It took longer than I expected, but I was finally able to finish this. Sorry it took so long guys, I hope this makes up for it though.

If you read, review?

"You're gonna need those."

Abby curled her toes in her sneakers and sighed as she looked out the window of Tony's car and into the pouring rain. She still had no clue where they were going and they had been driving for a little over an hour now. Abby opened her mouth to ask Tony where they were going once more, but she was quickly interrupted by Tony before she could speak.

"Shhhh..."

Abby let out a defeated sigh and rested he head on her fist, her elbow resting on the door of the car. It remained quiet for only a bit longer.

"We'll get there when we get there, then you'll see where we're going."

Abby opened her mouth to protest, but closed it when Tony made another "shhh..." noise. That noise was really starting to get annoying. Every time she tried to speak, which she did often, Tony would stop her with that noise. She let out another deep sigh and returned to her earlier position, deciding that she wasn't going to get any answers out of Tony.

It wasn't long after that, when Tony pulled into an airfield that was almost completely empty, except for the small plane that had just landed. Tony stopped the car, turned it off, and grabbed his jacket, not bothering to put it on. He opened his door and ran around to Abby's side, using his jacket as coverage from the rain. He opened her door and the Goth quickly slipped under the jacket with him, seeking shelter from the cold rain.

Tony quickly led her along until they stood a few feet away from the plane. The plane's engine had finally died down to a small ringing noise instead of a loud roar. She and Tony stood still as workers ran about, readying everything to allow passenger's off of the plane. Abby opened her mouth to ask Tony why they were there, but she was quickly interrupted by the same infuriating sound from earlier. Instead of yelling at him like she desperately wanted to, Abby looked around the air field, there was snow where usually there was some grass, and the orangish-yellow lights reflected off of the wet runway brightly.

Suddenly, one of the workers lowered the steps of the plane and quickly people started getting off. A man who was using a brief case came up to them.

"Are you Abby?" He called over the wind and the roar of the rain.

Abby nodded slowly, confused by what was happening. The man held out an envelope to her, she took it in her hand and he quickly hurried off. Abby looked at the envelope in her hand for a moment before she looked up at Tony, unsure of what was happening and of what to do.

"Open it."

Abby slowly looked back down at the envelope, for a few moments she just looked at it before she tentatively grasped it with her other hand and started to open it. Inside was a letter with familiar handwriting inscribed into the paper with ink. Abby pulled it out and struggled to unfold it without losing hold of the envelope.

Abby slowly read the letter with a shaking hand and a sinking feeling in her heart.

My dearest Abigail,

I am sorry to tell you this, but I cannot continue to send you these letters. If you truly wish for me to be happy, then you will understand that these letters we are sending back and forth will never suffice for having the real thing. They are simply a cruel reminder of what I have left behind. I hope you understand that. I hope you understand that I cannot continue to torture myself by keeping you at the same spot in my life. I have always held you just out of my reach, your close enough that I can almost feel you, but when I grasp for you, my fingertips just barely miss your skin. I can't do that any longer. It is not fair to either of us. So I am not going to continue to do this to us. I think that what I am choosing to do instead is much better for both of us. I know that you will understand when you finish reading this letter.

All that is left of my love,

Ziva.

P.S. Look up.

Abby stared down at the letter through tears. In confusion she turned the letter over, seeing if anything was written on the back of it before she turned it back around and looked up. What she saw made her world stop.

Ziva David stood not far from them, her bag slung over her shoulder as she smiled through the rain that was soaking her. Abby stood still frozen in shock at the scene that stood before her. Ziva placed her bag on the ground and waited for Abby to make the first move.

Abby felt Tony's breath tickle her ear as he whispered to her.

"Go get her."

For a moment longer, Abby stood still before she took a tentative step forward, coming out from shelter of Tony's jacket, but once there she paused once more for fear that Ziva would suddenly disappear and that this was all just a dream. She was still on Tony's lap sleeping in her apartment. Then again if it was a dream, maybe she could make it so Ziva wouldn't disappear. Ziva's smile widened when Abby stepped toward her, but she continued to wait when Abby paused. Finally, Abby could no longer take all of the tension that had built up inside her. She let it burst forward as she ran toward Ziva, Ziva finally moved, running forward and meeting the goth halfway. Ziva wrapped her arms round Abby's waist and lifted her. Abby's legs instinctively bent and she held Ziva's hips tightly between her knees while she wrapped her arms around Ziva's neck, leaving only enough room for her to bury her face in the crook where Ziva's shoulder met her neck.

Abby didn't hold back her tears as she sobbed into Ziva's neck, her hands grasped tightly at Ziva's back over and over again, making sure that the woman holding her was real. Ziva cooed to her and showed no sign of wanting to put her down, eventually though, after quite a while of holding Abby up, Ziva did set the sobbing woman down. Abby stood on her own, but she didn't remove her face from Ziva's neck nor did she release the current death grip she had on Ziva's sweatshirt, her hands were twisted into the fabric afraid to let go of the woman she loved so dearly.

Ziva spoke softly, trying to comfort Abby.

"Abigail?" Ziva paused and pulled back slightly, but not to far allowing Abby to have the choice to hide her face again. Ziva placed her hands over each of Abby's and eased them out of the fabric of her sweatshirt, Ziva didn't release Abby's hands when they finally relaxed and let go.

Abby pulled far enough back so that Ziva could see her face. Her eyes were filled with confusion and shock, fear and love. Ziva decided to answer all of the unsaid things the best way she could. She softly cupped Abby's cheek before leaning forward and capturing Abby's lips in her own.

The kiss was tender and slow. It was filled with reassurance and adoration. Ziva wrapped her arms around Abby's waist, while Abby wrapped her arms around Ziva's neck, desperate for any touch from the woman. Needing to feel Ziva in her hands in any way she could to prove that this was all real. The kiss was cut short when Tony cleared his throat.

Abby rested her head on Ziva's shoulders and wrapped her arms under Ziva, leaving Ziva to speak for them.

"Sorry to bother the two of you, but this rain isn't getting any lighter."

Ziva laughed at his old humor.

Ziva smiled and quietly thanked Tony has he handed her the coffee mug. She took it in one hand, not wanting to disturb Abby who was sitting on the floor with Ziva, she sat between Ziva's legs, her back to Ziva's front as she leaned against her breast. The goth was now fast asleep, she hadn't gotten much sleep when Tony had woken her up originally and she had fought sleep for as long as she could when they all returned to her apartment, not wanting to miss one second of having Ziva back. Ziva had watched with amusement as Abby fought to keep her eyes open until finally, she leaned forward and brushed a strand of Abby's hair behind her ear before she whispered to her.

"It is okay to fall asleep, you are safe, I am here."

Abby had been silent for a moment, when she did speak, she didn't look at Ziva and her voice was quiet.

"Will you be here when I wake up?"

Ziva smiled and let out a small chuckle.

"In this very spot."

Abby had fallen asleep very quickly after that.

Ziva looked up to see through the window that the sun was just beginning to rise, throwing all different shades of orange, red, yellow and pink into the black night. Ziva was so caught up in her musings of the sky and how wonderful it was to have the woman she loved with her the way she had always wanted her to be, to realize that Tony had asked her something. He called her name and she looked to him in confusion, finally realizing that he had spoken.

"I am sorry, what was that, Tony?"

He sipped his coffee.

"I said, how do you want to tell Gibbs and the others."

Ziva smiled and looked down at Abby who was peacefully sleeping. Ziva adoringly brushed the back of her hand along Abby's cheek.

"I will figure that out later, for now, it can wait."
