Chapter 8 ~ The Princesses of Light and Dark ~

Author's Note ~ Ok. Long time. No update on this story and I'm sorry! I was to busy thinking of other chapters and ideas for other things. So. This is what I'm gonna do. I'll ask you all 1 question and there is no right or wrong answer. Question ~ Will Rapunzel and Merida ever get together? Answer this after your done reading. This is Rapunzel's and Merida's P.O.V's after the Autumn ball. ENJOY! ~

Me: Where are Merida and Rapunzel?!

Rapunzel: Here!

Me: Five. Four. Three. Two. Action! ~

Merida's P.O.V ~ I can't believe it. I jus' can't! After all these years, she asks me the one question I'd been dreaming for years! Ever since we met! *Sighs* I'm worried about her. I mean, I know it's forbidden but. She just gets my wheels turnin' every time I think of 'er! Rapunzel is a sweet girl and I wouldn' do anythin' to hurt her. Heck, the last thing I'd do was hurt Punzie. Yet. It seems. She doesn't notice me as much as I would appreciate her to. It does get lonely here and I would LOVE the company. But. I doubt she would ever come near me. After what I did to her.* I would do and give anything to undo what I did. Heck, I'd even laydown my own life! I don' know what's gotten into me.

I don't know what in the dark's name, is even gonna happen. Yet. Some reason. I need to protect Rapunzel. ~ End of point of view ~

Merida was pacing back and forth through an abandoned Scottish palace. Her head was spinning like a top. She was so confused. She remember the first time that she met Rapunzel. She had just gotten off of a relationship with Young Macintosh. Whom happened to be a grim reaper. She was around 416 and she vowed that she would never play out so easily ever again. Yet. She just had to do it. And she didn't regret it. Rapunzel just seemed so different. Rapunzel seemed so kind. So Gentle. So Caring. 'Wait!' She thought, 'Punzie's a being of light! I can't be with 'er!'

Though her heart was telling her otherwise. She remembered their first like it was only yesterday. It was just so clear. ~

Merida and Rapunzel's story ~ "Let go of me!" Merida shouted as her now ex boy-friend's nails dug deep into her skin. "Wha' makes ye think I wan' t'?" He questioned as his eyes turned from their gently purple shade to a deep blood red. Suddenly, a bright flash of light shined in the couple's eyes and the grim reaper disappeared into the darkness. Merida shielded her eyes as the light began to fade to a dim glow.

Merida held onto her now bleeding arm as a girl walked up to her. "Are you ok?" questioned a gentle voice. Merida looked up and swore that she was looking at the sun. "Queen Saloner?" She questioned. The female chuckled and knelt in front of her. "No. Saloner is my mother. I'm Princess Rapunzel. Nice to meet you." Merida smiled then winced in pain when she remembered her arm. Rapunzel looked down and gasped,"Your arm," She said,"What happened?" "Ey. Broke up wit' my boyfriend." Rapunzel gently grabbed Merida's arm and wrapped her hair around the bleeding cuts.

"What ar' ye doing?" Merida questioned. "Just promise me you won't freak out?" Merida nodded as Rapunzel started singing.

"Flower, gleam and glow. Let, your power shine. Make the clock reverse. Bring back what once was mine. Heal what has been hurt. Change the fate's design. Save what has been lost. Bring back what once was mine. The sun is bright. Her brother the moon. His son, the Winter. His love the Autumn. Comes to be together. The moon is dim yet brightly lit. His sister the sun. Her daughter, the Spring. Her love the Summer. Live happily ever after."

After the song, Merida unwrapped her arm from the once glowing golden hair. She gasped in disbelief. "My mother gave me the ability to heal those who are injured and/or sick." "Oh," Merida said simply,"What were those last line 'bout?" Rapunzel looked into Merida's eyes,"A prophecy. About the Day of Placement." There was a moment of silence. Then Rapunzel stood up. "I should go," She said,"My mother is probably worried about where I am." Rapunzel was about to leave when Merida grabbed her arm and kissed her on the lips. They stayed with each other for a moment, then broke away. "Shall I se' Ye again?" Merida questioned. Rapunzel smiled as she kissed Merida's cheek. "Just keep me in your dreams and thoughts. Then we shall find each other again. I promise*." With that Rapunzel left and Merida didn't see her for years on end.

Though, she always had thoughts about her words on hand. "About the Day of Placement." She remembered Rapunzel say and. "Just keep me in your dreams and thoughts. Then we shall find each other again." She never dared to forget those words. She couldn't. Forgetting those simple words. Was like forgetting Rapunzel entirely. And Merida couldn't. Scratch that- wouldn't. Let that happen. Not even if her pure black heart could help it. ~

Author's note ~ Short chapter. I know. Yet, next chapter is Rapunzel's side and how it goes as far as her life. So yea. Kinda a cliffhanger.
