Thanks to all who are reading & enjoying this. All other stories will be undated as soon as possible as they require more thought & longer chapters….and an occasional break for the muse (& author). ;)

Ch. 5 Great Time
Kagome remained rooted to the spot as he initially ignored her, growled at her presence, then began to insult her.
She almost laughed.

The day was beginning to wear on her. She sat quietly as the god of thunder had swaggered in. Seeing Jane's face light up, the miko couldn't help but feel happy for her, she only hoped he would not hurt her in any way.
"I am honored to meet you Lady Kagome," he offered while taking her hand gallantly and kissing it.
Kagome could only offer a small smile in embarrassment as she was not used to being treated so well from her previous 'male' companions. Inuyasha hardly ever even called her by her name.
"This is Thor Kagome. The guy I've been telling you about," Jane added while holding on to the arm of said male.
"Only good things I hope," the blonde man offered looking over to his beloved.
They continued their polite conversation occasionally offering Kagome a tale or two of their exploits as she was quite curious. She had only heard some of what had occurred from Souta, nevertheless hearing it first hand made all the difference. All of her exploits had happened in another time, another era, however theirs had occurred in this time, in a very populated and popular city. It was quite exciting and even a little scary hearing all of the details so she was only too glad the Avengers had decided to work together even with all of their egos getting in the way. Thor's story of Jane and their adventure on his planet was also extraordinary. Why the rest of the Avengers didn't help Thor or Loki in this instance, she would never know as she thought it too rude to ask.
Nevertheless, maybe she could get more information about the other demi god? The 'bad guy' in all of this?
The priestess tried steering the conversation in that direction, asking a question here or there about the situation they now found themselves in, with them both being on earth and Loki's punishment and such, however Jane always seemed to interrupt as if not wanting to discuss such things with her.
They were friends, and had been for many years, yet now, she was beginning to think that Jane was treating her like some young and ignorant Japanese woman. Americans did think themselves superior sometimes.
From what she gathered during their conversation, and before they parted as the day had grown late, Kagome could only think that this Loki guy was just misunderstood. He was the younger of the two just like Inuyasha had been -and the hanyou had an inferiority complex when compared with his older stronger brother Sesshoumaru- and apparently he was also not the true son of the people he thought to be his parents.
Things to think about as she was escorted back to her room by Jane.
"So what do you think about him?" Jane asked candidly and expectantly as Kagome was about to enter her room.
"Well…he seems very kind and honorable," she began carefully.
But he also seems interested in himself and his many adventures as they dominated a large part of our earlier conversation.
"And he truly seems to care about you Jane," she added.
I could feel it and see it in his eyes, but how come he only came back to you after Loki attacked earth & then only after you were in mortal danger and had some galactic thing inserted in you?
"Plus he looks as if he cares about earth and his brother."
Even if he took a very long time to come back and only did once Loki was trying to kill everything and everyone on earth. But hey….no ones perfect right?
"He does seem great Jane and I'm very happy for you."
Seeming to pacify her thoughts, they hugged goodnight and the woman continued on her way. Looking back over her shoulder she added as an afterthought, "Someone will come to get you for breakfast tomorrow morning."
In other words she was going to be escorted.
Kagome rolled her eyes and decided then and there that she was going out before sunrise and this time she would find him.

As she stood before Loki's no doubt enhanced and updated 'enclosure,' otherwise known as his holding cell, she nearly laughed as it took him sometime to detect her presence.
Then after seeing him try to hide his surprise, he quickly covered it with his annoyance.
"Oh, this has been done before. Only it seems you are better at hiding from me than your previous counterpart. How interesting."
When she said nothing he continued. "You will not get anything from me this time, that trick can only be done once." He eyed her angrily, his dark hair contrasting with his white skin.
There was no answer from her so he added. "Are you here then to remain quiet? Is this your game? To get me to grow so tired of you that I give myself away? You're human capabilities are quite useless and insignificant when compared to my greatness."
"Is that why you're in a the same cage you were in the last time you were captured?" the miko finally spoke up, though with a bit of humor to her voice. Of course she had heard the tale from Thor himself and how he had been tricked and had nearly perished in the same contraption originally made to hold the hulk.
He eyed her indifferently as she began to walk toward his see-through container. She couldn't help but feel a little pitter patter of excitement go through her at his nearness.
This was just all so exciting.
"Yes, however it seems this has been altered," he offered while holding a hand up toward the glass and seeing a sizzle of a blue electrical current stretch out over the entire area.
"Even for one such as me, with my cursed existence on this planet as punishment."
As Kagome was about to answer she caught an interesting sentence he rambled under his breath about simple pathetic humans. The miko could only giggle at his small tirade, for if it were Sesshoumaru he would have followed that with a scathing remark about hanyou and then an assault with his powerful sword.
"They can be quiet annoying sometimes," she remarked in reply to his words instead of what she had planned to say.
He turned to look at her immediately, his bluish green eyes locking with her own deep blue.
"You speak as if you are not one of these filthy creatures I was trying to exterminate."
The miko shrugged her shoulder nonchalantly. "Well, sometimes I don't feel as if I am part of them, however not all of them are 'filthy creatures' as you dub them. Just…some."
Just as he was about to retort, she smiled at him then, making him sputter some incoherent words and turn to walk further away from her and deeper into his cage in apparent discomfort.
Kagome could only think about how much fun she was having, except in the instance she was about to continue to take him out of his apparent comfort zone, she heard a couple of footsteps coming down the other end of the metal walkway that wrapped around the glass enclosure.
Great, that's all she needed, to get caught, or perhaps….she could hide?
