Final A/N: Okay, this is not a chapter and I don't want people to get mad at me for suddenly making them excited. However, I just wanted to state that there will be a sequel (because I keep getting messages asking me if there will be one). Yes, despite very much hating sequels and intending not to do another TVD fanfic, I am not mean enough to leave you with Elena being held in some weird cabin having needles stuck in her. Plus writing fanfiction is cheaper than therapy so you all get to watch me use my negative emotions as fodder for my stories. Please don't be mean to me.

If you are quite happy with Elena's current position, than obviously you do not need to check out the sequel but for those who want more of my twisted take on the originals (and possibly an actually happy ending this time around), then check out 'Sins of the Mother' (please note that as i post this little note, i have only just posted the first chapter of the sequel so it may not be live yet). I also cannot guarantee that it will actually be updated regularly and that it won't take me another three to four years to finish it.
