Enjoy my lovelies~~~

Adeline's POV

I could hear the snow crunching under my feet as I walked toward a city.

It looks like..oh my god. It's London!

I wanted to jump in excitement as the city came into my view. The people walking around with their shopping bags, children, grandchildren, parents, cousins, friends, dogs, I could go on forever.

I stopped and glanced a moment longer.

I wanted to engulf myself in this scene of normality.

I've been lost for so long, maybe here, in this city, I can be found. I can find Ciel. Somewhere..

I noticed my body was beginning to freeze again and walked forward into the streets of my city.

Even though I lived in a big mansion far away from here, father always took me to the city. Ciel hated it and would always refuse when the offer came up. But whenever father suggested it, I'd always accept.

I loved looking at the different people, wondering what their purpose was to be there.

If they were there for themselves, others, or just because they wanted an adventure.

I always loved adventures. That's why father asked me all the time if I wanted to go to the city with him.

He'd take me on adventures through book stores, boutiques, the newer shops and most importantly the old ones.

My favorite was the music and instrument shops. I was taught to play the violin as one of my requirements of being a "proper noble lady", but I actually did enjoy playing it so much. I'd get lost in the notes, and would even make up my own sheet music in my spare time. Ciel always loved my songs. He would sit with me for hours in the ballroom as I played him my newest symphonies.

Sometimes I would mess up so badly though, pop a string or my violin would screech as I didn't play the note correctly, but it'd put a smile on his face from my little mishaps and would encourage me to just try again and keep playing.

But moving on..

The one stop that I always thought was strangest out of our trip was to the Undertaker's.

Undertaker was a strange man. He had long white hair and you could never see his eyes.

It always bothered me when I couldn't see others' eyes. It's like they were hiding something from the world, and hiding them would make me want to uncover the secrets even more.

But I had never spoken more than a couple sentences to that man. Normally just saying our hello's and formalities of the kind. Him and father would hushly talk to each other in the back of the store while I sat on one of the many coffins strawn out throughout all of Undertaker's shop.

I've always thought it was strange when I was young why father would talk to this man who fixes up dead people for a living. But when I got older father finally told me his business and would even bring me along to help.

The Yard would bark at my father all the time for bringing someone my age to a crime scene, especially a woman, but father never listened to a thing they said. He'd just nod his head and continue his theories on the matter at hand.

Father said one day I'll have to take over what he's doing for the Queen, and one day share and teach my experiences to Ciel so him and I could be just as great as he was.

But look where I am now.

I left Ciel all alone. And he probably had to share those terrifying experiences with no one but his own mind. No one to talk to. No one to look up to. I left him like that. Alone.

-Or rather he left you.

Oh shut up mind, I'm the older sibling, I left him. Even though he did leave me in a literal sense I guess..But that's beside the point!

I continued to approach the roads of London, and started walking on the sidewalk where high class nobles and even the lower class peasants were giving me strange looks.

I looked down and remembered what I was wearing and saw that was the explanation why.

No wonder, I look like I just rose from the dead. I should probably find my way to a dress shop or something.

As I continued walking the sudden realization struck me.

My shoulders shrunk in depression. I don't have a single coin of money with me. Great. Now what.

I moped through the sidewalk a moment longer until I came up at a shop that looked strangely familiar.

The music shop! Father and I went in there so much the owner has to recognize my name.

But it's been so long… I could still give it a shot though.

I quickly walked out of the cold and into the warm shop.

Instruments and sheet music littered the walls of the place. But the shop was completely empty of any customers.

This place used to be so popular, I wonder what happened.

I approached the counter but no one was there except for a note saying that the shop keeper was out on lunch and would be back shortly around 1pm.

I glanced at the clock behind the desk.

12:35, I have time to maybe look around without being questioned.

Eventually I found a couple of sheets of music that were to my liking and stuffed them into my boot.

Hopefully no one will miss those, heh.

I looked at the clock once more, impatient, seeing only ten minutes has passed.

Alright, I don't have all day

-Well it's not like you have any pressing matters to attend to Adeline what are you saying.

Excuse you mind, I do what I want. And right now, I want to find something and keep moving!

..

"What the hell, I'm actually arguing with myself. Stupid Adeline, you've finally cracked!" I said as I threw my hands up over my head, hitting and swinging open a door by the shelf I was standing by.

I peeked inside and saw a little back room with a piano, a chair, and a violin sitting on top of it.

I crept more inside the room, scoping out if anyone was in there.

I stared at the violin, reaching out my hand to touch it.

Adeline, no! What are you doing, this isn't your stuff!

-It's not like if you get caught you have anything to lose.

I guess you have a point there..

I picked up the violin and bow and started playing whatever was on my mind, whatever I remembered. A sweet but sad symphony playing through the room as I lost myself in my own music.

But I was soon interrupted as I heard the shop door swing open.

Panicking, I put the violin quickly back on the chair and slipped back out into the cold through the back door in the room into the alley. This time I was sure to grab the thick coat sitting on the chair with the violin so I wouldn't freeze myself into the next century.

Whew, that was close. I don't think the shopkeeper would appreciate me using his violin, in his private back room, in his own shop while he was out. Hah. Shouldn't of left the front entrance open then!

Continuing down the alley and back onto the main sidewalks, I shifted my gaze across the street looking at another building that I would never think of not recognizing. The gloomy exterior got my attention in the first place.

Undertaker's!

No one's POV

Ciel and Sebastian were casually walking down the streets of London when a sweet tune filled the air around them.

"It appears someone is playing the violin, master." Commented Sebastian.

"Please stop stating the obvious Sebastian, of course it's a violin, we're right by the music shop." The young master replied.

As the two were walking passed the shop, the young earl glanced to see what was inside and saw no one.

A little strange, no one's in there. And that music sounds so familiar.. Ciel thought.

"Sebastian, let's go inside."

The butler looked down at his master for a moment, wondering why he suddenly gained interest in music for once.

But once the two strutted into the store, the music stopped. And the hauntingly lonely aura of the store came over Ciel

He stood there a moment longer.

"..Lets go Sebastian. We have no business in here."

Looking at his master slightly confused once more, the butler and his young master walked back out of the door and once again and onto the long streets of London.
