct..." Nazuna stated. "I came here for a favor..."

"Is something wrong, Nazuna?" Naotsugu walked into the lounge.

"Nothing is wrong..." Nazuna stated. "But I am in need of one of your members Shiroe..."

"One of my members?" Shiroe asked confused. "Why do you need one of my members?"

"To be honest..." Nazuna began. "A few of our members are out right now questing away from Akihabara and we need someone to help defend our guildmaster."

"Soujiro?" Naotsugu asked. "Why does he need defending? Is he being target by a enemy guild or a PKer?"

"Of course not." Nazuna stated. "Our guildmaster would easily defeat them."

"Then why did you asked us to defend him?" Akatsuki asked.

"Our guildmaster is able to defeat those type of people..." Nazuna began. "But the people you'll be defending him from are...His fanclub..."

As she stated the answer, the whole room went silent as everyone around her looked at her with a sweat-drop running down their heads.

'R-Really...'

"You see, the members who left on the quest comprised two of the squads that would protect Soujiro from the fangirls outside of the guild..." Nazuna explained. "But, since they left, our manpower to protect him has lessen giving the fangirls a better chance of getting to him."

"Where does Log Horizon fit in this situation?" Shiroe asked.

Nazuna looked over with a grin on her face. "Well~ Since everyone in Log Horizon is super strong, one member can cover the two squads while they are gone."

"How long will the member be assisting for?" Nayu asked.

"Don't worry~" Nazuna said. "The two squads will be back by tonight, but we can not risk having the lack of defense during the day."

Everyone looked at each her before turning to each other.

"Group meeting!" Naotsugu exclaimed.

Not a second after, the four members of Log Horizon were in a group huddle a few feet away from the Fox Tail player as she stared at the group huddle.

"Master, what should we do about the situation?" Akatsuki turned to Shiroe.

"This is sudden..." Shiroe said. "But, the standard of the mission seems easy, protecting Soujiro..."

"But you remember Shiroe..." Naotsugu spoke up. "Soujiro's fanclub is SUPER HUGE! Imagine having to defend him from all those female players..."

Naotsugu and Shiroe had a thought bubble pop up where they were chibi and trying to defend Soujiro, only to get attacked by the female players of the fan club.

"That's...True..."Shiroe had a sweatdrop.

"In any other case..." Naotsugu turned to the other two members. "Our best bet is if one of you go..."

Akatsuki and Nayu turned to each other before turning back to Naotsugu. "No way."

"What!? Why..." Naotsugu looked at them surprised. "You two are female players, you would be able to defend him from other female players!"

"Naotsugu remember..." Nayu began. "Me and Akatsuki are both girls...Imagine the fanclub if a female member was staying near their precious Soujiro..."

Naotsugu imagined Akatsuki and Nayu near Soujiro when the fan club came up and had red demon eyes about to attack Nayu and Akatsuki.

"Then that's means no matter what situation we lose..." Naotsugu shrugged.

"If there are no reasonable solution..." Shiroe began. "Then, there is only one way to choose who to go with Nazuna..."

The remaining three looked to Shiroe hold their breath imagining the method Shiroe will use to choose the member.

"The Method we will use to choose the member is..." Shiroe began.

Everyone kept their eyes on him as he turned his body away from their line of vision.

When he turned around he has something in his hand. "We will be drawing straws to decide."

"FOR REAL!?" The three members exclaimed.

Nazuna, who was still in the room looked over at the sitation with a sweatmark. "Um...Everything okay?"

Back in the huddle, Shiroe was explaing the choosing method. "As you can see there are 4 straws in my hand, but only one is marked. If you choose the marked straw you will be the one who will go with Nazua and protect Soujiro..."

Everyone else swallowed as they stared at the straws like their lives depended on it. The three of them reached their hands out towards the straws as the all grabbed one each pulling it out of Shiroes hand. They all had their eyes closed during this moment so they did not see who had gotten the marked straw.

Shiroe, who saw it happen, pushed his glassed up as a glare covered his eyes. "The straws have chosen. The one who will go with Nazuna is..."

"Well~ I am so happy that you wanted to come and protect Soujiro~" Nazuna said as she was walking with the other person towards the West Wind Brigade guild hall.

She looked over at the female swashbuckler who had black lines going down over her head as her expression was dark. "I can't believe it..."

"To be honest~" Nazuna began. "I really wanted you to be the one to come with me..."

Nayu, hearing that, looked up at the Fox Tail women confused. "You wanted me? Why?"

"You are a interesting person~" Nazuna stated. "I don't know much about you, I know much about Naotsugu and Shiroe, and Akatsuki is basically a open book..."

"Oh right..." Nayu said. "You, Shiroe, Naotsugu, Soujiro, and Nyanta were all in the same party before right?"

"That is correct..." Nazuna began. "We five were a few of the members from the Debauchery Tea Party. Shiroe of course was the main tactician for our party while the rest of us were the fighters and healers of the group..."

Nayu took in what Nazuna said as a thought came into her head. "I wonder...Since you all were a part of the same party, why did you choose to follow Soujiro to his guild instead of Shiroes or Nyantas?"

"That is because he asked me..." Nazuna began. "Or to be exact, he asked everyone after the party was disbanded if they wanted to join a guild he was creating. Unfortunately everyone had already chosen their own paths to walk so they declined his offer. I wanted to stay by Soujiro's side as he creates this guild into what it has become now..."

Thinking about the wording Nazuna used, it made Nayu form a sweat mark down her head.

'The guild it has become...Is she aware that her guild is known to be one of the biggest female populated guilds with people knowing it for being a harem guild with the guild-master as the only male...'

"That is good though..." Nayu turned to Nazuna. "At least Soujiro has someone close to him to lean to if he in trouble..."

Nazuna smiled at Nayu as she said that. "Thank Nayu, that makes me feel like I am doing my job as sub guild-master correctly..."

"You are really amazing Nazuna..." Nayu said. "Are you like this in real life as well?"

"If you think being a dental assistant is amazing I will take that as a compliment." Nazuna said.

"No way! In real life you are a dental assistant!?" She said shocked. "Wow, I would have thought you would have been a model or something..."

"Ha Ha~ You flatter me Nayu..." Nazuna said. "I have heard that many times that I could be a model, but I feel that being a dental assistant is better for me~"

The rest of the walk was in silence, but it was a peaceful silence that the two enjoyed. A few minutes have passed until Nazuna stopped in front of a japanese styled building. "This is our guild hall..."

"Wow..." Nayu said. "To be honest...It fits you guys..."

The two walked in through the entrance to be great by the guild master himself. "Welcome back Nazuna."

"I am back Soujiro..." Nazuna step to the side so Nayu can been seen. "I came with a guest."

"Oh a guest?" Soujiro looked over at Nayu as he put a hand out. "You are a part of Shiroe's guild right?"

Nayu took Soujiros hand in hers as she gave him a small smile. "That's right. My name Nayu a Level 90 Swashbuckler. We have actually met a few times but I never got to properly introduce myself."

"That is right, we have not properly introduced ourselves other than the Crescent Moon event..." Soujiro said. "I am Soujiro a Level 90 Samurai and also the guild-master for West Wind Brigade."

The two shook their hand before letting go.

"What are you doing here anyway Nayu?" Soujiro asked. "Are you here to help Nazuna?"

Nayu, remembering the sole purpose of her visit, had dark lines running on top of her head. "W-Well you can say that..."

"Nayu is here because she wanted to get to know you better~" Nazuna put her hands on Nayu's shoulders. "She wanted to so badly talk with you~"

'What did the crazy fox tail lady day?! I did not agree to that!'

"W-What!?" Nayu was pushed towards Nazuna. "That's not the reason why-!"

"Well I have some business to do so have fun~" Nazuna said waving at the two as she walked off.

"Hey wait!" Nayu stretched her hand out towards her. "This was not something we agreed on!"

But the fox tail girl just left as Nayu looked at her only savior walk away leaving her with the guild master in front of their guild.

Soujiro, seeing the situation unfold in front of him, looked at the young girl confused. "Um...Did Nazuna do something wrong...?"

"I see..." Soujiro said. "So that is the situation..."

After Nazuna left the two, Soujiro offered the swashbuckler to come to his office where they are currently right now sitting in drinking some tea. Nayu, seeing as how she got stuck in this situation, explained the whole thing to Soujiro to clear things up.

"Basically, Nazuna wanted you to "protect" me from my fangirls..." Soujiro stated. "Is that right?"

Nayu nodded as he understood her explanation. "That is right! I was told to protect you as you are this guild's precious guild-master."

"Thank you for that but there is no worry." Soujiro said.

"No worry? Are you sure?" She asked. "Are you not worried that without your squads you'll be mobbed by the fans?"

"I do not want to rely on my guild members for things such as this..." Soujiro began. "I want them to go out and represent the guild as well as making sure that they are safe."

"Soujiro..." Nayu looked at him as he stared down at his tea with a smile.

"Well since you came this far..." Soujiro stood up. "How about I show you around our guild hall?"

Nayu stood up after him as he said that. "Might as well, your guild does look amazing from the inside."

The two exited the office as they walked through the hall.

"If I may ask you Nayu?" She turned to him. "How is it having Shiroe as your guild master?"

"Shiroe as my guild master?" She thought about it for a second before answering. "I would have to say he is reckless."

"R-Reckless..." Soujiro gave a sweatmark.

"Well not too reckless..." Nayu began. "But what I mean is that most of his strategies are well thought, but at the same time are very out of there. Like for example, the plan for us to sell the way to make the food with the top three crafting guilds, we were lucky they accepted the plan but that was risky because what if we did not pull it off."

"T-That is true..." He said. "But that is Shiroe for you, he would not let a plan go through unless he was very confident that it would succeed."

"Was he the same way when you guys were in the same party?" She asked.

"To be honest, he was a bit different when we were together..." He began. "He was more quiet and stayed to the back, only working by himself to come up with the tactics for our battles. But I think that ever since he met you all in Log Horizon, it really helped him open up."

The two of them were eventually outside where there was a cherry blossom tree in full bloom outside (TBH I don't know if this is cannon but i mean japanese theme guild hall must mean there is a cherry blossom tree somewhere nearby.)

"Your guild is very peaceful, Soujiro..." Nayu said.

"Well usually everyone would be yelling, but since most of our guild is out doing quest..." Soujiro explained.

She looked over at the guild master to see that he had a face of worry on him. She placed a hand on his shoulder making him turn to her. "Don't worry, your guild is strong, I doubt they will go down with a fight!"

Soujiro just stared at the girl before relaxing his face to show a content look. "Thank Nayu..."

"Actually on the topic of your guild..." Nayu started. "Are you aware your guild has the most female members in all of the guilds~?"

Hearing that made him sweatmark knowing the statement. "A-Ah that is right. We may only have 64 members in our guild, but they are super strong members who are able to fight for the reputation of the guild."

"Is it weird that your guild is called the harem guild?" She asked casually.

Hearing his guild called the harem guild felt like a arrow stabbing him in the back. "Irk! W-Well we don't think of our guild like that..."

"To be honest, if I may ask?" She started. "A lot of the female members in your guild are your fans if I remember correctly other than Nazuna, have you ever thought of dating even one of them?"

"W-What!?" Soujiro jump back surprised. "W-Why would you ask that?"

"Because, they have a crush on you and they fan over you..." Nayu turned to the cherry blossom tree. "Have you ever thought of dating them since they could have strong feelings for you in that way?"

Soujiro took in a breath before releasing it turning to Nayu. "To be honest, everyone in my guild is my family and it is my responsibility not just as a guild-master, but as a person to protect them. I have no feelings for anyone in my guild other than the feeling to protect them should something happen to them."

'He is really a good example of a gentleman just like Nyanta, why can't Naotsugu act like this~...'

"I-Is there anything else you would like to ask me?" Soujiro asked as Nayu was just staring at him.

"H-Huh?" She said snapping out of thought. "Oh actually I wondered about how you even got to join such famous party?"

"Ah that..." He stated. "Actually, me joining was a coincidence."

"A Accident..." She turned to him confused. "What do you mean by that..."

"When I first began Elder Tale I was playing with a friend that I knew in real life..." He explained. "But with all the events that was going on in the game, the two of us got separated until we went our own way. I was able to make a lot of new friends before meeting with the party. When I met the party, I was basically a tag a long member that was with them for most of the raids that they have done. Eventually, they scouted me to officially their party in which i accepted and became a member of since.

"So that was the story..." Nayu said. "So that would not have happened if you and your friend were not separated."

"N-Not like that, but I guess so..." Soujiro had a sweat mark on his head. "You know, you are really open with asking questions like that, I do not think I have met someone like you who can do that."

"You think so?" Nayu said.

"Yes, most of the girls in my guild would be very nervous asking questions like that or even not ask me at all..." He said. "But for you, you were very quick to not think about the question and to just ask."

"H-Ha ha ha..." She had a forehead sweat-mark as he said that while crouching in a sad corner. "S-Should I take that as a compliment..."

"Ahhh of course of course!" He shakes his hands in panic. "Not many people can speak out what they are thinking about like you! That is a good trait that many people should have!"

Soujiro was in panic as the girl was still showing gloomy lines above her head. He thought for a second before he resorted to a last cause, contacting Shiroe.

"Shiroe, are you there?" Soujiro placed his hand over his ear.

"Oh Soujiro, is something wrong?" Shiroe asked. "I hope Nayu has not done anything to bother you."

"N-No of course not, if anything I might have done something to offend her..." He said nervously.

"Hmm...?" Shiroe said confused. "That is very hard to do, but I am guessing she is in a corner?"

"Yes that is correct. "Soujiro turned to the girl. "I was thinking of ways to comfort her, but I don't know what she likes..."

"Master if I may..." Akatsuki said in the background. "If anything crepes are her favorite dessert."

"Crepes?" Soujiro asked.

"Ah that is right!" Shiroe exclaimed. "If I remember correctly, Serara from Crescent Moon has mention that her favorite dessert is crepes. There is a crepe shop in the main area you can take her to."

"I will try to do that, thank you Shiroe." Soujiro said.

As he ended the call, he could hear in the background Akatsuki complaining about how it was her idea.

"Nayu..." Said girl turned her head towards him. "Would you like to go get something with me?"

She just gave him a confused look before nodding to it.

"DELICIOUS!" Nayu exclaimed as she took a bite into her crepe.

After a short walk from the guild area, Nayu was happy to see that Soujiro had taken her to a crepe shop, but it was not just a normal shop, it was her favorite shop to visit when she wanted crepes.

"I am surprised that you know that my favorite dessert is crepes." Nayu turned to Soujiro who was also taking a bite into his own crepe.

"I actually did not know it was your favorite." Soujiro said. "I felt bad for hurting your feelings so I asked Shiroe how to make you feel better in which he said that crepes were your favorite."

"Huh~ That is surprising..." Nayu looked down at her crepe in her hand. "I also didn't tell him it was my favorite, actually not many know that crepes are my favorite."

"Then I am happy to be one of the few to know." He said. "So that way if you are down I can take you to get some crepes~"

Nayu looked over at Soujiro with a smile as she still held the crepe in her hand. "I will put that on you the next time I want crepes!"

As the two were talking, someone recognize Soujiro from the crowd and walked over to them. "Huh Soujiro what are you doing here?"

The two turned around to see a girl with middle-length brown hair wearing a armor and orange cloth around the next area.

"Oh Kyouka hello..." Soujiro said. "I was here with my friend Nayu, Nayu this is Kyouka, a member of my guild and the leader of the third squad."

Nayu moved forward to see Kyouka better but squinted at she looked at her. "Hmm..."

"I-Is something wrong?" Kyouka said confused.

Nayu stood up finishing her crepe as she walked to Kyouka looking at her up and down. "You look like someone I know in real life that goes to the same school as me...But that is impossible..."

"Did you go to (BLEEP) high school?" Kyouka asked.

Nayu nodded. "Yep, I did, in real life my name is Nanami Yukimura."

"Wait!? Nanami!" Kyouka got close to Nayu's face. "Are you maybe Nanami who is friends with Megumi?!"

"You know Megumi!?" Nayu's eyes sparkle as she heard a familiar name.

"Of course, we were classmates in real life~" Kyouka said. "She told me a lot about you but I am surprised to be meeting you like this~"

"Me too, wow~" Nayu put a hand to her cheek. "To think we went to the same high school but we barely met each other now!"

"Right right!" Kyouka exclaimed. "It is so good to meet someone from the real life that is related to me, especially a underclassman!"

As the two were talking, Soujiro was on the side still sitting down watching the whole conversation unfold in front to him. What he failed to notice was the group of girls who were crowding nearby. When he turned to the sound of whispered, he can see the crowd of girls talking and looking at him. He gave them a waved and that was a mistake, because the crowd of girls went crazy.

"KYAHHHHHHHHHHHH"

Kyouka and Nayu stopped their conversation and turned around to see the crowd of girls that formed behind them.

"W-When did this happen!?" Nayu exclaimed surprised.

Kyouka thought for a second before doing a quick scan of the area. "Wait! Where is Soujiro?!"

The two looked at each other before looking at the group of girls to see Soujiro in the middle of the crowd be complimented by the girls around him.

"This is bad, our dear Soujiro got caught by his fangirls!" Kyouka took out a whistle and blew into it. "This calls for the West Wind Brigade!"

Kyouka blew into the whistle and not a second past before there was a group of players circled around Soujiro blocking him from the fan girls.

"PROTECT SOUJIRO FROM THE FAN GIRLS"

"Don't worry Soujiro, we will protect you as guild-master of our guild." Isami, the level 90 samurai with red hair said pushing back some of the fan girls.

Chika, a level 90 swashbuckler with tomahawks in her hands was pushing back the fan girls on her side. "You will not get near our Soujiro~!"

'D-Did I just hear her say our Soujiro...The Harem guild has arrived...'

"Don't worry Soujiro, I will get you out of this." Dolce, a level 91 bard male with purple hair, grabbed Soujiro by his collar before throwing him over the crowd. "Fly over the crowd Soujiro!"

"Wahhhhh!" He screamed as he was thrown through the air towards Kyouka and Nayu.

From the way he was falling, he was heading straight for Nayu. All she did was stare at Soujiro falling until he actually fell on top of her.

"OW!" Nayu winced as she opened her eyes to see Soujiro on top of her.

'Seriously how many times must we be stuck in these types of situation!'

"Hurry and take him Nayu!" Kyouka exclaim taking out her shield. "I will push them back, take him back to the guild."

Nayu nodded as she took Soujiro's hand and pulled him to run away from the fan girls as he was still half conscious from the fall impact. The run back to the guild was very difficult as many fan girls would try to get in their way and Nayu would have to take short cuts to avoid them. Luckily with the help of the guild members, the two managed to get back to the guild hall without any of the fan girls coming in.

"Hah...Hah...Hah..." Nayu wad bending down hold her knees. "W-We finally made it back..."

"S-Sprry that y-you had to drag me back to the guild." Soujiro panted as he was also out of breath.

"No don't worry..." Nayu caught her breath. "Protecting you from your fan girls was my original task after all."

"I forgot that you were here for that reason." He said with a sweat-mark.

Nayu stood straight up before looking up at the setting sky. "It is getting late, do you know how much longer until the two squads will be back?"

"Actually they are already back..." He pointed out. "The girl with red hair and guy with purple hair are the ones in charge of the squads that were on the quest. When they came to protect us, that must have been the time when they have returned."

"That was fast!" She exclaimed. "Well that means I am done with my task for today then~"

Soujiro lead her to the exit as she said that. "Thank you for today, I was able to talk with you and become your friend."

"And not to mention..." Nayu began. "You got to hear questions about your guild~"

"O-Oh I forgot about that..." He had a sweat-mark on his head. "But I would like it if you were to come back again, you could meet everyone else in the guild and talk with them."

"I will take you up on that offer..." Nayu said. "Along with the crepe offer, we will be seeing each other a lot I am betting."

After that, Nayu waved at Soujiro as she walked backed towards her guild.

After waving Nayu off, Soujiro walked into his office to see Nazuna sitting inside sipping tea.

"How was it? Hanging out with that girl?" Nazuna asked.

Soujiro smiled as he took as seat in front of Nazuna taking a cup of tea for himself. "She was an interesting character. She is different from Isami and Chika..."

"That is what makes her unique." Nazuna said. "And I hope that you two bonded over this experience, do you think you two will be talking more after this?"

Soujiro gave another smile as he looked at his screen to the left of him to see a notice.

Nayu has accepted your friend request

"I am sure we will be talking more after today..." He took a sip from his tea. "She is too interesting for me to not hang out with her more."

Nazuna looked over to her right to see the exact same message appearing on her screen as well. "I will agree on that. We will not be seeing the last of her around here..."

Back at the Log Horizon guild, Nayu had just entered the guild to see everyone about to eat their dinner of curry.

"Oh Nayu!" Naotsugu said as she sat in front of him. "How did it go being with West Wind Brigade?"

WHAM

The answer he got was Nayu slamming her head into the table. Everyone around the table looked at the girl as she turned her head to the side.

"You have no idea how crazy Soujiro and that guild is."

B-rabbit28: Omg this chapter is by far super long! This whole chapter might as well be my longest chapter ranging to over 5000 words oof! I was on a mind grind, or in Jimmy Neutron's case, I had a brain blast situation where I had this whole idea and I let it all free. Sadly I wasn't able to fit it all into this page as it kind of got haywire~! I am so tempted to do a part 2 if you all want that as well because whatever I wasn't able to fit into this chapter I will put into a extra chapter part 2. But yea here is the next extra chapter I hope you all like it and the next chapter will be back onto the storyline so until the next update, bye guys and gals and non binary pals (THOMAS SANDERS FOR THE WIN!).
