Chapter 2

Father did not look surprised that the others were with me. "You foresaw this didn't you?"

He nodded before hugging me. "I missed you my daughter," he said.

"I missed you too father."

"And you said he was too old for us," Lauren yelled.

Both father and I looked at her. "I am Elrond, Lord of Rivendell. I believe you already know my daughter Isabella."

"Daughter?" everyone chorused.

"Yep," I said with a smile. "Welcome everyone, to Middle-earth."

Edward stepped forward and everyone turned to him waiting to see what he wanted. "Since you are her father," he started, "do I have your permission to marry your daughter?"

I rose an eyebrow incredulously. The girls on the other hand awed as if it was cute. Seriously? I asked myself. He's in another world and that's what he wants to know?

A chuckle from the shadows tore my gaze away from the insolent child standing in front of me. "I may not be her father," the shadow said. "But I know that it is impossible for you to marry her."

Edward's eyes went black with anger. "I didn't ask you." I gasped. How dare he snarl at Aragorn like that. "You can't tell me what I can and can't do."

Aragorn stepped out of the shadows with a smirk on his face. "Fine. But Elrond will tell you the same thing."

Edward looked at father again. "It's you decision sir," he said. "You do not need to listen to this man who does not know what he's talking about."

"How dare you command my father like that," I yelled. "And how dare you speak of Aragorn in such a way."

"It's okay sister," Aragorn said. "Let the insolent boy think what he wants to."

"But Aragorn-" I whined turning to him.

"You know you will never win in an argument with Aragorn my dear," a voice chuckled from the doorway.

I gasped as I turned to look. "Mithrandir," I laughed and ran to hug him.

He hugged me back. "I do believe that your father was about to speak when I interrupted."

I sighed and returned to my father's side.

"You see the colour of her eyes?" Father asked Edward.

"Yes they are a chocolate brown," he answered.

Aragorn and Gandalf snorted while father and I rolled our eyes.

"Have another look."

And so Edward did. And gasped at what he found. "Bella," he whispered in shock. "What have you done to your beautiful eyes?"

Father was about to answer when I heard a very familiar horse neigh through the open window. Looking out, I saw elves riding up the path towards the entrance of Rivendell. In the front of the group I saw one elf I so desperately wanted to see. I looked to father with a large smile on my face. He simply nodded to my unasked question. I squealed and ran out the door ignoring Aragorn's laughter as I left.

I watched as Bella ran from the room like a schoolgirl with a crush. I was about to fellow he when Elrond spoke from where he had moved to watch out the window.

"She has had the dark blue eyes birth," he said not looking at me. I moved to stand beside him and looked out the window myself to see a blonde elf dismount from a horse. "And she gained the light blue ring around the edge after her bonding."

"What is a bonding?" I asked looking at him.

He smiled while still looking out the window. I turned to look as well. What I saw was shocking. My Bella was running towards the dismounted elf with a large smile on her face. "A bonding," Elrond said as Bella crashed into the elf and he picked her up to spin her in circles. "Is the Elvish way of saying a marriage."

As the laughter of the two below reached my ears, I felt my heart break. And yet, I felt my determination rise as I knew that Bella was mine and not some elf's she probably has rarely seen. That blonde elf had better watch out because I am going to be getting my girl back no matter what.
