One day in the Skylands, Spyro was resting in his room after coming back from training. He was trying to be the best Magic Skylander of them all. So far all he was getting was a headache. It was difficult, trying to train at the same time as Wash Buckler and Blast Zone. They kept switching and shouting orders to one another.
At the same time in Eruptor's room, he was sitting in his Corner of Shame after accidentally breaking Jet-vac's jet pack. They had tried (and then failed) to combine powers. No one else was in a very good mood either, mostly because Kaos was being evil. Again.
Kaos's mom saw how weak they all were. "Oh Kaos, come here please," she called to her son.
"Yes Mommy?" he asked.
"Get the nets ready. Meet me by our ships."
After preparing the ships, Kaos and his mom flew to Skylands, intent on capturing them all.
Stealth Elf was dashing around her room, trying to evade her new laser system. So far, she was winning. It hadn't been able to shot her yet. But as Stealth was running, she hadn't heard Flashwing opening up the door. The lasers sensed her.
"Huh?" Stealth said, seeing the system point somewhere else. "Flashwing!" she said, calling to her friend.
Flashwing saw Stealth Elf just before being zapped. After taking refuge with her, Flashwing asked, "Why do have a laser in here?"
"To practice my evasion skills." Then Stealth turned it off. "Why are you here?"
"To tell you bad news. I saw Kaos heading here!"
Stealth Elf ran out of her room to tell the other Skylanders, along with Flashwing.
Spyro was about to sleep, when a giant net captured him and put him to sleep. The other male Skylanders had a similar experience. Stealth Elf had managed to alert her fellow females, but Flashwing didn't quite make it to Eon. As she made it into his room, he was being lifted away.
"Master Eon!" she cried, trying to fly up and save him. She narrowly escaped being captured herself.
"Great. We missed one," Kaos said.
"I think she's the only one," his mom replied
When the boys finally woke up, Wash Buckler called a role call.
"Blast Zone?"
"Here."
"Fire Kraken?"
"Here."
"Smolderdash?" There was no response. "Okay then. Fryno?"
"Here."
"Eruptor?"
"Here."
Wash Buckler continued the role call, noting the females were all gone. "Spyro?" No one replied. "Spyro?" he repeated. Then Kaos's mom came into view.
"Don't you worry your slimy little self about Spyro. He's in good hands," she said, turning on a TV. Spyro was in electric shackles, hanging on a wall.
Everyone gasped at Spyro's state. "Why are you doing this to him?" Terrafin asked.
"Where are you keeping him?" Jet-vac ordered.
"I won't tell you that, but I will tell you this," she said. "If you try and escape, he gets shocked a little. If you escape, he gets a bigger shock. The more of you that escape, the worse he gets. After Spyro, Master Eon. Then we'll move on to Spyro's best friend. Got that?"
There was not a peep.
