Mamoru stared in shock for a moment before the emotion was hidden. "The council allowed such a young Lord to rule over two territories?"

"Hn. They were given no choice. They could allow this Sesshomaru to rule or die. They chose life. Those fools are no match for one such as I." Sesshomaru responded. He disliked explaining his self to any one. For Kagome alone would he make an exception seeing as Mamoru was her father.

"You are indeed Toga's son. Same arrogance but with the strength to back up your threat. In your family's case, your bite is worse than your bark. Growl as it may be as I can not see You barking like a common hound." Mamoru remarked with a smirk. Sesshomaru remained blank faced. Indeed, he was not one to bark. If he growled, your life was forfeit.

"Dad, are you going to come back to the feudal era? Sesshomaru has everything set for you to take over again." Kagome inserted herself back into the conversation at that point.

"I will not be returning to that era. My life is here with my mate, son, and father. Kagome, you have your own destiny to fulfill. Should you end up stuck in the feudal era, You will have to wait 500 years to see us again while for us it be as though you had only just left. If you are drawn back to this time, then Sesshomaru, You will have to wait 500 years to see Kagome again."

"Hn." Sesshomaru made a small noise of discontent at that. He was becoming quite attached to the young Miko-Inuyoukai at his side. He would be making her his soon. He and his beast were in agreement for once on something.

Kagome nodded her head in understanding. She let the comment that had been directed at Sesshomaru slide for a moment as she thought. When she got back to the feudal era she had a lot to do. She had to find the rest of the shards and kill Naraku. After that, it would depend on which timeline she was in.

Sesshomaru looked over at the quiet girl before holding back a sigh. It was obvious that she was going to ignore that comment about him waiting to see her again. His beast growled in irritation and the sound trickled quietly from his lips. Kagome looked up at the sound and found her eyes locked with a pair of gold, the irritation clear within them.

"Oh, sorry. Are you ready to get back? I'm sure Rin misses you." Kagome spoke, a slight blush covering her cheeks as she broke the contact. Sesshomaru refrained from sighing once more and stood. Kagome stood as well and bowed to her family. "I guess we'll be leaving then. Mom, Dad, I'll see you again." She left the house with Sesshomaru following her. Kagome went into the well house and was preparing to leap over when a muscular, stripped arm wrapped around her waist.

"Sesshomaru?" Kagome said questioningly, looking up at the male in question. He ignored her look, instead jumping into the well, keeping her pinned to his side.
