A/N: Here it is. The end is here for the DFK Season Trilogy revision, which I started back in May 2010 (coinciding the same time DBZ Kai English dub was first released). 160-something chapters later, a few movie fics (the Mutalior & Yagami fics, Tyrantmon Unbound, Battle of Digital Gods), a handful of crossover events (Across Dimensions, Siege of GranDracmon) and non-canon parody collab projects (House of Madoka and Shinnen: New Year).
I've had help and support along DF's rebirth journey. Thanks to: Ford1114, Chaosblazer, Haruhi Suzumiya s0s, supergoku1987, JNaegi, max acorn (for BoDG) StarlightAT (for previous reviews on pre-D Reaper's Fury), Crimson G, digifan303, Generic Reviewer, ShadowLDrago, Akira Kamiya, Jeremy, RazenX, and many others I likely missed. Thank you for the support and sticking with this story revision. The launch of this story pretty much marked the start of what my friend/collab partner, Ford1114, labeled the 'The Recreational Years'. This fic has pretty much helped to hone my writing skills better. I don't want to toot my own horn, but I think I've hit my peak as a fanfic writer and am looking to venture out to prepare my plans for my own published works (using a few of my own O.C.s and repackaging them). Well, that's my plan. There's still unfinished business with my remaining fanfic works.
And this isn't the end of the DFK journey, my friends. There's Cross Generations to look forward to, and yes shortly after this story is done, I will get right on my Resurrection F adaptation (aka Resurrection B). I hope y'all can look forward to those. As well if you're into my YuYuGiDigiMoon series, there's Apophis Rising, Valkyrie Advent, and Wrath of the Defiants. So while my fanfic writing activity might dwindle (especially if my planned original works somehow pick up), I don't plan to stop until the fics I want to finish get their conclusions. And most importantly as long as my passion is still there (as long as I don't burn myself out like I did with certain parts of Dawn of Chaos and a little of Shinnen). I'll go as however long as I can (I mean, if the likes of Team Four Star can keep going pumping out their content, why should I stop altogether?)
Yeah, don't want to further bore y'all with real life plans and crap. Just needed to get it all out.
The DFK Season Trilogy culminates here. DFK (Seasons 1, 2, 2.5) lasted May 2010 – Nov 2012. Season 3 lasted Dec 2013 – Jan 2016. Season 3 proved to be a huge undertaking with additional hero casts and writing chapters from scratch, but the revisions paid off. Heck, at least my Kai Buu project got released, unlike a certain company that's yet to release their Kai Buu dub. Not pointing out any names. (coughs)Funimation(/coughs)
More nuggets of info: as of this posting, this weekend will mark the 20th anniversary since DBZ's original Japanese broadcast date: January 31, 1996. Hard to believe. Where has all that time gone? And how fitting with this story corresponds by wrapping up the last Z Saga adaptation. This year also marks the 15th anniversary since my original DF series started and the 20th anniversary year of DBZ in America (September 13, 1996). This year is quite momentous in the Dragonball (and things related to it) front.
Anyway, here's the final character corner/Shinnen tie-in by Ford 1114. After that, we jump straight to the fated encounter between Tai & Agumon and Dorothy (fem!Uub) & Avengemon.

Beerusmon's Domain/Universe: Character Corner/Real-Life: January 2016
(Cue Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath Of Cortex - Crunch Time)
It has been weeks since Shinnen: New Year. Things have been peaceful at Beerusmon's Domain, or at least not the case. Above mid-air, there are two Digital Gods of Destruction fighting: Beerusmon and his twin brother, Champamon. Watching them as audiences are Whismon, LadyWhismon (Whismon's twin sister), Omega X, and Metalla X.
Beerusmon (grins): Gee, you haven't changed a bit, tabby fatso.
Champamon (angered): Keep your insults to yourself, Beerusmon!
The two digital felines continued to pummel one another, igniting their brotherly reunion. Beerusmon fired a volley of Ki blasts, but Champamon unleashed a barrier to block them out.
Omega X (whistles impressed): So that's what is like when Beerusmon fights his twin brother.
Metalla X (crossed his arms): I never expected that when they exchange blows.
Then, Beerusmon and Champamon land to the grass as they are about to unleash two large sun-like spheres: Beerusmon's Judgment and Champamon's Judgment respectively.
Champamon: I'm gonna wipe that smirk off your face!
Beerusmon: Try your best then, chump!

All of a sudden, Whismon and LadyWhismon swiftly karate-chops Beerusmon and Champamon behind their necks, while the purple feline gods gasp out with humorous looks before their sun spheres fade as they are knocked out.
Whismon: This is far enough, Lord Beerusmon.
LadyWhismon: Same to you, Lord Champamon.
Thirty minutes later…
(Cue Dragon Ball Super OST - Relaxing Beerus)
The group is seen having lunch in a large rounded table. Beerusmon is casually seen eating pizza while Champamon grumbles with LadyWhismon watching over him.
LadyWhismon: Yes, now that it's the right time to eat, me and Lord Champamon are here to give you an announcement.
Omega X: Yeah, I wonder what's that all about?
Metalla X: Better be good.
Whismon: You always say that line, Yamato.
Metalla X: Oh don't bother.
Champamon (sighs): Fine, so we're here because we want to tell you information about the Super Digicores.
Omega and Metalla X: Super Digicores?!
LadyWhismon: Yes, Ascendants of DF-616. These are planet-sized digicores that are presumably rumored to be the originator of all Digicores.
Omega X: You mean SliferGigaSeadramon, Azulongmon, and Lord Gorugon's digicores are traced from them?
Whismon: I believe so, less the retcons of this revelation, Taichi.
Champamon (smirks): And what's better, I have kept six of these Super Digicores in our parallel universe, while we're searching for the last one.
Metalla X: Unbelievable.
Omega X (surprised): Seriously? (to Champamon and LadyWhismon) You two gathered six of them at once?!
Beerusmon (eating pizza): And, my brother is hosting some upcoming tournament between our civil feud. If he wins, he's planning to use the Super Digicores to switch the positions of Earth in our twin universes.
Omega X: A tournament, huh? Color us interested in joining since we're now Ascendant Gods.
Metalla X (grins): And since we fought the Time Breakers, the Shadow Dragons, and that Mana construct before, I wonder.
Whismon: Of course, we are saying this because our 'story counterparts' have yet to reach this event involving their 'own Super Digicores' and/or whether the author is interested or not.
Whismon then used his staff to create a large image of the sky, showing them the dimension of DF-616. The Ascendant friendly rivals, Beerusmon, Champamon, and LadyWhismon watch of what's to come in D-Reaper's Fury's final chapter with DF-616!Dorothy & Avengemon's destined meeting with DF616!Tai & Agumon.
LadyWhismon: The digital tournament will still have to put on hold as to how the Dragonball Super manga chapters catch up to show these events.
Champamon: Tired of waiting for that, but I'd rather prepare my team.
Beerusmon (grins): Oh, I'm going to do the same as well!
Champamon (glares at Beerusmon): Bring it on!
As the Digital Gods of Destruction argued, the Ascendants watched their bickering.
Omega X: Ooookay, I think it's time we end this segment.
Whismon: Agree. Now let's get back to look at Season 3's final chapter, readers!

Odaiba Bay/Near Odaiba Convention Center/August 1, 2010/1:20 PM
As the Digi-Destined reconvened after splitting into their groups, they arrived at another landmark. This was the exact location where the original eight Odaiba Digi-Destined defeated Myotismon and his more powerful feral form VenomMyotismon. And he was the precursor for even more stronger enemies that awaited them in the Digital World: Daimaomon, the Digital Invaders, the Dark Masters, the Nightmare Special Squad, and the digital tyrant Burizalor.
A flood of good and terrible memories came back to the original Eight. Today marked the 11th anniversary since their fated departure that helped change and define their lives. Now just fresh off Teen-Reaper's demise and the recent encounter with Beerusmon, the Chosen ones learned there was more of the Digiverse they hadn't explored.
But, the group wanted to, for one day at least, forget about fighting and saving the world. This was their Memorial Day.
"So, are we all ready to move on?" Tai asked everyone. "Let's check out the TV station next."
"That's a good idea," Sora concurred.
"Ok, let's get moving!" Agumon chimed in excitedly.
Suddenly, their escapade would be interrupted by an unfamiliar girl's voice.
"Hey!" The sound of a youthful female yelled out from behind. "Are you Taichi Kamiya?!"
The group quickly turned around and to their surprise saw two unfamiliar characters standing right in front of them. Tai gawked at the two initially.
"Um, yeah that'd be me?" Tai pointed to himself.
(Cue Dragonball Z: Battle of Gods OST – Hero (Goku's Curiosity))
The two cloaked and hooded figures stepped forward. As some of the Kai Digi-Destined, D3s, and Digimon dropped into fighting stances, the figures unveiled themselves and ripped away their cloaks. To the surprise of the group, they were facing a human and Digimon duo.
"A girl and a Digimon?!" Mimi was taken aback by their appearance.
"Well, this is unexpected," BanchoLeomon muttered.
Indeed, standing right before them was a petite-looking girl with long, messy strawberry blonde hair. She looked roughly 8-10 years old. She was seen wearing what would be described clothing fit for a wilderness child: a one-strapped, loose light brown dress with a brown belt tied around the waist area, a pink and white three-feathered necklace, a long yellow scarf tied around her neck, white leg warmers, and brown sandals. She's roughly taller than Tike, Kara, and David.
Beside the mystery wild child was what many would describe as a 15-foot tall silver metal armored humanoid resembling a Kamen Rider.
The girl glared intently toward Tai with her blue eyes. She scanned him meticulously head to toe.
"He's the one I think," the silver humanoid addressed the child. "He does look familiar to Taichi Kamiya, the one we've learned about and have been yearning to meet."
The blonde girl's eyes watered with happy tears. "Oh, wow, you are him!" As she stepped forward, Tai's friends crowded around him. She timidly stepped back. "Eeek! Hey, me mean no harm!"
"Hey, back off, y'all!" Tai demanded everyone to pull back. "You're scaring her!"
"Who is she?" Izzy wondered.
Mimi teased Tai with a wink. "Maybe a secret fan?"
"Very funny," the Bearer of Courage scoffed as he turned and faced the mystery girl. As he scanned her more, something in hid mind clicked. Wait a second...! It couldn't be!
"Do you know her, Tai?" Matt inquired.
"Could you tell us your name?" X asked the girl.
"Oh, me? Dorothy. Dorothy Kaimodosu! And this is..."
"Avengemon," the humanoid introduced himself. "A pleasure to meet you all, Digi-Destined."
"Dorothy, huh?" Tai said with a playful grin on his face. "Or, should I say Dee."

(Cue Dragonball Z: Battle of Gods OST – Pilaf and His Gang Drops In)
The revelation baffled everyone, except a few (namely Tai and X). They all tried to wrap their minds around the concept of their most dangerous enemy, Teen-Reaper, now reduced to a timid child who looked like she stepped out of the wilderness. However, some wondered about Dorothy's partner, Avengemon.
Fat Dee was especially most curious as he looked straight at Dorothy and Avengemon. He felt a subtle connection to the two that he hadn't felt since the battle with Teen-Reaper over a year ago.
"Tai, please tell me you're jerking our chains!" Davis cried out as he pointed at Dorothy and Avengemon. "Ya mean... ya mean to tell us..."
"This little girl used to be the D-Reaper?!" Yolei exclaimed. "Ok, I've seen a lot of strange crap, but this takes the cake and all the frosting!"
"So, she's the evil D-Reaper's reincarnation?!" Sora added in disbelief.
"Heheh, yep, but that's not all," Tai veered over to Avengemon. "Her partner just so happens to be the reincarnation of that tall Super D-Reaper that absorbed most of us."
"So, two reincarnations for the price of one," Pikkan pieced the clues together.
"How did this happen? I thought the evil half of D-Reaper would've been reduced to a simple program," a befuddled Izzy wondered.
"It's simple," X interjected.
"Ok, you're in on this, too?" Keke asked X. "Care to clue us in?"

"Tai made a request shortly before he destroyed evil Dee with the Life Bomb," the masked watched explained the situation. "He requested that D-Reaper be reincarnated into someone good so he could fight again. Seems Lord Anubimon honored Tai's wish, but he not only reincarnated one but two beings from the evil D-Reaper. A human and a Digimon partner tandem, but that's not all." He turned and meticulously glanced at Dorothy. "Seems she's a digitized human much like Keke, Tike, Kara, Sam, and David. Moreover, she seems to have aged rapidly. One could say the remaining D-Reaper in her accelerated her age in order to better adapt to the harsher conditions in the Digital World."
"Indeed, and she's been under my care," Avengemon revealed. "Her accelerated growth can also be attributed to the consumption of data from the food she's sustained. She's no regular human as you might surmised."
"So, I take it you started as a Digiegg?" Agumon asked the silver humanoid.
"I did and I evolved overtime to protect Dorothy. She and I bonded very quickly. We've since become inseparable. We've lived in the Digital World for over a year, possibly longer. We were both born on the same day."
Born on the same day, eh? Telling indeed. X thought.
"Yep, and me got big enough to train with Avengemon," Dorothy added with a smile. "Me and Avengemon protect each other."
"Say, did anyone tell you look like one of the Kamen Riders!" Tike exuberantly yelled out.
David nodded and smiled gleefully. "Yeah, yeah, you do look like one!"
Kari sighed. "C'mon, you two be nice."
Avengemon had a perplexed look. "I don't quite understand what you mean. What's a Kamen Rider?"
"You're a hero type Digimon!" Kara said. "Meaning you and Dorothy are like a hero team!"
"Well, we have protected helpless Digimon from some fiends, yes," Avengemon said. "You could say we're heroes."
"Yep, and me teach the bad guys not to mess with us!" Dorothy declared as she took out a long red bo and twirled it around. "Hee-yah!" She planted the bo into the ground and spun around it while kicking her feet around for a spin kick.
"Don't let her size fool you, she's quite strong and a handful," the silver humanoid warned. "Of course, I'm able to restrain her well."
Grinning from ear to ear, Tai chuckled. "I wouldn't doubt that considering who you two used to be."
Dorothy and Avengemon, on the other hand, weren't quite following Tai's hint of their previous incarnations.
Dorothy obliviously asked. "Who me used to be what? Who me used to be?"
X whispered to Tai. "She and Avengemon have no recollection who they used to be."
"Yeah, I figured that, but they seem interested," Tai whispered back, turning forward facing them. "You wanna know who you used to be? Why not fight me for an answer?!" He quickly goaded Dorothy and Avengemon.
"I beg your pardon?" Avengemon was befuddled with this action.
"Yeah, you want some answers?! Come and fight us!" Agumon dared Avengemon. "Just cause you're bigger doesn't mean I'm a push over!"
Tai gasped. "Don't tell me you're going to take that from a little guy, big guy!"
Avengemon grumbled. "Dorothy, shall we fight them?"
"I don't know..." Dorothy hesitated.
Seeing how timid she was, Tai mused and pinched his nose. I hate doing this, but this calls for drastic measures! "Hey, Dorothy! You freaking smell! When was the last time you took a bath?!" The Bearer of Courage taunted her. "Man you reek!"
Taken aback by Tai's insult, Dorothy growled. "Me no smell!"
"And why do you talk like that? Did Avengemon not teach you to speak properly?!" Tai hounded her. "Avengemon makes for a lousy guardian!"
"You no make fun of me and Avengemon!" Dorothy snapped back as she bumrushed Tai.
"Everyone move!" BanchoLeomon yelled out.
(Cue Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2 OST – Jungle)
As the group moved, Dorothy lunged at Tai and narrowly missed him. Avengemon raced over to restrain her, but Dorothy pulled out her staff and tried smacking Tai with it. Tai evaded every single swing and jumped over Dorothy.
"Nice dodging, Tai!" Agumon cheered him on.
"Well, I'll be," Avengemon was impressed. "That young man moves so fast!"
Tai landed and beckoned Dorothy to attack him. "C'mon, I wasn't even breaking a sweat. I guess Avengemon makes for a poor fighting instructor, too!"
"Stop talking bad about Avengemon!" Dorothy fumed as she lunged at Tai again and swung her staff.
Tai prepared to dodge, but Dorothy's staff quickly extended and nearly bonked him in the head. Tai barely turned his head as the staff stretched outward.
Yikes! Didn't see that one coming! Tai mused as he focused on disarming Dorothy. As he flew at her, he dodged Dorothy's staff and landed a kick to her face.
Dorothy's head absorbed the impact of the kick and stumbled back. She dropped to one knee and rubbed her face.
"Tai! She's still a girl, you know!" Mimi berated him.
"Yeah, she might be the former D-Reaper for all I care, but this is too much!" Sora objected to see her boyfriend beating on a little girl.
"That weapon of hers," BanchoLeomon noted.
"What about it?" BW asked.
"I've seen a bo like that used by a village elder in the Digital World. If that's the same one, how did she acquire it?" The Bancho warrior deduced.
Just then, Dorothy turned her head and gritted her teeth. She then clenched her fists hard.
"Th... That's enough! Me no smell...! Me no weak!" Dorothy growled as the more abuse she took the more she's able to tap into her hidden reserves. Being digital, and the former Teen-Reaper, meant she could draw out her hidden powers. She threw down her arms and screamed. "DON'T TALK BAD ABOUT AVENGEMON!" She bumrushed forward and landed a kick, which Tai blocked with his right arm.
Boom!
The moment she kicked his arm, a loud impact blow erupted and shook the whole area. The Ascendants, D3s, and the Digimon felt the intense power emanate from Dorothy's kick alone.
Tai paused to notice his right arm shaking. "Yikes!" Before he could respond to Dorothy's next attack, he got clobbered with a punch to the face that knocked him down.
"Tai!" Kari and Sora cried out together.
X smiled upon seeing this. Now that's what I expect from the D-Reaper's reincarnation! She's now just like Keke, Sam, and the others. She's human, but also now part-digital. Meaning she's able to tap into a huge reserve of hidden power.
Agumon rushed over to Tai's side. "Tai! I've got you, buddy!"
"I'm fine, Agumon. She just caught me off guard there," Tai managed a chuckle as he rubbed his face. "Ow that stings. She's got one mean hook!"
Dorothy picked up her staff and brandished it. "C'mon, we fight more!" She addressed him, still speaking in her rough, uneducated dialect.
"Sure, bring all you've got!" Tai goaded her to attack.
"Avengemon, get his Agumon!" Dorothy ordered.
Avengemon complied. "As you command, Miss Dorothy!" He jetted forward and forged a beam toward Agumon.
"Tai!" Agumon called to his partner, to which Tai held out his Digivice in conjunction with the Crest of Courage's glow burning on his chest.

(Cue Digimon Adventure tri. OST – Brave Heart (tri. version))
Receiving a boost from Tai's Digivice and Crest, Agumon flew straight into the air and was encased in a golden orange sphere. The sphere then cracked open like an egg as WarGreymon flew out and engaged Avengemon. Avengemon and WarGreymon clashed in a mid-air battle that carried over across the bay.
"While our partners mix up, that just leaves us!" Tai challenged Dorothy. "What do you say, Dee?!"
"It's Dorothy! Not Dee!" The nature girl yelled out as she charged toward Tai.
Tai readily accepted Dorothy's challenge and rushed at her with a head full of steam. Dorothy stretchered her staff forward and planted it down. She used it to catapult herself into Tai. Tai tucked his head and let Dorothy fly over him. Dorothy landed behind Tai and threw punches. Tai parries these blows with ease and then grabbed Dorothy's right arm. Dorothy folded her other arm and secured a hold around Tai's neck. She then locked both legs around his waist.
Suddenly, Tai flew straight into the air with Dorothy still latched to him. Dorothy gawked upon seeing Tai flying tens of feet into the air. Dorothy desperately bit Tai's right shoulder, causing him to cringe.
"Yeow!" Tai yelped as he quickly grabbed Dorothy's head and tossed her to the ground hard.
Boom!
Dorothy's fall created a big hole in the ground. Heaps of sand fell and covered the spot where she landed.
"Whoa, Tai!" Kari cried out. "Even that's going too far!"
"Relax, Kari. I'd worry less about that girl's well being and more if she's pushed any further," X warned, beckoning everyone off. "Besides, this is the rematch that Tai's been wanting."
Matt meticulously watched Tai descend near the spot where he smashed Dorothy into.
"So, this is what you wanted. A follow-up to your fight with the evil D-Reaper," Matt muttered quietly.
"Beerusmon might've become Tai's biggest obstacle to overcome, but this is the opponent he's wanted," BanchoLeomon smirked.
"That Avengemon's no pushover either! He's giving it to WarGreymon!" TK pointed to the sky where the two Digimon's attacks caused shockwaves all around.
The clash between WarGreymon and Avengemon caused a brief power outage across the city. As Avengemon flew forward with an energy-imbued fist, WarGreymon summoned his Brave Shield to stop Avengemon's fist. Avengemon used his other hand and punched WarGreymon's shield. WarGreymon flew up into the air and spun around, hitting Avengemon with a Brave Tornado. Avengemon narrowly swerved around WarGreymon and discharged a quick blast.
WarGreymon batted the beam into the air, going to any lengths to prevent any collateral damage.
"Guess I got to go all out with you!" WarGreymon declared as an orange pillar of light engulfed him, granting him the power to alternate evolve into VictoryGreymon. Readying his Dramon Breaker, VictoryGreymon jetted forward and swung his massive sword over Avengemon.
Avengemon caught the sword with two hands. Avengemon tried disarming VictoryGreymon, but the Digimon kneed Avengemon's gut and fired a one-handed Terra Beam that pushed Avengemon away.
"Man he's giving VictoryGreymon a run for his money!" Davis yelled out.
"Stay on him, VictoryGreymon!" David encouraged Tai's Digimon.
Avengemon's surely delving into his reserves. If he really wanted to, he could push VictoryGreymon to his limit! X thought, veering his eyes back and forth while following VictoryGreymon and Avengemon.
"This is intense!" Keke shouted.
"Tai, look out!" Pikkan barked at the Bearer of Courage.
Taking heed of Pikkan's warning, Tai narrowly saw the staff extending and shooting out of the hole. Tai narrowly dodged the staff and backed away. Dorothy quickly scaled up the staff and intently glared down Tai. Dorothy hopped out and grabbed her staff, shrinking it back down to normal size.
Me not let this jerk get away with making fun of us! Dorothy thought with determination.
"If you come at me, then I will!" Tai shouted as he jetted forward and kicked Dorothy back only slightly.
Dorothy barely defended against Tai's kick with her staff. She rebounded and spun the staff around, unleashing a force that swept Tai away.
"Come and get me!" Tai called out as he flew across into Odaiba.
"Get back here!" Dorothy shouted. She hastily dashed after Tai and pursued him straight into Central Odaiba's streets.
"Shouldn't we go after them?!" Sora exclaimed.
"No, don't worry," X reassured everyone. "This is something Tai can handle on his own."
"Tai! Don't go overboard!" Kari cried out.
BanchoLeomon smirked. "Did you see that smile on his face?"
Sheila blinked. "Not really. Why would the bonehead be smiling?"
"Because he's genuinely excited to have someone else he spar with," Matt answered. "I bet I'm right. Aren't I, Tai?" It's hard to believe that girl's already learning to fight while she's fighting him!

Relocating their fight to an empty parking lot, VictoryGreymon and Avengemon try to kick each other and ended up knee to knee, neither one backing down from one another. Their energies started to make the parking lot concrete crack and crumble with force. They start fighting again, with Avengemon getting the upper hand. He slammed VictoryGreymon on the ground and kicked him in the face, sending him sailing back.
VictoryGreymon rebounded and somersaulted to his feet. Avengemon bellowed loudly, sending an immense force of power that sent concrete flying at VictoryGreymon. He hastily bumrushed VictoryGreymon, but VictoryGreymon eluded him and gut punched him. The force of the punch caused Avengemon to double over in pain.
"Give up," VictoryGreymon growled fiercely.
Avengemon gritted and protested. "Never. I won't fail Dorothy! I'll ensure she becomes the next legendary Chosen!" He rushed VictoryGreymon once again as they two continued to clash.

Dorothy hopped over several cars and used her staff to knock away some bystanders on her pursuit of Tai. Tai looked down and gawked upon seeing Dorothy on his trail.
"Holy cow, she's nuts!" Tai gaped as he flew over and landed on a rooftop. As he landed, he waited for Dorothy to meet him. I'm afraid if both of us cut loose here, she'll lose control and I'm forced to take drastic measures.
Dorothy finally reached the rooftop and stood opposite from Tai's direction.
(Cue Dragonball Z: Battle of Gods OST – Power of a Super Saiyan God)
A calm smirk adorned Tai's face. "You're persistent just like I remember you, Dee."
"Who's this Dee?! Me Dorothy!" The blonde snapped as she planted her staff and catapulted herself toward Tai. She launched head first into Tai and tried to poke his eyes, to which Tai blocked.
"Really cute trying to gouge my eyes like that!" Tai jovially laughed it up. "C'mon, you can do better than that!" He then clubbed Dorothy's back and sent her crashing facefirst to the ground.
"Stupid... you stupid!" She gritted as she headbutted Tai's groin, causing him to double over.
Crap, should've seen that coming...! Tai's eyes rolled back as he stumbled back.
Seizing an opportunity, Dorothy went for a right handed punch, but Tai narrowly sidestepped her. He turned around and tried a double-handed smash over Dorothy's back, but she crossed her arms and raised them up countering Tai's blow. Tai and Dorothy quickly forged a distance between themselves. They clashed head-on, pummeling each other with a flurry of punches and kicks. Each hard hitting blow shook the area around them. Buildings shook hard from the shockwaves created from their blows.
Tai and Dorothy's knees clashed hard as electric sparks surged out from their knees. Then, they both had the same idea and punched each other's fists, igniting sparks of electricity that cracked the ground beneath them. Both gritted their teeth hard and focused intently on one another, waiting for the other to attack. They returned to striking one another with knees.
Dorothy saw an opening and caught Tai with a punch to his side. She followed up with hard punches to his face. Tai's bobbed back and forth from Dorothy's punches. Dorothy jumped into the air and came down with a knee to his back.
Not giving him a chance to get up, Dorothy grabbed Tai by his legs and twirled him around. She quickly tossed Tai into the air. Grabbing her pole, she slammed it down and extended it high enough to reach Tai. She jumped up and clubbed Tai's back.
Boom!
She sent him crashing into just outside the Fuji TV station where everyone else arrived to see the fight.
"Tai!" Sora and Kari cried out together.
"Sheesh now that was a rough landing!" TK cringed hard.
"Get up, Tai!" Mimi encouraged him.

X watched quietly waiting for his protege to recover from the fall.
"What I'd expect from the former D-Reaper," BW said.
As Dorothy landed near the deep depression where Tai landed, she poked her head through to see if Tai was there.

Suddenly, the ground started to shake under Dorothy, alarming the nature girl. A loud sonic boom erupted and plowed through the hole. Tai emerged bathed in a whitish aura. He looked down and sighted Dorothy.
"What...?! No way!" Dorothy was taken aback. How come he can fly? And not me?! Me can't fly like him!
"Tai can easily end this if he so wanted to," BanchoLeomon observed.
"But, that's clearly not his intention," BW muttered.
Just then, VictoryGreymon and Avengemon landed near where Tai and Dorothy faced off. Avengemon turned and watched Tai gathering bluish energy in his hands.
"Dorothy!" Avengemon shouted, quickly dashing toward the space between Tai's and Dorothy.
"Tai, don't do it!" VictoryGreymon yelled out to his friend. "Tai!"
Tai abruptly halted his Tsunami Wave attempt and saw Avengemon throwing himself in front of Dorothy. Dorothy opened her eyes and saw the towering presence of Avengemon obstructing her.

"Avengemon?!"
"Are you ok, Dorothy? Did he hurt you badly?"
"Me fine, Avengemon."
Tai smirked upon seeing Avengemon's selfless act. "Just what I'd expect from a Digimon sticking their neck out for their partner." He descended and turned toward Dorothy. "Hey, Dorothy. I noticed during our fight you haven't learned how to fly yet."
Dorothy nodded. "Yeah..."
"I didn't take into account she'd need to since she had me as her transport," Avengemon pointed out.
"Yeah, but if she has bundles enough energy to utilize Ki, then by all means she should be able to fly, too," Tai said. "I'm surprised you didn't bother to teach her, Avengemon."
"Well, I... I just didn't consider that."
"Me wanna learn to fly, but not from you... you made fun of me and Avengemon!"
Tai chuckled. "Oh, don't take it personally, Dorothy! I only teased you like that so I can bring out and test your hidden power! And you surprised me!" He whispered. "And for the record, you don't smell bad. You smell like strawberries."
Sniffing herself, Dorothy smiled softly. "Me eat strawberries before we come here."
"And Avengemon, you showed impressive moves against VictoryGreymon. Not very many Digimon can push my partner the way you did," the Bearer of Courage addressed Dorothy's partner. "Say, do you two have a place you call home?"
"We've traveled throughout the Digital World for a whole year," Avengemon explained. "This is our first time entering this world you call Earth. We've barely only been able to find access here through something the Digimon inhabitants call a Digiport."
(Cue Dragonball Xenoverse OST – Tenkaichi Budokai Stage)
Dorothy nodded and whipped out a D3. "Yeah, with this."
"A Digivice," VictoryGreymon noticed the object.
The other Digi-Destined, too, noted the device in the girl's possession.
"That's our model," Yolei pointed out as she, Ken, Cody, Davis, Kari, and TK took out theirs.
"But, shouldn't she have a regular Digivice like Tai's and the others?" Cody wondered.
"Unless her Digivice got upgraded during her stay in the Digital World," TK deduced.
"In either case, she's one of us now," Kari smiled plainly.
"Hmmm," Tai scanned Dorothy's D3 Digivice. "Wow, the same model that my sister, TK, Davis, and their friends have."
"They friends of yours?"
"Yeah, they were watching my fight with you. By the way, so are you sure you and Avengemon don't have a place to stay?" Tai asked.
"No, we travel a lot and help Digimon in trouble," Dorothy said, turning around.
"You're pretty mean with that bo staff. Where did you get it?"
Dorothy answered Tai and showed him the staff. "Me got this when we saved a a village from a bad Digimon. Elder say me got hidden power and had good fighting skill. He said me would grow into a fine warrior one day."
"And he's right. You've shown me a lot of promise. Hey, what do you say I can teach you more fighting skills? And maybe I can teach you to fly?!"
"Really?! You can?!" Dorothy asked in elation.
"Dorothy, are you certain about this?" asked Avengemon.
"Me sure, Avengemon!"
"One of the first things we need to work on is her speech pattern," Izzy stated.
"The less mes and more Is sounds more pleasant," Tentomon concurred with the Bearer of Knowledge.
Mimi giggled. "Oh give her a break. She was raised in the wilderness with only Avengemon to look after her." She turned to Dorothy and winked. "Just leave it to me and Sora to give you a nice makeover."
"And perhaps you can let us examine your Digivice?" Ken asked.
Dorothy nodded to their offers. "Ok, me do." She turned and smiled to Tai. "And me accept training from you."
"But, where is she going to live? Who'd be willing to take in Dorothy and Avengemon?" Sora wondered. "My place is only good enough for three people and Avengemon's a big guy."
"Correction, I can manipulate my own size," Avengemon demonstrated by compacting himself down into human size and turned back to his behemoth size. "Not an issue for me."
Tai mulled for a minute and ultimately decided. "Ok, I'll take Dorothy and Avengemon."
"But, Tai? Are you sure?" Kari asked.
"Yeah, besides I'm already planning to move out to a new place in a month," Tai said. "I'm willing to adopt Dorothy and take her in. Besides, I'm the one who's gonna be training her. Sora, is that ok?"
"Sure, I don't see a problem, but why ask me?"
"Only because I intended to find us a place to live, but all this happened looks like plans changed."
Sora smiled upon hearing this and kissed his cheek. "It's fine. I can wait longer. Besides, you're just an Instant Movement away from my place. Look at it this way, this is just like taking care of your own kid."
"Oh boy, parenting is not what I was expecting at this point in my life," Tai modestly chuckled. He pivoted over to Dorothy and smiled at her. "Well, what do you say?" He put his hand out to her.
Dorothy looked up to Avengemon and faced Tai again. She smiled happily and shook his hand.
"Me go with you," Dorothy accepted Tai's offer.

"In the mean time, we'll have to make room in our apartment until you move out, Tai," Kari said.
"Yeah, but it'll work out and then we'll be out of there in a month."
"It wasn't that long ago you were my student, Tai, but looks like that role of sensei has been passed to you," X acknowledged.
"I know, but look at what I did for Kari and Takato. If I can do what I did for them and apply that to Dorothy, we got another future protector in the making," the Bearer of Courage proposed.
"To think someone who was made to destroy has been reincarnated to become a savior," Matt validated the scenario. "Then again, some of us didn't started off as do gooders to begin with." He referred to his 'Yamato' persona, BW when he used to be BlackWarGreymon, Ken when he used to be the Digimon Emperor, Sonja, Sheila, and Fat Dee.
"Yes, but look at it this way we effectively changed them for the better," X said. "I guess that's just how influential you guys have been to others."
"We did achieve by bringing a positive impact on both worlds," Joe said.
"Well, I don't know about you, but there's still some places to see! Dorothy, would you like to join us?" Tai asked her. "Today is our memorial day. I'd be happy if you'd like to come."
"Yes, me like to come," Dorothy accepted.
(Cue Digimon Adventure tri. OST – Butterfly by Kouji Wada)
"Then, it's settled! Next stop, Odaiba Park!" Tai openly declared as most of his friends cheered.
Falcomon whispered to BanchoLeomon. "Can you believe this?"
"Perhaps a sign he's ready to adjust into a parental role," BanchoLeomon smirked. "Especially after learning X is his son."
Watching Tai and Sora leave with Dorothy, Matt watched them closely.
You're not fooling me, Tai. I know you don't fully intend to prepare Dee's reincarnation to protect the world, but to better yourself. Matt thought with a grin. This is especially true ever since you became an Ascendant God. Well, I promise I won't be far behind. And then there'll be more than two Ascendant Gods to protect our families.
"Dorothy, once your training is done, let's make a vow to fight again," Tai proposed.
"Um, sure?" Dorothy nodded.
"Isn't it just exciting to be one of us? A chosen one destined to protect both worlds?" Tai said with teary eyes. "I know I'm excited! Here's to our future!"
"Yeah," Dorothy whispered.
"No need to be so quiet. Let it all out!" Tai encouraged her.
"YEAH!" She let out a energetic cry.
"Again so the whole world can hear you!"
"YEAH!"
Tai and Dorothy then shared a heartfelt laugh together.

Karin, Dimitri, and Kensuke stared out at the sunset. They mused about their next inevitable trip to the DF-616 dimension to see their neighboring friends again. Athena was inside playing games with Faith, PinkPatamon, and Veemon.
All Karin could do was smile, knowing she'll be seeing Tai, Sora, and the others again. Their bonds remain strongly connected across dimensions.

The Chosen's Digimon partners evolved one by one to the awe of bystanders. Some of the Chosen (namely Izzy, Yolei, Sora, Mimi) rode their aerial Digimon partners. The Ascendant Chosen took to the air and flew alongside their Digimon partners. The D3s and Digimon warriors also flew up into the air. Mummymon and Arukenimon rode on Fat Dee while Salamon evolved into LadyDevimon and carried Meryl.
Tai and VictoryGreymon led the group across Odaiba Bay. X, Sora & Phoenixmon, Kari & Ophanimon, and Matt & ZeedGarurumon weren't far off from Tai & VictoryGreymon. Dorothy rode Avengemon's back and raised her staff overhead hollering loudly.
Tai and his friends have had some memorable adventures, but don't fret. This isn't the end. Even more adventures and villains await them, but somehow that shouldn't dissuade them from going forward. Heading forward into a cross generation era.

A/N: Well that's it! The epilogue wasn't too eventful (other than Dorothy and Avengemon's reveal), but it wasn't intended to be. This is just closure for Season 3 and as you can already see the overall series isn't done yet.
Can't believe the trilogy revision, which I started back in 2010, has now come to a close. This was the DFK season I warned would have the most deviations/revisions compared to my original DF source. But, then again, the more things change, the more they stay the same, I guess. But, at least I can say I've finally put it behind me. In any case, the previous chapter could've served as a season ender.
So, here's Dorothy and Avengemon's proper introduction to the series (not counting their appearance in the Cross Generation preview chapter). Dorothy's character here is an amalgamation of Uub and Child Goku (the pole should be a dead giveaway). And instead of Goku leaving his friends behind to go with Uub, I've had Tai stay and adopt Dorothy into his family. Moreover, the Chosen can continue their reunion with Dorothy & Avengemon tagging along uninterrupted.
Been a while since WarGreymon has shown up, but this should tell you Agumon can alternate between War and Victory in the midst of a battle. I should've done this sooner, but here you go.
With this being post-Battle of Digital Gods (barely a month after said event), Tai and VictoryGreymon could effectively fight separately as shown (though to be fair they held back), but Omega X can still be accessed (just no more use for Level 2 or 3 anymore at this point). The Ascendant God power is now part of him.

Favorite Character Corner Segments: Yuu & Kriemhild stealing Serpentera from Lord Zedd, the TMNT segments, & Star Wars-related corners and the last one with Champamon & LadyWhismon.
Thoughts on upcoming stories (Resurrection B, Cross Generations, Valkyrie Advent): Looking forward to each installment for different reasons. Ress B for Burizalor's return and certain guest character appearances/cameos. Cross Gen for the other dimension travels and forthcoming arc battles. Valkyrie for the lore, the story, the tragedy involved, Kotori/Brunhilde's further character development, the introduction of a new cast of characters, and the battles.
Overall thoughts on series to now: It was fun to revise my old Buu adaptation fic and reintroduce it to the new generation. I enjoyed it more since half of the YYGDM cast were involved. But, most importantly to improve my writer's craft. As of this writing post, I'm glad my Kai Buu came out before the official English Funi dub!
So, what's next to look forward to DFK-wise? Cross Generations, for sure! Once intended to be a GT adaptation has developed into a more unique project. In fact, you can easily jump from this to the already accessible first chapter! Do go read, but be advised it may be revised before I prep the second chapter. For the most part, you be should be good to go to read. Just know my other series, YuYuGiDigiMoon, will be crossed over with it. Ford1114's Guilty Crown: The Lost Kingdoms and Chaosblazer's Digimon: Accel Stream will also have its characters involved in the mix. Be advised there may be spoilers from YYGDM future story lines. The official release should be ready within the next month or so.
Coming very soon: Resurrection B, my adaptation of Resurrection F, will be released soon. Considering the movie and the DB Super editions are now out, my adaptation is long overdue to be released. That's right: Golden Burizalor and Bluepar Ascendants! But, some new additional stuff to refreshen the experience (as much as I can provide) with some YYGDM crossover. Be on the look out for it!
Well, that's about it. Thanks for staying with me on this long ride, but this is the end of the season trilogy revision. Never thought I'd do this again much less complete it. Well, thankfully I did. I hope this revision allowed me to improve my writing skills. From this point on, I want to do less adaptations (Ress B and what little DB stuff left to adapt notwithstanding) and my own stories (fanfics and original writings). Hopefully, I'll get to do that with most of Cross Generations, Valkyrie Advent, and future fictions.
