The next morning, I found myself back in the gigantic bed. I knew Edward was in the rocking chair across from me , but I wasn't ready to face him. In fact, I wasn't ready to even face myself. I grab a pillow and cuddle it to my chest. I've never felt like this before... it's not depression but it was close. I just felt... empty. Empty of feeling. And to be honest it scared the hell out of me.

I felt the bed dip beside me and knew that the corpse has come to save the day. I snorted, that would be a good comic one day. His closeness made me a little uncomfortable, even though in reality he wasn't even an arms reach away.

"How do feel, sweetheart."

I stay quiet for a while, before answering, "Fine."

He chuckled a little, "Well, that's a lie, if I ever heard of one."

I shrug and decide not to respond. It's not like he asked a question anyway.

"Are you hungry?"

I shook my head.

"You should still eat something. How does eggs sound?"

My stomach growled at him in response.

He sighed, "Isabella, lying to me will get you no where. And that's another one of your rules, remember?"

I sat up and winced and looked at Edward to see that he winced with me. "I'm sorry, you're in pain. Would you like some lotion?"

I raised an eyebrow at him and he quickly responded with, "It has aloe vera. It should help you heal."

I nodded slowly, and he flashed away. He came back with the lotion and looked unsure what to do next. I sighed and held out my hand. He looked kind of disappointed until I said, "I'm going to rub this on me. Can you, please, make me some eggs... No seasoning or grease please... ooh and a small glass of milk."

He gave me a wide crooked smile. He bowed to me, "As you wish."

He went into the kitchen and started making my breakfast. As I put my lotion on, I could hear him humming the lullaby he sang to me last night. I smiled at the sound and quickly dressed for the day, wearing grey yoga pants and a light blue kami. I threw my hair in a ponytail, before joining him. He smiled at me, as I entered. He quickly finished and put a plate in front of me. "What do you want to do today?"

I frowned, picked up my fork and put a small bite in my mouth.

"We don't have to leave the apartment today, if you don't want to." he added.

I shook my head. We may have came to an understanding last night, but the hunter in me definitely didn't want to spend anymore time with him than I had to.

"Well, do you want to hang out with Alice today? Rosalie is grounded, so she is not available, but Alice and..."

"Alice is a baby, so no I'd rather not."

Edward got a little defensive, "She's not a baby."

"Dude, she was coloring and watching a cartoon the first time I met her. So excuse me for stating the obvious. "

He chuckled, "Have you ever colored? It's really quite relaxing."

I raised an eyebrow at him, "Do I look like I wear a bib?"

"She's not..." he stopped and sighed before leaving the room and coming back with a coloring book, crayons, markers, and color pencils.

I glared at him shaking my head, "Nuh uh! No way! I am not coloring."

"Isabella, just try it. If you don't like it then you don't have to anymore." He opened the book to a picture of a lion and set it in front of me. "Now while you color, I'll talk. You don't have to answer any questions if you don't want to. And if you feel uncomfortable, stop coloring and we'll do something else ok?"

I rolled my eyes but grabbed a gold color pencil out, "I can stop whenever I want right?"

"Yes." He answered. I nodded and started outlining the lion as dark as I could.

"Bella, what's your favorite color?"

I looked up at him but he pointed to the picture, so I continued coloring, "Blue... "

"Is there a favorite shade?"

I nodded, "Midnight. As dark as you can get before it turns black."

"Why?"

I shrug, "It's the night sky. Add a couple specks of the lightest blue and you got stars."

"So you like stars?"

"It's comforting, I guess."

"Why's that?"

I shake my head and he took that as a cue to ask another question, " Did you ever color when you were younger?"

"no. Too busy training."

"Not even when you were like 5?"

"No."

"Jasper said you held your own, when you did your workout."

I shrug, "I've been training for a long time. It takes a lot to wear me down."

"Do you like to workout?"

I thought about it as I grabbed a brown out of the colored pencils. " I guess."

"Would you like to have time in the gym, to exercise? I can arrange for that, especially if you want your own private session."

I looked at him but before he could point to my page again, I said, "Is their sessions for all the girls to work out together?"

He smiled, "Well, none of the girls actually like to work out, save a few. But some of us like our girls to be healthy, so they force their mates to work every once in a while. Though all of those are private sessions."

I looked down at the page, sighing.

"Hey," He lifted my chin with his finger, "What's wrong?"

I shook my head looking back down. He lifted it again, "If you don't tell me, I can't fix it."

"I just... what if..." I really had no way to put this. I didn't want to tip him off of my real plan, but I needed a way to keep these girls together. Save those that want to be saved and get the hell out of dodge. If I could train these girls, get them ready, everyone would be saved and I wouldn't have abandoned them.

"Come on Isabella, spit it out."

"Could I become a trainer?"

Bloodsucker looked absolutely surprised by my suggestion. He sat back in his chair, thinking about it. "Well, you'd probably be supervised for a long time, since your recent stunt..."

"I thought that after my spanking, everything is forgiven." I pointed out.

"But not forgotten..." He raised an eyebrow at me, "Besides why do you want to do this?"

I shrug, "It's something familiar. I don't like movies. I don't like people, especially demon loving robots..."

"Bella" he warned.

"Calling as I see it." I say starting my coloring again, "so training young people, to be the best, fastest and strongest... It'd be like... Like I was at home. Plus I'd like other mates to be able to give their bloodsuckers a run for their money."

He chuckled, "You know with that strain of thinking, their mates would never let them in your class. We already have our hands full with you. You were the closest anyone has ever gotten from escaping. Imagine an army of... Bella."

I looked up realizing this bloodsucker wasn't as stupid as looked. I knew he'd catch on. But that didn't stop him from asking. "Is that your plan?"

"No." I said staring into his eyes. There's more to it than that, so it was easy to lie.

He stared at me dubious, before saying, "I'll talk to Carlisle about it... but it will definitely be supervised. Take it or leave it."

I didn't respond before looking back at my finished my page. I picked it up, shocked that I did it in the first place. Edward smirked in his seat, "Isn't it relaxing? Makes conversation run smoothly. Alice was so shy when she got here, she refused to speak. Jasper found that if she was occupied she'd talk about pretty much anything. It made her feel comfortable. She even labels her pages sometimes, if she particularly liked a conversation, she would title the page after their topic and hang it on the fridge, to remember it."

He looked hopeful at me and I had no problem squandering it, by ripping the page in several pieces and throwing it down the garbage disposal and watching it shred every where. You may have got some information, bloodsucker, but it was what I wanted you to hear. What I knew would please you into slowly thinking you got to know me. You don't and you never will. Your in my palm, right where I want you to be. Right where you belong.
