A/N This is me testing the waters for this story, if it does good enough I'll continue it, if it doesn't oh well.

Prologue: Look out below!

Richard Parker's eyes scanned the surrounding area once more in hopes of catching sight of something that wasn't a tree, but giving his location in Japan's famed Aokigahara (Sea of trees) he found himself disappointed once more. Five days ago, after receiving a call from his partner, Eddie Brock Sr. about a special organism recently discovered in Japan that could help further their invaluable research, Richard wasted no time in securing himself plane ticket to the land of the rising sun much to the annoyance of his brother and sister-in-law.

Richard had no illusions as to why the Ben and May were upset with his impromptu trip. Two months ago his wife, Mary Parker, gave birth to their son, Peter Parker. What should have easily been one of the most joyous days of his and wife's life turned to one of tragedy with a few heavy words from a doctor. Peter was born stillborn, taking from this world before he even had a chance to draw a single breath. To this day Mary would still walk around their home with tears still in her eyes.

While his wife grieved their son's death with tears, Richard threw himself into his work, much to the anger of his family. But what they didn't understand was that his research was going to ensure that no one went through the pain he and his wife endured; the 'Suit' he and Eddie are currently developing was going to be the first strike in ridding this world of sickness.

"God damn it, Eddie you better be right about this." Richard said adjusting his coat; this forest wasn't just known for its abundance of trees but the harsh winds that came blowing through. Pressing forward with his hunt, the biochemist continued with his search from the small life forms that could help forward human progress, but during his navigation of the vast trees Richard was unaware of a small open in the earth.

"Arrrgah!" Richard yelled in surprise as the ground swallowed him whole, but before Richard could began panicking about his situation he hit the ground. "I-I-I thought I was dead…" The scientist said breathing hard from shock, but as he rose from the dirt, he suddenly felt a breeze of wind. "What the…?" How can he possibly feel the wind if he was currently underground, taking a travel sized flashlight out of his pocket the man pointed the beam of light at the walls to reveal a cavern. "What in the hell?"

Being the man of science he is, Richard walked cautiously through the cave. It would be five minutes of walking before Richard's impromptu denture bore some fruit. The highly esteemed scientist was shocked to find a redheaded woman and blonde man both covered in blood and holding a small blonde child with what looked like whiskers on his cheeks, but the strangest thing was the three seemed to be frozen in time. "What in the world," Richard's next step triggered some invisible switch that made the room glow with archaic words.

Once the glow subsided the sounds of a child's cry filled the cave, so many thoughts ran through Richard's mind as he tried to figure out what the hell was going on. But his thinking was cut off as he heard the woman speak.

"G-g-gomen nasai," The she struggled to say as blood spilled from her mouth. "Onegaishimasu Ukeru Naruto-chan e azen. (Please get Naruto to safety.)" After saying her piece, Richard watched as the life faded from her eyes.

Moving towards the three, Richard's took the still crying child from the arms of the woman. With hopes that something could be done for the woman Richard placed his index finger on her wrist in hopes to find a pulse. Getting no response from the woman, he tried to see if the blonde-haired man survived, but sadly, the results were the same, not a sign of life.

After lowering his head in respect for the dying couple, Richard turned his attention to the blonde child in his arms. "Why hello there, Naruto was it?" After hearing Richard's calming voice the child stopped it's crying and looked at the man with his bright blue eyes, but just as Richard thought nothing could surprise him even more the baby's blue eyes suddenly shifted into glowing red eyes with slit pupils, but the change didn't last long as the child's eyes changed back blue. Ignoring his curiosity in the phenomenon, Richard slowly rocked the boy. "I don't know how you and your parents got here but it seems that your mother entrusted me, a total stranger with you." Cradling the boy in his arms Richard rose up from his crouched position. "Well let's get you some clothes Naruto Parker."

-Six years later-

"But I don't want you to leave!" Cried a blond child as he watched his parents prepare to leave for a flight with tears streaming down his whisker marked cheeks. "Why can't I just go with you!?"

Mary Parker looked down at the boy she thought of as her own son and struggled to keep herself from crying along with him, opening her arms wide, the visibly distraught mother barely managed to stay on her feet as her beloved son barreled into her. "I'm so sorry, my little sunshine," She said with her voice cracking at each word. "But me and your father have some very important business that both of us have to address. If we could take you with us, trust me honey, we would." Her explanation did very little in calming the upset child. "But don't worry your Aunt May and Uncle Ben will take good care of you."

Helping his wife calm their distraught son, Richard join the two in their hug and begun singing the lyrics of his favorite song. "Like the pine trees lining the winding the road, I got a name, I got name. Like the singing birds and croaking toads, I got a name, I got a name..."

Soon Naruto joined his father. "And I carry with me like my daddy did, but I'm living the dream that he kept hid."

Richard and Mary soon meet each other's eyes with smiles on their faces, Jim Croce never failed when it came to calming their son. "Don't worry Naruto, me and your mother won't be long, just be a good boy for your aunt and uncle."

Looking up at his parents, Naruto used the sleeve of his Power Ranger Themed tee-shirt to wipe his face clean of tears before walking to his extended family members. "O-o-okay, I'll be good." Not that he would have behaved any other way; he loved his aunt and uncle.

Taking the boy's small hand into his own, Benjamin Parker smiled down at the kid who brought his brother and sister-in-law out of their depression. Blood or no blood, both Ben and May unashamedly counted little Naruto as their nephew. In fact if it wasn't for the fact the boy looked nothing like Richard or Mary one would find it hard to believe the boy was not a natural born Parker, he fit into their little family so well.

"Don't worry Naruto we'll have loads of fun. With me and your aunt the days will fly by." Ben said to small boy.

All Naruto could do was wipe his tears and return his uncle's smile.

-Eight years later-

"Mr. Parker wake up!"

A pair of baby blue eyes lazily opened at the sound of a teacher's extremely annoying voice. "Thanks for waking me up, Ms. Davis; I was having a very upsetting dream." The newly awoken teen said while scratching the whisker-like marks that graced his cheeks.

Favoring the spiky haired youth with a stern glare the young teacher spoke in her no nonsense voice to show that she wasn't playing around. "While I know this class may be easy to you, Mr. Parker, it doesn't mean you can just sleep though it whenever you want!" She said, admonishing her brightest student. "You're lucky you're one of the good ones otherwise I'd have to consider cutting you out of tomorrow's field trip."

Naruto cringed under the weight of threat, missing a chance to get a personal look at an honest-to-God, top notch laboratory like the one that was based within Osborn industry was a non-option. He couldn't count the number of times he tried and failed to get Harry to pull a few strings and score him a tour of the well appraised lab.

"Understood, Ms. Davis." The blond Parker said before putting together his brightest smile.

"Good," The science teacher said before dragging her eyes away from her top student and onto the rest of the class. "Class dismissed." On her word students began to leave the classroom in droves, most of them were chatting about their after school plans.

Still thinking about his dream, Naruto absentmindedly lifted himself up from his seat and slung his orange backpack over his shoulder with intent to leave class with the rest of his fellow students. However, before the whisker marked teen could take a single step forward he felt a small nudge on his shoulder. Turning to see who was responsible for putting an immediate halt to his progression, blue meet green as Naruto realized it was his best friend who was attempting to grab his attention.

"Oh, what's up MJ?" Naruto lazily asked his childhood friend. Mary Jane Watson or MJ for short. For years the two shared a strong friendship that many speculated would one day turn into a marriage, much to the duo's annoyance.

After brushing a lone strain of red hair out of her line of sight MJ soon found herself question Naruto about his weird behavior. "Are you okay Naruto? You look a little out of it."

Rubbing the back of his head sheepishly, Naruto gained a bittersweet smile as he explained why he seemed off. "Eh, it's nothing really, I was just thinking about the last time I saw my mom and dad."

Hearing that, Mary Jane gained a disapproving look on her face and began poking Naruto in the chest. "You really shouldn't think of such sad things, Naruto Parker." MJ said to her best friend. "You know your mom and dad wouldn't want you dwelling on the past." Though she knew Naruto wasn't really the sulking type there were always a few rare occasions when her buddy would go into auto-pilot mode when he's thinking of his mom and dad.

Favoring the girl with one of his well know foxy grins, Naruto quickly reverted to his normal upbeat personality. "Don't worry about me, MJ; I haven't gone emo just yet. I'm saving my black hair dye and fingernail polish for when Megan Fox refuses my prom invention." That earned him a punch to the arm.

"Well isn't that cute," On instinct, both Naruto and Mary Jane visibly cringed at the sound of the person they both deemed to be the most annoying person ever, Eugene Flash Thompson. Flash was the guy that existed at just about every school in the world, the guy who loved to hear the sound of his own voice, and because he was so fond of his own jokes he often targeted Naruto because of his odd whisker marks. Although Flash fancied himself Midtown High's funniest and toughest jock he never made a single attempt at physically bullying Naruto, he saved that honor for the punier students.

While Naruto never really made any attempts to work out or pursue any after school sports he always strangely was physically fit despite his laid back life style. Liz always commented that he had the body of track star and tried on multiple occasions to get him to show off his muscles, much to MJ's secret annoyance.

"Check it out, Kong," Flash's lackey Kenny Kong, a husky, bald teen who seemed love to encourage Flash's annoying life style. "Mary Jane and her pet kitty cat are getting all lovey dovey."

"Tch, so lame." Mary muttered while rolling her eyes. Going after her best friend's strange (Cute) whisker-like birthmarks wasn't really original, especially since just about everyone and there mother had something say about them since Naruto's first day of pre-school. "Your materiel is getting extremely stale Eugene."

"Hilarious Flash," Naruto said in a deadpan tone. "But seriously, how's your Hooked on Phonics studying going, buddy? Did you get to the part about the three syllable words yet?"

Frowning that Naruto's response got quite a few laughs from those who heard it, Flash attempted to save what little face he has by storming out of the class. "Naruto Parker eighty-two, Flash Thompson zero." Mary Jane said with a grin.

"Eh, what can I say, I have a quick wit." And now that Flash was properly put in his place for the day, the two left the classroom.

Once in the hallway, Mary Jane was forced to speak a little louder due to the sounds of students preparing to go home. "Jeez, I can't believe we used to call that jerk a friend, he's such a full on asshole."

"Forget him MJ, let Flash have his fun now, cause when high school is done that guy is going to get a big dose of reality." Naruto said with a shrug. He'd gotten over Flash heel turn a long time ago.

"That'll take too long," MJ said crossing her arms underneath her chest. "By the way, me and Liz are going to be heading to mall in a few, you up for it?"

Burst of memories went through Naruto's mind as he heard the word mall. "Yeah thanks but no thanks, the last time I went to the mall with you two I ended up watching you two model clothes for three hours straight. And the worst thing about it was neither of you brought a single thing! Not even those awesome bikinis I recommended."

MJ gave Naruto a deadpanned stare. "Naruto those things were practically see through. There was no way me and Liz could wear those things in public without looking like a pair of hookers."

With a shrug of his shoulders, Naruto made his counter argument. "That's why backyard inflatable pools were invented." Hey, he's a teenager plus both MJ and Liz are really cute.

"You realize no matter how hard you try me and Liz will never mud wrestle for your entertainment."

"Yeah, I know and it makes me sad…" Naruto joked while lowering his head to further show his disappointment at the fact he'll never see those two hot girls wrestle in mud.

"Such is the life style of a guy who has a girl as a best friend." A voice said behind the two.

Turning around both Naruto and MJ saw it was only their friend Harry Osborn. "Come on Harry, you know whenever you're around you're atomically bumped up to best friend status because of your money." Naruto joked.

Grinning at his friends joke, Harry gave the Naruto a quick high-five. "So Naruto since you won't be joining MJ at the mall how about we go play some games on my ridiculously big TV, I just got my hands on the newest Battlefield." Harry offered to his friend. Unlike so many other people, Naruto was never really impressed with his family's fortune which made him awesome friend material in Harry's eyes since their school was filled with people who asked the Osborn heir for 'friendly favors'.

"As cool as that sounds Harry, and trust me that sounds insanely cool, I can't make it. Aunt May is making dinner and she wants me and Uncle Ben to be there. Y'know, family time and all that stuff." Naruto said dejectedly. He hated turning down request from his friends but he loved Aunt May's cooking.

Although Naruto's answer wasn't the one he wanted, Harry still managed to joke around the blond. "Family time?" The wealthy teen said in mock curiosity. "What is this strange and foreign language you speak?" It wasn't exactly a secret that Harry's parents weren't exactly...dotting. Between his father's workaholic-like tendency and his mother's love for aged drinks, Harry rarely spent any quality time with his parents.

"Maybe next time, bro." Waving his friends goodbye, Naruto headed towards the school's main entrance with intentions to head towards the bus that'll take him to Forest Hills.

-The Parkers' home, Forest Hills Queens-

"All I'm just saying is that Mary Jane is cute girl and if you don't hurry up and ask her out somebody else will." It took a great deal of Naruto's willpower to keep himself from bury his head in the spaghetti and meatballs that laid before him after hearing Uncle Ben's sudden declaration. He loved his uncle dearly but the man read way too much into his relationship with MJ. Plus, Naruto was sure she had a crush on Harry.

"Ben," Aunt May said from her side of the dinner table. "Leave Naruto alone, I'm more than sure he'll ask Mary Jane out when he's ready."

"Aunt May, you're not making it any better." Naruto groaned while massaging his temple. He was still trying to figure out how their conversation went from the Knicks' losing streak to his love life.

Uncle Ben offered his wife of twenty years a kind-hearted smile. "I'm just giving our nephew a little advice, May." The grey haired man said before turning towards his young nephew. "Y'know when we were younger your Aunt was getting a lot of attention from the guys in our old neighborhood. If I didn't ask her out when I did she could have easily been married to someone else." Ben said, the warm memories caused him to place his hand over his wife's. "I'm telling you Naruto; love starts young so you better just work up the courage and ask her out."

"Me and MJ," The blonde said with a thoughtful look on his face. "I just can't see it."

"Not yet you can't," The grey haired man said as he glanced at his wife. "But give it some time."

"Okay," Getting up from his seat, Naruto began gathering his empty dishes. "As fun as this is, I think I'm going to head to my lab."

"Just be sure to carry yourself to your room, Naruto. I don't want you sleeping in that cold basement anymore!"

Ben couldn't help but to silently chuckle as he recalled the days when Richard, just like his son, would fall asleep at his desk while triple checking his data for the day. "Heh, I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree."

After disposing his dishes in the kitchen sink to be cleaned later, Naruto headed to the door that lead down to the basement and descended a short flight of stairs.

Without even thinking about it, he flipped the room's light stitch to its on setting and illuminated basement. One-third of the cellar was dedicated to storing a number of items the Parker's couldn't bring themselves to throw out and the rest was giving to Naruto to act as his lab.

Thanks to the his father's old habit of bringing his work home, Naruto had the fortune/misfortune of inheriting some of his dad's old equipment, which was all neatly stored on two large metal tables alongside one of the basement's wall. At first glance his computer didn't look very impressive but underneath its surface was a whole other story. After a few trips to Radio Shack and a little personal tinkering, the blond budding scientist was the proud owner of a decked out computer capable of hacking into Stark industries, not that he would ever do that.

Taking a seat in swivel chair, Naruto grabbed a small, wireless microphone and held it near his mouth.

"Computer: Activate wrap drive." After speaking those words, the teen watched as the computer monitor switched onto life. Voice activation and control, just one of the many tweaks Naruto made to his personal computer. "Password: MJ sometimes resembles grumpy cat." The computer screen soon held the image of his mother and father on their wedding day. "Access music: Play dad's favorites."

As the song 'Time in a Bottle' began playing, Naruto turned his chair until he was facing a large dry erase board that was filled with a number of scientific formulas. "Now what are you missing dad?"

-The Next Day, during the class field trip-

From the moment the students of Midtown High stepped off their assigned school bus and entered the corridors of the Oscorp labs they were abuzz with excitement, not because they were currently receiving the opportunity to tour the halls of one of the city's most technologically advanced laboratories but because they were getting a day out of class. However, one whisker marked student was an exception to the rule, something Mary Jane quickly noted "Hey, Naruto," The cute redhead began with a smirk, she couldn't help but tease her best friend about his enthusiasm. "Just throwing a quick heads up your way, you got a little drool leaking from the edge of your mouth." She wasn't surprised when her best friend failed to response to her joke, his attention was focused on a giant microscope.

"By the power of Greyskull, that's the seven-tone," He said in awe while staring at the powerful microscope the lab featured with stairs in his eyes. "It's one of the world's most advanced microscopes. I read somewhere that a scientist was actually able to observe gold atoms with a resolution of thirty-five picometers. Can you believe that? Thirty-five, freakin', picometers."

Mary Jane simply stared at Naruto while wearing a blank expression. "No, I can not, on any level, believe it." She said in a monotone voice. 'I know you're a nerd Naruto but wow.'

Unlike his parents, who were both known masters of their respective fields, Naruto wasn't a prodigy when it came to science; it was only after his mother and father's untimely death when the youngest of the Parker family had decided to follow in his parents' scientific footsteps by engrossing himself in his studying. Initially, the young blonde's new found obsession with studying was okay in his Aunt and Uncle's eyes but once it had gotten to the point he began alienating himself from his friends and family to read and study Uncle Ben decided set him straight with a few choice words of encouragement. "Maybe I should start studying again?" The whisker marked teen wondered aloud. Sure he still studied weekly but it was nowhere near as intense as his original regiment.

Mary Jane rolled her emerald colored eyes out of annoyance, those infamous study sessions he used to partake in nearly coasted him their friendship. "Ugh, Naruto you're already one of the smartest people at our school, no need to lock yourself in your basement for days on end again."

"Yeah, you're right," Naruto told Mary Jane while sheepishly rubbing the back of his head, the last studying binge he went on threaten to put a serious strain on their relationship. "I'll lock myself in my basement every other day."

As the appointed Oscorp tour guide lead the high school students through the facility she talked about all of the genetic and medical breakthroughs Oscorp was accredited for and a few of the projects they had in works. To all but one, a majority of the escort's lectures and tidbits were pure boring, even the class' teacher was struggling keep her attention focused on the guide.

Despite the aura of disinterest that his fellow classmates seemed to generate, Naruto was paying rapt attention to each word the woman spoke; he found all of Oscorp's works utterly fascinating. "Excuse me, but is there a chance we might see Doctor Octavius?" Thanks to a certain documentary he watched centered around the newest technological marvels that graced only the most well-funded laboratories, meeting Otto Octavius and getting a look at the mechanical 'tentacles' he created was on his must do-list, right behind meeting Tony Stark and Reed Richards.

The tour guide met the inquisitive blonde's question with a pleasant smile. "You're in luck, young man, because our next stop is going to be the testing lab. Doctor Octavius' stomping grounds."

After a short walk through a winding corridor the students were lead into a large area that was filled with various hi-tech testing equipment and busy scientists moving about.

"Now this is what I call paradise..." Naruto muttered as he broke away from his fellow students, just about every fiber of his being was begging for a front row view of the action. All around the teen, men and women of science worked diligently on their respective projects in hopes of one day improving the world.

As Naruto marveled at all the equipment the lab held he suddenly found himself struggling to stay upright thanks to an unexpected impact. "Hey, I'm walking here..." A frown made its way onto the whisker-marked blonde's face as he steadied himself before turning to put a face to the force.

Meeting the teen's eyes was a stocky; middle age man dressed in a white lab coat, clenched within his hands was a pen and notepad. "Can someone please fill me in on the reason there is a child in the middle of my place of work?" A deep voice and scowl wasn't the only the features the man boasted, on his eyes was a pair of odd, constricting sunglasses and his brown hair was styled into a bowl cut.

The child comment was almost enough to fish a sharp retort from Naruto but upon taking notice of the man's odd sunglasses, the young Parker was able to add a name to the scowl. "Holy crap, you're Otto Octavius!" According to an article he read about the famed scientist, the glasses were a necessary accessory because Octavius suffered from a rare disease that made his eyes extremely sensation to light.

After hearing his name being spoken with a hint of awe, Octavius rid himself of his scowl and replaced it with a smirk. "Ah, a fan." The man of science said in a smug tone.

"You're damn right I'm a fan." Well, a fan of his work. "That paper you did about using a neural inhibitor to keep your mechanical arms' artificial intelligence in check was awesome. I mean, just imagine all the other things the neural inhibitor could be used for, you can revolutionize nanotechnology." The ability to limit and boost the intelligence of computers on a whim would leave both scientist and engineers alike with the ability to take their respective craft to another level.

Instead of being impressed by the young man before him, Octavius simply laughed in amusement and patted the younger individual on the shoulder. "Ha, do you honestly think I would believe a child such as yourself would be able to read and understand my work?" He said while shaking his head in a dismissing manner. "I'll admit you have the imagination of a scientist but you speak of things you can never truly understand unless you had the luck of my tutorship, and I'm afraid you couldn't afford me." And with that, Otto Octavius left the teen to stew in his thoughts.

"Wow," Mary Jane said as she approached her best friend. "I guess it's true what they say about meeting your heroes."

Naruto shrugged his shoulders in responds to Mary Jane's words. "Eh, that guy is far from being my hero, MJ. I just think he's one of the fifty scientists that are under utilizing their inventions." If Octavius wished to bullheaded about listen to advice from unusual sources that was a choice Naruto would respect, even if he thought it was stupid. "Plus, my dad is my only real hero."

Soon, the students were giving permission to explore the laboratory at their leisure which in turn encouraged the teens to split into their respective social groups to talk about anything other than science, only Naruto, with MJ trailing behind him, actively explored the lab.

Doing his best to ignore a particularly loud group of teenagers, was one of the lab's many scientists who was currently in the midst of recalibrating the temperature of the testing laboratory's built- in storage units. If by any chance the storage units' temperatures were not kept at a constant 37 degree Celsius the volatile and highly experimentally inhalant they contain would run the risk of eating through its repository before flooding the lab. Of course there were safety procedures in the unlikely event the storage units didn't receive their daily check-up; the first thing that would happen is the emergency alarm would sound off, warning everyone to exit the lab as quickly as possible. And whether the room has been cleared or not, every exit will be sealed by air-tight steel doors in order to keep the gas contained. And finally, special manufactured vents will suck up the inhalant before delivering it to a secondary storage location.

Despite the importance of the task, maintaining the storage units' core temperature was a simple job, all it required was a few strokes of a keyboard. Something a child could do. However, when a few of the bored jocks decided the Oscorp testing lab was an appropriate new setting for a shoving game that's when a chain of events began to take place.

After being shoved harder than expect, one of the jocks stumbled directly into the scientist who was charged with keeping watch over the storage units. That caused the lab coat clad man to accidentally press more buttons than required on the computer before him.

The lab technician couldn't find it within himself to respond to the jock's halfhearted apology, he was too busy watching the temperature rapidly change from 37 degree Celsius to 108 degree Celsius, a stray thought of attempting to fix the problem entered his mind, seconds before it was crushed underneath his survival instincts. "Oh, shit. Shit, shit, shit!" He muttered before slamming his hand on a large red, emergency button. "Everyone out!" He shouted as loud as he could as alarms began blaring.

"The testing lab's lock down will be initiated in t minus thirty seconds..." A loud computerized voice said over the P.A system.

As the powerful siren blared and flashing red lights washed through the large room, scientist and teenagers alike began to panic as they made a mad dash for the lab's only viable exit.

During the human stamped, Naruto kept a tight grip on Mary Jane's hand as he wade through the masses. Staying upright was a challenge but he knew it was his only option unless he wanted to be trample, and a wayward glance at Mary Jane's terrified expression gave him all the motivation he needed to keep moving.

Eventually, he found himself less than a few feet away from the exit, and the feeling of safety was beginning to nip at his heels. However, seconds before Naruto could cross the threshold, he felt MJ's hand slip out of his own. Without thinking, he stopped in his tracks and turned around with the intentions of finding his friend. In the time it took him to spot his best friend just about all of the lab's occupants had the luck of making it out of the lab and into the designated safety zone.

"Lock down will be initiated in t minus fifteen seconds..."

With a scowl gracing her delicate features, Mary Jane rubbed her now sore bum. Although she didn't catch a good look at the culprit, she knew the inconsiderate jerk that had floored her without evening attempt to right the wrong was a member of her class. "Don't worry, beautiful, I gotcha." She heard Naruto say before he grabbed her hand. A wave of relief washed over the young woman as she was pulled to her feet.

Thanks to the fact that most of students and scientist had made their way out of the lab, Naruto and MJ had a clear path to the exit. "C'mon, we gotta get out of here!" He yelled, the sirens were still blaring loudly. Not a second after he was prepared to leave, a lone figure entered his peripheral. 'Who...' Kneeling on the ground with a dazed expression upon his mug was none other than Midtown High's resident jerk, Flash Thompson. "You get out here, MJ. I gotta help Flash." Words Naruto thought he'd never say.

Of course Mary Jane wanted nothing more than to dispute Naruto's request but the stern look he sent her way let her know there was nothing to discuss. "You damn, jerk!" The visibly annoyed redhead growled before running towards the safe zone with the others.

Now that he didn't have to worry about Mary Jane's safety, Naruto shifted his attention onto Flash. "Right, time to save the asshole." Because it was the right thing to do.

"Aw, man..." Flash groaned with some difficulty, his vision was swimming and the back of his ached badly. All of the jock's problems steamed from the bad spill he had taking while trying to escape the lab. It seems his popularity among the students of Midtown High wasn't enough to motivation for one of his fellow students to help him out.

As Flash struggled to regain his bearings he suddenly felt a tugging sensation on the helm of his shirt which caused him to glance upward, because his vision was currently at its weakest the only thing he could make out about the person standing above him was a mess of blond hair everything else was a blur.

The combination of his head injury and the deafening alarm left the bully stuck in state of confusion, so therefor when Flash took Naruto's helping hand the wrong way it was hard to fault the jock when he suddenly took a hold of his fellow blonde's shirt and violently pulled him downward.

Flash's unexpected response ended with Naruto's forehead bashing harshly against the lab's white tiled floor.

Unaware of his actions, Flash climbed to his feet, although he was still feeling off, the young athlete was able to take notice of the fact that more than a few of his fellow Midtown High students were desperately trying to wave him over. Eventually, he was able to make it to his classmate's moments before the lab's safety doors slammed shut behind them.

"Lock down initiated..."

The sight of Flash entering the safety zone absent her best friend caused the redhead to run directly towards the sportsman and roughly grab the collar of his shirt. "Where's Naruto!?" She screamed in fear, her answer was a blank stare. "You fucking asshole!" She screamed before making her way to one of the steel doors.

As Naruto pushed himself off of the floor the sight that had greeted him was a small pool of his own blood. "That ain't good..." The blond mumbled to himself, completely unaware of the dangerous forces that were in work just a few feet behind him.

After shoving her way through a pack of dumbfounded students, Mary Jane used the small five inch observation window that was built into the frame of the safety door to see if Flash was irredeemable asshole she believed him to be. Unfortunately, the sight of a certain whisker marked blond confirmed her opinion about Flash. "Naruto!" She yelled while simultaneously slamming one of her hands against the door.

The fear that engulfed Mary Jane's entire being took a momentary leave once Naruto raised his head to meet her eyes with his own. In this exact moment, there wasn't anyone alive who could tell Mary Jane that her favorite blond wasn't seconds away from strolling out of laboratory.

While using his forearm to wipe away a trail of blood that was in the midst of making its way down his face a strange hissing sound diverted Naruto's attention to his flank. Not a second after he had turned to investigate the noise a powerful explosion akin to dozen rocket propelled grenade launchers going off at the same time.

Not unlike a freshly fired cannon ball, Naruto's body flew through the air until it eventually collided with the safety door, leaving a teenage size dent within the steel. For those standing on the opposite side of the safety door a loud thud resonated through the area.

Naruto was instantly knocked unconscious.

A loud yelp escaped Mary Jane's throat as she witness the back of Naruto's head bounce off the safety door's glass window, effectively leaving it with a large spider web crack. Despite the damage that had been done to the window, she had little trouble seeing her best friend unconscious form, that is until an odd green mist completely blanketed the lab.

From the young Parker's perspective, everything seemed to change in the blink of an eye. One moment he was staring into his best friend's fear filled eyes through a small glass window and the next he found himself standing outside of an eerily familiar brownstone apartment complex.

"What the hell is going on here?" He wondered aloud.

It took a few short seconds but eventually the gears that were hiding underneath his blond mop began to turn, and soon Naruto found himself understanding the reason why the brick based building seemed so familiar. "Couldn't be..." Not fifteen away was the brownstone he called home before his parent's untimely death forced him to move in with his Aunt and Uncle.

The last time he had been anywhere near the three story building was to pack up all of his belongings and grab a few significant items that held a great deal sentimental value to him. That had been eight long years ago.

Despite the bittersweet memories that were flooding into his head; birthday parties, holiday celebrations and Sunday morning breakfast alongside his parents, Naruto somehow managed to keep his eyes dry in the presence of his childhood home.

After forceful putting an end to his trip down memory lane, Naruto began slowly moving towards the story building, he didn't know exactly why but he felt compelled to once more walk through its halls but that didn't stop him from moving forward. Eventually he made his way up the stone steps and turned the front door's bronzed knob, much to his surprise, the door was unlocked.

Naruto, upon crossing his former home's threshold, found himself turning his head to the left out of pure instinct. Subconsciously, his intentions were to locate a certain piece of furniture that had always held the ability to bring a smile to his face, the coat rack. From what he could recall about the years he spent inside the humble brownstone with his parents, every day after returning home from a day of playing with his friends, little Naruto would check the coat rack for the presence of his father's favorite brown leather jacket. Since the coat rack was always one of the first things anyone would see when entering their residence he always found the simple coat rack to be a more reliable source on whether not his dad was home. In all honesty, the last time he laid eyes on the piece of furniture he immediately broke down and began crying.

That was eight years ago, today, his reaction was slightly different.

One golden brow arched in the presence of the notorious coat rack from his childhood, it stood exactly how he remembered it; tall, oak finish with bronzed hooks. However, as nostalgic as the coat rack was it wasn't the source of his surprise. No, that honor belongs to the odd coat that's hanging off on of its hooks. The unfamiliar item was long, not unlike a trench coat and featured a white surface with red flames dancing near the bottom. If the strange coat wasn't filling him with a sense of apprehension he might have deemed it cool.

As Naruto was absentmindedly extending his right arm to feel the fabric that made up the alien outerwear a sudden bright flash commandeered his attention and caused him to look down the hall that led into the rest of the house. "What the hell was that?" He wondered aloud. Of course he was skeptical about going any further but eventually his curiosity prevailed.

While walking the halls of his childhood, the spiky haired teen couldn't help but make passing glancing at the family photos that decorated the walls of his old home, everything just felt so surreal. Everything was just like how he remembered it; it was like the house was left alone out of some sort of respect for the memory of his parents.

Eventually Naruto's feet brought him to the door that lead down stairs, to his dad's home based personal lab. A downward glance would reveal the door still held the sign his father had hung on it when he was five years old, 'Daddy's lab. No adorable and smart kids allowed unless they want to lose their desert privileges!'.

A soft chuckle escaped from Naruto. As a kid, the thought of losing desert seemed like a world ending event.

The smile that had made its way to Naruto's face soon faded as another unexpected flash went off, this time he could see the light escaping from the edges of the basement door's frame. Whatever was causing the strange light show was coming from his dad's lab.

Even after all these years, there was still a little voice in the back of Naruto's head telling him he's not allowed down there, the voice was promptly ignored as he laid a hand on the door knob and twisted it.

"I sure hope I don't lose my desert privileges over this..." And with that said, he stuck out one of his feet with the intentions of descending the stairs.

Moments after Naruto's entire frame crossed the threshold he found himself standing in a large clearing that was surrounded by trees. "What the hell is going on? Am I going crazy or something!?" Why was his mind playing so many tricks on him? And why was his abdomen starting to hurt?

Out of pure agony, Naruto dropped to his knees and began clutching his chest through his shirt. "Wha...What's happening to me!?" The searing pain that was coursing through his chest was unlike anything he had ever felt before, it was as if some sadist bastard had suddenly decided to press a branding iron against his chest.

As the pain persisted, Naruto felt a hand gently land on his right shoulder. "I wish I could help you, Naruto, I wish I can take this pain away from you...but I don't know what to do..." Those were the words and a distant roar was wha Naruto heard seconds before he passed out.

A nervous lump was stuck inside the throat of one Mary Jane Watson as she watch the odd green mist leave the room by way of a heavily modified ventilation system. It took a little while but eventually the lab was completely cleared and she was allowed a clear view of her best friend's unconscious form, much to her relief she could see his chest was still moving with life. "Oh, thank God."

Now that the test lab was clear of the chemicals the blaring alarms came to halt and the metal doors that isolated the testing labs from the rest of Oscorp automatically unlocked themselves.

Mary Jane's first instinct was to run to Naruto's side; however a team of paramedics beat her to the punch. "Please be okay. Please be okay. Please be okay..." She desperately chanted while watching the EMTs do whatever they can to help.

As Naruto slowly regained his consciousness one of the first things that greeted his eyes was the blurry image of figure sitting in a meditative stance, the only features he could make out were spiky blond hair that greatly resembled his own and a green vest styled with a red spiral. Straightaway, he made an attempt to shift himself upright but a sudden pulse of pain forced a curse out of his mouth. "Agh! Damn it!" He hissed while placing a palm against his chest. Although the pain was now bearable it was still a major annoyance. "What the heck is wrong with me?!"

While one of Naruto's hands stayed firmly pressed against his chest the other dug into the grass below him. "It's your chakra pathway system, Naruto." It didn't take a genius to figure out the voice was coming from meditating, mystery man. "From what I can tell, it's going through some radical changes."

The term 'chakra pathway system' raised more than a few question within the young blonde's mind but before he could vocalize his curiosity a pained yelp escaped the teen. "Ugk!" Initially the pain was only focused exclusively around his abdomen but now it was rapidly spreading throughout his entire body. "Why is this happening to me!?"

"Quick, get the kid on his side! His seizing badly!"

"Someone make sure he doesn't bite his own tongue on accident."

And suddenly, the pain was gone. Completely dissipated.

"What the...what the hell..." For the most part, Naruto now felt perfectly fine if not a tad bit out of breath. After running an idle hand through his hair, the teen climbed to his feet and turned to face mystery man. "Okay, dude," He began in a slightly hoarse voice. "I got a few questions for you."

Instead of immediately responding to Naruto, the mystery man abandon his meditative position in order to stand up and face the younger blond.

One of Naruto's golden eyes arched as he found himself staring at a face that somewhat resembled his own. "Who...who are you?"

The man sent Naruto a friendly smile before answering. "My name is Minato Namikaze. And I'm your father."

"Fuck you!"
