For once, Pearl had made a mistake. It was a mistake she made every single year around winter time. Pearl had forgotten to get a jacket and gone holiday shopping with the Gems in her normal attire- a light blue top with pale pink shorts under a thin mini-skirt. She was absolutely frozen (though she wouldn't show it) as she, Garnet, and Amethyst walked to the various shops from which they would buy presents for everyone in their little family. It was a clear day, but the sun did not provide much warmth. Garnet and Amethyst had wisely worn the sweaters that had been gifted to them last Christmas by Steven, however ugly they may be. "HOW are you not cold, Pearl?" Amethyst whined, "I'm a walking ball of wool and I'm STILL freezing! You're hardly wearing anything at all!"

Garnet smiled, "Let her wear nothing if she wants, Amethyst."

Pearl slapped Garnet on the shoulder lightly, "Garnet!"

Amethyst made a gagging motion, "Oh shut up you two."

Garnet pointed out a shop across the street, "Isn't that the place you found that thing for Steven?"

Amethyst looked where Garnet was pointing, "Yeah, thanks. I'll meet with you girls later!" Amethyst ran across the street and more than a few car horns went off.

As soon as Amethyst was out of sight Garnet took off her sweater and gave it to Pearl, "Don't even pretend you're not cold." Pearl put the sweater on and it hung off of her tiny frame. She shuddered as the wave of warmth washed over her. "Thank you sweetie," Pearl blushed blue. Garnet smiled and put an arm around Pearl's shoulders as they walked, "I can't believe you always forget to go buy a jacket." Garnet commented. Pearl shifted under Garnet's arm to get closer to her. "Me neither, I normally remember things like that." Pearl smiled mischievously.

She makes the same mistake every year.
