The Lizard: haha yeah Mr. Boddy is borderline creepy, but he means no harm. He's just a hyper fanboy. And I'm not sure who I would cast as Burn and Crash, but yeah Burn would sound deeper and "tougher" than Crash would.

That Guest Person: lol yeah I think I've had more messages about killing Gene off than anything, and that includes all the people who only read the first story.

Ellie: I think you're right, I couldn't honestly remember what it was (plus I couldn't find it) so I just made Turbo not remember it either XD

One More Turbo-Tastic Day at a Time

Six Months Later

Today was the day.

Burn had been waiting impatiently for this day to arrive, sometimes unable to sleep over it. Would Crash come back or would he stay gone forever? Would Fate take pity on them and let him be alive again? Burn never thought of praying before, but he certainly did pray to whoever in the Disney universe would listen to him.

He wasn't sure where Crash would regenerate (if he did at all) so he worried all day that he'd be waiting in the wrong spot. Would he pop up in the middle of TurboTime? Game Central Station? Somewhere else in Disney World?

"Come on, bro," Burn said worriedly as he paced back and forth on one section of the TurboTime track. His palms were clammy and his heart erratic. "Maybe I miscounted? Maybe it's tomorrow…or a week from now. Or maybe it was a week ago and I'm waiting around for nothing."

That was a depressing thought. He couldn't let himself think like that.

Minutes ticked by which turned into hours. Since then, Burn had cried twice, cursed Walt more than anyone should, kicked his tires, drove around a few times, laid prone on the track and told Walt he was sorry for cursing him, then cried again.

"I just want my brother back," he sobbed quietly as he laid there with his arms covering his face. "Please, just let him come back, it's not fair, he barely lived."

A few more minutes passed; still nothing.

Burn clenched his fists together and he shot up, dashing for the code vault. He hastily typed in the code to enter (Mickey had shared it with him) and anchored himself to the wall. Once the door opened, he dove inside and swam as fast as he could towards Crash's box.

It looked the same as it had before; dim from inactiveness. However, the loading bar inside said it was one hundred percent complete.

"What gives?" Burn shouted in the empty space, grabbing the box and shaking it. "You're finished loading, give him back!"

The box suddenly hummed loudly, prompting Burn to cease shaking it. Oh no, what if he broke it? He'd never forgive himself if he'd done something to prevent it from ever working!

Bright blue light radiated from the box, emitting a healthy glow that matched all the others. A small flashing sign blinked in the space where the loading bar had been, reading: Touch to Activate.

Burn swallowed, not sure if he was doing something right or wrong here. He reached a finger out to tap at it; the sign changed again to read: Character Profile Activated.

Did he do it? Was Crash back? Burn pulled himself back to the code vault entrance, his muscles burning from the strenuous activity. He threw the rope off of him once he was back inside the game proper and then ran as fast as he could to the racetrack. His heart pounded as he scanned the area and then it stopped when he at lasted spotted a blue figure lying in the grass.

The blue thing sat up slowly and Burn burst with emotion, tearing out across the game towards it.

"CRASH!" he yelled, feeling like he would explode with both joy and relief. He barely gave his brother enough time to process what was going on before colliding into him, knocking him down again and squeezing him in the biggest hug he could offer. "Crash, I can't believe it, you're here, you're really here!"

Crash didn't do much of anything at first, then he slowly hugged him back. 'Burn?' he asked slowly in confusion. 'Did…something happen?'

"Did it ever!" Burn realized he was probably smothering the poor guy, so he got off of him and helped him sit back up. "Don't you remember anything?"

Crash held his hand up against the side of his head as if trying to think. 'You sound different.'

"Oh right, I got a voice, a real one, I'm sure Mickey will let you have one too now!" He wanted to tell Crash everything that had been going on in the last six months, but he could tell that he was still disoriented. "Talk to me, what's the last thing you remember?"

Crash tried to think. 'Um…something about Turbo?' He blinked a few times and sat up straight then. 'That's it, Turbo! Oh man, Lady Go Go! We got to stop her from-'

Burn grabbed his arm before he could stand, Crash giving him a perplexed expression. "Crash, this is gonna come as a shock, but…that all happened six months ago." He sighed and his grip loosened when he felt that Crash wasn't going to run off again.

Crash stared at him, not sure what to make of that statement. 'Six months? But…'

Burn reached over to put his hands on his shoulders, looking him square in the eyes. "Just listen to me. Things got ugly back when you guys confronted Go Go and…" He swallowed, not liking to talk about this. "She shot you, Crash. Turbo tried to save you but it was too late. You died and you're just now coming back six months later."

Crash's breath stopped and he didn't even blink. 'I…died?' He looked down at the ground, his eyes fixed on the grass. 'I died…'

"But you came back," Burn felt he should emphasize. "I know it's confusing, but everything's okay now. Things are going real well for everyone. Heck, you even missed me getting out of prison."

'But what about Go Go? And Gene, what about him?'

Burn blew his breath out, putting his hands back down in his own lap. "Be prepared to sit here a while."

Bobby had been doing well for himself, preoccupying his time with helping others. It did his heart good to make a difference. Every time one of the many scrapped characters gave him and Burn a "thank you" and went off to fulfill their dreams, his heart swelled. He still felt a slight pang when he thought of Lady Go Go however, wishing he could have a second chance. He never did date anyone; he opted to be surrounded by many friends instead.

Crash coming back to life shocked him as much as it did everyone else; no one besides Mickey and Burn had known that a return was possible. Needless to say, Bobby was glad to see his old friend again, squeezing him in a bear-sized hug once he got over the initial surprise.

Crash bore no ill will towards him either, since it wasn't his fault that Go Go shot him after all. They even went back to the Real World (with Mickey's permission) to collect Go Go's old things that were collecting dust in a storage unit at the building she had lived at. Among the items was a CD that had a few test recordings of Go Go singing at her job. Bobby, who had never heard her sing before at all, sat in his bedroom while listening to it in private. He wished he could've heard her in person, but he could imagine her clear as day on the stage regardless.

Meanwhile, the new Gene was doing quite well. Everyone much preferred this version. He still said and did some snobby things now and then, as he was still Gene, but he never took things too far and he knew when to apologize. Some people kept their distance, wary that he still retained a bad seed deep inside him. One day, he would catch wind of the tale that another Gene had existed before him and that he had done some horrible things; which would make him sit and think his life over. He would never succumb to the evils of his original counterpart though.

("You're getting a little ahead of the story, Blondie. This stuff doesn't happen for another few years.")

("Yeah, you're right, Turbs, I guess I should rewind a bit.")

Turbo and I had moved to Florida (with the unfortunate companion of Mr. Boddy, though he honestly isn't all that bad once you're around him enough) to a beach house that was far enough away from the hotels and condominiums so that people wouldn't go wandering into our yard. If you can call a beach a "yard". Kitty likes to sit at our big bay window and watch the waves and seagulls.

I stay at home doing medical transcription while Turbs does odd jobs on the beach. Mr. Boddy had to get his finances in order before he could start up another business so we're still in the process of that. Hopefully by next year, Turbs can start teaching again. He's ready to share his "exquisite racing knowledge" with the world. Of course he had to do some reading up on how actual race cars work, since they don't exactly work on arcade game logic.

My family has visited once since we've moved; they really miss us. My sister and I went to Disney World for the first time...the theme park, not the real one. It was fun, but it after all my experiences with real Disney characters (and being married to one), seeing the costumed characters just wasn't the same. Got some neat merchandise though.

Bestie can walk again and she spent about two weeks with us not too long ago. She insists I hook her up with someone but I have no clue who. I'll think of someone. Maybe she can rehabilitate Prince Hans.

I'm joking...kinda.

("I don't think Prince Sideburns can handle her.")

("He can't, but at least he'd get knocked down a few pegs.")

("We need to find someone for your sister. I have some suggestions actually.")

("Shh! Quit butting in, I'm trying to finish this!")

Anywho, I'm still getting a little ahead of myself. How did we react to Crash being alive? With happy tears. Well, Turbs won't admit he cried, but he did. Silent tears anyway. Crash has a voice now by the way; he sounds light and boyish compared to Burn, who had gone with a deeper voice that sounds 'tough'. I think I recognize the voices, but they won't tell me straight up who they are.

The boys had also decided I deserved another chance at playing TurboTime since the first time I played it, I was too exhausted to play properly. Turbo gave me a thumbs-up from his car, as did his brothers. Yes, the three of them all call themselves "brothers" now, and I'm the lucky sister-in-law. Oh and Mr. Litwak said he was glad he didn't have to unplug TurboTime, since that would've been said. The only customer of his that knows about this game being inside his office is Moppet Girl, who really does not have a name sadly.

"Don't crash me this time, blondie!"

"I won't," I promised with a playful eye roll as I readied myself to race. "I got this."

"We're still not going easy on you!"

"I didn't think you would, Burn."

Anyway, I didn't win the game but I did get second place. Not too shabby. I didn't crash at least! These older games are surprisingly harder than the newer ones.

("You're just saying that to make yourself feel better.")

("Turbs, seriously, I am trying to end this story and you keep interrupting.")

("But people want to hear about us moving to Disney World, I'm sure.")

("We said we weren't moving there until our fiftieth anniversary! That's another forty-five years away!")

("Well hurry up, this is dragging out too long. I want to go grab a milkshake...so do Crash and Burn.")

("Okay, sweetie, give me a minute.")

I could go on about all the further adventures we have. Maybe we'll share it with you, maybe not. If not, I hope what we did share suffices. Our story didn't end with us moving away; it was just another chapter, just one more turbo-tastic day that we lived through together.

And we wouldn't have it any other way.

~The End~

Well that's it, guys. I have no plans to make a third story; if anything, I'll just tack a couple of one-shots to the end of this one. No promises though. This has been quite the journey, and I'm glad you guys stuck around with me until the end. This story plus the previous one took up eighteen months of my life! It's almost hard to let it go, but at the same time, I feel pretty accomplished that I finally finished it. Thanks for taking time out of your lives to read my story. Hopefully you guys don't say "good-bye" to me forever though, I'm not planning to leave this fandom anytime soon. In the meantime, take care of yourselves.

PS: To "Plushies", and to anyone else who asks...NO, Turbo and Blondie are not having children. I discussed this several times already within both stories and also in various author's notes. They don't want kids, Turbo is physically incapable of fathering them anyway, and I myself do not care to write about the subject of parenthood.
