"How did you know that Gokudera is Smoking Bomb Hayato." Reborn continued.
Tsuna smiled weakly at that question. Reborn almost shoot him if Tsuna didn't answer.
"Enlightenment."
"Don't screw with me, Dame-Tsuna." Reborn shot him a rubber bullet which knocked Tsuna out.
"I can't lie to you, Reborn"
Chapter 5
The sound of knocking door awakened Tsuna. Tsuna opened his eyes and was greeted by darkness. It was nothing special. Pitch black always greeted him when he awoke. The so-called color that doesn't have any color would never enough to make him griped the blanket till his knuckles went white. The cause was the pain. His whole body was hurt here and there.
"That Reborn he let me sleep in sitting position! He should've at least lay me down! That ruthless home tutor."
Knock, knock.
The sound of knocking door grabbed Tsuna's attention. He stood up and walked to the door effortlessly despite in the pitch of darkness. Well, some winces here and there aside. He opened the door and was greeted by… a puppy. Before him, Gokudera stood there with his eyes shined brightly.
"Juudaime!" Gokudera called Tsuna with full of admiration.
Tsuna fell into silence. The one who wanted to kill him yesterday, was currently acting like a puppy before him. "What is it, Gokudera? The sun hadn't risen yet."
"My deepest apologize, Juudaime! I need to leave your side for a little while to restock my dynamites." Gokudera bowed perfectly at 90 degree in front of Tsuna.
"I-It's fine. Don't bow your head, Gokudera." Tsuna said as he tapped Gokudera's shoulder.
In an instant, Gokudera's eyes shined brightly. "Juudaime called my name. He called my name. He even tapped my shoulder. What an honor." He was too happy. He was too happy to the point he fell into silence.
"Gokudera?" Tsuna called his name.
"As expected of you, Juudaime!" Gokudera suddenly shouted after he overcame his extreme happiness and made Tsuna jumped a little. "You were able to reduce my dynamites to this point!"
Tsuna stared at him for a while before he smiled and said "I see. Then, be careful"
"Juudaime~" Gokudera became teary and he said again with loud voice "I will, Juudaime!" Gokudera bowed before he left Tsuna.
Tsuna looked at Gokudera 's retreating back with a smile plastered on his face. He closed the door of his apartment room when he couldn't see Gokudera's back anymore.
"You seem to be happy, Dame-Tsuna. Mind sharing them?" A squeaky voice was heard and all trace of smile on Tsuna's face disappeared immediately.
"Reborn!" Tsuna turned to see his so called home tutor just to be greeted by a barrel of gun.
Bam!
Tsuna went panic and took a big step back resulting him to slam the closed door. His back hurts, of course, but the barrel gun in front of him promises more pain. He put his hands straight above his head and took a deep breath to calm himself. Cold sweats were still running down from his face. If a mere deep breath could calm everyone in any circumstances, 'nervous' will go extinct.
"We have some unfinished business, Dame-Tsuna" Reborn said as he stared straight at Tsuna's eyes.
"Uh-oh" Tsuna panicked as he did his best to avert his gaze from Reborn."T-that's why I tell you, it's enlight-"
BANG!
Tsuna immediately shut his mouth tightly when he felt the breeze past him. This is not funny. Even without looking back, he knows very well that the bullet was stuck at his door was missed from him by a hair. He didn't know whether he should sigh in relief since the bullet missed him or- what. He didn't even know how to describe the feeling he felt.
Curiosity kills the cat.
With that one slogan, he did his best to suppress his urge to turn his head. Tsuna could felt cold sweat on his face as he looked at Reborn's straight and deep gaze. Rather than looked at those eyes, he chose to turn his head and see his door's fate.
"How poor of you, my door. Let's hope I don't have such fate so soon" Tsuna grimaced at the thought.
BANG!
"T-The bullet, the bullet past before my eyes! I-I have to say something!" Tsuna thought in panic. He turned his eyes just to cower under Reborn's sharp stare. He closed his eyes tightly in fear.
"I-It's the truth, Reborn! Please trust me! I will never lie to you!" Tsuna said desperately. "After all, if I was caught lying, I will see hell!" Tsuna added mentally.
Without opening his eyes, he could tell that Reborn was going to kick him for irrational answer. But it is the answer. I lie, and I will see hell. I tell the truth, and I will still see hell. A-anyway, he needs to dodge it. There's no doubt it will be painful. He took a deep breath and…
Dashed away!
STOMP!
All of his efforts were futile. Well, not all of it, actually. Thanks to his failed dash, his painful back just become more painful. Well, he half expected it, though. Reborn is called the greatest hitman for reasons. If he missed a kick on no good middle-schooler like Tsuna, he was an imposter, and pretty bad at that.
Tsuna rubbed his sore back and hissed in pain. Due to Reborn's small feet, the force* he felt was more painful. He thought that was the last of Reborn's kick. Well, actually he half-expected it again to get kick once again. Still, he couldn't help but widened his eyes and shrieked as he felt his hand was being stomped.
"IT HURTSS!" Tsuna cried as he waved his hand as if the pain will go away. He turned his head to face Reborn and wanted to protest but, he was silenced by Reborn's kicks on his back.
Tsuna was rolled away on the floor from Reborn as he hit his head, then his back and he was back into sitting position before collapsed on the floor. His eyes were closed.
"Maybe he will stop kicking me if I pretended to be unconscious." Tsuna thought. He didn't know what to say to convince Reborn anymore and decided the thought as a good idea.
Reborn being Reborn, able to read Tsuna's ridiculous thought wondered out loud in purpose. "Maybe I should wake him with Vongola-style."
Tsuna opened his eyes wide when he heard the word Vongola-style. Reborn is crazy. So is everything he does. This 'Vongola-style he heard bid him bad feeling. Tsuna opened his eyes to see..
Reborn was equipped with electrocute pad. All color was drained from Tsuna.
"Oh, you're awake, Dame-Tsuna" Reborn said with innocent look.
"Reborn" Tsuna build up his courage as he stood up and turned his body. "I'm going to late" with that said he went or could be called half ran to the bathroom.
Reborn pulled his fedora to hide his eyes before he shot his rubber bullet at Tsuna's back. Tsuna's reaction? He hissed in pain and rubbed his back where he got shot.
"Don't screw with me, Tsuna. The sun hadn't risen yet, There's no way you will be late"
Tsuna yanked his hair in depression. He knelt down and looked at Reborn's eyes.
"Reborn, Like I sa-" Tsuna left the sentence unsaid as he widened his eyes. He clutched his head as he collapse to the floor. "My head..." Tsuna said desperately, as if to tell the head to stop giving him the unbearable pain.
"Tsuna?" Reborn called as he can do nothing but looked at his suffered no good student.
Tsuna kept groaning in pain here and there. Reborn just stared at his student as he pulled his fedora, wondering if all of this was just an act to escape his questions. If it is, he will tor-, tutor him more harshly.
The room suddenly became quiet. Reborn looked at peaceful face and slumped limb of Tsuna. Reborn observed his student for awhile and decided it wasn't an act. "Fainted from immense pain, huh? As expected of Dame-Tsuna"
'Everyone will be fainted from this! Not just me!' Tsuna would have said that, if he had been conscious.
Reborn pulled his fedora and shadowed his calculative onyx eyes. "Something is off." Reborn thought as he went out of Tsuna's apartment.
Tsuna sighed for nth time in just a few minutes. He was on the walk to his school. His headache acted up at the right time, as he didn't know what to say to Reborn anymore and the headache really helped him back there. Well, the pain is unbearable and he will never get used to it no matter how many times he experienced it.
Tsuna flinched as he remembered the headache. It was hell. His head felt like being cracked open and was being stuffed with something. He shook his head to make the thought disperse. He was grateful that he was fainted and woke up late, so Reborn kindly let the discussion unfinished.
Once again, Tsuna couldn't help himself but to sigh again. He had this unsettled feeling that tell him today will be a tired one.
"What are you sighing, Tsuna?" A cheerful tone was heard by Tsuna.
"Yamamoto?" Tsuna turned his head and smiled crept to his face as he saw the baseball star with his trademark grin. The smile disappeared immediately as he spotted Yamamoto's arm full of bandaged and on the sling. "What happened to your arm?"
Yamamoto's smile stayed still, but Tsuna could see his saddened eyes."This?" Yamamoto looked at his bandaged arm and answered Tsuna "I fell from stairs last night."
Tsuna kept silence as he was looking at Yamamoto's eyes which were still staring at his bandaged arm. The smile still could be seen on Yanmamoto's face, but the sad eyes …
"What a dull smile you have there" Tsuna said gaining Yamamoto's attention.
Tsuna's words caught Yamamoto off guard. Almost immediately, the latter snapped His attention at Tsuna and wanted to ask why is that, but was stunned by what he saw. He gaped at Tsuna before him. "Different" was what Yamamoto thought. Even in his mind, he could only utter one word to describe the Tsuna he was currently looking at.
Before him, Tsuna stood with his back straight, full of confident, which he's never seen it. Tsuna's eyes were staring straight at his. Tsuna's gaze was steady, unwavering, and… beautiful. Yamamoto always looks at people's eyes and it will never impress him, yet Tsuna's eyes were so beautiful. He couldn't avert his gaze from those eyes. Those firm brown eyes yet so warm and kind.
"D-dull? W-what are you talking about, Tsuna?" Yamamoto did his best to speak what in his mind.
"Have you seen your expression today?" Tsuna asked ignoring the question Yamamoto threw at him.
Yamamoto was taken aback by this. Thus, he didn't answer. Tsuna stayed silent and waited for him, but no answer, so he smiled warmly at Yamamoto and said
"Let's skip, Yamamoto"
Which Tsuna regretted immediately. "Oh, No! I said it! Why would I say it!? If Reborn caught me, he will, he will, HE WILL DEFINITELY TORTURE ME!" Tsuna thought in panic. He was still smiling on the outside, but in the back of his mind, he had already rolled on the floor, yanked his hair in frustration, banged his head over and over, and, and…
Yamamoto was stunned at first, but smiled after that. "Ahaha. What if we get caught by Hibari?"
Tsuna narrowed his eyes again at Yamamoto. Tsuna curled his fist tightly. "That fake laughs are pissing me off!"
"Yamamoto, you love baseball, right?" Tsuna asked out of blue.
"O-of course" Yamamoto answered almost immediately with bright eyes which later saddened as he stared his broken arm.
"Do you want to die because your broken arm?" Again, Tsuna's question startled Yamamoto.
"Y-Yeah" Yamamoto answered. His voice was full of venom. "Baseball is everything to me. If I can't play baseball, I rather die"
"Then, follow me, I have a good place for a suicide." Tsuna said as he turned back and started walking.
"Eh?" was Yamamoto's reaction. Tsuna just said he will show him a good place for suicide, right? He didn't hear it wrong, right?
Yamamoto ran to next to Tsuna. "How did you know a place like that?" Yamamoto asked Tsuna which Tsuna didn't need to answer as Yamamoto's eyes widened after awhile. "Don't tell me…"
"I am a no good person who cannot do anything even if it was to die." Tsuna kept walking. His eyes became distant as he recalled his past. He turned to Yamamoto and smiled to him. "Let's go"
"Y-yeah." Yamamoto said and followed Tsuna
Yamamoto kept looking at the smiling Tsuna. Tsuna felt like being stared, and then he turned to see Yamamoto. Seeing Yamamoto's expression, he laughed.
"Ahaha! What a face you're making, Yamamoto! If you're curious, you can just ask."
As Yamamoto realized this, he averted his gaze away from Tsuna's as he stuttered and waved his hand between them. "N-No. It's not something good, right.."
Tsuna once again laughed his heart out when he saw Yamamoto's averted his gaze in panic from a gaped mouth full of curiousty.
"Ts-Tsuna?" Yamamoto called him when he heard laugh instead of answer.
Tsuna smiled when his laugh had calmed down. "If you feel you shouldn't ask because it's not a good memory, don't worry about it. My pasts mean nothing but obstacles I had already overcame. I have no attachment with it."
Again, those stern brown eyes held Yamamoto captive. Those eyes are stern but soft. Cold, but warmed him. Glinted with malice but they looked teary. What a paradoxical eyes. When Tsuna broke the eye contact, Yamamoto sighed in relief or you could say he exhaled the breath he held in.
"Since our walk will be long, I will tell you my little story to entertain you." Tsuna smiled.
"Tsuna.." Yamamoto said as he looked at him with guilty stare.
"He is really a no good person! He cannot do anything!" A boy was laughing his heart out.
"Tsuna and no good is a perfect match!" Again, another boy insulted him.
He was used to this. The brown hair boy was used to be insulted like this. He didn't feel anything at all. When he heard those insults, he will just stare at them with his doe eyes innocently.
"Really, whether you live or not, you won't make any difference!" Another insult was thrown at him again.
Well, whatever they say, he won't care. He was used to these to the point it won't affect him anymore.
'It won't… affect me.' He said to himself as he kept hearing those insults.
"I wonder if there was someone out there who loves a no good person like you" a boy wondered out loud as he snickered.
Tsuna's eyes brightened up and his head shot up at the boy. "O-Of course! My mom loves me!"
The boys who insulted him smirked. The no good boy was so sensitive when it comes to his mom. They have asked the last question recently, but the boys couldn't find a way to deny it. Everyone knows that Sawada Nana, No-Good Tsuna's mother loves Tsuna sincerely. But, it's different, now.
"Is that so? Tonight, He will come, right? I bet your beloved mother will forgot you!"
"And left you alone tonight" another boy continued.
"N-No.." Tsuna couldn't deny it. It was true after all. His face became teary as he ran away from there. He still could hear the laughing behind him.
'No!'
Tsuna kept running as he kept denying their statements. He ran and ran and ran. He just wanted to get home faster. He wanted to prove that their statement was wrong. His pant kept increasing along with his exhaustion. But he pay no heed to that. Home. He needs to get to home fast.
As the familiar house came into sight, he couldn't help to let a smile crept to his face. He rushed into his house and said cheerfully
"I'm home!"
Which was greeted by silence and darkness. His smile crumbled in an instant. He hid his eyes under his bangs as he went into the house. Slowly and soullessly, he climbed the stairs and went to his room.
After he closed his door, his feet gave away as he sat beside the door. He brought his hands and stared at them. He clenched them tightly and sunk his head into his own hands as he muttered one word softly and desperately
"Why…"
Tsuna opened his eyes and was greeted by his own feet. He could see his own hands laid next to him limply. He concluded he fell asleep. He stood up and opened the door as he heard his stomach grumbled. He went to kitchen to grab something edible. He didn't want to expect anything. But, still, he was disappointed as he looked at the same scene.
The darkness and unbearable silence. He felt no one's presence. He hated this feeling. Something was uncomfortable inside his chest. It was vast, yet he felt like wanted to be freed. It was the silence he always asked from the boys at the park, but it felt like something's off.
Tsuna didn't know why, but his feet had brought him to the outside. The blue night sky spread gracefully above him. A graceful sky decorated by a few stars and clear of clouds. He couldn't avert his attention away from that rare sight he was currently seeing.
"What are you doing?" Tsuna heard a grumpy voice said just before he bumped into someone and fell behind.
"I-I'm sorry." Tsuna said as he looked up at the person he bumped into.
He was a boy around the same age as Tsuna. He had raven hair. Tsuna just knew about that and ignored other appearance of the boy as he immersed into the other boy's midnight blue eyes. 'Beautiful' was only word Tsuna could think of.
"You are in the way." The boy said as he kicked Tsuna away.
Tsuna felt a kick on his body and flinched. He scrambled away as he said "I-I'm so sorry."
The raven boy looked at the retreating back of brunet boy. He narrowed his eyes at the boy. But, he shrugged it off awhile after and turned his heels as walked ahead without looking back at the past brunet.
Tsuna also didn't look back. He voluntarily let his feed lead the way as his eyes stared into nothing. His mind was void. His hand swayed limply beside his body. He had enough of these. He wanted to end this.
Tsuna's legs wanted to gave away, but he held it back. 'Just a little bit more' that thought was the only one he relied on at that time. He kept forcing his feet to walk. He didn't know why he kept dragging his feet. He felt like he needed to.
When he finally reached his destination, he sat down immediately on the ground. He bathed in sweat and was panting. He looked up and saw a big shrine his feet dragged him to. The way he had gone through was so tiring, especially the staircase which the reason he couldn't utter a word but pant.
He didn't know why he came here. He just needed to be here. Something. There's something he needed to do here. But he didn't know what it is. Anyway, here he is. He laid on the cold ground of the shrine and stared at the vast sky before him. It was blocked by grey clouds.
He closed his eyes as his pants started to calm down. It was peaceful. The night breeze was cold, but it calmed him. All he could see was black, but it comforted him. His body was relaxing as he was almost drown into the depth of his consciousness.
"What are you doing here?"
Tsuna's eyes immediately snapped open as the familiar stern voice that greeted his ears.

*In case readers don't know, in middle school's (at my country, I learnt it in middle school) physics, it was said the wider the broad, the less the pressure (the force we felt. Sorry for my bad English). Just like how needle can stab us while book can't, even though we give same force.
Phew…

By the way, I'm sorry for previous chapter's note. I typed "even though there's none for my first four reviewers". That was typos.
