~ This is the filler continuing from the last chapter. It didn't go excatly the way I wanted, but I like how it turned out.

~ There will be some filler chapters every so often, which will be shorter chapters that I don't think fit in the full chapters.

Danielle's POV

"Silas?" I ask, not moving from my spot. "But...how?" He slowly moved slowly to me.
"We're not easily killed." Silas smiled and saw my neck. "What happened?"
"I saw your dead body..." I whisper. "How are you still alive?" Silas cupped my face, not giving me any answers. He kissed me and I kissed back. All of our kisses felt the same as our first kiss, except this one. "Si..." I said as I looked at his eyes. "Please, I need to know." He sighed.
"When Tessa gave Stefan his memories back, my powers returned." He explained. "I knew Tessa, being Tessa, linked your memories to her life. I had to made sure she died...and the only way was..."
"Making people think you were dead..." I whisper and was relieved he was alive. Then I was mad. "How could you do that to me?" I started hitting his chest. "I would never do that to you." I start crying as I hit him. It felt like I did it for hours before he held my wrists.
"I'm sorry." Silas said. "Without your memories, you didn't know how to use your powers so you were weaker than me... I could make you think I was dead." He paused. "I knew I shouldn't, but I knew your memories would return. I needed you to look at me the way you did before. The way you looked at me on your 16th birthday." My anger softened a little bit, but I was still mad.
"I never wanted you dead..." I said "...and you..." I sighed. "How can I trust you if you messed with my mind?"
"I'm sorry, I am."
"I know Si...but I can't be with you right now after what happened." Silas just looked at me.
"I love you." Silas said and kissed my forehead. "I will wait for you...however long it takes." He added and left.

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath before taking a shower.

I put on a purple bathrobe and decided to walk to the kitchen for a snack. I walked passed Stefan's room to see him walking shirtless out of his bathroom.
"Dani..." He said. 'He noticed me' I think to myself as I step in his room. "Hey..."
"Did everything go okay with Katherine?" I ask, hoping she was okay...despite dying.
"I think she'll be okay." Stefan said and looked at me. "Are you talking to me again?" I nod my head.
"Yeah..." I said "...I realized that I shouldn't be mad at you for Silas dying." 'Even though he's not really dead' I think to myself, deciding to keep that a secret from everyone else. "And I'm sorry for acting how I did this morning."
"I get it." He said. "I was...almost the same when I thought Katherine died in 1864." I knew it would be invading privacy, but I closed my eyes and looked in his head. I saw his memories of them.
"That's different." I said as I opened my eyes. "But I get what you're trying to say." I find myself looking at his chest. 'The same as Silas' I think, which I should know since they're doppelgangers. Stefan puts on a shirt and I look away, a little embarrassed. "Good night Stefan." I said as I went to the kitchen for my snack before going to bed.

~ Silas's 'death' was inspired by Loki's 'death' in Thor 2. He made people think he was dead, but was still alive in the end (not a spoiler since the movie has been out for a while).

~ Dani will have more scenes with Silas, I have a few planned. They will have a complicated relationship...especially with the Dani/Stefan stuff I want to do.
~ I have a few different ideas with the next chapter. I know Kat helps Stefan get over the PTSD, but I want to figure out a way to have Dani help instead (without using her psychic powers to tell him to be over it).
