The air was tense and rigid; so fragile that Jason feared if his foot betrayed the world would shatter. So he stood, nailed carefully in place. Electric blue eyes darted to the left, eyeing the despondent son of the sea. Jason's heart painfully hammered into his chest, each thump edging him to panic. Jason knew that the world wasn't on his shoulders. No, it was placed on Percy's and no matter what he did Jason knew that Percy would be the savior or slayer of this Earth. Not him. No one in fact had any chance to escape the imminent extinction if Percy didn't get better.

Thump.

They needed for Percy.

Thump.

Everyone was going to die if Percy didn't remember.

Thump.

Jason strode out of his stupor and tugged Percy along with him. He dully noted that his hand was shaking. Jason grabbed Percy's face, the dead mossy green colored eyes angering him. Apollo claimed with much dismay that he was only able to freeze time for a limited time. That if they failed…..

"PERCY WAKE UP!"

Jupiter's son shook Percy's face, crossly begging Percy to get better. Percy in return frowned. A screen flashed abruptly in front of them and an image of grubby fat man came into view. His teeth were tainted black from smoke and a vile cigar was stuffed between his jagged beast-like teeth. His eyes were a dirty grime color but if the lights were flicked off and nightmares came out to play they could appear red for he was an evil monster that lurked deep in the shadows of the closet, waiting, watching; Prowling with hands that were dripping red. A body quivered in the dark, drawing soft whimpers from his lips. The man grabbed a sole dart with his repulsive fingers and aimed.

The demigods gasped and collectively wondered who the slumped form was.

The man gave a wild laugh and let the dart slice through the air. It flew, it rose, it sailed.

Percy shifted in Jason's grip and blinked before giving a desperate wail as his knees kissed the ground. Annabeth's eyes widened and she took an uncertain step forward.

The dart connected with tender flesh and more out of terror than pain, the boy's mouth opened.

Percy looked through the curtain of his raven hair, dull emerald eyes peering through darkness. He gave a quick intake of breath before screaming a shriek bursting with pure pain and desperation to the point that he lacked the proper respiration to formulate words on the tip of his tongue. He crawled backwards, slamming his eyes shut and shaking like the possessed.

On the screen the man brought another dart into his palm, turning it menacingly in his hold.

Percy curled into himself; bring his hand to his heart in agony

"Conceal don't feel. Don't feel. Don't feel."

Annabeth slid to the ground cradling his head gently, forcing his eyes open.

Tears dripped like acid from his eyes.

Crack

Annabeth's heart began to erode as she forced Percy to watch his nightmares.

Percy gasped, "Ann…" He paused still being forced to watch, "no more. Please. I…. Please. Please. Please."

Leo stilled and his eyes widened, "Percy….the savior of Olympus is begging…."

And for the hundredth time in Percy's seldom lifetime. He began to weep acid.

B-B-B-B-ONUUUUSSSSS: "Annabeth….I'm still dead inside. B-but I can feel a spreading warmth in here," Percy croaked bringing a shaking hand to his chest.

There was a fire spreading like wild fire and Gaea had a plan to stop it.

A/N URG sorry sorry sorry. I know throw darts at me for taking a hiatus sorrrryyyyyyyyyy. I'm also sorry for how poorely written it is I was busy and sick and and and EXCUSES.
