Hey ya'll, if anyone is still reading this. I know I promised I wouldn't drop this and I never meant to. Life got in the way and I felt like I had to research Naruto to make sure the chapters were good. And then tonight I just realized... why was I waiting? So I wrote out a last chapter and the end.
I put more info about my original plan in the bottom note.
Tear streaks trailed down pale cheeks. Lips trembled in agonizing sadness and fear. The soft tapping of her sandals hitting tree branches as she jumped from one to the next was the only sound in the forest.
They were dead. Both of them. She had watched Hidan's death with her own eyes unable to do anything. She hadn't seen kakuzu's, but considering she had seen the other leaf shinobi alive, she didn't think he had made it. She had been running for days, fearful that they would find her.
What would she do? She was a missing nin, only affiliated with Hidan, not with Akatsuki. She didn't even know where any of their bases were. Not that she would join those heathens.
She let out a hiss as she stumbled, sending shooting pain up her leg as she stopped, the momentum she was going at nearly toppling her out of the tree.
She just stood there for a moment, hand subconsciously gliding over her necklace. "Jashin-sama." Without another moment's hesitation she turned back around and sped off, ignoring the pain from her ankle.
She would not abandon an immortal jashinist. Not Hidan. She knew where he was buried, the only person other than that Nara kid. This would be her act of service to Jashin. She would return his most faithful servant to the world so that he could continue his sacrifices. Even if it killed her.

By the time she had made it back to the location, a week had already passed since Hidan's burial. She had been cautious, hiding her presence expertly. She was not spotted. It seemed that Jashin was on her side tonight.
Using only the smallest amount of chakra so as not to signal anyone, she began the tedious process of digging. As the light of the moon hit his face, Hidan's head began to curse.
Anna smiled fondly as she pulled him out, piece by piece asking him to be silent as she worked on stitching him together. Her stitch job was mediocre at best, but it would have to do.
"Where the fucks Kakuzu?" Hidan growled, flinching each time the needle entered his skin.
"Dead" was her only response.
"Fuck" he hissed, testing out his newly connected hand. It wasn't responding well. He would need a sacrifice soon if he didn't want to just fall apart at the literal seams. "No wonder it took so fucking long."
She only nodded solemnly, making Hidan frown. "Oi, did you bring a sacrifice with you by chance? I'm going to need it."
She nodded again as she attached his right foot.
"Where is it then?" he asked, surprisingly without a curse as he started connecting the dots. Fuck.
She smiled sadly, finally meeting his eyes as she finished stitching his other hand and offer him her kunai, already drenched in her blood as she split the skin of her palm with it. "I would be happy, as a loyal Jashinist, to meet Him. I humbly offer myself as a sacrifice for Him and his immortal priest."
Hidan cursed under his breath. "Fucking bitch. Your really doing to do that to me? Tsk. Jashin-sama will be glad to meet you in death," he decided as his legs moved sloppily in the familiar motion of a circle and triangle.
She gasped out, blood coating her lips as the kunai met Hidan's chest. Her world tilted around her and she fell on her back.
The last thing she saw before closing her eyes was the full moon. It was so similar to when they had first met and she smiles as she reminisce on their short time together.
So this was always my original plan for the story. When I make a story I normally think of a beginning and end and then figure out what happens in the middle later. I wanted it to be short and not really sweet. I wanted the OC to die at the hands her lover.
I feel disappointed it the end result though. I feel like if I took time and really wrote it all out, it would be better, but I know that if I kept telling myself "I'll work on it later" it just would never happen.
The only difference is that I didn't add anything of the middle of the story. I had even thought about expanding the story and adding more of anna's changes between the 2nd and 3rd chapter. My notes for that were along the lines of "They travel for a while and Anna begins to fall for Hidan more and more despite his brutality. But she notices that despite being able to kill, she often hesitates… this is not something a true Jashinist should do. She realizes this. Hidan keeps her safe and seems to like her as well. Not being immortal though, she doesn't quite understand how he would get such pleasure from hurting himself to kill others."
There was also going to be a chapter describing what happened during that last fight where Hidan is buried and Kakuzu dies, but I didn't write it because this chapter was a spur of the moment thing. Here's my notes for it, maybe one day I'll write it... who knows. "Hidan protects her from the first attack and since she does not appear to be a threat they don't concentrate too much on her. When Hidan is led away she slips away and follows. She screams when she sees the explosive tags around Hidan. He sees her and tells her to get back. She doesn't listen and tries to get to Hidan but is pulled back by Shikamaru "Hidan!" she tries to fight against Shikamaru's grip. She falls to the earth where Hidan was buried and tries to dig but is unsuccessful as Shikamaru glares down at her. He thinks she's ruined and wont leave but suddenly she jumps away knowing she needs to get as far away as possible. Shikamaru gives chase but is exhausted and doesn't get to her."
Let me know what you think of the ending!
