Check187: Umm... hi everybody. ... um... um... um...

On with the fic...

Missions are boring?

Anko was having a slow day. She was sitting on a corpse of a rebel contemplating on what she could do to pass the time. This mission was boring. Find and infiltrate the base camp of a band of insurgents, intorturate, I mean interrogate and yadda yadda yadda.

She looked at another corpse on the floor and decided to wake up the shinobi beside it. Slapping the shinobi awake, she thought she saw something yellow that happened to remind her about... she shook her head. Now was not the time.

"So. You wanna tell me now?" Anko asked as she placed the heel of her foot on his wrist.

"I... won't... Ahhh!" He screamed in pain as she twisted and evidently broke his wrist.

"You're buddies didn't last long. Matter of fact, the only ones left are you and that guy by the tree, " Anko said as she pointed at another shinobi sitting against the tree, lets call him shinobi number 2.

The shinobi currently awake looked at his comrade to see he had several bruises and cuts on his face. He tried to move but the woman in front of him was currently stepping on his hand. She lifted him up and put him against the tree facing away from shinobi number 2. She knew he was weak, the easiest to influence, so she was going to focus on his will and evidently break it. She tied him up and began walking towards shinobi number 2.

"W-Where am I? Wha-" shinobi number 2 said now waking up. He was cut off by a fist courtesy of Anko. Meanwhile the other shinobi could only listen as he made an attempt to escape. Anko didn't mind getting her hands dirty and she was a little upset at how boring the mission had been so far. This was her favorite part so she would make the most of it

Punch after punch, the shinobi that was not being harmed was getting more anxious. When he couldn't hear any thing else, he got worried. He knew she was done punching his friend so her next target would be him. It had been so quiet. She had startled him as she walked past his side. Her hands were all bloody; none of it was hers. He heard a groan behind him. His comrade wasn't dead.

She slapped his chin up to gain his attention.

"I need a location and it better be the same fucking spot your buddy points to," she said holding up a map.

"I ain't telling you shit," he said with a shaky voice. She nodded a little as if truly understanding him. She took out a kunai and stabbed his knee. She began grinding the blade against his bone. While he screamed in agony, any will he had left was vanishing.

"The location... now! Or I'll pop your knee off. Whatever works for you, " she said as she proceeded to grind the kunai against his bone going towards his kneecap.

"It's there," he said quietly and quickly with a strained voice. She lifted a map up and placed the kunai in his mouth, the same kunai she had stabbed his knee with.

"Mark it," She demanded and so he did. He spat out the kunai and looked at her eyes. She seemed almost satisfied.

"Y-you can check it- you can verify it with him. He'll tell you. I ain't lying," he said with a shaky voice as he then hung his head low. He had just betrayed them, his comrades, marking a map with his own blood. He was ashamed, but he was scared for his life and the pain was too much for him. He had no other choice.

Anko grabbed the kunai and sliced his jugular with no remorse. Then she began walking towards the last remaining shinobi. Shinobi number 2. The unfortunate shinobi was panicking.

"Hey he told you what you wanted! I ain't telling you shit," he said obviously scared.

'They all kinda sound the same, go figure, ' she thought with a shrug.

"That's ok. I believe him," she said as she began approaching him.

"No wait. Wait-" his please were unanswered as she threw her kunai right between his eyes from three feet away.

With Naruto...

Having no plans for the day, Naruto decided to sleep in. There was no mission, no team meeting, and nothing to do. After what had happened the day before, he would rather sleep in. A knock at the door wouldn't let that happen.

"Uggh," he groaned as he got up from his bed.

He opened the door.

"What?" He said slightly groggy.

"Well hi to you too, uggh this is such a drag," said the infamous Shikamaru.

"What's up Shikamaru," Naruto responded.

"We have mission together. I gotta go pick up Chogi, so you can pick up Ino," Shikamaru said lazily.

"Wait! How is that fair? " Naruto exclaimed making Shikamaru wince. He hoped Naruto wouldn't have found out. Now he was suffering the consequences by Naruto's shrill annoying whiny voice.

"Look we can do this the easy way or the hard way, " Shikamaru bargained.

"The hard way, " Naruto said nonchalantly. He always liked a challenge even if he was tired.

"Good then go pick up Ino. I'll see you in front if the hokage tower," Shikamaru said ending the conversation and leaving.

"Ah-... son of a bitch," Naruto cursed. He was about to protest, but Shikamaru had disappeared. Well it was no use arguing, especially with no one to argue with. So instead he got ready for his mission.

As soon as he got dressed he walked towards the Yamanaka flower shop. Upon arriving at the shop he saw Sakura coming out.

"H-hey," he greeted nervously scratching the back of his head.

"Hi," she said cheerfully as she walked past him. She looked backed and winked as she turned the corner of the street. Naruto blushed until he realized where he was.

Dread suddenly filled the pit of his stomach. What could she have told Ino? What would they talk about? Were they talking about him? And almost as if on cue, the very devi- ... *ahem* the very person he happened to be thinking about stepped up behind him.

"Hey Naruto," She said smugly.

"Eheheh Hi Ino," Naruto replied nervously not turning around.

"SOooo~. What have you been up to?" Ino asked with a cat like expression on her face.

"Ummm we have a mission together," Naruto said completely draining the happy expression on her face.

"What?" She said slumping her shoulders.

"Yeah Choji and Shikamaru are probably waiting for us at the Hokage tower," Naruto said shrugging and still not looking directly at Ino.

"Uggh another mission..." Ino complained. Things were just getting interesting and now she had to go on a mission. It was a little strange that Naruto was the center of her attention, but he had more than proven himself and gossip was gossip.

"Well lets get going," He said putting both hands behind his head as he began walking towards the tower.

With Sakura...

She had turned on the street corner and leaned her back against the wall. She couldn't believe how bold she was just then. Her heart was racing. She had told Ino about her feelings for Naruto. She wasn't sure if it was the best idea, but Ino was surprisingly very understanding about it instead of being her usual haughty and obnoxious self. Sakura assumed it was because now there wouldn't be much competition for the affections of a brooding Uchiha, but she was mistaken as Ino had surprised her again by saying she wasn't interested in him anymore.

She wanted to spend time with Naruto, but she liked being chased. She was sure that he would run after her, but when she looked around the corner she saw Naruto and Ino walking away.

Confused and slightly agitated, she followed them towards the Hokage tower. There she saw Shikamaru and Choji and figured he had a mission to complete. She sighed. She really wanted to spend time with Naruto and was very disappointed when she found out she couldn't.

'It's not fair,' She thought with a pout and puffed up cheeks. She walked away with slumped shoulders.

With Anko...

The mission was over. All she needed to do was write her report and turn it in.

'Uggh stupid paper work...' She thought as she sighed. This was probably the most boring part of the mission. Even though it was completed, the mission wasn't officially over until she turned in her report.

As she walked home, she looked to her side and saw a pair of blondes. She could probably do her report while on the move. She didn't have to go home. Right?

'Yeah, I'll just write the report right now. hmmm... looks like they're going to the Hokage tower,' she thought mischievously. She took out a form and began writing her report as she hopped from rooftop to rooftop occasionally taking side glances at the pair.

"Hey Shikamaruuuu~" Anko heard the girl yell from a far as they approached the Hokage tower.

'A mission huh,' she assumed while hoping it wasn't out of the village.

They seemed to be stopping, so she took her chance to write her report quickly on the ground. As she finished her report she dropped down to ground floor. The little gaki seemed to take notice of her, instantly making her gain a wicked grin. Dread filled Naruto's body as she approached them.

"Hello gaki," She said eagerly. Naruto had taken the time to seek cover behind Shikamaru.

"Hey got off me," Shikamaru said with irritation as he shook Naruto off his shoulders.

"Ah um... Hi Anko-sensei," Naruto greeted from behind Shikamaru gaining a couple of stares from his friends.

"So what are you guys doing?" Anko asked still smirking.

"We're about to do a mission. Some lady wants us to help her with her farming," Ino said slightly annoyed with the fact that she had to touch gross animals.

"Oh still doing D-ranked missions huh? Sucks to be you," She said with a gleam in her eye while the others gained an annoyed expression.

"What a drag," Shikamaru said scratching the back of his head.

"I hear ya. I gotta go finish some business here so until next time brats," Anko said while going inside the tower.

"That was... different?" Ino said rather confused and slightly irritated.

"Well let's get this mission over with," Naruto said in a relieved yet slightly disappointed tone. Relieved that Anko didn't do much this time, and disappointed that he still had a boring mission to complete. At least things were calming down for the moment.

Shikamaru was a little skeptical about Naruto's relationship with Anko, but decided it would be to troublesome to actually get into it. Just do the stupid mission and get it over with, that was his goal at least for the moment. Was it so wrong to just lay down and do nothing for the whole day? Was it? No nagging mom, annoying blonde teammates, or anything ... troublesome. Just peace and quiet with the company of his best friend. But alas, things don't usually go that way.

"HEY! STUPID! Don't ignore me!" Ino yelled.

"What a drag," Shikamaru said stinking his pinkie in his ear.

"What did you say?" Ino said, arms trembling and effectively scaring Shikamaru.

With Anko...

These brats were kinda funny. The girl was a feisty one, the other two completely whipped. Naruto was her fun. She just needed to wait until he got separated from those other brats, much like the way a predator stalks it's prey. Of course she would find a way to speed up the process. This was always somehow exciting to her.

"Hey put your back into it," A lady said as she pointed at Shikamaru.

"Hai Misses Torino," Shikamaru replied in a monotone voice muttering something about nagging old hags.

Anko giggled a little as she searched for her prey-... for Naruto. And there he was, taking a break by the well, drenched in sweat. He took off his Jacket and tied it around his waist. His muscle shirt clung tightly to his body while he drank from the palm of his hand. Some of the water would slowly drip and slide down his jaw and his neck until it reached his chest. This gave Anko a little bit of cause for concern as she noticed Ino taking notice of Naruto.

"Hey you in the orange! If your done with the watermelon patch, I need you in the corn fields," Mrs. Torino shouted while pointing towards the cornfields.

'The perfect opportunity'

End... for now.
