Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto, This applies to the whole story.

Take a deep breath.

Let it out.

Breathe.

Relax.

The actions repeated constantly, she was going through the motions. Not really feeling, not really seeing.

She was just there. But to him, she wasn't just there. She was with him. And that's all he needed.

He didn't realize she wasn't his. Well, not at first.

It had been a gradual decline. Instead of saying, "Yes," or, "No."

It was a nod and a shake of the head. Instead of saying, "I love you." It was, "I love you too."

Did she really love him? Or was she just saying she did because he said he had loved her?

He needed answers. He needed to know the truth. He needed to understand why.

His head wouldn't stop pounding until he got what he needed.

"Why?" He asked her. She just stared blankly.

"Why what?" Was her response. Dull as ever.

Take a deep breath.

Let it out.

Breathe.

Relax.

The actions were nothing new to her. They had been repeated a dozen times. They weren't actions, they were her.

She felt nothing. She was empty, an object worth nothing.

She was hollow as could be.

She wasn't anyone's, not even his.

It wasn't gradual, it was instant. She had just hidden it better at first.

She made sure to tell him things were perfect, and that she loved him.

But she'd gotten tired. Instead of, "Extra sugar." It was, "You decide."

Instead of, "Purple." It was, "Surprise me."

Did she still feel? Or was she simply pretending in a feeble attempt to bring back lost emotion?

She didn't get it. When had the color faded? When had she become so numb?

Her mind couldn't comprehend it, and neither could her heart.

"Why?" He asked her, seemingly randomly.

"Why what?" She asked, void of everything.

"Why did you stop feeling?" He asked, hurt.

She was a little surprised. He'd actually noticed?

She sighed before answering, "I wish I could tell you. But I myself don't know."

She could see him clench his fist. He appeared upset.

"Hinata, what's wrong?" He asked another question. He had always been a curious boy.

"I don't know."

He took a deep breath before relaxing a bit.

The cold air was biting at him. The wind seemed to howl along with his confusion.

"So, you—you uh, don't know?"

"Unfortunately." Hinata replied. He seemed to relax even more with this answer.

He took comfort in the fact that he wasn't the only one confused.

"How do you feel? Do you feel anything?" The male asked once more.

Hinata mused over her answer. How did she feel? She knew she was numb, but what else?

"Numb. But I feel other things too. They just aren't as strong as they used to be." The Hyuuga answered again.

"Okay, we're getting somewhere." And with that, Naruto smiled one of his big, bright smiles.

She felt something tug at her heart. Maybe he could help her feel again. Maybe he was the answer to this equation that only Einstein seemed to be able to answer.

They were getting somewhere, and that was more than enough for her.

So this is my first time writing a one shot, what do you think? If you want me to continue please let me know. I'll Definitely consider it.
