The world froze for a moment again. But this time, it didn't last for very long. Instead, the scenery completely changed around him and Ghirahim. They ended up in some strange room with a long poofy chair, two tables, a bookshelf, and some sort of rectangular box sitting on one of the tables. What was most interesting about the box was the fact that the grassy arena they were just in was shown on it, as well as a large square that read 'Connections with the Wii remote have been interrupted. Reconnect the Wii remote. Press (A) without touching the control stick.'

"Fi? What…" Link got knocked to the floor, realizing again that Ghirahim had been transported too.

"Hah, if this is Hylia interfering, it isn't doing much to stop me!" Ghirahim crowed. Link quickly got back into fight mode. Dodge, slash, block, hammer and chip gigantic sword, repeat. Eventually, he completely destroyed the sword and managed to stab Ghirahim in the chest.

"Aaaaugh!" the demon fell to his knees, "This… this is preposterous. Driven to my knees by a simple child of man. Laughable! Hah…" his eyes widened as he realized something, "Curses! The ritual… I must get back…! You… I won't let you get away with this… Gah! No! I will… not be defeated! I will not…!"

And there, before Link's very eyes, Ghirahim transformed into a huge black sword. It clattered uselessly onto the ground and lay there like an inanimate object.

"Okay… I don't know what happened, but I think we did it," Link decided, "We just saved the world. Now… uh, where are we?"

"I do not know, Master," Fi answered, "I detect a fifty percent chance we may find out if we look around."

"Alright then," Link moved the oversized, heavy sword out of the way and examined his surroundings more thoroughly. On the table he saw some strange white rectangle object with a black string running out of it, as well as a thinner thing with a cord attached to it that looked like it had been taken apart. This was gold, and had a small Hylian crest on the front.*

"'Wii Motion Plus inside'," Link read slowly, peering at the small text near the base of the gold thing, "Wait… Wii! That… thing you keep talking about before the world freezes… the 'Wii remote'… is that inside of this thing?" he lifted it up, forgetting it had another attachment to it, which clattered off of the table and hung in midair. Link grabbed the dangling part and wiggled the round stick sticking out of it, then let it hang again.

"It looks like a fishing pole," he noted, demonstrating by holding it out. It hit the larger white box.

"What's this?" he bent down to look at it, flipping the tabs on the top open and looking at all of the weird holes, "Umm… what are these for?" he tried sticking a finger in one, but it didn't do much. Then he read the front.

"Hey Fi, this says 'Wii'. Do you think that this thing is the power for the remote-stick-thing?" Link asked, holding up the gold thing.

"Maybe. Master, what about these?" Fi looked at the parts on the table that looked like they had been taken off of the gold object. Link stopped fiddling with the Wii and picked one of the round things up.

"Dure-ah-sell, R, al-call-line, battery…" he sounded out, "Batteries! Is this it?! I found it! Fi, look!" Link exclaimed in excitement.

"I see it, Master. I detect a ninety percent chance that it is supposed to go into the golden stick you are holding."

"Yeah… wait! If they are low on power, and them being low makes the world freeze, then I don't want to stick them back in. I don't want to freeze myself."

"That is a wise decision, Master. Maybe we can charge the batteries somehow to get back home. I detect a forty-five percent chance that they could be charged in the holes at the top of the Wii."

"Hey, yeah, that might work!" Link agreed, turning back to the white box. He re-opened the tab with the round holes and tried putting the battery in one. Unfortunately, it didn't fit in any of the holes.

"What's this do?" Link wondered, pulling at the black cord. It came out of the box a little bit, also causing a patch of grass to erupt on the table.

"Huh?"

"Master, look," Fi directed his attention to the large flat rectangle on the wall that still showed the fighting arena he and Ghirahim had started their battle in. In the corner, just beyond the big brown 'reconnect' warning, was an empty patch of black where the grass was supposed to be.

"I detect a ninety percent chance that if you push the cord in, we will go back to where we came," Fi explained.

"That's a good idea," Link agreed. He tried pushing the cord in, and felt himself being teleported once again.

~/_\~

Ethan raced back into the house and down the stairs just in time to see Link, Fi, some grass on the coffee table, and a big black sword all disappear right in front of his eyes.

"What? Were they- how- what?" he rushed over to his Wii, which was knocked over. Picking it up, he examined everything. The remote and one battery were on the opposite side of the table than they had been left on, and the table was slightly crooked, but that was all he found. Confused, he put the batteries back in the remote, pressed the A button, and waited for it to recalibrate. Once the game unpaused, it made a fizzing noise and froze, a big black line cutting across the middle of the screen.

"Hey! This isn't fair!" Ethan rebooted the Wii and tried going back on his file. Each time, the black bar interrupted and everything froze.

"Nooo… come on! I was just about to finish the game! Aagh!" Ethan shut the Wii off, and left to see if there were any solutions online.

*Yes, this is a real Wii remote, and I have one. If you ordered the Skyward Sword package early you got an awesome gold Zelda-ized Wiimote and a cd with orchestrated music on it. That's what this kid's got.

A/N Well, now it's really done folks! That was the last chapter! I'll let your imaginations figure out what happened to grass patch and company. The moral of the story; never unplug your Wii, even slightly, without saving and quitting first. OR it could be: Always keep track of your remote's battery power, because you never know what fictional characters you are confusing the heck out of and possibly harming in the process.

Cheers!
