This chapter could have been either one day, which would have been Christmas eve, or two, which in this case, is going to be a two part chapter split between Christmas and the eve of said day.

Ed coud hardly wait. Christmas! Winter vacation! Presents! Cookies! Candy canes! YEAH!

Ed couldn't WAIT. He had already spent the majority of his winter vacation hanging out with his best friends - Winry and Al. Winry could cook some mean cookies, and by the end of vacation, Ed would be as big as a house if she kept making them. THEY WERE JUST SO FRICKEN GOOD!

It was about 5, and Ed was debating going to bed. He HAD to be up early. So, to make up lost sleep, he usually went to bed SUPER early on Christmas Eve.

And usually, he was able to get up by 5. Which, as any kid knows, is AMAZING. Because then you stay up till December 26 at 5 in the morning, playing with everything you get.

But, like always, Winry had other plans. The DVR was at 98%, and they needed to make some room. So, in her typical girly fashion, she clapped her hands. "Who's up for watching Frosty the Snowman with some fresh baked cookies and eggnog?!"

Ed was sold at "cookies". As promised, she emerged from the kitchen seconds later, a large batch of chocolate chip cookies steaming in a still hot baking pan. She set them down on the table in front of the couch, and she then snuggled up on the couch for the movie.

Ed came flying down the stairs, and then jumped over the back of the couch into the cushions. He instinctively grabbed a cookie, which comedically sent him screaming like a little girl towards the bathroom to get water on his now burnt fingers.

He came back a while later, and sat down on the couch. Winry pressed play, and that oh so familiar song started to play. Ed had always been one of those people who were like, "THIS DON'T EVEN MAKE SENSE?!" Yet, he sat there and endured the fact some weirdo who couldn't do magic made a snowman came to life for two reasons -

The cookies.

And because Winry would get all pouty if he left. He hated seeing Winry pout. She always looked a lot prettier when she smiled.

But anyways.

They were at the part of the movie where the stupid police guy swallowed his whistle.

Like that's healthy.

The house was getting colder. It was snowing hard outside, and the heater was only half working. They had a fire raging in the fire place, but Ed could see Winry shaking. She scootched herself closer to Ed, now snuggling with him rather then the cold armrest of the couch.

Ed wanted a cookie SO BADLY.

But he didn't dare move, or this moment could be ruined. And that would be quite a shame. The movie dragged on, more children singing and crying about Frosty, and Winry eventually fell asleep on Ed.

He smiled to himself.

Then he remembered the fact it was snowing outside.

"Aw, crap. Al's gonna be bringing more kittens."

As if right on cue, the door to the cold and swirling snow outside slammed open, jolting Winry awake. Al came in with a kitten. Ed groaned. Winry was still only half awake, but jumped up and started to stroke the kitten.

"Brother, I already know your going to complain. Bit spare some air. Nothing deserves to be left outside in the winter." Ed sighed. Why was he always seen as the bad guy?

"Well, I guess nothing, not even a kitten, deserves to be alone on Christmas Eve."

And with that, the room suddenly got much warmer.

I thought I might as well do a longer chapter for these special days of December!

Because I'm totally up to date and I'm posting for the third of March!
