Author's Note: This is the bonus chapter everyone. Before you guys get to reading, I just want to thank you all for your support on this story. It took a little over a year to complete, but I think it was worth it. I hope you all enjoy this. I personally think this could've been better, but I'm sure you'll let me know.
I would like to thank Aurora Marie Williams for her idea for this chapter, and also for all of her help with helping me write this story. She's a terrific person, and I'm glad that she's helped with this. It makes it even more special to me because she was a part this.
Disclaimer: I do not own Teen Titans.
And for my last update of the year... Onto the show!
It was New Year's Eve, and the new couple found themselves in a little disagreement about what they should do for the end of the year celebration.
"Robin invited all Titans to their tower for New Year's Eve," Wally said, "I think we should go and have some fun."
"I would rather stay here," Jinx disagreed, "I doubt that I'll have a good time anyway."
"You won't know unless you go," Wally sighed.
"Does it really mean a lot to you if we go?" Jinx asked in a kinder tone.
"Yes Jinxie," Wally nodded, "It would make me very happy if we went."
Jinx looked into his hopeful eyes and groaned, "Fine, we'll go."
"Thank you," Wally kissed Jinx on her cheek, "I love you."
"I know," Jinx grinned ever so slightly, "I love you too."
"I'm going to go take Lucky to my aunt's house so that she could watch her," Wally spoke so quickly that Jinx could barely understand a word that he said, "Dogs don't like a bunch of noise, so I think we should have them watch her, so that she won't get scared."
"Okay," Jinx simply nodded to whatever it was he just said, "Don't go too fast, she's just a little puppy."
"Don't you worry," Wally smiled back to his girlfriend as he picked up their tiny pooch.
Wally left quickly, and left behind an area of empty space from where he had been seconds before. Jinx shook her head at how excited he was about going to this party function. She was glad that everyone had accepted her. Sure, there were a few awkward relationships between her and a few of the other Titans, but that was fine with her. As long as nobody hated her, she would survive.
"I'm back," Wally announced as he reappeared.
"I know," Jinx rolled her eyes at him, "It was peaceful when you were gone."
"That's so mean Jinxie," Wally whined and stuck his tongue out at her.
"Sorry," Jinx laughed, "I thought that's how I was supposed to answer."
After he looked at the clock which read 9:00, Wally cleared his throat and asked, "What time do you think we should leave?"
"I guess we could leave now," Jinx shrugged, "Maybe they'll have some stuff that we can do, like games or something."
"Ready?" Wally asked.
"Sure," Jinx shrugged again, "Let's go."
Thirty seconds later (Wally had stopped for a croissant) the two teens were in front of the tower.
"Do we knock?" Jinx asked curiously.
"Nah," the speedster waved off her question, "Why knock when you can go through walls?"
"Right," Jinx scoffed, "It won't be weird that you somehow got past their security systems or anything."
"I'm pretty sure Herald would just poof inside the tower," Wally rolled his eyes, "It's not like he'll just teleport to the front door and ring the doorbell or whatever."
"Fine," Jinx snapped, "It's getting cold out here, so just get us inside."
The two were in their hero uniforms. Wally didn't have a problem with the cold because of his fast metabolism, but Jinx on the other hand had less help in that department. Her uniform wasn't the warmest anyway, and she had forgotten to put her jacket on before they had left the apartment.
"Anything you want," Wally granted the girl's wish and one second later they were in the home of the original five Titans.
"Friends Kid Flash and Jinx have arrived!" Starfire cheered happily as she flew over to them and gave them her famous bone-crushing hugs.
"Whoa Star," Robin chuckled lightheartedly, "You might want to ease up on that hug of yours."
"Oh thank you for reminding me Boyfriend Robin," Starfire, "I am the sorry."
"It's fine Starfire," the sorceress and speedster both choked out.
"We have different things going on, so feel free to do whatever you want." Robin said as he gestured to the activities going on around them.
Jericho and Kole were in the corner playing the guitar and singing, respectively. Hot Spot, Speedy, and Herald were playing some videogames. Beast Boy and Raven were on the couch talking to each other. (It looked like Beast Boy was asking Raven if he could join in on the videogames if he was quiet.) Bumblebee and Cyborg were eating some barbeque and potato salad. Mas y Menos were playing with Silkie. Pantha was warming up for her next arm wrestling match with Cyborg which would start after he was done eating.
"I'm going to go grab some grub," Wally said to Jinx before he zipped off to the food table.
Jinx sighed and made her way to an empty spot on the couch next to Raven. Beast Boy had used his irresistible face (by shifting into an adorable kitten), and Raven gave in. He kissed her quickly, and went to the guys.
"I see you two are getting along nicely." Jinx smirked at the empath next to her.
"I could say the same about you and Kid Flash." Raven replied.
"Fine," Jinx rolled her eyes, "You win."
"I always do." Raven grinned just a tiny bit.
Jinx's eyes followed Raven's eyes to her boyfriend. She saw that he was stuffing his face with potato chips and guacamole. She smiled at how happy he looked.
"He forced you to come, didn't he?" Raven asked as she looked back at Jinx.
"More or less," Jinx murmured.
"It happens to me all the time." Raven nodded with understanding.
"Jinxie, you should try the hamburgers," Wally yelled across the room, "They're delicious."
"Cute nickname," Speedy laughed.
Jinx groaned at the speedster's outburst. She decided that she wanted to have a little bit of fun herself, so she sent a hex at the chip that the speedster was going to eat. It exploded in his face, and he got avocado all over his face. Everybody in the room chuckled at the boy's misfortune.
Cyborg finished eating, and then he made his way to the living room where Pantha was waiting for him. Everyone stopped what they were doing, and watched the two get ready. Bets were being called out (Speedy and Beast Boy for Cyborg and Bee and Kole for Pantha) and there were whispers of who was going to win.
"Are you ready to lose Cyborg," Pantha growled as she cracked her knuckles, "I am a champion."
"I wouldn't say all that yet girl," Cyborg smirked, "I am feeling confident today."
"Begin!" Robin called out to start the match, which was going to be the best 3 out of 5.
Jinx wasn't one for competitions like this, but she found herself interested. She scooted forward for a better view. She wanted Pantha to win to show the boys how things were done.
Wally was on the side where most of the boys were, cheering for Cyborg. He had to support his good pal. He was the most enthusiastic person in the room besides Starfire who was flying all over the room and cheering for "Friend Pantha".
Beads of sweat rolled down both of the competitors' faces. They looked like they were tied. They were in the same position for nearly twenty minutes. But then, Pantha started to push harder, growing a little more invigorated with each cheer. (Just like her matches in the ring) Then she roared, and found some hidden burst of strength from inside of her and slammed Cyborg's hand down on the table.
"Round 1 goes to Pantha!" Robin announced with a hint of irritation. (He was probably rooting for Cyborg.)
"Come on Cy!" Beast Boy yelled out.
"You got this man!" Hot Spot cheered.
"Cyborg, Cyborg," the boys started to chant.
"Pantha girl, you only got to win two more times." Bee happily informed the muscular female.
"We believe in you Friend Pantha," Starfire aggressively hurrahed.
"Pantha, Pantha," the girls applauded just as loud as the boys.
Cyborg and Pantha started the next round. With a newly found sense of confidence, Cyborg took control of the round. He quickly increased his amount of pressure and then he slammed Pantha's arm down onto the table.
"Round 2 goes to Cyborg!"
Pantha was not going to lose to the half metal man. She was not going to have that, so once the third round began, she was swift in her actions and slammed Cyborg's arm down before he had a chance to react. For the fourth round she let him use up his strength and push her arm down a little, but then she came back with a vengeance and his arm crashed down on the table so hard that it broke in half.
"Pantha is the winner!" Robin yelled.
Jinx smiled as the boys who lost the bet handed over their money. She felt even better when she saw Kid Flash's crestfallen expression. Sometimes it felt so good to be on the winning side.
"It's almost 11:00." Hot Spot grumbled.
"It's almost the midnight!" Starfire clapped her hands.
"Jinx," Kid Flash's voice brought Jinx back to reality, "Wanna do something?"
"Like what?" Jinx asked.
"What about we have our own little bet?" the speedster asked the pink-haired girl.
"Like what?" Jinx's eyebrow rose up in curiosity.
"If I beat you at the game they are playing, you have to do whatever I want, no matter how much you hate it, and if you win," Wally grinned as he held his hand out, "I do whatever you want."
"Deal," Jinx shook his hand.
"Everybody," the speedster shouted, "There shall be another competition between me and my beautiful girlfriend Jinx!'
"What are you two going to do?" Speedy asked curiously.
"We're going to have to interrupt your game fellas," Kid Flash informed the boys that were still playing the racing game.
"This I have got to see!" Herald said as he put the controller down.
"Fine," Hot Spot angrily threw his controller down onto the couch.
Jinx and Kid Flash made their way to the couch. Jinx knew that Wally had played this game before, but what he didn't know was that she played it when he wasn't home. He probably thought that she was terrible. Oh well, it wasn't like this was illegal, so why not? She would have her fun tonight!
The girls were behind her, and starting to cheer her on. She smiled and she looked over to her opponent. He returned the smile, and talked to some of the guys that were behind him.
"I would like to request a practice round," Jinx innocently asked.
"Of course," Wally eagerly replied, "I wouldn't want you to lose too badly."
"Thank you," Jinx responded as she started up a practice level.
She started off fairly well, but then she ran into obstacles and was driven off the road. The boys laughed about how easy it was going to be for Kid Flash to win.
"Are you sure you still want to play?" Wally asked her politely.
"I don't back down from a challenge," Jinx scoffed, "You are no different."
"Okay," Wally said, "Let's start now."
The two were neck to neck with each other. Jinx could tell that Wally was going easy on her, but she decided that she would show off some skill to her oblivious boyfriend. She grabbed power-ups that he didn't even know about and she gained momentum. Jinx actually enjoyed the game, and the thrill that it gave her. She was soon in the lead, but not by much. The boys were shocked at how well Jinx was doing.
"I guess I should play for real now," Wally said to her, "Shouldn't I?"
"If you want to win," Jinx replied.
They were right on each other's tails. Jinx would be in the lead, but then Wally would catch her. This continued until Jinx decided that things had gone on long enough. She ran Wally's car off the road, and she didn't know which was louder, the upset shouts from the boy's or the cheers from the girls.
"Good job," Wally congratulated her, "You must be a fast learner."
Jinx was about to say something before she was interrupted by Robin, "It's 11:55 everyone."
Everybody was getting ready for the fireworks show that Jump City had every year. Wally took her hand and led her to the roof. Everyone else followed them soon after.
"10," Robin called out.
"9," Beast Boy said.
"8," Starfire excitedly announced.
"7," Cyborg shouted.
"6," Raven quietly disclosed.
"5," Bee counted.
"4," Herald cooly joined in.
"3," Speedy shrugged.
"2," Kid Flash grinned.
"1," All of the Titans yelled. (Jericho held a finger up, representing one.)
"Happy New Year!" Everyone on the roof jubilantly cheered.
Wally took Jinx to a corner where nobody was at, and he smiled down at her.
"What are you going to make me do?" he asked.
"I haven't come up with anything yet," Jinx whispered quietly, "You can start by kissing me."
"I think I can manage." Wally replied by kissing her.
The two would've continued for much longer, but they weren't going to do that with everyone on the roof. They broke apart and looked into each other's eyes.
This was a new year. The New Year would hopefully bring even more greatness to their lives. Jinx smiled. She had started off by beginning a new life. Then a new family. Now she would start off her new year with her new love. She pulled Wally back for another kiss.
Fireworks were going off behind them. The beautiful colors lit up the sky. Jinx thought those fireworks were nice, but she liked the ones that she felt when she was with Wally better.
