Dangerous blood chapter 7

" Um, Austin?! W-who's that? " Ally asked him. Her gaze absurved Elizabeth and for a, to her, unknown reason she felt frightened. It was like, that girl didn't want her there. She saw how excited Austin was to see her, but Ally felt rejected. The girl didn't even seem to notice Ally, she was more focused on Austin. Ally felt jealous. It was hard to admit it, but she really did. She loved how caring and kind Austin was to her, she loved the way he helped her and wanted to know more about her. But she also didn't like it at all.

Think about it. He was supernatural, well so was she, but he's going to live forever and she isn't. She's going to grow old and die eventually. Well at least that's how she saw it. She had no idea about his plan of killing her, about the sacrifice which he had to make. The one he was forced to make. So that was her reason. She knew he probably won't stick around.

" Oh, this is Elizabeth " Austin said looking at Ally, " and Elizabeth this is Ally ". Elizabeth's eyes opened wide and she moved her hand. Ally felt some pressure in her head and her eyes closed, making her only see darkness. She lost balance and felt herself falling down.

A million thoughts ran through her mind. What was going on with her? She wondered if it was the Elizabeth girl making her louse conscience. She felt her mind going into darkness, it was strange but she really felt it. It was like closing your eyes at night, after having a day full of excited and exhausting stuff and just wanting to sleep. Only the way she felt it was forced into her.

She never hit the ground though. He was there to catch her before she could. That's all she remembers because from that point on she went into full unconscious phase.

He lifted her up so that she was in his arms and he was carrying her bridal stile. He felt it was right though, it felt as if it was meant to be. Maybe it was. " Elizabeth, why did you just do that? " He spoke up a bit angry. Okay, fine, he was more than only a little bit angry but he couldn't help it. Even if Elizabeth was one of the only people he trusted, Ally was still his number one priority and the most important person to him. He doesn't understand why, he just knows that she is.

" Just follow me and I'll explain everything " The witch said and headed towards where Ally's personal library was. He didn't want to obey but decided to follow along anyways. It better be a good explanation or else.

So as he followed his dear old friend, he just couldn't help but stare at the unconscious girl in his arms. He was fascinated by her astonishing beauty and the fact that she was her natural self. Perfect in every way. He wished that he could go back and kill Clare himself before IT happened. The reason why he had to bring her back.

*** Flashback ***

The banging on the door was getting louder and she was pacing back and forth. This was it, her final day. The day which people will remember as the day of the dead. Of course, she couldn't just die without a plan. She always had a plan and this time death was her plan. Strange, for a girl who wants to live forever.

He was watching her, worried. The worry wasn't real but he had to feel it. He was forced to feel it. He didn't know that really, but the feeling was forced out of him. He had to care for the girl he watched move across the room, over and over again. He just had to care for her. " I'm sure it will all be fine " He told her. He wanted her to feel batter.

She smiled at his attempt to lighten to mood, even though it didn't really work. She smiled because she was in love with him, it was strange to know he will never feel the same way. It was recognisable though. " Thank you Austin, but that's quite alright. I know how this is going to end, one way or another " She was so polite... To him. She learned to be happy and learned to love, but once again only him.

What happened was, Clare had power. She was amog the most powerful vampires there were. She had her own witch, her loyal boyfriend, her servants, even her people. They weren't all loyal though. The which was her close friend so she didn't really mind, Austin had a spell on him and not much could be changed there, but the servants were human and were compelled into working for her and her people were envious of her and her power.

The big war which she started was the war in which she would not only end up ruling the vampire population, but also the human, werewolf or any other living thing on earth. The vampires had separated into two groups, one was on Clare's side and wanted all human's to become their slaves and expose vampires completely. The other, bigger group decided that it's best for vampires to stay hidden. They actually saw that if people knew what they were they would all wind up dead. They weren't wrong really, they were quite right.

The ones who wanted her to succeed were pretty confident that it's the right thing to do. Some of which were her friends, others were just some random vampires who decided to follow her lead plus there were also those who wanted to have power over the world. They were all aware of the position Clare was in right now, death knocking on her door. Not that they bothered to do anything about it, they didn't want to wind up dead for her.

The knocking and banging on the door got louder and she knew it was almost time. Her gaze found her love and she invited him over to take a seat next to her. He obeyed. " Listen to me Austin, this is very important " She spoke out slowly, making sure he can hear every word. " I'm listening Clare " He told her, quite eager to hear what she had to say. " Alright, I know what my future holds, there's no holding back anymore so I'm going to ask you for one last request " She gazed into his eyes and couldn't help but smile. Her loyal little boy, oh how she's going to miss him. Her smile faded knowing deep inside that he won't exactly miss her once she's gone but she hoped. " Once I'm gone I want you to wait, until the girl who has my blood running through her veins appears. Befriend her, protect her, keep her alive " She let out sigh and looked away " Then when the time is right bring her to The lake of the Bloody Moon and I'll be there but " She looked at him " I will not be alive, but with the help of a friend I will be there, just barely living. You'll have to give me her blood, let me drink every single drop of it. And I'll be back. "

" You will? " His voice, full of hope, rang through the room. " Of course Austin. You will do this for me right?! " She was a devious little soul. He knew he had to do it. Her last order for him, why should he do it after she's dead? The curse should be off by then. Then again with a little bit of black magic anything is possible, isn't it? So Clare just had Elizabeth figure out how to make sure she could tell him to do one last thing for him to do after she's gone. Elizabeth was good with spells and black magic so she figured it out very quickly. " I would do anything for you Clare "

She felt relived that she could at least rest now. She stood up and walked across the room, heading toward a brown old wooden box. She opened it, aware of his gaze that seemed to follow every single move she made, and brought out an old dagger. She decided to take one last look at him " Goodbye Austin, see you soon " and that was it. The dagger went into her heart, she put it there. Austin couldn't believe what he was seeing, panic and fear took over. " Noo! " he was going to rush to her side. To do something. To try to stop that from happening. He couldn't though. He got up but he felt pressure in his head and dropped on the ground almost instantly. His head pounded, his body shook and his heart was out of it's place.

His mind was setting back into place realizing everything he wanted and everything he truly desired. His body was taking in all the actions he tried to do but didn't because something else forced him to do otherwise. His heart was finding love, the thing he lost but needed the most. Most importantly, he was finding himself. The person who had been lost for a long time.

*** End of flashback ***

He set down the beautiful girl on the most comfterble place he could come across and placed a kiss on her forth head. His hand crossed her cheek, stroking it and admiring the beauty that is scattered to perfectly all along her. It scared him how strong his feelings for here were... Whatever that meant. It was just frightening but he didn't really care, he just knew she was important to his heart.

" So explain " His voice was strong, anger showing well. The girl standing across the room was careful not to piss him off even more. She knew she obviously pushed his buttons, not that she had intention of doing that but she could feel it. " I think you know that you have to tell this girl what's going to happen to her " her voice was firm but careful. Just to make sure she was implying to what he thought she was implying to, he looked at her. Standing up, he walked over to her " I thought you were here to bring Clare back, not try and stop her from returning. After all, once she's be back and finally gets what she wants you'll be the second most powerful person alive, won't you? "

" Austin, you know very well I don't want her back any more than you do but I can't stop what's already in progress. What's done is done, the only thing we can do is sabotage "

" Sabotage? " he looked at her as if she was crazy "What are you talking about Liz? "

" I'm talking about everything going wrong. If Ally escapes, then somebody will surely find her and there sure are a lot of people after her. So they'll kill her and Clare won't come back. Or we could even make it more simple, we just kill her now " She started to walk over to the unconscious girl only to be stopped by him. He couldn't bear the thought of Ally getting hurt, it killed him inside and out. " Don't even try to " " Austin, she's still in your head. Once this girl dies everything goes back to normal " She knew she was going to have to talk him into killing her. " No, nothing goes back to normal. If Ally dies nothing's going to be right anymore. The stars won't shine the way they do anymore. Beautiful music won't sound as beautiful anymore. The best thing in the world will suck, only because she won't be there. My life won't be worth living if she's not there to stand next to me "

Elizabeth stared at him, not sure if what she heard was right. " Austin, what are you saying? " she was quite aware of what she heard escape him lips, but refused to believe it. She hoped that maybe he was just messing with her, trying to lighten up the mood after talking about death and Clare, however she knew he wasn't. He was serious about this. " I'm trying to say how ... I guess I, um, maybe... Ugh! I care about her, Alright! I honestly care about her " He yelled, the words just bursting out by force. He needed to hear it out loud and face the truth. He felt it. He definitely did. He definitely felt something, he just wasn't truly sure what it was yet. He was going to find out though, eventually.

Elizabeth stared at him, a shocked expression covering her face " You 'Care' about her? ". Austin couldn't help but nod, signifying that it's what he said. " Yes, I care about her " He dropped his arms and walked over to the spot where he had left her, kneeling down next to her as he reached her. His gaze absurved her face, determinant to find any sign of her hopefully soon awaking. He found her eyes flickering and smiled. She kept them closed but he knew she was coming to.

Elizabeth was having an argument with herself, trying to put it all together. She knew he was eventually going to have to let go of Ally, there was just too much at risk.

Ally coughed as the fact that she had to breathe kicked her in the guts. Austin carefully patted her on the back to help her get the air she required. " What happened? " She whispered, keeping her eyes closed at all times. " Don't worry about it, just try to relax " He told her, rubbing her back gently and taking her hand into his other one. He never noticed how warm her skin was, he could get used to feeling her touch. It gave him a warm feeling inside his chest and sped up his heartbeat. It was all new and too good to be true. He could hardly believe it himself. " You're so warm " He found himself telling her as his mind started to think about it. " It doesn't feel like it " She muttered under her breath but he heard her. It didn't take long for him to take his jacket off and warp it around her upper half, sliding it on her shoulders as he wrapped his arms around her.

She was in his arms now, safe. Well as safe as he could keep her and he could keep her very safe. It was up to him, after all, to protect her from everything and everyone. Part of him was forced to do it due to Clare's last wish, however there was a part of him that just genuelly cared for that girl that was now in the safety of his arms. He rubbed her arms, ever so softly, and made sure that she wasn't feeling cold. So now he felt it again. He felt how she felt again. Why was that happening? He felt the safety he provided her, he felt her feel it. He felt the stretching feeling around her heart, refered to as relief. He just felt it, no explanations. It was just there. There for him to feel and for her to provide. The thing that made him smile the most was the feeling of hers that he felt. A very special feeling. The one he felt as well. The one he refered to as 'care', when in reality it was something else.

It was non the less then love. Simple, plain, love. Not much could be said about it really, but theirs was there. Mutual. And boy was it wrong that they felt it.

" Better? " He whispered after a while.

She nodded her head, doing her best not to fall asleep due to how comfterble that was.

" Good " He told her " Just tell me if you need something "

" I will " she said and moved her head, finally getting it into the right position that made it perfect for her to relax. Though the fact that she felt his breath on her ear, was not quite as relaxing as you might think. In fact it made her very nervous, to the point where she wasn't sure if her heart beat got too loud. But, hey, she didn't really care because it was none the less then him who it was meant for and who heard it.
