Okay, it's been a while, for multiple different reasons, but for the sake of finishing this story I'm going to end it how I seem to end a lot of my stories - summing things up in snippets of their lives.
Enjoy.
HPOV
I was still shocked that Malfoy had done all this - I mean it was one thing to move to Paris with me, but another thing entirely to move the whole business here, buy a beautiful flat - decorated in the most expensive and classic artwork I'd ever seen in my life - and still find time for me.
I mean he'd moved headquarters here to Paris, which had to take an insane amount of time and energy, but he didn't seem to be complaining. In fact, he seemed happy. Now whether that was me, the business, the new place, or just Paris in general I had no idea, but either way I was happy for him.
And how could I not be happy? I was living in the flat of my dreams, with an amazing boyfriend, and an amazing job that I was starting bright and early tomorrow.
"If you keep smiling like that your face is going to crack." joked Malfoy, staring at me from across the room.
I rolled my eyes and went to join him on the couch, curling up against him as he wrapped his arms around me.
"I can't help it. I'm just so excited."
"I know," he chuckled, "And you should be."
I smiled and sunk further into his side, content to just listen to his steady breathing.
"Oh, and could you invite Micah for dinner tomorrow?"
I sat up and looked at him, eyebrow raised, "For what?"
"I told you I'd say yes to his idea of working with the business if my father didn't. I figure we should start talking about it."
I smiled and kissed him, "You're amazing, you know that?"
He just chuckled and pulled me back into another kiss.

Granger had been doing amazing work, and with my help Micah expanded his company's reach to China. The new branch of their business would be opening there within a few weeks.
Granger and I were talking about moving out of this flat and into a house a little further away from the constant movement of the city, but for now she was definitely content with where we were - and so was I.
My father had come to visit us and had apologized to Granger - which had been a complete shock to both of us - and he said that he could see that moving the company headquarters to Paris was a good idea, not only for the business, but for me too.
Talk about coming full circle.
"Granger, how long does it take to get ready?"
I heard her exasperated sigh through the bathroom door before she said, "You said it was formal, so I'm doing formal. Relax, I'll be out in a minute."
I chuckled and moved away from the door to go sit in the living room.
I'd told her I needed her to come with me to a business dinner, but I'd actually reserved an entire restaurant for us and all our friends, because tonight was the night I was going to propose to her.
I'd gone with Blaise and Theo to buy the ring, and that had been an experience I was sure I wasn't going to forget.
"Mate, this is simple."
"No, it's not bloody simple." I snapped, running a hand through my hair as I stared at what seemed like hundreds of different styles of engagement rings. How the hell was I supposed to pick one?
"Yes," said Blaise, "It is. You know her. You know what she likes."
"That isn't helping me right now."
Theo rolled his eyes and said, "It's not helping you because you're freaking out. You love her, don't you?"
I nodded.
"You want to marry her, don't you?"
I nodded again.
"So then take a fucking breath, look at the rings, and find the one that says, 'Hermione'." he instructed.
I did what he said and turned toward the display cases again, seeing them in a different way this time. I saw them how she would see them.
I looked at one with a giant diamond surrounded by a ring of smaller diamonds and immediately knew that was entirely too much.
I looked at other ones, all of them either too old, too new, too gold, too silver, too something.
But then I saw it. I saw it and I immediately knew she would absolutely love it.
"That one." I said, looking at the jeweler, "That's the one."
It was simple, but not too simple. It was...perfect. The ring was white gold with a diamond that was raised up slightly and on each side on the band were three smaller diamonds set into what looked like a rather intricate vine-like design.
"Now that wasn't so hard, was it?" smirked Blaise, the same look on Theo's face, and I just rolled my eyes.
They couldn't blame me. I was nervous. I wanted this to be perfect.
I wasn't nervous anymore, but mostly because I knew I loved her, and I knew she loved me, and I knew that even if the moment wasn't perfect and I fucked it up - well, it'd be okay. Because we weren't perfect, and we fucked up, but we still worked out.
So this would too.

Trying to move into a new house while balancing an extremely heavy workload was hard enough, add on the fact that Malfoy was just as busy made things twice as difficult.
Oh, and the fact that I had to maneuver around with a baby in my belly also made things just a little more complicated.
Malfoy and I had decided to move into a house right after we'd gotten married - and if that hadn't been an adventure in and of itself I don't know what was - but we'd never actually gotten around to picking a place, and somewhere in between there I'd gotten pregnant.
Of course this left us scrambling to find a place close enough to Paris, big enough to raise a family, and safe enough not to worry.
That's how I ended up five months pregnant unpacking a million boxes and trying to get everything set up just right for when our little bundle of joy got here.
"You should rest, Granger." said Malfoy, wrapping his arms around my waist, his hand rubbing soft circles on my stomach.
For some reason, even though we were married, we couldn't shake the use of the nicknames we'd had with each other since we'd met, and even though everyone found it weird...it was just us.
"I'm fine." I said, patting his hand and moving to hang a few pictures on the wall of our bedroom. "We still need to decorate the baby's room."
He chuckled, "We don't know what it is."
"Well we can just pick a neutral color for now."
"I still don't know why you want to wait." he said, helping me hang the pictures.
"Because it should be a surprise." I said simply, kissing his cheek.
He smiled and let it go, content to let me have this.
We'd been arguing since I'd found out I was pregnant about what the sex of the child was going to be. He swore up and down it would be a boy, but I knew it was a girl. I just knew.
We'd find out in a few short months, though.
Ginny was pregnant with her second child, and she was due any day now - another boy. They'd named their first James, in honor of Harry's father, and their second was being named Albus, in honor of an old family friend. I knew Ginny really wanted a girl, though, so I knew there'd be at least one more Potter running around before long.
Regardless of what this baby ended up being, I couldn't complain as long as it was healthy. That's all I wanted - all we wanted.
"I can't wait to meet him." said Malfoy, pressing a kiss to my belly.
I swatted his shoulder lightly and said, "You mean you can't wait to meet her."
"I don't think that's what I meant at all." he said, a smile stretching across his face.
I couldn't help but laugh and allow him to pull me out of the bedroom and downstairs to the dining room.
I saw the table set for two, a few candles placed on it, and soft music playing.
"You did this?"
He nodded, "I figured you needed a break."
I smiled and kissed him, taking a seat at the table and wondering how in the hell I got lucky enough to wind up starting a family with my best friend.

"Scorpius, give Rose back her toy."
"My toy, daddy." said Scorpius, looking up at me with innocent gray eyes - but I knew better. I was pretty sure I had the same face when I was his age.
"Now you know that's not true." I said, taking the teddy bear from him and handing it back to Rose.
They were twins, but they didn't look all that similar. Scorp looked exactly like me, minus a few things like the freckles that dotted the bridge of his nose and his smile, and Rosie looked exactly like Granger, minus her nose and that smirk was definitely mine.
I didn't think two year olds could smirk, but she'd proved me wrong on more than one occasion.
Like now, she was smirking at Scorp as she squeezed the teddy to her chest.
"Where's mummy?" he asked, opening his mouth again to no doubt scream for her, when we heard the front door open, and in she came, carrying so many shopping bags that it was almost hard to see her.
I stood and took most of them from her, setting them on the dining room table before turning to look at her, eyebrow raised.
"I may have gone a little overboard with Christmas shopping." she said sheepishly.
I laughed and looked at all twelve bags and five small gift wrapped boxes and said, "A little?"
"Oh you know how I get around Christmastime." she said, shrugging off her coat and hanging up her scarf.
"And how are my two favorite people in the whole wide world?" she asked, picking up both Scorp and Rosie, who had been clinging to her legs like monkeys.
"Mummy, presents?" asked Rosie, pointing to all the things on the table.
Granger chuckled and said, "Yes, dear, presents. But not for another two weeks."
Rosie pouted, but didn't say anything else, and Scorp started kissing her cheeks. She laughed and soon Rosie was doing the same thing and - what the hell?
"Oh, Malfoy! All of you stop it." she said, laughing while she tried to move her face away from all of us.
We all collapsed onto the couch to watch Christmas movies and I couldn't help but think back to the Christmases I'd spent with Granger and her family, and now here we were, celebrating our very own Christmas.
It really didn't get any better than this.

I never expected to be the guy who hosted birthday parties, Christmases, or Thanksgivings. I never expected to be the guy with four amazing kids, and a beautiful wife. I never expected to be the guy who made snacks, kissed boo-boos, and read bedtime stories to little ones.
But I was all those things and more and I never would've expected how happy that could make me.
I watched from the park bench as Scorpius, Rose, Caelum, and Astra played with Hermione. It was hard to believe that all five of those amazing people loved me and were a part of my life - were my life.
Granger and I had come a long way from where we'd been almost ten years ago.
We'd gone from best friends, to friends with benefits, to complicated, to really complicated, to dating, to broken up, to dating again, to engaged, married, pregnant - and now this.
There'd been so many crazy things that had happened over the years.
Like on our honeymoon when Granger decided to drag me cliff diving.
Or right after Scorp and Rosie were born when she decided that redecorating the whole house was a good idea, and actually called in a contractor to rebuild half the house.
Or when we found out we were having another kid, Caelum, and we stayed up all night talking about what things would be like.
Or how Astra was a complete surprise and we had to figure out where we were going to stick all these kids, and Granger almost had a heart attack, but it ended up okay in the end.
All these things were important. All these little things that had happened over these last few years - and the years before - when Hemione and I were just friends, all of that paved the way for right now. Right this very second.
It paved the way for this very existence, and I wouldn't change it for the world.
I shook my head, clearing my thoughts and wondered what the hell I was doing sitting on this bench, when everything I needed and wanted was right in front of me.
With that I stood up and joined them.
I guess it's true, what they say. You really should marry your best friend.
And I did.
Well I hope you guys enjoyed, even though wow this took a while...like a really long while.
Anywho, I'm not going to be writing a chapter story for a while, because I'm really burned out with everything going on, but I'll try to upload here and there in my Collection or just other little one shots if I have the time.
As always, thanks for reading, thanks for sticking with me, and thanks for reviewing.
Until next time lovelies.
