Whole World is Watching
By SMYGO4EVA

It seemed like such a long time ago that Yugi Moto solved the Millennium Puzzle and released the spirit of the Pharaoh into his mind and held for a greater purpose.

Even with becoming the King of Games, he was confused and lost.

His fate was tied with the Pharaoh's, that much was true, but he felt that without the Pharaoh, he could recall nothing, but his name.

Yugi.

Yugi Moto.

It felt…hollow.

Empty on his tongue.

He felt like that name held more value than he could recall. It was like it was more than something what his friends, family, and what the Pharaoh called him.

Like it should mean something.

He indeed grew into a great duelist, one of the best, and soon claiming the title of King of Games, but that was with the Pharaoh's help.

Yugi had proved himself that he too could duel without the Millennium Puzzle and the Pharaoh more than once, and he still held the title, with his friends near tethered to him, but he still felt incomplete.

The fate of the world had been in his hands more than enough times already, but when he was alone with his thoughts, doubt settled in.

"Who am I?" Yugi had asked out loud, receiving nothing back but a draft of cool breeze.

He's the King of Games; you're just a frightened child.

You're just a replacement.

They look at you, see the Pharaoh, and then blame you for not being him. He barely thanked you for all the things you did when he was sharing your mind.

The whole world is watching….

Maybe he just needs some help.

And help he did.

Who gave the Pharaoh a second chance at life?

Yugi did.

Who helped the Pharaoh gain compassion and friendship?

Yugi did.

Who helped the Pharaoh save the world from the Shadow Games, saving his friends and family?

Yugi did.

Who was going to save the Earth in half a year's time?

Yugi Moto.

The whole world was watching.

And he was indeed good enough.
