Mai was quite on the way home, and quickly excused herself to her room.

Lin and Madoka weren't quite sure what had happened but knew better then to press the issue.

Luella on the other hand was not as easily swayed. However the look of finality on her sons face told her to leave this to him for the time being. She would not be silenced long.

While Naru was keeping his mother from storming into Mai's room, Hanako crept up the stairs with tea. She knew Mai would need tea.

She knocked twice but Mai did not respond. Not that easily deterred, Hanako called through the door and opened it anyway. "I'm coming in"

Mai was on her bed crying. When she noticed Hanako, she wiped her eyes and pretended to smile.

"None of that, I know you better then this Mai" Hanako scolded lightly, before placing the tea on Mai's bedside table and climbing on the bed next to her. Thankfully she had already washed the sheets...

"I wish I didn't always make people worry about me" Mai hiccuped. Hanako sighed and pulled her mistress into an embrace.

"You know we only worry because we love you" Hanako assured, and Mai nearly smiled through her tears.

"I love you too" Mai whispered against her shoulder. "I am so lucky to have you"

They stayed like that for a while, and Hanako didn't complain about Mai crying on her dress.

Naru had noticed Hanako walk upstairs and go into Mai's room.

Figuring it best to wait her out, Naru lent against the wall besides the door. He couldn't hear what they were talking about, but Mai had said the room was soundproof. Thank goodness.

It took about twenty minutes, but eventually Hanako made her way to the door. She bowed when she saw Naru waiting, looking concerned.

"Shes all yours" She smiled, before walking away. Naru nodded in thanks, before walked into Mai's room.

Mai for her credit looked to be in a better mood. She even smiled when she saw him. "Hey" She greeted.

Naru wasted no time in hugging her, cradling her against his chest. "Hey" he greeted back.

Mai hugged him back, clutching him tight. "I was going to get a drink"

"Are you sure that is a good idea?" Naru didn't want to tell her what to do, but was sure that encouraging her would be worse.

"Probably not" Mai pouted. "But if you join me, I will share the good wine"

"Fine, but don't go overboard" Naru stroked her hair and down her back. "Want me to grab some?"

"If you wouldn't mind, I will meet you in the hot-tub" Mai assured, leaning in and planting a kiss on Naru's cheek. "Sorry, I don't want to risk running into anyone right now"

"Its OK, I will see you in a minute"

Just like the last time Mai and him were alone in the hot-tub, Mai was not wearing a swimsuit. This time she didn't seem as shy about it.

Candles had been lit and the lush red curtains had been opened. Mai had been telling the truth when she said this room had no windows, but that was not the first thing Naru noticed when he walked in.

The walls were indeed adorned with pictures of Mai, many of her in very seductive poses and revealing clothing. This room would have been a fan boys dream. Mai was indeed very beautiful in all of these, but the one that caught his eye was the one that looked the oldest. Mai even still had short hair and was thankfully wearing more. His Mai...

"Care to join me?" Mai invited nervously, watching Naru scan the wall.

Naru locked the door, learning from his previous mistakes. He began to undress and Mai didn't know if she should look away. She watched up until he took off his boxers, blushing madly. She grabbed the wine Naru had placed next to her, and took a long drink.

Confidence renewed, she waited till he joined her, before throwing her arms around him. Kissing him.

Much like their first time, Naru waited till instructed before touching her. However, Mai began getting impatient with how passive he was being. "Oliver, please just... do what you like to me" Mai asked him.

"Mai I don't think this is a good idea..." He told her, pulling away. Mai looked like she had been slapped.

"Wait what?" Mai let go, sitting down. "Did I do something wrong?"

"No of course not!" Naru assured, sitting down himself, trying to hide how much restraint this was taking. "I feel like if we... I feel like I am taking advantage of you"

Mai looked a little shook. What just happened? "What?"

"Mai I love you... More then anything" Naru confessed, taking her hand and staring into her eyes. "I would never want you to feel like you regret being with me like this"

"I don't-" Mai closed her eyes. "You really love me don't you?"

"Mai I wish I could have been more honest with you back when we first met" Naru admitted, recalling Mai's confession and the misunderstanding that followed. A tear rolled down his cheek. "If I had let myself believe that someone so... wonderful, could actually love me. I could have-"

Mai silenced him by kissing him. "I love you too Oliver" She smiled. "Things happened like this for a reason, and the important thing is we are together now"

Naru had taken Mai to bed not long afterwards, and had not left her side. It didn't take long for Mai to pass-out, and Naru soon followed suit.

A few hours later however, Mai woke up. It was midnight. She hadn't actually eaten, so she decided to grab something small. Maybe a cup of tea.

As silently as possible, she crept from Naru's arms. Watched him sleep for a few moments, before grabbing a nightgown and a pair of slippers.

Shuffling downstairs, Mai did not expect anyone to be sitting at the table. She nearly yelped, but having been a ghost hunter, she managed to hold it down.

"Luella you aren't sleeping?" Mai asked, worried that somehow she was being a bad host. Luella was drinking tea and reading, but had heard Mai come down the stairs. "Sorry, is the room uncomfortable?"

"No dear I'm sorry, I just found this book in the library and I couldn't put it down" Luella placed the book upside-down to keep her page, and took her now empty teacup to the side where Mai kept the kettle. "Why don't you join me for tea?"

Mai smiled. "Sure, thank you" She took a seat at the table next to where Luella was sitting. "Innocence" she read the title of the book. She had read it once or twice herself.

"It's a great book" Luella commented, making her extra special tea. "Can't you sleep Mai?"

"Oh I was just feeling a little peckish" Mai remembered, getting up to find something to eat. "I slept through dinner"

"You know, scones might be nice with tea" Luella suggested, grabbing the ones she had purchased from the cupboard. "But you should still have something more filling"

Mai chuckled at being parented. It felt kind of strange, but also very wonderful. "I think avocado on toast!"

Luella smiled. "Sounds good" She finished making tea and placed two cups on the table.

"Thank you" Mai took a sip. Heaven!

"You know, I had always wondered how my son was coping without my tea" Luella looked thoughtful. "Turns out he hired himself an assistant as soon as he came to Japan"

"I doubt my tea even compares!" Mai joked, liking the idea that Naru relied on her.

"Nonsense!" Luella shook her head, taking a sip of her tea. "You know, its said that good tea makers are the best mothers"

"Luella not this again!" Mai blushed. Luella chuckled darkly.

"Well I don't want to wait too long! I wont be able to twirl my future grand-babies if I break a hip first"

"Sounds like I have plenty of time" Mai assured. Then she noticed her mistake and she blushed brighter.

"Oh so you do plan to have my grand-babies!" Luella pulled her in for a gentle hug. "They are going to be so smart and beautiful!"

Mai buried her face in her hands. Of course any kids Naru had would be smart and beautiful...

"Are you feeling a little better now?" Luella asked, letting go. Mai nodded. "Well that's good"

"I'm sorry that I worried you" Mai twitched uncomfortably. She didn't like making people worry.

"We only worry because we care Mai dear" Luella turned away to grab a small container of jam and cream that she also stashed in Mai's house. Not everyone liked these on scones but Mai liked sweet things so she was sure her future daughter-in-law would. Mai felt touched that Luella seemed to care so much about her. She was after-all, the woman sleeping with her son.

"I'm really happy you came to visit" Mai admitted. "And I'm really happy you raised Naru to be the way he is"

"So am I sweetheart"

Sleepy Naru made his way to the kitchen, having woken up to find himself alone in Mai's bed. It made him feel uneasy.

"Naru" Mai called, smiling as he walked in. "Sorry, I was a little hungry"

"It's OK, I was just checking up on you" Naru yawned. He looked really cute in his blue pjs. It kind of reminded her of the time he had brought her tea after her nightmare way back when.

"Sorry my darling, I didn't mean to keep your cuddle companion" Luella teased, but Naru did not look fazed. Mai was pouting.

"Well just try not to do it again" Naru smirked, making his way to Mai and hugging her from behind.
