The events of last night played over and over in Loki's mind. From waking up in the middle of nowhere, to the hospital, and finally to arriving at Sage's house. He was eternally grateful to Sage for taking him in and caring for him. However Loki was still if not more confused about everything.

He knew a name...Loki...yes that was his name. There was no denying that fact. Yet, everything else was but a blur. His mind was a black sea of nothing when he tried to remember. He felt lost, he felt as though he were nothing, but more importantly...Loki felt completely and utterly lost.

He lay there on the couch and did his best not to think about what he dreamed last night. Did he have a mother? If so then what was she like? He pondered this thought for sometime. Finally the clock chimed bringing him from his thoughts.

Sage finally emerged from her bed at nine. She was still dressed in her pajamas she let out a long drawn out yawn. Her clothing consisted of checkerboard colored flannel bottoms with high top socks scrunched at her ankles. A hoodie that was at least two several sizes too big for her. He could tell that she had not completely awakened yet.

Loki was not sure if she had seen him so he continued to watch her. He was, however, certainly confused as to what she was wearing. She was she not a woman? Was she not supposed to be dressed in a nightgown or something pretty like that?

At last, he stood and followed her quietly keeping a gentlemanly distance. He silently watched her from afar only to clear his throat loudly.

"Good morning Lady Sage." He said softly for he did not wish to frighten her.

Sage jumped slightly and turned only to see Loki awake. Her eyes met his emerald ones and felt her cheeks warming up again. "Oh um hello-I mean good morning." She spoke softly as she started to fix her hair. She felt a sudden insecurity about how she woke up. yet he looked like one of those Disney Princes who wake up looking beautiful. "How did you sleep?" The kettle soon started screaming before being taken off of the fire.

Loki watched her prepare the tea. He smiled softly "I slept well Lady Sage. Thank you for asking." He spoke a lie and was so shocked at how easily the lie passed his lips. As if it had been his own breath leaving his body.

Sage blushed at the endearing term he had grown accustomed to calling her. She poured two cups of tea handing one to Loki. "It's Chamomile. It helps with pretty much everything." She softly sipped hers "you look like you need it." She could tell he hadn't slept very well. He already had signs of circles beneath his eyes.

Loki stared into the cup, the eyes of his reflection staring back at him. He hear a soft sound almost sounding like his name. Soon it became clearer "Loki?"

He looked up and saw Sage staring at him. "Loki are you alright?" She asked softly. Her eyes so full of concern for him. It warmed his heart that someone was concerned. It almost felt as though he longed for emotions such as that from others.

"I am alright." he smiled and lied again. He wasn't alright, then again, she probably knew that. "I just...so many thoughts in my head."

"Well I know one thing that might take your mind off of things." She said with a smile of her own.

"And what would that be?"

"You need new cloths."

~Meanwhile~

Thor was still plagued with grief whilst the Bifrost was being fixed. His mother Frigga had wept at the loss of her youngest, as for Odin, no one knew what he felt. He longed to bicker with his brother again. To watch him walk down the halls of Asgard with a book in his hand. He should have stuck up for him more. He should have been with him more. So many what ifs passed through his head. The way his mind was reacting it was as if Loki had died.

Today Thor went to Heimdall to ask him about the well being of his dearest Jane. "How does she fair Heimdall? I desire good news to lift my spirits from my grief." He spoke towards the giant gate keeper as he stood beside him.

"Then good news I have for you my prince. For your Jane is well and still searches for You. But, I also have news of someone that you care for. Your brother. He is alive." His deep voice rumbled within the space between the Prince and the gatekeeper.

"Loki?" Thor exclaimed "Where is he? I must find him!" Thor bellowed as he stared at the ever watchful keeper.

"I am afraid that is out of the question my prince. For the Bifrost is still in repair. And the state Loki is in, no doubt he would not wish to be seen." c

Thor was once again filled with sorrow. What had Heimdall meant when he said "the state Loki is in?" Why must Heimdall always be so cryptic?! It became very annoying on many occasions.

Was Loki injured? If he was Thor prayed he was in good hands.

~Back on Earth~

Sage sat outside the fitting room waiting on Loki to come out. This was the first outfit of a handful he would be trying on. She was curious to see what he would look like in normal clothing. Not that Loki didn't look attractive in the clothing she found him in. Sage shook her head, 'no you can not think that way.' she mentally scolded herself. Then again it did not help that Loki was a very attractive man. His gorgeous eyes and long fingers. 'NO NO NO! Stop it!' She sighed heavily and groaned as she ran her hands through her hair.

A few moments later, Loki emerged in a lovely emerald green button down shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows. Then there was the black skinny jeans he had tried on. Sage could hardly contain the smile of amusement on her face, all the while Loki's was twisted in pain. "No wonder the younger men all have frowns on their faces." He said wincing when he tried to sit down. The denim tightened and constricted around his sensitive manhood like a python. This in turn caused the raven haired man to groan in discomfort. How could the men who wore these pants stand them?! He Looked to Sage pleadingly as he sat there staring at her.

"Shall we lose these pants?" she asked trying very hard not to laugh. The last thing she wanted was to embarrass Loki.

Loki gave a slow nod of his head, "Yes. I think that is best." He stood up and felt the constriction of his manhood lessen and he all but bolted back into the dressing room. He came back out in some more comfortable form fitting black jeans. Less restricting this time. The well cut material formed around Loki's toned legs. The Emerald green button down now tucked in with the top button undone. His long graceful neck was so tantalizing. Once again Sage found herself drooling over the man.

"That color is beautiful on you," Sage said with a smile "That's very nice..." She spoke again but this time more to herself as she looked him up and down. She found it hard not to let the blush creep on her face.

"Is green a favorite of yours?" Loki looked down at her curiously. His voice had been soft but sultry. He hoped to see that red color return to settle upon her cheeks once again. It peeked out beneath her fair skin before turning into a gentle pink. Not prominent enough to be that beautiful shade of crimson, but knowing he could make it come back whenever he chose, it pleased him.

"It is one of them," she smiled again as her neck craned to look up into his eyes. She handed him a wool overcoat to war that was also black. To complete the outfit was a pair of ankle shoes. Now all the women in the store were staring at Loki. Some murmuring at how lucky Sage was. This made her blush even more. Loki watched as Sage bought him new clothes. Why had she done this?

The short drive was spent in a soft silence between the two. Some music playing low and barely audible. Loki continued to contemplate why this woman was being so kind to him. She took him in, fed him, gave him a bed and now was buying him clothes. Why? She didn't know him and yet she was doing it. Kindness...it felt so strange to him.

Once they had arrived at her home Sage placed the bags of cloths on the couch. Then, she went about making tea for them and lunch. Her phone had started buzzing on the counter, which she ignored, once having seen who was calling. She had become annoyed with Jane lately. "Did you have a nice time?" She called out over her shoulder to Loki only to see him looking at the books on her shelves. "You can read them if you like."

"I can?" He asked rather excitedly. He looked at her and then back to the books. Books...now there was something familiar to him. He loved to read, he remembered how he spent many times in a library of sorts. He would also read in a tower...where he could see the sunsets.

"Yes, go ahead, they need some love. No Jane I wasn't talking to you. I have a house guest. And no tell Darcy I am not sleeping with him! No he is just a friend." She said exasperated at the onslaught of questions. "No you can't come and meet him he's shy."

Shy? He felt something inwardly scoffing at the word. Shy?...That word seemed so foreign.

"No. Jane...Says the woman who sent me into the middle of a storm! I nearly got killed! No Jane no. I need a break. Im taking a leave of absence. Bye." Sage sighed heavily as she ended the phone call. "God that woman." She exclaimed softly as she began to get a headache. Something in Loki told him to go and help her. He walked up behind her quietly and placed his fingers at her temples. His fingers tingled as he started to massage her there.

He felt Sage instantly falling under his spell. She leaned back against him and sighed heavily. Her body was relaxing. How was he doing this? How?! It was so natural so...right. He let Sage fall into his arms and there he held her as she was almost in a hypnotic state. He sat with her on the couch as she relaxed. Her head pressed against his chest with his arms around her. His hand holding her arm as his thumb caressed her shoulder.

What had he done? More importantly..how had he done what he did?

Sage moaned as she slept and her face nuzzled itself just beneath his collar bone. He took a deep breath and let his head rest a top of hers. He let her rest while his mind continued to race with questions.
