sorry about the earlier complications this world f*€£ing hates me today.

Neal knocks on the door and Emma rushes to open it. "We don't talk about any of this mumbo jumbo until after we talk about what happened." Emma tells him straight up. "Why did you leave me to take the fall for you?"

Neal takes a deep breath and sits down on the couch. "Emma, I didn't want to leave you. I loved you and I still do. Once you remember it will all make since, a guy confronted me. He knew who I was and who my father was. He made me leave, so I jumped the boarder, I went to Canada." Neal tells her. "I never wanted to leave you. I feel awful for leaving you alone especially now that I know you were expecting. Emma, I promise you that one day this will make sense." He says.

"Why didn't you go to Tallahassee, after I got out of jail I waited there for you." I say almost in tears. "After I got out of jail and had Henry we went there to find you."

"Emma, I couldn't bring my world to you like that. If I would have known who you were I would have stayed. I wanted you to be normal but with you being the daughter if Snow White and Prince Charming, it changed everything." He says.

"We could have had a lifetime together. I need stopped loving you Neal."

"Then let me try something." Before Emma could think he lunged forward and his lips met Emma's once again. A tear falls down Emma's rosy cheek as her memories come flooding back to her.

"Neal," she says more kind and sweetly before kissing him again. "I can't believe it is you. What happened to the enchanted forest? I thought I would never see you again." Emma says trying not to cry any harder.

"It's hard to explain, but you must come with me to storybrooke, it doesn't look pretty." He says. "When we got back the land was different. A man known as Jefferson had taken charge of the castle in your parents absence. At first he was kind in letting them think they had their kingdom back." Neal says.

"Think? What happened?" Emma asks Neal. "Are they okay?"

"Emma, when I escaped they were sitting in the dungeon under the castle waiting for execution." Neal says.

"We have to go help them. We can't just leave them there." Emma says to him standing up.

"Emma, there is one more thing you should know." Neal says. Emma sits back down and looks at Neal. "There is something that you don't know about the day you were born." Neal say. "Jefferson was there the day you were born."

"Why was he there? Why did he do?" Emma asks him.

"He was there the day you were born because that was also the day he was born. This new information was brought to light and everyone was shocked. There was a woman that night in the castle. After your mother had you she passed out from the blood loss. Jefferson came quick, the woman delivered him and once your mother woke back up she left with Jefferson without anyone being the wiser."

"Mom," Henry says coming out of his room. "Dad?" He questions. "What are you doing here?"

"We are just talking, go back to bed kid, school tomorrow." Emma says to him.

"I'm on summer break." He reminds her.

"Henry just listen to your mother." Neal says. Henry rolls his eyes and goes back to his room. "He looks like he is doing good." Neal says to Emma once Henry's door close.

"He is like a normal teenager now. Plays video games, ignores me sometimes but a definite mamas boy." Emma tells him. "Neal I have missed you so much." Emma says to him. "I know it's been a year but these new memories make it feel like a life time." Neal kisses Emma again but more passionately this time. Emma kisses him back and he pushes her against the counter knocking glasses together. "Shh, Henry." Emma whispers laughing.

"You always have been the noisy one." Neal says putting his hands under her shirt and sits her up on the counter. Emma wraps her legs around Neal's waist and Neal picks her up. "Which one is your bedroom?"
