The saiyans aboard the Warrior's Reckoning had been training overtime. Each training session was doubled as was the intensity. It got so intense that in one session, everyone thought Bardock had died from exhaustion before he started breathing again. Their bodies were beat up and tired but Turles predicted, through calculations, that healing up in the chambers one more time should provide enough of a zenkai boost for Bardock to be able to fight Cooler somewhat evenly…hopefully. All four of the saiyans limped into their respective healing chambers and sighed as they sat down to wait for the liquid to fill it.

Nappa rubbed a black eye he had earned in the last training session, "Well, I guess the next time I'll see you guys is back on Planet Vegeta."

Turles spoke up, "We're going to have our own battle ahead of us against the Armored Squadron. Stay sharp."

Vegeta crossed his arms, "They will relearn why they chose us as their mercenaries in the first place and pay for all the saiyan blood they've spilt!"

Bardock was barely conscious so he didn't have anything to say. The liquid began to fill their chambers and they saiyans drifted off into a medically induced partial-coma.

Bardock found himself floating in nothingness. Then he saw Planet Vegeta in front of him, shining like a lone ruby in a treasure chest. Suddenly it exploded into burning pieces of rock. Bardock's heart dropped as he saw his home planet explode in front of him. Malicious laughter rang out among the debris of the planet. Cooler appeared from the darkness, still laughing at the destruction he caused. Bardock transformed into a super saiyan and flared his aura outwards. Cooler stopped laughing and powered up as well. His eyes glowed red and his dark aura overtook the surrounding area. They both clashed as a bright light made it hard to see. The next thing Bardock knew, he was on a different planet. He didn't really recognize it but the sky was green and the grass was blue. The word 'Namek' flashed in his head. Ah. Now he knew, this was the home planet of the Namekian race. He had only seen a few here and there but he had never been to their home planet. Come to think of it, why was he having a vision about this? A figure appeared in a gust of wind, their back was facing him. They were wearing the typical Frieza Force armor. Upon closer inspection Bardock noticed that they had the same hairstyle as him.

'Could it be?', he thought.

The figure turned around and grinned at him, "Hey pops, what's up?"

Bardock rubbed his eyes, "Kakarot?"

His second born son was a grown man and was even sporting a red headband like him. He saw Gine's face in him when he grinned; if only she could see him now.

"Yup, its me," Kakarot's face grew serious, "Hey listen, I don't need to tell you that this battle is important right? This will set off a chain of events that cannot be undone."

He felt someone behind him, when he turned around he saw that it was Raditz. He too, was older but he wasn't wearing full armor. It's like he started replacing the armor with more casual orange clothing.

"You must give it your all father, show Cooler the legendary super saiyan."

The background shifted to Planet Vegeta and now both Kakarot and Raditz were in front of him now. They both had blank expressions and spoke unanimously, "The fate of Planet Vegeta, the saiyan race and the Cold Clan rest in your hands."

A bright light flashed behind his sons and a large ball of fire ripped its way through the sky. The main city of Vegeta was destroyed by the shockwave and the ground collapsed around him as energy began pouring out of the cracks. Bardock screamed as the fire overtook him.

Bardock woke to the sound of beeping around him. It was the rejuvenation chamber alerting him that it was draining. That also meant that they were approaching Planet Vegeta very shortly. He quickly rose out of the chamber and slipped his armor back on; he decided to go for his trademark green and black armor which had been repaired by Cacao and Turles. As a finishing touch, he tied his bandana onto his head. Even after five years, it was still stained with Tora's blood; it served as a reminder of the stakes of the upcoming battle.

Vegeta and Nappa still had about 30 minutes left on their cycles. Bardock walked towards the bridge and found Turles. His half brother was looking out into the black void with his arms crossed.

"You know you resemble our father a lot when you brood like that."

Turles grunted, "Ever since the saiyans moved from Planet Sadala, we've been under the thumb of the accursed Cold Clan. It's time we put a stop to their reign."

"I'll take care of Cooler, you three can take on the Armored Squadron."

"We should all face against Cooler in the end, also we have a revived Frieza to worry about."

"I'll just finish him before he's completed healing so he never gets a chance to fight."

Turles grunted, "My computer also told me that Broly is currently on a different planet. I wonder if that means your sons are too?"

Bardock sighed, "If we go after them now, Vegeta will probably be destroyed in the meantime. We'll get them later, I'm sure they can handle themselves."

Turles turned back towards the monitor, 'I'm more concerned about what will happen if Broly goes on his own unchecked for too long.'

Master Roshi stared at the young teen who was on the lab table. He had just done the impossible, he had defeated King Piccolo when other martial artists couldn't even scratch him. He didn't know where he came from but he could sense untapped power within him. After the battle, he had summoned the Flying Nimbus to carry the teen and Tien but they both fell through it. He had mused that neither was pure but then again, neither was he anymore. He carried them on his back, it was the least he could do for them.

He found a group of people outside of a yellowing building with the words "Capsule" on it. Roshi pushed his way through the crowd and saw a short man with grey hair in a lab coat. He found out that Tien and the mysterious person had saved the scientist's daughter so he was more than willing to help them heal up. That's where they are now. He turned to the man in the lab coat, "Let me know when they wake up, will you?"

"Sure, but what are you going to do?"

Master Roshi chuckled and a mischievous grin appeared on his face, "I'm gonna hit up some ladies to celebrate!"

The man's sweat dropped, "Good luck with that…"

Bulma walked in the lab and pointed at Raditz, "Dad, have you seen his armor and that head piece?"

Dr. Briefs lit a cigarette and crossed his arms, "Indeed, they both have materials that can't be found on the Periodic Table and they're highly advanced to boot."

"He also has a tail, maybe he's mutant?"

"The boy with the three eyes is a mutant, I've heard about a tribe of humans with three eyes that used to live out in the Far East. I've never heard about anyone with tails running around."

Bulma pursed her lips in thought, "Maybe he's a frozen caveman who got thawed out?!"

Dr. Briefs laughed, "Ohoho, maybe that's the case, that or Dr. Slump is up to some shenanigans again."

Raditz stirred and slowly opened his eyes. His body felt heavy and his vision was blurry. He realized he was on a table in some kind of lab and panicked, "Oh Hell no, you're not dissecting me!"

He began charging a ki blast aimed at the people in front of him.

Frantically, Dr. Brief waved his hands around, "Woah! No need for that!"

Bulma threw a wrench at the saiyan's head, "Calm down you dummy!"

The wrench bounced off of Raditz's head with a clang. He immediately grabbed his head and rolled off of the table. He then felt a crack in his arm and both his legs and screamed in pain.

"Now now, lets all calm down," Dr. Brief took a syringe and injected some clear liquid into Raditz, "This should help with the pain…I mean I think, you're not a human, are you?"

He sighed, "That feels better and no, I'm not a human but we're similar as a species."

"Interesting! What is your species called? Where are you from?"

Raditz hesitated, when they heard the truth, he might be shunned and rightfully so. He had fully intended to conquer this planet and get rich quick. In fact, why was he deviating from that at all? Maybe he wasn't as cut out for the planet trade business like he thought he was? No that can't be it, he's taken out a couple of planets already. All this confliction was giving him a headache.

"Uh, my name is Raditz. I'm a saiyan from Planet Vegeta. We are a race of warriors who travel to different planets and conquer them for money."

An awkward amount of silence passed by before Bulma shrieked, "That's awful!"

Raditz shrugged, "Maybe so but it's been our way of life for a very long time now."

"But then why did you save me and Tien?"

"Don't flatter yourself, it was because I had a bigger grudge against that Green Man who blew up my ship!"

Bulma picked up another wrench, "Ugh you're the worst! I think you should leave now!"

That stung a little but he couldn't blame her; he had a lot of blood on his hands. That didn't mean he was going to apologize either though, he was a proud saiyan and that's what they did for a living. Granted he wasn't entirely sure what he was going to do now that his ship was destroyed. They heard footsteps from the entrance of the door; Master Roshi stepped in with a sheepish grin a red mark in the shape of a hand on his face.

"I guess city women don't appreciate world class martial artists, heh oh well."

His face turned serious, "I overheard what was going on. You have my thanks for saving our world by defeating King Piccolo but if you're going to turn around and sell it, I can't let you do that."

Raditz took a step back involuntarily, "Look, I couldn't do that if I wanted to, my space-pod got blown up when I landed. I'm more or less stranded here!"

Dr. Briefs' ears perked up, "Space-pod? And where might this space-pod be?"

"Ok I know where this is going. How about this, I'll bring you the parts to my ship and I'll give you what's left of my armor. I'm keeping my scouter though. In return, I want to be able to stay on this planet with no funny business on your part."

Raditz flew towards the outskirts of the city where his pod was blown up. Due to his lingering injuries, he could only fly at half speed. Half of his body was wrapped up in bandages and Bulma had forced a bunch of pills down his throat for the pain.

'Gods, I wish this planet had a healing chamber,' Raditz lamented to himself.

He grabbed all the semi-functional parts that he could and flew back to the yellow building. He dropped them off in front of Dr. Briefs who could not contain his excitement. He mentioned how this could boost humanities technology several decades. Bulma was still avoiding him somewhat. When asked about the armor, Raditz simply removed all of it right then and there so he was simply in his undergarments and his scouter. Bulma turned red but couldn't help but take glances at his well-defined body.

As he turned to leave Master Roshi stepped up to him, "Where will you go now?"

"I'm not sure, I guess I'll go explore or maybe I'll form a bandit group and claim some desert as my territory."

Roshi raised his eyebrow, "How would you like to become stronger?"

"No offense, old man, but I'm about 5 times stronger than you. What could you teach me about strength?"

The old man replied, "You have brute strength and raw power but no technique whatsoever."

Raditz shrugged, "I'm not a high-class saiyan, what do I need technique for?"

"If you're this strong currently, imagine how strong you'd be if you refined what you now? The art of martial arts can increase your abilities tenfold or more."

Now Raditz was intrigued; with that kind of power, he would be stronger than any of those pompous elites. He wanted to be able to fight his father on even footing, super saiyan or not.

Roshi raised one finger, "However, you must refrain from committing acts of evil starting now."

"I'm sorry, what now?"

"I know that conquering worlds is your people's way of life but here on Earth, we try to be relatively peaceful," he pointed to Tien who was still asleep, "He was an assassin who took many lives but renounced that lifestyle when his master died."

"You're asking me to give up my way of life and turn my back on my pride as a saiyan warrior!"

Raditz was pissed at the bold request that this old man was asking of him. What would be left of his pride as a saiyan?

Master Roshi stroked his beard, this wasn't going to be as easy as he thought. His hotheadedness reminded him of Shen when he was younger. An idea popped in his head though, his people respected strength more than anything. Maybe the solution was simpler than he was making it.

"Let's fight right here and now then. If you win, I'll leave you alone but if I win, you have to at least train with me for a week."

Raditz couldn't help but grin at that, "Your power level is 350 at best! Even in my weakened state, I should be able to beat you!"

Master Roshi dropped into a stance and motioned for Raditz to come at him. Raditz took a swing at the old man but he simply ducked under it. Raditz growled and tried kicking him but Roshi grabbed his leg and vaulted over his head. The saiyan stomped his foot and broke the ground underneath him. The now uneven ground caught the old man off guard and he stumbled as he landed. His arm reached out for the closest thing he could find and pulled hard so that he could keep his balance.

Raditz felt all of his energy drain from him immediately as a shooting pain exploded from behind him.

"Y-You grabbed my tail, you bastard!"

"Huh, well would you look at that?"

Raditz fell to the ground and groaned, what a humiliating way to be defeated. No matter how far the saiyans have progressed, they still have this stupid weakness as a default; Bardock would be so disappointed that he hadn't worked on his pain tolerance for his tail.

Roshi gave his tail another quick pull, "Well, I guess I win this battle which means you have to at least participate in a few training sessions with me."

"Yeah whatever but first I have a request."

"Hm? What is it?"

"Do you have any pants I could borrow?"
