Chapter 9

Ancient Echidna Pleasure

"It sure feels good to come out to the Mystic Ruins just to sit back and unwind under the shade of a tree." said Yoshi while gazing at the bright blue sky. Since there wasn't much for him to do during the past week, Yoshi decided on having time alone to himself for some well deserved rest and relaxation. After an entire day of travelling across Mobius, he chose to take a break in the Mystic Ruins for a time being.

However, it wouldn't last very long.

"Hey you, Yoshi!" called out Knuckles while running up to him.

"I'm busy resting Knuckles, what is it?" asked Yoshi as he sat up.

"I need your help, it's the Master Emerald."

"What about it?"

"It's been acting rather weird lately. It's not responding to me like it usually does, plus the Chaos Emeralds aren't working like they're suppose to."

"What does that have to do with me?"

"As crazy as this sounds, I've been seeing recurring images of you inside the Master Emerald, Yoshi."

Yoshi was confused. All the stuff that Knuckles was telling him about the emeralds made absolutely no sense to him. While he himself has used their power before, never once did he ever imagine that something like this would happen.

"This is a serious problem. If the emeralds aren't working properly, then we better get to the bottom of this."

"Well we're not gonna get anywhere by standing around, let's go."

Later on...

After a rather long travel, Yoshi and Knuckles had finally arrived on Angel Island and began heading to the Emerald altar.

Once they had made it, Yoshi followed Knuckles up the steps of the altar until they eventually reached the top. There, right before Yoshi's eyes, was the Master Emerald itself sitting perfectly still in one spot.

Upon taking a closer look at it, Yoshi was surprised when he saw what appeared to be a 3D image of himself within the Emerald like Knuckles had previously told him.

"Hmm, how long has this been going on?" Yoshi asked.

"For about two weeks." Knuckles said.

"I see, so what'll happen if I touch it?"

"Go ahead and find out."

Yoshi stepped up closer to the emerald and placed his hands on it. Suddenly, the Master Emerald began to glow with an extremely bright light which forced Knuckles and Yoshi to close their eyes. Yoshi on the other hand, due to his contact with the emerald, was completely engulfed by the light.

But surprisingly after the light cleared away, Knuckles uncovered his eyes to see that Yoshi had mysteriously disappeared.

"Where'd he go?" Knuckles wondered while looking around.

Yoshi slowly reopened his eyes once the light was gone. He saw that he was still touching the Master Emerald like before, but upon examining his surroundings, he noticed something rather peculiar. The altar had what appeared to be a large fountain of water flowing from and around it on the outside. Stationed around the outside of the altar were seven large pillars with each of the seven Chaos Emeralds perched on top of them. Yoshi removed his hands off the emerald and walked up near the steps to take a better look at the area.

"This doesn't seem right, everything looks so different all of a sudden. The altar looks like it's been refurbished, and I surely don't remember this water or those pillars being here before." Yoshi said while feeling puzzled.

"*giggles* You sound surprised." said a soft feminine voice.

Yoshi turned around towards the source of the voice and came face to face with a beautiful and very peaceful looking female orange echidna wearing a white tank top, a tribal dress, white sandals with white straps around her legs and feet, cobalt blue wrist bracelets, whit gloves, a golden tiara-like band with an elliptical jewel in the center, a golden necklace, a golden brace on her upper right arm and some white bandages.

"Wait a minute, Sonic once told me about you, aren't you Tikal?" Yoshi asked.

"Yes I am, Yoshi." she answered with a smile.

"Whoa, how did you know my name?"

"I've known about you for quite some time since you last used the emeralds."

"The one time I ever used the emeralds was when me and Sonic went Super while fighting against a giant killer robot created by Dr Eggman."

"I take it that was the first time you ever used them?"

"Yes, it was. But there's something I need to know."

"You're still wondering why you're here, are you not?"

He stayed silent for a short second before speaking again.

"Um, yeah."

Tikal went walking towards Yoshi until she was standing up close to him.

"There's a reason why, Yoshi."

She reached her arms forward and took one of Yoshi's hands in her own, caressing it gently.

"It's because...I need you." she said softly with a smile.

Yoshi's face: O_O

Yoshi was both perplexed and outright shocked. Here he was, standing in front of a beautiful echidna girl who had just said that she needed him. And judging from how she spoke, it was clearly a romantic gesture.

"You...you need me?" asked the befuddled reptile.

"Yes, I do."

"What for?"

"A special ritual."

"What kind of special ritual?"

She raised his hand up to her lips and kissed it softly, making him blush.

"You see, while a guardian such as myself is chosen every few centuries, there comes a special time in life where a guardian mates with a hero, like you, whom has used, respected and understood the power of the emeralds." Tikal explained.

Yoshi's blush intensified, up to the point where he was as red as even Knuckles.

"B-b-but why would you choose me?" he questioned her again.

The smile on her face remained as she continued.

"I chose you because of how well you limited your use of the Chaos Emeralds."

"But I only used them once."

"*giggles* I know. But I also chose you because of your good heart...your compassion...and-"

"And what?"

Tikal let go of Yoshi's hand and gently proceeded to bring Yoshi's face towards hers.

"And...your sensitivity."

With those words said, Tikal closed her eyes and pursed her lips before pressing them against Yoshi's ever so softly. Yoshi went wide eyed with surprise at this sudden feeling, even more so when Tikal embraced him around his neck and rubbed her chest on his.

But as Tikal continued to kiss him, Yoshi began to return the kiss when he wrapped his warm arms around her.

About two hours later, Tikal had led Yoshi to her private bedroom located near the shrine. Once there, after removing their clothes, Yoshi and Tikal would go about resuming their kiss on the bed, which turned more passionate as Tikal managed to slide her tongue into Yoshi's mouth, playing with his own tongue.

Yoshi went about rubbing one hand along her breasts, pausing every few seconds to squeeze her nipples between his fingers, erecting a moan from the echidna, who rolled Yoshi over on his back and moved on top of him. Riddled with exhaustion and drenched with sweat, Yoshi fell backwards on the bed while still holding Tikal in his arms.

An hour later...

"So he just like...disappeared?" asked a confused Mighty.

"Yeah. I mean one minute he touched the emerald, then suddenly he just disappeared in a bright light." said Knuckles.

"Color me shocked, but this is all kinda...creepy." said Vector.

"Where do you think he disappeared to?" asked Espio.

"I have no idea, but I sure hope he's okay."

Soon, the Master Emerald glowed brightly once again, forcing Knuckles and the Chaotix to shield their eyes. Seconds later, the light faded to reveal Yoshi standing on top of the emerald, fully dressed and everything.

"Hey guys." he greeted casually.

"Whoa. Dude, what happened?" asked Vector.

"Yeah, Knuckles told us you disappeared when you touched the Master Emerald." said Julie-Su.

"It's true, I did. But to be honest, I wasn't even expecting it." Yoshi replied.

"Where'd you go off to?" asked Knuckles.

Yoshi merely smirked and hopped down from the emerald.

"Just a random place, nothing important." he boasted while walking off.

"And where exactly is this...random place you speak of?" asked Espio.

"That's for me to know, and for you guys to never ever find out."

He then starts laughing as he goes on, leaving the others feeling confused.

Well, finally after a long long time, Chapter 9 is officially up.

Sorry that I took so long on it. Also, I apologize if the lemon isn't all that good, I kinda struggled with it a lot.

But anyway, be sure to tune in for the next chapter. I promise it'll be better than this one.
