To say that Alec is nervous is understatement.

He's terrified as he isn't that adept on making an appearance in front of other people, he has an issue with his stage fright.

"Take it easy Allie, you'll be fine~!" His team mate, Rosie, assured him. Alec fixed his glasses nervously.

"I-I'm not used to this. I feel like I'm going to screw everything over and people will laugh at me because I'm pathetic and my siblings will disown me because I shamed our family name." he said, wringing his wrist viciously. "I can't do this, I seriously can't. I rather get chased by Phantoms and get blighted rather than doing this."

Rosie slapped him lightly on the back of his head. "Silly waifuu. We're not in Noragami Allie. And wow, what a pessimistic thought, that won't happen. Seriously, you're just paranoid." She said seriously.

"Can I just pretend that I'm sick and skip this whole thing? It's not like I'm important or anything…" Alec said, trying to get out of the situation.

This is the day wherein the swim club is officially to be announced and introduce to the whole student body, in hopes of gathering students to join the club and hopefully, they get the good ones.

"Oh man up will you? You're awesome okay? Like Haru-chan!" Rosie encouraged him. Alec shrugged.

"I dunno, Haru's usually poker face and I'm certainly cannot do that! I feel like I'm gonna die!" Alec said, looking at his sneakers that are, thankfully, not worn out.

Jonathan came in, along with Jinx, and laughed on how much a nervous wreck the raven haired man is.

"Dude, relax, this stuff won't kill you and you wouldn't mess this up. If you don't relax, I'll spread rumors that you like your sister romantically." He threathened, evil grin on his face. Alec looked horrified.

"What the-?! That's gross!" He said, making a face. Rosie grinned.

"It's better if it's BL incest with hot steamy make out session then bedroom actions later." Roise wiggled her eyebrows suggestively. Both boys distance themselves from her as she started grinning like a maniac and said creepy things like 'BL fanservice' , 'BDSM Yaoi' and stuff like that.

"You guys," Jinx said, shaking her head, "what's this? Yaoi chatroom? I didn't know both of you are closet fundashi, that's pretty hot." She teased. Jonathan snorted.

"As if. I don't like 'em. Besides, I'm homophobic Jinx, and I almost bash every gay and lesbian out there. Exception to the rules is our little virgin here." He said, looking at Alec who looked shocked.

"Bull's eye." Jonathan said triumphantly. Before Alec could ask, Jonathan answered. " I knew because you wouldn't want to shower with me and you're always the last to use the shower room, even if there's a lot of space."

"You guys showered together together?! KKYYYYAAAAAAAA~! Why didn't you invite me?! BL steamy scenes! I feel like I'm going to nosebleed." Rosie said, fawning over the thought. The others looked at her weirdly.

"… Get away from me, you crazy woman. And you're really perverted for a girl. I know you're damn straight but seriously, I'm going to bash you if you don't stop." Jonathan said, glaring daggers at her. Rosie dismissed it with her hand and promised not to do it again.

"So, you guys ready?" Jinx asked.

Jonathan and Rosie said yes while Alec said no. Jinx smiled at him and patted his shoulder.

"Don't worry Alec, you'll be fine I'm sure." She said encouragingly as they made their way towards the stage.

"And now, one of the reason we have an assembly today is because of our new club, Alicante Idris Swimming Club!" Catarina said over the microphone, the students were a bit excited. "I, the Student Council President, had formed this club to bring out more talented and aspiring swimmers and to be able to hopefully compete to various of swimming tournaments. Now these talented individuals had been so kind to be the founding members of our newly formed swimming club. Without further ado, ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, the members of Alicante Idris Swimming Club!"

A round of applause were heard as the members came up to the stage and whispers and eager murmurs can be heard throughout the gym upon seeing Jonathan Morgenstern, part of the basketball team and Jace's team mate.

"Let me introduce to you first, our Team Captain, Jonathan Christopher Morgenstern!"Catarina introduced. A round of applause were heard and 'Jonathan we love you'! were screamed by his fangirls. He smirked as he stepped forward as his name was called. "He specializes in Breaststroke and tumble turns." She added.

"Next is Rosalie Gabriel Monteclaire who specializes in Butterfly and open turns. " Catarina introduced the bubbly junior as she smiled at them happily , stepping forward when her name is called. "Next is Janie Maxwell, who specializes in Backstroke and Drown proofing." Jinx stepped forward and bowed as her name was called. "Next is Alexander Gideon Lightwood who specializes in Freestyle and Water Treading." Alec hesitantly stepped forward as his name is called. Excited whispers and murmurs were heard once more.

"Lightwood?! Is he related to Jace and Isabelle Lightwood?!"

"He looks like a bit of Isabelle Lightwood… OMG! Are they siblings?! Do you think they are related?"

"There's a third Lightwood?!"

"Ahem. May I have your full attention please?" Catarina said and the noise came to abrupt halt. "Thank you. Now, we will show you a short promotional video, I hope you will all like it." Catarina said as video was flashed on the projection screen.

Jonathan's face was displayed in the screen, wearing his swimwear and wet. He was grinning as he face the camera.

[Why must you join it? It's because it's fun and beneficial. Not only you're helping your body exercise, it also increases your lung capacity to stay in water in longer periods of time! Also, when time calls for it, you'll be able to survive! So join the swim club and I'll see you there!]

After the speech, various of strokes were presented, from breast to free and members doing tumble turns, open turns, water treading, drown proofing and technical diving. When the video ended, everyone was clapping and others were cat calling, much to Catarina's annoyance.

"Now that you have seen the video, let us have a closing remarks from Alexander Lightwood."

Alec felt like he's going to die. "M-Me…?" He nervously adjusted is glasses and clutched his black pants tightly. Catarina nodded and he went towards her, looking at her as if she murdered his family.

"You'll be fine Alec, you can do this." Catarina whispered to him encouragingly.

Taking a deep breath before speaking to the microphone, he pats himself at the back. "Hi guys, you probably didn't know me until today, as I am not really that of a social butterfly like my siblings are, and sport isn't really my forte. However, I fell in love in Swimming because it isn't your typical Lacrosse or Basketball. Swimming is actually relaxing for me because it soothes my whole body just being underwater. It's fun learning a sport that can ultimately save your life later on and it can save others if you really know what a drowning person looks like. So I recommend you to join our newly formed club and hopefully, We'll see you there." With a smile, he ended his speech. When he saw that the crowd said nothing, his anxiety kicks in, thinking that what he said was completely and utterly wrong and he messed up. Hiding his disappointment, he went back to his place.

"Good work! Yato-sama!" Rosie teased, winking.

"Thankyou Alexander Lightwood for that wonderful speech. And this concludes our assembly for this morning. Have a pleasant day everyone."

Alec did not expect this.

Nope. Not at all.

By the time he entered his classroom, the noise and chattering stopped and they were staring at him. In a creepy-ish way. Alec ignored them as he went to the very back of the classroom , his mood not that good.

'Damn, the next time I have to do this, I won't. Great, now people think I'm a freak now."He thought to himself bitterly.

Alec's bad mood visibly dropped as he saw people staring at him once more in the hallway. Why in good heavens would they stare at him as if he did something wrong? Was his first ever speech in front of other people that bad that they have to stare at him that much?! Sighing in irritation, he quickened his pace and decided to just eat inside the male's bathroom, annoyed at the treatment he's getting.

'This day's the worse.'

After he got home, his siblings bombarded him with tons of questions and dramatic accusation as why he didn't tell them. He told them it was a surprise and it's Catarina's idea. Stubborn people they are, Jace and Isabelle didn't buy it. Alec rubbed his temples, feeling that headache is coming.

'I really hate this day...'

TIME SKIP TO SATURDAY

Nothing much significant happened after the whole speech thingy. People just tend to recognize him now , because he's a Lightwood and related to Jace and Isabelle. Not that he's happy about being recognized by almost the entire student body but, it's just annoying on how they keep on interrupting him and he can't tell them off because it's rude so he has to endure it. Now he can't even walk through the halls without being swarmed by people. It's starting to piss him off. That's why he's very happy when school's out, he'll get the peace that he wanted and deserved.

Getting out of the bathroom, a towel wrapped around his waist, he feels like he's forgetting something. He checked his phone calendar and his eyes widened when he saw his schedule.

'Holy crap I have a date with Magnus today! What should I wear?! What should I do?! I have no idea on how to do this! It's not like this is a dating game wherein your choices are on the tip of your finger tips!'

Panicking, Alec ruffled his wet hair and jumped on his bed.

"I'm so screwed... I'm acting out of character because I don't know what do you do on dates. This isn't Japanese anime and I'm not a love sick high school girl." Alec groaned, stuffing his face with a pillow. Then he sat up all of a sudden, like remembering something.

"Clary must know something about this!" He exclaimed, getting his phone and typing rapidly. After sending the email to her, he opened his closet and took a pair of black trousers and plain white shirt.

"You know Alec, I pity you for not having any decent clothes." Clary began, looking at his closet with a distaste. "Don't you ever shop for your clothes? Or all of these are hand me downs from Robert?"

"Hey, I bought them during sale, they're cheap and comfortable. Don't mock them." Alec said in defense. "And no, dad doesn't let me have his hand me downs, just giving me money to buy my own. It'll cheaper if he just give it to me though."

Clary looked at him with pity in her eyes. "You're... I pity you Alec. You have all those good qualities but you fail to inherit fashion sense from your siblings. I pity you really." She said, getting a pair of black pants, plain grey polo shirt and a pair of decent looking black converse shoes.

"I don't need fashion sense, I just need comfy clothes and I'm not complaining. I don't want to look like I'm trying hard." Alec said. Clary rolled her eyes and gave the out she had chosen.

"Here, don't blame me if Magnus asked you my you're wearing such gloomy clothes. Those are the only things that are close to decent in your closet." She said, crossing her arms. "Go and change, you still owe me that Shingeki no Kyojin volume 11 manga, plus the nendroid of Mikasa."

Alec smiled a bit. "Thanks, you're a life saver." He said before going to the bathroom to change.

'I wonder if Alec forgot...' Magnus mused as he sat on the bench of the amusement park near the cotton candy stand. 'Afterall, this week had been pretty hectic for him...'

Magnus knew how horrid Alec's day was. After that shocking announcement, which Catarina didn't even tell them, people are starting to pay attention to the oldest Lightwood, saying on how he looks like Isabelle and dubbed as "Isabelle's fraternal older twin" or something like that. Others knew Alec's superior intelligence and how he excels in his class. Magnus isn't surprised at the sudden attention, just feeling sorry for him.

"I'm so sorry I'm late!" A voice snapped him out of his train of thoughts and Magnuis immediately smiled at him.

"It's fine, I also just got here actually." Lies. He got there 2 hours earlier than the designated time because he might have been a bit excited. Also, he doesn't want to guilt trip Alec, seeing he is already guilty of being late.

"So, um, what are we going to do today?" Alec asked, feeling nervous.

"We can go stroll around the amusement park, I think you'll like it." Magnus replied, smiling. "Let's go?"

Alec nodded and adjusted his glasses. "Y-yeah." He replied, smiling faintly.

"Then let's go!" Magnus said enthusiastically as he lead Alec to the rides.
