Hey! Sooooooo…. I've been gone for a pretty long while. Sorry about that! To make it up to you all, I'll be releasing an extra long chapter this week. I've finally sorted out my life so….yeah.

What happened previously…

A slumbering fox turned over in it's sleep and it's sleep filled voice was clearly heard by it's jailer.

Something big has happened and I feel you have changed the course of history. Forever. It can never be undone.

Naruto shrugged and said to himself, "I guess I'm getting really hungry. I guess I'll just ask Hokage-jiji to take me to the ramen stand after I ask him some things."

He continued on his way to the Hokage tower, not noticing the crimson eyes staring at him, almost as if they were judging his worth.

"WHAT?!" resounded through the empty streets. Anbu on patrol looked towards the Hokage tower in shock. A few lingering citizens hurriedly dove into their houses.

Weasel nodded and said, "Hai Hokage-sama. There is no doubt about it."

An old man leans his head back and slowly pulls out his pipe. "Are you absolutely sure?" he says.

Weasel nods once more and replies, "It is true. Uchiha-sama confirmed it during the clan head meeting."

"You know you don't need to keep up the persona here Itachi. Besides everyone knows who you are anyway."

"Hai Hokage-sama!"

"Well, does Naruto know?"

"I do not think he does."

"..."

"Yes?"

"Well-"

"HOKAGE-JIJI!" yelled a blonde haired boy who burst into the room, "I KNOW EVERYTHING!"

"Naruto?!" yelled the old man.

Weasel quietly states, "I will take my leave now," and disappears out of the window. Naruto and the Hokage don't seem to hear him leave or in that matter notice his presence at all.

Naruto stared intensely at the Hokage and said, "So who exactly is Minato?"

The Hokage said, "Minato was the Yondaime."

Naruto replied, "What's a Yondaime?"

"The Yondaime was my successor, the fifth Hokage."

"Then why isn't he here now?"

"Because he's dead. He died around the time you were born."

There was an awkward pause.

"So is he really my tou-san?"

"Naruto, I-"

"Save your excuses! I asked you if you knew who my parents were and you LIED to me! I BEGGED, I BEGGED you to let me live by myself, ANYWHERE, and not in that orphanage where they would TRY TO KILL me! And what did you do? YOU SENT ME BACK! I asked YOU for help. I put my TRUST in you and you DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING!"

"Naruto I'm so-"

Naruto slammed a seal down and yelled, "I'M TIRED OF THIS. I THOUGHT I COULD TRUST YOU! DO YOU KNOW HOW TIRING IT IS WHEN ALL ANYONE WANTS TO DO IS HURT YOU? DO YOU UNDERSTAND THE PAIN? DO YOU? DO YOU? WELL IT'S YOUR FAULT THAT I NEVER WAS ABLE TO AT LEAST PICTURE MY PARENTS. I THOUGHT I WAS ABANDONED. THAT NO ONE WANTED ME."

"Naruto...Your parents loved you very much."

"Hmph."

"Please listen to this regretful old man."

"..."

"I couldn't do anything to help you-"

"You're the Hokage," said Naruto bluntly.

"Yes, but-"

"And I was a Hokage's son." Naruto narrowed his eyes. "How come Konohamaru gets to enjoy a peaceful life. Am I not important as well?"

"Naruto. Your parents died to protect you."

"Look where that got me! How do I even know that they loved me? Did they even care?"

"Naruto, I-I didn't inform the village of your origins. I, felt it was best that they thought you were an orphan."

Tears streamed down Naruto's face, "Why?" he gasped in a painful choke.

The Hokage face seemed to age and he wearily looked down. "Your parents died to protect the village."

Naruto didn't answer as more tears flowed down his face.

The Hokage continued, "They needed to defeat the Kyuubi, a giant nine-tailed chakra monster. However, there wasn't anything they could do they defeat such a creature except to seal it into a newborn baby. Naruto, the seal cost them their lives. Minato gave up his life to seal the Kyuubi into the baby and your kaa-san, Kushina, was killed protecting him."

Naruto shakingly asked, "Who was the baby?"

The Hokage looked up and thought, Am I doing the right thing? Does he need to have such a burden on his back at this young age?

He sighed and looked Naruto straight in the eye and said, "The only baby born on October 10th was you."

Shikamaru woke up to a dark room. It seems as if the sun has gone down. I hope father's meeting has finished. I was still awake during it. He quickly glanced around his room. Where's Naruto? He gently pushed Ino awake and poked Chouji. Ino woke up with a startled gasp, but Chouji rolled over. Ino grunted as she was squashed underneath Chouji. She glared at Shikamaru and seemed to be saying "This is all your fault".

Shikamaru hurriedly muttered, "Troublesome" and tried to pull Chouji off Ino. He failed. This continued for a very long time with Ino glaring at Shikamaru while simultaneously seeming to die and Shikamaru muttering troublesome and failing to pull Chouji off, until…

"CHO-CHAN! WE'RE GETTING READY TO LEAVE. DO YOU WANT TO CARRY THE LEFTOVER COOKIES I BROUGHT WITH ME?"

Chouji immediately rolled off of Shikamaru's bed and raced downstairs, leaving Ino gasping for air and Shikamaru flat on the floor.

"Hey Shika-chan! I'm looking for Naru-chan? Do you know where she is?" asked Yoshino as she suddenly appeared in the doorway.

"No mother, I haven't seen HIM" said Shikamaru as he lay on the floor, "Naruto's not a girl, he's a boy!"

Ino perked up suddenly, "I think he makes a really cute girl. SO CUTE!"

Ino and Yoshino suddenly disappear into a happy dream world with Naruto dressed up in cute dresses and skirts.

Shikamaru shuddered and hurriedly raced out the room. So troublesome. He found Chouji with his parents and Ino's parents. He asked Inouchi-san, "Do you know where tou-san is?"

Inouchi replied, "He's taking Fugaku back to the Uchiha land. Why?"

"Well I can't find Naruto and I thought that tou-san would know since he came downstairs to get some water."

"WHAT?!"

"He came downstairs to get some water."

"Was it just recently or-"

"No. It was about forty minutes ago. Why?"

"I think we may have just informed Naruto of who he really is."

"The son of the Yondaime or as the jinchuuriki?"

"HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT!?"

Shikamaru looked at Inouchi and said, "It wasn't that hard anyway."

Chouji piped in, "Yep! Shikamaru told us his theories and it wasn't until we heard parts of your meeting that we pieced it all together."

The adults worriedly looked at each other before-

"It's not like he's any different now. He's still Naruto" interrupted Ino.

"Yeah! He's still our friend Naruto!" chirped Chouji before going back to eating his kaa-san's cookies.

"Still the troublesome blonde," grumbled Shikamaru.

"That's very touching in all, but I need to take you to the Hokage," interjected Inu. "You have discovered a SS class secret and that is punishable by death."

Shikamaru, Chouji and Ino were whisked away before their parents could do anything about it.

Those kids are extremely clever. They will make fine recruits and also fine bait for the fox.

Sarutobi you fool.

"Danzo-sama, I have brought them," said an Anbu member.

"Good. Put them in the training facility," said Danzo, "Let's see how they turn out."

"Hai!"

I wonder where the fox brat is right now. No need to rush. I have all the time I need. You may be the leaves that bathe in the sun, but I- I am the roots that grow in the dark.

OMAKE:

Itachi bounded through the trees trying to get home before his kaa-san bugs him about where he's been all day. It's hard for him trying to do Anbu duties, be a good older brother, be a good chunin and suffer through puberty. That wretched thing. Just the other day, he was giving his mission report when his voice cracked. CRACKED! In public. He felt as if he would die, but Uchiha's never show their emotions in public so he didn't shunshin away and go cry on top of Hokage Mountain. He honestly didn't. Honest!
