Yuuko dried her hands off with the dish rag, an annoyed look on her face. After eating supper, she had wanted to get right back to reading the new shounen-ai manga she had brought just yesterday night; but, as usual, she had to wash the dishes. Sometimes, her brother had a way with words that got her to do his bidding... For example, since he did all the housework and made all three of their meals, he forced her to help a little by washing the dishes. She didn't like it, but it was only fair.
She sighed, setting the rag down as she started heading out of the kitchen. Yuuko passed Hideyoshi, her younger brother glancing over at her as she walked away. Before she knew it, he suddenly had his arms wrapped around her body as he pressed his head against her shoulder. "Hideyoshi?" Yuuko asked him, a blush intruding upon her face uninvited.
"Sis," He began, still keeping his arms wrapped tight around her body, "can we stay like this for a moment or two?" Hideyoshi's voice was coming softly into her ear, Yuuko sensing slight unease within her twin.
"Idiot," She muttered; though, even if she was calling him that, she still made no move to get out of his embrace, "what do you think you're doing all of a sudden?" She stood still, keeping her arms at her side and her face facing ahead instead of looking back at him.
"It's been a while since we've been like this, has it not, sis?" He asked, his voice having a slight ting of longing in it.
Yuuko glanced back at him finally, her eyes catching the sight of his closed eyes and his own pink blush that laid upon his cheeks. She knew what he meant by his words, remembering how long it's been since they've embraced each other. She wondered why he was bringing it up now, thinking that maybe there was something going on that she didn't know about.
"Hideyoshi, let me go." She told him sternly, his eyes opening wide and revealing just a small trace of shock before reverting to sadness. He slowly released his grip on her, turning his head away from her so she wouldn't see that his eyes were starting to get watery at her rejection.
His eyes widened once more with shock when he felt Yuuko's arms embracing him, her hand gently setting his head up against her shoulder once more. A smile formed on his face as he brought up his arms to hug her back, a tear falling down from his eyes.
"Is there anything you need to talk about, dearest brother of mine?" She asked, her voice soft and gentle in his ear.
Hideyoshi sniffled, his hold on her tightening as he pressed his head against her shoulder. "N-no, I-I'm alright now, sis." He told her, his smile growing even as more tears fell down his face. He was overjoyed to see his sister showing such warmth and care for him, despite the way she has been of late. That joy caused the water in his eyes to fall down, forming droplets that ran down against his cheeks.
"Well then, let's just stay like this for a moment or two." She told him, her lips brushing against his cheek.
"Y-yeah..."
