"Venice!" The Doctor announced spreading his arms out wide as he exited the TARDIS to the cobbled streets of the Italian city. "Venezia! La Serenissima!" the Doctor cheered again now moving away from the TARDIS so they all could file out to see the magnificent city. One that was all too familiar to one.

"Insieme per la vittoria!" Katelyn cheered, pumping her fist into the air just as the protagonist Ezio Auditore da Firenze had once done at the beginning of her most cherished video game, Assassin's Creed 2. She found herself amazed by how well, the game she had once spent hours of her life playing, captured the very essence of the city so well.

"Quite the statement." The Doctor said to her with a pleased smile on his face, and turn back to the others. "The Impossible city. Preposterous city. Founded by refugees running from Attila the Hun. It was just a collection of little wooden huts in the middle of the marsh, but became one of the most powerful cities in the world." He explained to them as he led them through the marketplace they found themselves in. "Constantly being invaded, constantly flooding, constantly— "

"Surrounded by shit." Max interrupted as a woman dumped a foul-smelling bucket into the canal.

"Constantly beautiful." The Doctor corrected Max with a glare over his shoulder.

"Ah, you got to love Venice. So many people did. Byron, Napoleon, Casanova. Ooh, that reminds me." He halts for a minute checking his watch. "1580. That's all right. Casanova doesn't get born for a hundred and forty-five years. Don't want to run into him. I owe him a chicken."

"You owe Casanova a chicken?" Rory asked curiously.

"Long story. We had a bet." He hardly explains now picking up his strides to enter the city.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa." A man dressed in what looked like official attire stopped the Doctor. "Papers, if you please. Proof of residency, current bill of medical inspection." He listed off, his grip tightening on the book he held against his chest.

"There you go, fellow." The Doctor holds out the psychic paper, which the man snatches out of his hand. "All to your satisfaction, I think you'll find."

Katelyn watched as the man's face contorts from disbelief to shock as he read the paper. She was trying her best to repress a smirk as the man looks between the paper and the Doctor many times.

"I am so sorry, Your Holiness. I didn't realize." He apologizes bowing to the Doctor, who 'blesses' him in reply.

"No worries you were just doing your job. Sorry, but what is your job?" He asked eyeing the man curiously.

"Checking for aliens." Both Katelyn and Amy shared an amused look before the man clarified. "Visitors from foreign lands what might bring the plague with them."

"Oh that's nice. See where you bring me? The plague." Amy growled at the Doctor faking a punch towards him.

"Don't worry, Viscountess." The man said bowing to Amy. "No, we're under quarantine here. No one comes in, no one goes out, and all because of the grace and wisdom of our patron, Signora Rosanna Calvierri." The man shows the symbol etched into the book he was holding.

Max spoke up from the back of their little group. "Funny, because I heard the plague died out ages ago?"

"Not out there. No Signora Calvierri has seen it with her own eyes. Streets piled high with bodies she said."

"Did she now?" The Doctor asked, that something isn't right look written all over his face, but he then smirks and gives the man a hearty thump on the shoulder, before moving past him to enter the city.

"Ah, according to this I am your eunuch?" Rory asked Amy after grabbing the paper away from the man.

"Oh yeah, I'll explain that later." Amy then rushed after the Doctor.

"What did I get this time?" Max asked putting his arm over Rory's shoulder to get a look at the psychic paper. "Eunuch of Duchess Katelyn Keith, now that's just cruel. It is funny though that the Doctor would give you such a higher rating over ginger."

"It hardly matters, when he, of course, ranks himself the highest." Katelyn chuckles, before leading the three into the city.

They found the Doctor and Amy leaning on a railing as they watched women exit an iron gated building into a small plaza that was just across a long canal. The women were dressed in all white with thick veils covering their faces; but even with the veils, they held parasols above their head to block out the sun.

"Their dresses are so beautiful." Katelyn sighs leaning on the column next to the Doctor's railing. "Though I can't imagine the pain it must be to wear one of those in this heat."

"I'm sure in due time you won't have to imagine," Max said taking the other side of the column, watching as a dark skinned man ran towards the group of women.

"Where is my Isabella?!" He shouted and began to lift the veils of the women. "Isabella! Isabella!" He finds a woman that has the same dark complexion and hair. "Isabella it's me!" But as he made to hug the woman, another woman he had unveiled knocked him to the ground. She was hissing and baring her teeth at the man.

Katelyn, not believing what she had seen, looks to the Doctor for confirmation. He too seemed puzzled by the interaction and was backing away from the railing. Catching his hand, the Doctor finally looks her way. With a nod, a confirming squeeze on her hand as they silently leave the group, to talk to the man that was now being dragged away by the guards.

"Did you see that?" Amy asked the spot where The Doctor and Kate just were, only to growl in annoyance. "I hate it when they do that."

"Exactly what are you up to?" Katelyn asked the Doctor as they continued through the cobbled back alleyways. "This is supposed to be a romantic getaway for those two."

"Well it really isn't romantic if we tag along is it?" The Doctor argued, his eyes searching the crowd.

"Yes, but we did leave Max with them."

"I'm sure that's fine, he has a lot of training being a third wheel anyway." He scoffs.

"One would argue, you have the most training in it," Katelyn grins as he finally stopped searching the crowd long enough to pout at her words.

"Is he who you're looking for?" She asked nodding towards the man from the plaza, entering the alleyway ahead of them.

The Doctor seeing the man bolts towards him, barely missing the man and comes to a halt at the steps near the man.

"Who are those girls?" He asked the man.

"I thought everyone knew about the Calvierri school?" The man questioned eyeing the Doctor up and down warily.

"My first day here. It's okay." The Doctor explained hopping off the steps, before continuing. "Parents do all sorts of things to get their children into good schools. They move house, they change religion. So why are you trying to get her out?"

The man takes notice to Katelyn who had just joined them and was now standing at the Doctor's side.

"Something happens in there. Something magical, something evil. My own daughter didn't recognize me. And the girl who pushed me away, her face, like an animal." He explained, his gaze flickering towards Katelyn.

"I think it's time we met this Signora Calvierri." The Doctor stated steering the man around as he made to lead them back to the plaza.

"Did you not hear what I just said?" The man hissed struggling against the Doctor's grip. "How could you be so cruel to her?"

This made the Doctor halt as he turned the man to face him.

"Listen…I'm sorry I haven't caught your name yet?"

"Guido."

"Listen Guidio, I have no intentions to hand over my sweet Katie. Instead, I would rather help you reunite with your dear Isabella, but to do so— "

"We are going to need your help," Katelyn added quickly catching on to the Doctor's plan.

"If it is to get my Isabella back then I am willing to do anything." Guidio agreed.

With a quick pace set by the Doctor, Katelyn, and Guidio found themselves lead back to the plaza, where Doctor explained he only needed the man to distract the guards long enough for he and Katelyn to sneak inside. Guidio seemed uncertain of this plan seeing it really wasn't all that special, but with the hope of reuniting with his dear Isabella, he reluctantly agreed to the Doctor's plan.

"You have my daughter. Isabella!" Guidio shouts at the guards as he approached. He then began to try and force his way inside, having the guards distracted as they try to forcefully keep him away from the gate.

It was during that time the Doctor and Katelyn snuck through the side gated area and down a set of cobbled stairs. If it were not for the few sparse candles among the walls, the room would have been completely dark, not that it would matter as Katelyn still struggled to see past the Doctor's head as the descended further into this lair.

"Not exactly the fancy boarding school I was imagining for these girls." Katelyn spoke, putting words into the eerie silence. "I mean no plush carpet, painting of frolicking animals, nor the heavy scent of perfume."

"Have you ever seen a Girl's Home?" Amusement clear in the Doctor's voice.

"No, but I believe dark, underground dungeon only covers the Slytherin common room." She argued as they made it to the landing of staircase. The Doctor made a dramatic spin taking in the low ceiling room with three doors on to stop as he spotted something on the wall.

"Hello handsome." The Doctor says seeing his reflection in a mirror hung in front of the set of doors. He pulls a few faces as he examines himself in the mirror.

"Yes very attractive." Katelyn snorts as the Doctor bared his front teeth quite irregularly.

"But not nearly as attractive as the woman beside him." He said looking at Katelyn's reflection now.

"No, she looks ghostly pale and sickly." Katelyn said assessing her own reflection. "I mean look at those dark circles under her eyes. Not to mention the stolen clothes, the clear lack of hair, and you know what? I bet she has a horrible sense of humor."

"Oh yes, like she would constantly make terrible references to shows or books she likes." He agreed as they shared sly grin in the mirror between themselves.

"Who are you?" Voices asked from behind them making the couple jump in surprise as they had been sure they had been alone.

Standing behind them were five girls dressed in white night gowns, all looking equally pale and quite spooky really.

"How are you doing that?" The Doctor questioned as he made as show of looking between the mirror that held no reflection of the five girls and the living, breathing five girls staring at him.

"I am loving it!" He finally exclaims to the emotionless girls. "You're like Houdini, only five slightly scary girls, and he was shorter. Will be shorter. I'm rambling."

"I'll ask you again, signor and signora. Who are you?" All five asked at the same time.

"Why don't you check this out?" The Doctor said flourishing a billfold at the girls, only to have them stare at it blankly. This makes the Doctor turn the billfold around to them only to see a picture of a very old man staring back at them.

"Library card. Of course, it's with." The Doctor mimed a large nose on his face indicating he was talking about Rory. "I need a spare."

"Uh, Doctor creepy pale girls with no reflection, are you not thinking what I'm seeing." Katelyn points out to the time-lord.

"Yes but the city. Why shut down the city? Unless…"

"It's an all you can eat Italian buffet!" Katelyn squeaked as the girls now moved closer to them making them back towards the stairs.

"Leave now, or we shall call for the Steward. If you are lucky." They flashed their now needle like teeth at the couple.

"Tell me the whole plan!" The Doctor suddenly shouted but the girls just continued their approach. "One day that will work." He said over his shoulder to Katelyn.

"Stop talking to them and come on, stupid!" Katelyn finally having enough with the girls baring their teeth at them. She yanks the Doctor up the stairs after her and back out to the streets, where night has fallen. They didn't stop until they ran into three very familiar faces.

"Doctor!" Amy shouted pushing past Katelyn as she grabs ahold of the Doctor. They both began bouncing up and down excitedly as they both revealed what they had found in a short of gibberish speak.

"We think we saw a vampire." Rory tried to tell the Doctor as well.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah I know Amy was just telling me." The Doctor replied as if everyone could understand there excited babbling.

"Yeah, yeah, and the Doctor just went into their house." Amy added leaving out one detail, Katelyn.

"Oh, right." Rory agreed meekly, as Amy and the Doctor finally stopped bouncing together.

"Alright first things first, we need to find a way back in." The Doctor announced to them.

"What!" Katelyn and Rory squeaked in unison.

"How are we going to do that?" Amy asked giddily.

"We are going back?" Katelyn asked her attitude nowhere on the scale of giddiness.

"Come and meet our new friend." The Doctor said grabbing both Katelyn's and Amy's hand and pulling them along the cobbled streets.

"So much for the Romantic getaway." Max said to Rory as they followed.

It was clear that poor Guido had not been expecting the five time travelers at his door in the middle of the night, but with some quick charming by the Doctor the man was quick to let them into his small home. Even producing a few drinks and some bread for them as they began to look over a schematic of the city.

"As you saw, there's no clear way in. The House of Calvierri is like a fortress." Guidio explains pointing to the respective spots on the map. "But there's a tunnel underneath it, with a ladder and shaft that leads up into the house. I tried to get in once myself, but I hit a trapdoor."

"You need someone on the inside." Amy concluded.

"No." The Doctor quickly disagreed.

"You don't even know what I was going to say." She whined.

"That we pretend you're an applicant for the school to get you inside, and tonight you come down and open the trapdoor to let us in." Max clarified from the corner of the room.

"You only know that because of your 'sight'." Amy protested.

"Hun, I didn't need my sight to see that horrible idea turning gears in your head. Wanting to join camp Twilight." He scoffs earing a glare from the ginger.

"Are you insane?" Rory asked his fiancée looking between her and Max.

"We don't really have another option." She contested.

"He already said no, Amy, listen to him."

"There is another option." Guido interrupts the couple, and points towards the barrels Rory was sitting amongst. "I work at the arsenal. We build the warships for the navy."

"Gunpowder!" The Doctor exclaims after moving over and taking a whiff of the barrels. "Most people just nick stationery from where they work."

"And you have an open flame in your house how smart of you." Katelyn sassed, waving Rory over to sit beside her at the table away from the explosive barrels.

"Look, I have a thing about guns and huge quantities of explosive." The Doctor continued speaking to Guido.

"What do you suggest, then? We wait until they turn her into an animal?!" Guido hissed at the Doctor.

"I would be in there three, four hours, tops?" Amy estimated.

"No, no, no, no! It can't keep happening like this." The Doctor exclaimed after a pause.

"Well then I'll go instead." Katelyn volunteered.

"Absolutely not, Amy will go, I'll pretend to be her father." The Doctor said taking a seat near the window.

"Hold on just a moment." Rory tried to interrupt.

"That's not going to work, you hardly look twenty." Max scoffed.

"Brother then?"

"Too weird, fiancé should do." Amy interjected.

"I'm not having him run around telling people he's your fiancé." Rory bickered. "Let alone having you go into this fortress alone."

"She won't, I'm going as well." Katelyn agreed.

"NO!" Both the Doctor and Max shouted in unison, making the three and Guido reel back in surprise.

Clearing his throat Max was the first to explain his outburst. "This woman, Signora Calvierri, she is picking beautiful, healthy women, and frankly Kate she ain't gonna give you a second glance."

"Max, how can you say that." Rory snapped at him.

"Look at her, her hair is shorter than yours, and look at her skin I bet she could pass for one of the girls now with that pale skin, and don't even get—"

"Enough!" The Doctor shouts silencing Max, who surprisingly looked to be holding back a smirk.

"Either way this doesn't matter, they seen both her and the Doctor." Amy said, turning to Rory. "You should do it?"

"Me?" Rory looks surprised by this change of plans.

"Yeah, you can be my brother."

"Why is him being your brother weird, but with me, it's okay?" Rory whined now.

"Actually, I thought you were her fiancé." He points to the Doctor and Amy. "And that she was your fiancée." He gestures to Katelyn now as if there was another woman in the room.

"Yeah, that's not helping." The Doctor sighed letting his shoulders slump.

"Helping or not, Amy is still going into the place alone. Which I can't really let happen." Katelyn protested. "I mean if we just get some makeup and a wig I think I can pull off a three to four-hour rouse, on some vampire queen."

"You won't have to." The Doctor said but his eyes were trained on Max. "Guido do you have any clothes for use to borrow, two dresses to be precise, one a little board in the shoulders."

"And she wonders why we always fight." Max gritted out through a toothy joker-like grin.

Okay so I'm back again, could use excuses like the new fulltime job, the constant struggle with choosing between writing a new chapter or doing something say Overwatch or a new Kdrama… Don't even get me started on how that's ruining my free time. But no instead I'm gonna try to write more again and hopefully the next chapters to 100 show the actual story I've been meaning to progress. Also I have decided to do this like many others and reply to you reviews publicly at the bottom of each chapter from now on. So let's get started.

AkatsukiShizu3: First off no your Epic for continuing to read my story! And as for the ninth Doctor on Downing Street, I do believe Kate has an obligation to appear there once again, but unfortunately way later in her storyline. As for the Wedding of River Song yes Kate will appear in that, and do not doubt that River will be married, it will be a heart wrenching episode for me to write but it will be done. Thank you again and I will try my best to KBO, for Churchill's sake.

NicoleR85: Your constant support for me and others writers, keeps me going, I love you from the bottom of my heart and appreciate every Please Update soon.

bored411: You and your sexy David Tennant icon. *sighs shaking fist* I thank you for your reviews and will say I hope Kate is contributing enough, and as of right now I don't think the new scar will be seen for a while. But you can bet your sexy icon the Doctor will spaz out.

Booklover0608: Thank you so much for the review, and it's fine not to know much of Classic Who since. I'm having to do A LOT of research not to screw it up. I even try to give them a modern twist hoping it will help those who haven't watch the episodes, like making the cardboard robot sound like it's an actual death machine… But don't worry if there any question you know always to ask me.

moonlightprincess99:Yes squeal! Squeal like never before!

To answer both your reviews. I can promise there will be more Classic Who sprinkled in to the mix when needed, maybe even an 8th doctor as I have some very interesting novels Kate could pop in.

As for Max's relationship, well we know he's married to Donna after last chapter, but if you notice something sprinkled out the story. Max is seen with two wedding bands a black one and a gold one… and we know he bouncing all over time worse than Kate with his put together vortex manipulator, so really there is no telling what may be the order of his relationships… ;)

Zerousy: Off to the the city of love, and eventual romance… You know I try but Max is so bitchy without his ladies.

NaiOokamiSohma: I know I'm sorry for the previous cliffhanger, but look more sass!

grapejuice101: Thank you for your love hun!

Sarcasmsqueen: First off love the name, and second love you. You managed to read this more than once through all the typos, hold on while I give you a standing ovation. Also me top three, you better have Dannifielding's Time Child as number one if I'm top three, because she inspired me to write. As for unfinished, oh boy is it I've got so many plot bunnies that I have to catch to make this story complete though I will have to say this story may end after twelve. So you hear it here first, Saving Keith may end at where it began the twelfth doctor.

Guest: Thank you for reading, and look I'm alive! I actually have been in remission for a year know and been struggling with a shitty fulltime retail job, even though I'm finished with college… So yeah I'm living. (And yes F cancer write in the butt)

casper6six6: A big thumbs up to you as well friend for reviewing!

wintercat18: I regret nothing muwhahahaahaha, no but seriously I didn't want to leave it there, I would have continued if I had known it wouldn't have been too long.

BamYurrDead: Maddie Senpai noticed me! This person right here is my friend and confidant folks she checks over the story to see if it is going to smoothly and to keep on track before it gets to wild. Also if you like Phantom of the Opera she has her own story she writes, so check it out!

SherlockFanFictionLover: First off I thank you for the fifty chapter you did read before quitting. I am sorry this story wasn't your cup of tea and I hope you enjoy the other Oc X character stories you read. I apologize that you do not see Max and Renegade for what they are to the story and hope you will understand killing a character because you find them pointless to the plot is not a writing method I approve of. I understand my writing is not great and I have many issues writing, but again I never claimed to be the bee's knees that everyone must read. So please enjoy the other stories you hold so dear and if you one day decide to come back to my story, know that I welcome you with open arms.
