For those of you who got confused in the last chapter, Jason was dreaming. He was given so much of the toxin, that he relived parts of his past in his sleep.
Chapter 18
Tim's POV
"Jason!"
Everyone stopped what they were doing as Bruce screamed Jason's name. The sound of a heart monitor flatling was what was heard next. Dick was the first one to move. He ran towards them as I followed.
Jason wasn't breathing. His heart had stopped. Leslie and Alfred immediately began administering CPR. Dick held tightly to Jason's hand as Bruce held onto his other hand. Damian and I stood silently watching.
Minutes passed before Alfred and Leslie stopped. They both shook their heads as tears rolled down their cheeks. Bruce released Jason's hand as he moved away from the hospital bed. Dick had already starting sobbing onto Jason's body as I moved to take Jason's cold hand. Damian silently watched. The only sound in the cave was Dick's crying. Tears silently fell from my eyes as I looked at his body.
I nearly fell over as I felt slight pressure on my hand. Blue eyes with a green tint were looking up at me as the heart monitor started beeping again.
"Jason." I whispered, only to be shoved aside by Bruce.

Jason's POV
About a month later, I was moved back into my old bedroom. I had recovered partially, but not completely. The only thing I can do is lay in bed… I can't even get up on my own.
"Jason?"
I rolled my eyes as Bruce entered. He hasn't been the most welcoming person since my recovery. I mean, Dick attached himself to me like some disease. Tim won't leave me alone and Damian keeps coming in here.
"Let me guess… You're kicking me out?" I snarled as he took a seat on the bed.
"No… I just came to see if you needed anything."
"Dick told me that you carried me out. Why?"
"Did you want me to leave you behind?" he asked, stunned.
"Why not? You did it the first time!" I hissed.
"Jason, I tried to get to you. Your death killed a part of me… A lot has come between us. But, we need to let the past go. We have to move on… I still worry about you… I want you to come home."
I looked away as a tear rolled down my cheek.
"You will always have a home here." He continued as I nodded slightly.
"I never thanked you for saving Tim." He responded softly as I felt a surge of anger rise.
"I wouldn't have needed to if you'd just killed that fucking psycho in the first place!" I hissed as remorse flashed across his face. "And you still don't get it! The day I get up from this bed, he'll try to kill me again! He's not going to stop! He'll-"
"Jason… The Joker is dead."

Sitting on the back steps of the manor, I watched the sun fall as I lit a cigarette.
"Can we talk?" Tim asked as he sat down beside me.
I grunted as he moved closer. I watched him twist his hands nervously out of the corner of my eye.
"Jason?"
"Hmm?"
He hesitated before saying, "Are you going to leave now?"
"Tonight. It's been six months. I've outworn my welcome… Besides, Roy and Kory are waiting on me."
"Oh." He replied softly as I stole a glance at his hurt expression.
I sighed before saying, "I guess one more day wouldn't hurt."
A small smile escaped his lips as we sat in silence for a few minutes.
"Thanks for saving me." he whispered, breaking the silence.
"I didn't… Dick did." I muttered.
"I'm sorry, Jason. If it wasn't for me-"
"Not your fault, kid."
"But-"
"It's not your fault… It's all because of that fucking psycho… Now, I don't even know what's real or not. He planted ideas in my head. Made me see things that aren't real… He hurt you." I bitterly replied.
"I'm sorry about what he did to you. I never thought he knew who we are... But, he's dead, right? He can't hurt us anymore. They said he died in that warehouse." Tim replied as I shrugged.
"Only one problem."
"What?"
"They never found the body."
