A Month Later
Hashirama received a call from the Shodai Raikage, presumably about a request to visit Konoha in order to further ties between their villages.
"Right, we'll discuss about potential areas for co-operation when concerning the Hidden Rain's brewing instability and about the newly agreed borders. We're very happy with the settlement we've reached and we hope you are too," the Raikage spoke from the other end of the phone.
"Me too! It's a pleasure communicating with you Raikage-dono," Hashirama nodded happily.
"Also… my daughter's in need of a husband. I am told by various sources that you are indeed a fine matchmaker," the man ventured from the other side, his voice bearing all signs of pleading. "Not to mention it would strengthen the connection between our villages."
"Oh don't worry, I'm on it!" Hashirama declared confidently. "In fact, I think I have just the right person in mind. He might have met your daughter before, though perhaps not under the most fortuitous circumstances… But have no fear, Hashirama is here!"
As they both hung up, Hashirama mused to himself jovially.
Toka and Izuna? Tick.
His emotionally, romantically inhibited younger brother and Naori Uchiha of all people? Tick.
He was so up to another challenge.
A/N: Aaaaannddddd so ends one of my long-standing stories on . Feeling kinda emotional about this :(
When I first started writing this, I thought it would be a short, brief mini fic. I had initially wanted to end it after twenty chapters or so and now we have two fics and almost 100 chapters spanning the works. Not to mention the delightful special editions :P
To everyone who reviewed, favourited or followed this fanfic, thank you so much. You have no idea how much your encouragement or constructive criticism or simply comments of amusement made my days.
Given that I'll also be heading off to university soon, this definitely feels like the end of a part of my life. But I'll still be around fanfiction and I'll be absolutely thrilled if any of you check out and review my other stories :)
