Optic Light ~ Sequel (Three years later)
Its been 3 years since I met her, Hinata Hyuuga that is. I still remember what my first impression of her was, it wasn't so great to say the least. But god damn it I was wrong.
I would be lying if I said that the loss of my family still doesn't hurt me. If I said I still dont shed a tear every know and again in memory of my mother and father. That I still don't wish my brother was with me. Because I still do all those things. But I would also be lying if I said I was unhappy, because strange as it may seem I am actually very happy.
After going through all this stuff I learned some vital things. I learned that you cannot reverse death. I learned that there is no point In being depressed. And most importantly I learned to never take advantage of what you have, to hold and cherish those dear to you. Now me Sasuke Uchiha, you see I don't have many people that I would particularly say I 'Love' but the one person I do love. I will hold on to her. I will cherish her. I will love her. And I wont let her go… ever.
So that brings me to the mission at hand… literally
I am going to ask Hinata's hand in marriage.
I would have done it earlier, asked her to marry me I mean. But I didn't because I thought that maybe it was to fast for her. We have been dating for three years now. She is 21 and I am 22, recently I just graduated from university and I am currently working as the vice president in my fathers old company. Next year I will take over as the president, apparently my father had written in his will that he wanted me to have fun before I took over the position as president. Thanks dad.
Hinata is in her last year of university. She decided to pursue a career that in my opinion fits her perfectly. She has always been the gentle, patient and understanding kind perfect for her chosen career. Yes you guessed it she has chosen to become a teacher, specifically a infants teacher. She is great with kids after all, she will be a great mum… but first I need to ask her to marry me. jeez no pressure.
After some long taught Sasuke decided where he wanted to ask her. He wanted it to be perfect, not for himself more for her. He knew how she is always fawning over these fairytail weddings and sentimental proposals and the truth was Sasuke would be anything Hinata wanted.
But if there was one thing he loved about Hinata it was the fact that he didn't have to try to make Hinata love him. She just loved unconditionally and completely loved him and to be frank he didn't fucking understand why. But he wasn't complaining he got the girl of his dreams even if he didn't think he deserved her pureness.
Driving toward Hinata's university to pick her up he couldn't help but become nervous. Don't judge me okay? My entire life depends on her answer I have every right to be nervous!
Nearing the university building Sasuke noted his timid girlfriend waving to her college peers. Bringing the car to a halt next to her, Hinata gently opened the passenger side door and gracefully took her seat beside him.
Bending over to give her a kiss, she reacted warmly. Lips embracing for the millionth time the two parted.
"How was your day Sasuke kun?" Oh how he loved her gentle and warm voice.
"Hn it was fine hina, how was yours?" smiling at her nickname Hinata replied.
"Hai it was very good! I got to aid in a nursery today, the babies were so kawaii!" Slightly chuckling at her childish excitement. He continued to drive to his destination.
Before arriving there Sasuke took one hand off the gears and entwined his fingers with hers. Eyes still on the road he spoke.
"You know I love Hina, right?" Puzzled slightly Hinata smiled and replied
"Hai Sasu kun, and you know I love you too?" Chuckling once again Sasuke felt his heart speed, it would soon be time.
"Hai I do" Smiling hinata kissed his knuckles before he had to remove his hands in order to park the car.
Suddenly realising where they were Hinata questioned Sasuke's motives.
"Sasu kun, why are we at Konoha high?" smirking Sasuke turned to her
"That's a secret, just come with me" nodding her head Hinata obeyed
Walking hand in hand after Sasuke asked her to close her eyes, Sasuke led his petite girlfriend to the roof of their old high school.
He had chosen the roof of Konoha high as the place where he would propose to her.
Like he said Hinata was sentimental not extravagant. She would love something with meaning far more than a expensive restaurant.
He chose the roof of Konoha high because this is where they first bonded, and also where the two would often embrace and relax toghether once the two started dating. So it meant a lot to the two of them and it would only be fitting to propose to her here.
Slowly guiding his girlfriend, who still had her eyes closed, to the centre of the roof, He silently studied her.
Ever since high school she had grown her hair out. He liked it like that. She looked more ladylike and graceful than how he recalled her to be in high school. She was still far shorter than him.
As she got older she grew out of her hoodies and chucks and opted for more feminine clothing. Not to say it was sluttish or anything like that. Just more feminine, graceful and just plain beautiful. Although sometimes he wasn't sure if it was the clothing or her. Concluding it was the latter Sasuke moved his eyes to her lips. Yes by far his favourite physical part of her. How he loved her soft plump lips it's like he could never get enough of them.
Hinata's gentle voice awoke him from his thoughts.
"Sasu kun can I open my eyes now, it seems as though we have stopped moving?"
Smirking at how adorable she is, he answered her.
"Hai hime, you can open your eyes now"
Slowly opening her doe like eyes the timid Hyuuga gasped. There she stood. On the roof of her old high school. With the love of her life, surrounded by lavenders and roses (Her favourite flowers) and lit candles. 'Sasuke did all this! It's so pretty, why?'
"Sasuke kun you did all this by yourself?" Smiling a genuine smile Sasuke entwined their fingers and replied.
"Hai" continuing the smile, Sasuke did his best to hide how truly nervous he was. God could this get any more nerve wracking.
"I love it Sasu, but why?"
'Ok it is now or never get yourself together dude, ok mum, dad, brother, I hope you are up there looking down on me, I am about to ask the most important question of my life!'
Slowly disentangling his fingers from his loves, he bent down on one knee. Bringing the lavender coloured diamond ring from his pocket he held it in front of him, ignoring the gasp of shock from his girlfriend… and with any luck future fiancée he continued.
"Hinata Hyuuga, will you marry me… Please" Feeling slightly stupid for adding the please in to his proposal, he continued without letting her get a single word in. Too afraid that the single word she would say would be 'no'
"I love you Hina, always will. You are the reason I wake up every day. You're the sun in my world. Which is ironic because it is exactly what your name means… well what I mean to say is Hinata, babe you are a sun. Not just my sun, but I want you to be. My sun, I know I am being greedy but I can't help but want you, need you with me. I love you Hina, be my sun… marry me?"
Taking a deep breath from his long speech, he finally looked up to her face. The first thing that struck him was the fact that she was… crying!
Jumping up from his position on the ground, Sasuke gathered her tiny frame in his arms.
"Hina listen I am so sorry, if this isn't what you want it is okay. We can just stay the same. I am happy as long as we are together and your smiling, just please don't be sad and cry because of me"
Trying to hide the fact that his heart was being slowly crushed and shredded at her refusal, he still continued to calm her, because that is just how much he loves her.
Her sobs turned from sobs to giggles. Only adding to Sasuke's confusion.
After a few sniffles he felt her slowly pull out of his embrace. Her tear strained face tilted towards his, and her sparkly eyes locked with his.
"Silly Sasu, I am not crying because I am sad, I am crying because I am happy.
Slowly Sasuke felt his heart speed up as if it was running a marathon, now it was her turn not letting Sasuke get a word in.
"I love you so much words can't describe. And to hear you say that you never want to lose me, well it makes me happy because I know I never want to lose you. I have lost too many precious people in my life. And I plan on not losing any more. That includes you. So if you think I plan on not walking out of here as Sasuke Uchiha's fiancée you must be crazy"
By the time the timid Hyuuga soon to be Uchiha finished her speech a few more tears of happiness escaped her eyes.
A feeling of overwhelming happiness filled Sasuke's whole body. Still finding the need to clarify, just to make sure his ears weren't playing tricks on him.
"That means you will…?" tensing up slightly Sasuke awaited her answer
"Hai Sasuke kun, I will marry you" Suddenly all Sasuke could see was his beautiful fiancée right infront of him… His fiancée, Hinata his fiancée. Yes!
Suddenly Sasuke passionately kissed her. With all his force conveying his feelings towards her. Searching his pocket for the ring, he slipped the diamond on to her finger before lifting her off of the ground and spinning her around in excitement.
Giggling Hinata felt her entire body be twirled around by her fiancée. He was so excited just like a child. Although that was not to say she wasn't excited. If she could she would have lifted him too. Only thing is if she tried she would end up turning up to her own wedding as a pancake. So let's not try that. So instead she opted for trailing kissed all over his face. His forehead, his nose, his eyes, his ears and lastly his lips.
The two continued to hungrily kiss and embrace each other, while simultaneously the two had the same thoughts running through their head.
'Life is good'
