I'm back. It's time for another exciting chapter from me! Hope you guys weren't waiting long. Last chapter, Danny rescued Vee, a poor Eevee cruelly experimented by Team Rocket, making her multivolve, which is short for multiple evolution. How can he help the poor, traumatized Pokémon?
Well, that's enough reminiscing, time for the chapter. Sit back and enjoy.
Chapter 16: Floral Battle
It was a few days after Danny battled Team Rocket and acquired a new Pokémon, Vee the Eevee, but then saw the affliction Team Rocket has done to her. Whenever she was near an Evolution Stone, she was force to evolve into the Pokémon corresponding to the stone, and then revert back to her pre-evolve form.
Because of the trauma Vee experienced, Danny decided to help her out, so he sent back Cujo with Prof. Oak, so he can spend time and heal her.
Right now, Danny and his group were continuing their journey to Celadon City. Resting in his arms was Vee, snuggling contently. On his right shoulder was Chu, and Ann was walking right next to him, carrying the egg.
"How're you feeling, Vee?" he asked as he looked at Vee, who just smiled.
"Vee!" she said.
"That's good," he said with a smile. Though in his mind, he still couldn't believe what happened to her. Team Rocket experimented on Vee, mutating her and caused her pain. He could feel his blood boil at the thought of what other Pokémons they were experimenting on for their twisted ambition.
Now that he thought about it, why were they stealing Pokémon. It's not like they couldn't catch their own. And why were they experimenting on Pokémon. What exactly are they planning. He sighed as he rubbed his head in frustration.
"You alright, Danny?" Ann asked, looking at her friend.
"I'm fine, just a headache," Danny said as he looked at a wooden sign nearby. "Hm…Hey, looks like we're almost there."
On the wooden sign was carved 'CELADON CITY, JUST STRAIGHT AHEAD'.
"I always wanted to go to Celadon City," Ann said with a smile. "Aunt Joy always sent us special perfumes. They smell so refreshing."
"Really?" Danny asked, looking ahead. "Maybe I should buy some for mom. Her birthday is near."
"Yay, shopping!" Ann exclaimed excitedly. "I heard Celadon has the best mall in Kanto!"
"Good, we need to resupply anyway," Danny said as they quickened their pace, looking excited.
A few minutes later, the group finally arrived at the bustling city. They looked around in awe as many people walked through the streets, carrying big bags of perfumes and other stuff they bought in the Celadon Mall. Some of them were carrying buckets of coins, going in a red building.
"It smells so good…" Ann said with a dreamy smile. Chu and Vee had the same expression as her as they enjoyed the scent.
"Yeah, it does," Danny said as he sniffed the air. "Hm…Kinda smells like mom's cookies."
"Look, it's Celadon Mall!" Ann exclaimed, pointing at the biggest and tallest building. "C'mon, let's go!"
She grabbed Danny's arm and pulled him towards the giant building with bustling people. They explored every floor. The first floor was mostly about food, so Danny released his team so they could have an all you can eat tour.
After eating their fill, they went to the second floor, which was a Supermarket, full of fresh fruit, vegetables and meat, as well as canned goods, drinks and snacks. The refilled their rations of canned goods, fruits and vegetables, and they stayed away from the meat aisle. They even brought some snacks and drinks, as well as Pokémon treats.
The third floor was the clothing and accessory store. Ann had fun, trying on clothes, jewelry and dressing up Danny's team. Though Danny didn't just stand there, wasting his time; he was looking at new shoes and gloves, since his old ones were worn and torn.
Fourth floor were traveling and Pokémon equipment, like Pokéballs, potions and vitamins. Danny resupplied his Pokéballs, as well as buying some potions. He even bought a new flashlight, a headband flashlight, first aid kits and ropes. As well as a toy ball for his team to play with.
The last floor was the roof, which gives a wonderful view of the city with a nice, cool breeze for them to enjoy and rest.
After that, they went back to the city, going to the famous fragrance street. There were plenty of girls and women, carrying bags full of perfume. Ann had a relaxed look on her face as she enjoyed the scent. Danny found the scent relaxing, so did his team.
They entered the nearest perfume store, which smelled like beautiful flowers, and the workers were all pretty women giving samples.
"Welcome!" they greeted with welcoming smiles. "Would you like to sample our new perfume?"
"Sure!" Ann said as one of them squirted a little to Ann's wrist. She took a whiff and smiled. "It smells wonderful."
"This was recently made with a new secret ingredient," one of them said.
"How about you, young man?" one of them asked.
"I'm looking for something to give my mom, for a birthday present," Danny said. "Got any suggestions."
"Aw, how sweet," one of them said, a cute, teenage girl in a yellow and floral kimono with short, blue hair kept in a headband, before pulling Danny to a glass counter. "Here's all our selections for mothers. Tell me, what is your mother's favorite flower?"
"She likes lilacs," Danny commented, remembering the purple flowers his mother planted in the garden.
"We have just the thing," she said with a smile as she stepped behind the counter, grabbing a purple bottle. "Purple Dreams, for those purple flower lovers."
She squirted a little, letting Danny take a whiff. It smelled just like his mom's garden, making him smile as he remembered some fond times in the garden, remembering him and Chu helping Maddie in her garden.
"Hm…" he hummed with a smile. "I'll take it. How much?"
"85 Pokédollars, bur since it's a present for your mother, a 25% discount, and the gift wrap is free," she said with a kind smile.
"Thanks," Danny said before as he looked around the store. "Hm…maybe I can buy one for Jazz. She might like some Kanto scents."
"Oh yeah, how is she?" Ann asked after she smelt the fifth sample.
"Last I heard, she's still in Johto," Danny said as he looked at the blue bottled perfumes. "Got any blue hibiscus?"
After buying presents for his mom and older sister, he and Ann went from shop to shop, sampling perfumes and maybe buy another present for his mom. He even bough a fudge scented perfume for his dad and candy scented perfume for Dani. He even bought another perfume bottle for his mom called 'Blue Flower Spring'.
Soon, they were just going from shop to shop to enjoy the different perfumes just to enjoy it.
"Hm?" Danny suddenly noticed a familiar figure in the next store. It was Misty sniffing some perfume, with Pikachu sitting on her lap, also enjoying the samples. "Hey, it's Misty."
"And over there's Brock," Ann said, pointing in front of them. Danny looked and sweatdrop when he saw Brock jumping from shop to shop, flirting with various women. "He seems to be enjoying himself."
"Yup," Danny said before he entered the shop.
"Pika!" Pikachu exclaimed as he saw Danny's group. He jumped off Misty as Chu jumped of Danny's shoulder. The two tapped tails, their usual sign of greeting.
"Oh, hey Danny, hey Ann," Misty greeted as she stood up. "It's good to see you. Aw, is that an Eevee? How cute."
Vee, not used to being in front of new people, shyly hide behind Danny.
"Sorry about that," Danny said as he picked up Vee and petted her. "She's a little shy."
The door suddenly opened, causing them to turn. They saw a disgruntled Ash, but he lost his look when he saw Danny and Ann.
"Hey, guys," he said as he walked towards them before his nose scrunched up. "Are you here for the gym badge too?"
"Yeah, and to find some gifts for mom on her birthday," Danny commented as he showed the bag. "It smells nice."
"Really?" Ash said surprised. "But perfume is so dumb. They just make my nose hurt."
Suddenly, everything went quiet as the employees gasped. Suddenly, Ash was surrounded by several, sweet smiling women who were releasing terrifying aura.
"Could you repeat that, young man?" one of them asked.
"Perfume is dumb," Ash repeated, not noticing the danger he's in. "They smell weird and hurt my nose."
"Ash, maybe you should be quiet," Danny whispered as he noted the growing aura of anger.
"Why?" Ash said, crossing his arms. "Perfumes aren't good for anything."
"Whelp, you're dead," Danny commented as the aura turned into a tornado.
A second later, Ash was thrown out of the shop by some angry girls. Danny, Misty, Ann and the Pokémon walked after Ash as he was banned by the manager.
"Did you really have to make them angry?" Danny commented as Ash stood up. A second later, a picture of Ash was stuck on the glass, with the word 'BANNED' below the picture.
"I was being honest," Ash said.
"No, you were being rude," Misty said with a huff. "It's going to bite you in the butt one of these days."
"Ka," Pikachu said with a nod.
"Hey, whose side are you on?" Ash said to Pikachu. "Besides, I didn't come here to smell perfumes, I came here for my next gym badge!"
"Geez, learn how to relax, Ash," Danny commented. "I want to have my next gym badge too, but you're in a great place. Go and check out the mall. They have Ultraballs."
"Ultraballs?" Ash asked, looking interested before shaking his head. "No! I won't be distracted. I'm here for my new gym badge!"
"Well…I already got my gift for mom, I'll join you," Danny said as he recalled Char, Gar and Free as Chu and Vee hoped on his shoulders. "From what I heard, the Celadon Gym specializes in Plant-Types."
"So, I need some fire," Ash said with a grin as the group went to the gym, though Misty has to pull Brock with them as he cried to go back to the girls. "Charmander would do fine then."
The group walked until they reached the gym and saw a familiar figure exiting the gym, a smile on her face.
"Sam?" Danny said, getting the girl's attention.
"Oh, hey guys," Sam said as greeted the group. "Long time, no see. How are you?"
"We're fine, just having fun," Ann said with a smile.
"Who's this?" Ash asked, looking at Sam.
"This is Sam Manson, she got her Pokémon from Prof. Oak," Danny said, introducing them to Sam before he turned to Sam. "This is Ash, a friend of mine from Pallet Town. And these are Misty and-."
"Brock," Sam said, smiling at the older teen. "I know him. I got my first gym badge from him."
"Yeah, she was good," Brock said, remembering how she beat his Rock-Types with her Grass-Types.
"Did you just get your gym badge?" Danny asked and she shook her head.
"I was just saying goodbye to Miss Erika," Sam replied. "She's the gym leader, and the best Grass-Type Pokémon Trainer. I've been staying to learn more from her, and it's time for me to continue my journey."
"Awesome," Danny said with a grin. "You must have learned a lot. Where are you heading next?"
"My next stop is Lavender Town," she replied. "I always wanted to see that place. I heard it's haunted. Good luck, guys!"
Sam waved at them goodbye as she walked away. They watched her go before they turned to the gym.
"Well, let's go," Danny said as he and Ash walked to the front doors. Inside was like a forest, with big trees, tall, green glasses and beautiful flowers. "Wow, how natural."
"It smells weird," Ash said as he scrunched his nose.
"Welcome," a voice said, causing them to look. They saw that it was the manager that banned Ash. "Are you hear to battle Miss Erika?"
"Yes," Danny said with a nod. "We're here to get our next gym badge."
"Very well, follow me," she said before she pointed at Ash. "Except for you."
"What!?" Ash exclaimed in shocked. "Why!?"
"Like I said before, you're banned," the woman answered as she pointed at something behind her. They look and saw a stand with Ash's banned picture on it.
"But I was banned from the perfume shop, not the gym!" Ash exclaimed.
"And the gym manages them," the manager said. "Now please leave the gym."
"No! You can't do this!" Ash said, crossing his arms.
"We have the right to refuse any customer and challenger," the manager said.
"What's going on?" a voice said, getting their attention. They turned and Danny saw the girl who sold him the perfumes. She then saw Danny and a hint of recognition appeared. "Oh? It's you. How are you?"
"I'm fine, thank you," Danny said.
"Are you here for a gym battle?" she asked in a kind tone.
"Yeah," Danny said with a nod. "I'm here to challenge Erika for the Celadon Gym Badge."
"Me too," Ash said as the girl turned to him.
"Oh?" she asked, and her kind smile was gone. "Didn't you say our perfumes are dumb?"
"Well, it is," Ash said stubbornly.
"Ash, stop talking," Danny suggested as he kept angering the girls.
"Well, I am Erika, the Gym Leader of the Celadon Gym," Erika said as she bowed elegantly. "And I gladly accept your challenge."
"Alright!" Ash cheered, pumping a fist into the air.
"No, not you," Erika said, looking pointedly at Ash. "I will accept Danny's challenge, since he doesn't disrespect the products we work hard to make. And you're banned from our shops, which also means you're banned from the gym."
"Why?" Ash complained.
"Because you were rude," Erika said simply.
"I told you being rude would bite you," Misty commented.
"No way! I'm not moving until I get my gym battle!" Ash declared as he sat cross-legged on the floor, crossing his arms.
A few minutes later, a Grass-Type Pokémon covered in blue vines with googly eyes and red feet was carrying a struggling Ash out the gym, with his friends watching.
"So that's a Tangela," Danny commented as he pulled out his Pokédex.
"Tangela, the Vine Pokémon. Its identity is obscured by masses of thick, blue vines. The vines are said to never stop growing."
"Cool," Danny said as Tangela dropped Ash before it returned to Erika's side. "You okay, Ash?"
Ash just grumbled as he stood up and ran towards the gym, only for the doors to closed on him. He banged on the door and shouted, but the glass was soundproof.
"So…just leave him there?" Danny asked as they walked away from the door, leaving Ash.
"Follow us, please," Erika said with a smile as she led the group to the arena. It was a grassy area with white lines around the arena, with a scoreboard on the side and a sky light, letting the sunlight in the gym. "Here is where we shall battle."
Meanwhile, Ash was looking for a way in the gym, but everything was locked. He tried going to the back, but there was a tall fence. He tried to climb the fence, but it was electric. He tried going to the roof, the walls had no holds. He tried digging a tunnel, before he realized that it would take too long.
"There's gotta be a way in," he mumbled as he thought of way. Suddenly, he heard some commotion on the side. Curious, he walked towards it and saw Jessie, James and Meowth digging rapidly. "Team Rocket!"
Back inside, Danny and Erika were standing on the field, facing each other. The manager was standing in between, acting as the referee.
"The battle between the challenger, Danny Fenton of Pallet Town, and the Celadon Gym Leader, Miss Erika Hana, will now begin! Only three Pokémon are allowed, and whoever lost all their Pokémon first loses! Only the challenger is allowed to substitute!"
"Allow me to go first," Erika said as she pulled out a Pokéball. "Victreebel, I choose you!"
A Victreebel appeared on the field, looking ready to fight. Victreebel's picture appeared on Erika's side.
"Alright, Free, go battle!" Danny shouted, letting Free appear, flying energetically to the sky. A picture of Free appeared on Danny's side.
"My, what a beautiful Butterfree," Erika commented pleasantly.
"The first round between Danny's Free against Miss Erika's Victreebel begins!" the manager declared.
"Free, fly to the sky and use Powder Storm!" Danny ordered, and Free flew over the air and spun around, releasing various effects powders, like Stun Pore, Sleep Powder and Poison Powder.
"My, how beautiful," Erika said, mesmerized at the colorful powders raining down the field. "I guess it's true, a Trainer with unique Pokémons with equally unique techniques. But it'll take more than that. Victreebel, Acid Spray."
Victreebel opened its mouth and sprayed purple mist to the air. It dispersed the Powder Storm and headed towards Free, who quickly moved higher to dodge it.
"Free, dispersed the spray with your wings!" Danny ordered. Free started flapping his wings, dispersing the Acid Spray. "Now, Cocoon Shot!"
Free started flying around Victreebel at a fast pace before shooting string at Victreebel, hitting its back. Free started wrapping a struggling Victreebel around with silk, slowly encasing it in a cocoon.
"Now, Hard Tackle!" Danny ordered. Free suddenly had a sheen before he hardened. He then flew towards the trapped Victreebel.
"Victreebel, use Acid to free yourself!" Erika exclaimed. The cocoon started melting as acid spewed out of Victreebel's mouth. It then fired a few blobs at Free, hitting him head on. Thanks to Harden, it didn't slow down his momentum as he slammed into Victreebel. "Victreebel!"
Victreebel flew out of the field and landed on the ground, its eyes turning into swirls.
"Victreebel is unable to battle!" the manager declared as Victreebel's picture darkened. "The first round goes to Danny Fenton!"
"Alright!" Danny cheered with a grin. "Good work, Free!"
Free happily flew around the area as Ann, Brock and Misty cheered.
"Thank you, Victreebel," Erika said, recalling Victreebel, smiling. "Take a rest. You earned it."
She then grabbed another Pokéball and threw it to the air. "Tangela, go!"
"Free, can you still fight?" Danny asked, and Free nodded. Free nodded energetically, looking ready. "Then let's keep battling."
"The second round between Free and Tangela now begins!"
"Free, use Cocoon Shot!" Danny exclaimed as Free started flying around.
"That won't work twice," Erika said. "Tangela, Vine Whip, no, let's make it interesting, Multiple Vine Whip!"
Suddenly, Tangela's blue vines aimed after Free, who started dodging around, weaving through the vines, not getting a clear aim of Tangela's body. Suddenly, Free flowed purple, causing him to flinch and waver.
"Free!" Danny exclaimed as Free got hit by the vines. He managed to steady himself, but he was a little weak. "Crap, he got Poisoned."
He pulled out his Pokéball and was about to recall him, but Erika saw and a look appeared on her eyes.
"Tangela, Vine Whip to grab Free and then slam him to the ground!" she ordered. The blue vines darted towards Free and wrapped around him before he could dodge.
"Free!" Danny exclaimed as Tangela lifted Free to the air and slammed him to the ground, causing the dust to explode. When the dust settled, it revealed Free on the ground, spirals in his eyes.
"Free is unable to battle!" the manager declared as Free's picture darkened. "The second round goes to miss Erika Hana!"
"Excellent job, Tangela," Erika said, causing Tangela to look happy.
"Free, return," Danny said, recalling Free. He looked at the Pokéball, smiling. "Thank you. Get a well-earned rest."
He then looked at Tangela, deciding on who to use. He finally decided to use the most obvious choice.
"Char! Go battle!" he exclaimed, throwing a Pokéball, causing Char to appear, looking ready to fight. A picture of him appeared right next to Free's darkened picture.
"The third round between Char and Tangela will now begin!" the manager declared.
"Char, start it off with Slash!" Danny exclaimed. Char's claw glowed metallic before they grew. He then spewed fire on them, lighting the claws with fire. He charged at Tangela, who dodged the terrifying claws.
"Tangela, Vine Whip to restrain him," Erika ordered.
Blue vines whipped out of Tangela and caught Char's arms, stopping his attacks before he was flung around the area.
"Char, Special Attack: Fireball!"
Char, eyes focusing, was forming a fire ball at the tip of his tail. Once it was big enough, he flipped his tail towards Tangela, who couldn't dodge, was hit in face, causing the ball to explode. Tangela was sent flying, freeing Char.
"Now, Slash!" Danny exclaimed. Char charged at Tangela and swung his claws at a dazed Tangela. He swiped at Tangela, sending it across the field. "Now, finish it with Special Attack: Fireball Storm!"
Char jumped to the air and started spinning like a yoyo, sending a volley of fire balls shooting out of his tail. Tangela couldn't react fast enough to dodge, so it got bombarded by a volley of fire balls.
"Tangela!" Erika exclaimed as Tangela fell to the ground, its eyes swirly.
"Tangela is unable to battle!" the manager declared as Tangela's picture darkened. "The third round goes to Danny Fenton!"
"Thank you, Tangela," Erika said as she recalled it back to its Pokéball. "You have done well."
She then pulled out another Pokéball and threw it in the air. "Go, Vileplume!"
In a flash of light, Erika's third Pokémon appeared. It is a blue, bipedal Grass-type, with stubby hands and legs, with a massive, red flower growing from its head, looking very heavy. It also has beady red eyes and a smile on its face.
"Vileplume!" the Pokémon exclaimed, hopping on the field as its picture appeared on Erica's side of the screen.
"A Vileplume, huh," Danny said, pulling out Dex.
"Vileplume, the Flower Pokémon. The larger its petals, the more toxic pollen it contains. Its big head is heavy and hard to hold up."
"Char, wanna keep doing?" Danny asked, and Char growled in agreement. "Then let's go."
"The fourth round between Char and Vileplume will now begin!" the manager declared.
"Vileplume, Petal Dance!" Erika exclaimed, and Vileplume started spin, releasing sharp petals from its head, which were flying towards Char.
"Char, Fire Shield!" Danny ordered. Char opened his mouth, looked up and spun around as he spewed fire, covering himself in a tornado of fire, blocking the sharp petals, burning them to ashes. "Now direct that fire to Vileplume!"
Char directed the fire towards Vileplume.
"Vileplume, keep dancing!" Erika exclaimed. Vileplume danced on the arena, dodging the flames coming towards it.
"Impressive," Danny commented as he watched the Vileplume dodge Char's fire. It then fired some sharp petals, hitting Char, scratching him up. "You must have trained Vileplume well to fight against Fire-Types."
"Of course," Erika said with a nostalgic smile as she remembered her earlier days as a beginning trainer, with her Oddish training and coming up with strategies against Fire-Types. "As one who specializes in Grass-Types, I must overcome the many weaknesses my team will face."
"As expected of a Gym Leader," Danny complimented. "But Char's self-esteem would be damaged from losing to a Grass-type. So, we're winning this! Char, Rage!"
A fire appeared in Char's eyes as he started glowing red, the fire on his tail growing large. Roaring loudly, Char charged at Vileplume, slashing at the petals flying towards him. He then swiped at Vileplume, hitting it furiously before slamming it with his tail.
"Vileplume, Stun Spore!" Erika ordered. Vileplume released yellow powder from its head, hitting Char, causing him to freeze in place. Erika looked at the sky light and smiled. "It's such a sunny day today. Vileplume, Solar Beam!"
Vileplume's head started glowing brightly as it collected sunlight for the Solar Beam while Char was struggling to move.
"Char! Flamethrower on yourself!" Danny exclaimed, surprising everyone. Char, after struggling, fired at his feet, spreading to his body.
"I see, you're trying to burn the Stun Spores, how clever," Erika commented. "But you're too late. Vileplume, fire!"
Vileplume released a beam of light from its flower, aimed at a fire covered Char. Suddenly, the fire dispersed, revealing a moving Char.
"Char, Special Attack: Blazing Claws!"
Fire erupted from Char's claws, using it to block the Solar Beam. The two Pokémon struggled for dominance, with Char digging his feet on the ground.
"Go, Char!" Danny exclaimed. "Win this!"
Char's eyes changed before he started slashing at the Solar Beam, surprising everyone. Char kept getting closer as he slashed at the Solar Beam.
"Vileplume, increase power!" Erika exclaimed. Vileplume increased the power of its Solar Beam, slowing Char down a little.
"Char, keep going!" Danny exclaimed, and Char kept slashing at the Solar Beam, getting closer to Vileplume.
The two Pokémon roared as Char got close enough to strike. There was a blinding flash of light before both Pokemon flew out of the arena. Both Trainers quickly ran to their Pokemon, who both have swirly eyes.
"Both Pokemon are unable to battle!" the manager declared as Char's and Vileplume's pictures darkened. "Miss Erika is the first to lose all three Pokémon, which means the battle goes to Danny Fenton of Pallet Town!"
Ann, Chu, Vee, Brock and Misty cheered as Danny's picture grew on the screen, with the word 'WINNER' below it.
"You hear that, Char? You did it," Danny said with a grin as he hugged Char before returning him to his Pokéball. "You've earned a good rest."
"Thank you for fighting your hardest, my friend," Erika said gently before recalling Vileplume. She stood up and walked towards Danny. "I must say, you are a remarkable Trainer, Danny Fenton. Your unique style caught me off guard, but the bond you have with your Pokémon was what really got me, to see both Trainer and Pokémon working so hard brings joy in my heart. For your well-earned victory, I award you the Celadon Gym Badge, the Rainbow Badge!"
She pulled something in her kimono sleeve, a seven-colored badge, with the colored petals around a silver flower. Danny smiled as he accepted the badge, happy to have his fourth gym badge.
"Thank you, Miss Erika," he said as he attached the badge inside his vest, right beside the Thunder Badge. "It was a great experienced battling you. Um…Say…Will you let my friend fight you? I know he offended you, but he's a great guy."
"Well…" Erika said as they made their way to the main hall. "If you say so, then perhaps I will accept his challenge."
"Thank you," Danny said before a new group entered the gym.
It was Jessie and James, dressed like wealthy people, but what got their attention was the kid at the center, with long, gold hair kept by ribbons, dressed in an orange, frilly dress. Danny, Ann, Misty and Brock stared at the girl with their jaws hanging.
"Good day," Jessie said in a rich person accent. "I'm Jessilina, and this is my husband."
"Jamie the third," James said.
"Our daughter, Ashley, would like to challenge the Gym leader," Jessie said, gesturing at the girl.
"H…Hello," Ashley mumbled, looking down.
"…" Danny facepalmed before looking at Erika, who had a deadpanned expression on her face. "He really is a nice guy."
"…I'll take your word for it," Erika said.
"Ash, Danny convinced Erika to accept your challenge," Misty said to Ashley.
"Really?" Ashley exclaimed in a male voice. "Uh…I mean, who's Ash?"
"Dude, seriously?" Danny said in a deadpanned expression.
"Well, since our cover is blown," Jessie said as she and James posed, about to remove their disguise. "To prepare for-."
"Chu," Danny said in a deadpanned expression, causing Chu to jump to the air.
"Pikachu!" Chu released a thunderbolt attack, hitting Jessie and James, and Meowth hiding under Jessie's dress. The attack sent them blasting through the roof.
"We hadn't done anything yet!" they exclaimed as they flew to the air. "Team Rocket's blasting off again!"
"…They're a very strange group," Erika commented as Ash coughed, the wig falling from his head. "Mr. Ketchum, I will accept your challenge tomorrow, as my team needs rest."
"Oh…Um…Sure, thanks," Ash said with a grin. There was a flash, causing Ash to look and saw Danny taking a picture of him. "Hey!"
"I am so showing this to everyone," Danny said with a smirk before he, Ann, Chu and Vee rushed to the exit. "Well, later buddy."
"Give that back!"
"I can't hear you," Danny said as they exit the gym. "Good luck!"
Huh, I think I started two running gags; Danny leaving Ash in a gym with damages he made, and then Danny not letting Team Rocket finish their motto and just attacking them. Man, that's good. So yeah, Danny fought Erika and won the Rainbow Badge, and Danny convince Erika to accept Ash's challenge, despite the fact he wore a dress and allying himself with Team Rocket to sneak in the gym. If you remember the old Pokémon show, we both know they wanted to steal the secret ingredient of the perfume.
I was supposed to add the Celadon Casino in this chapter, it's been a few months since I updated, so I'll just do that next chapter, where he'll fight Team Rocket and rescue a few Pokémon, a few Shiny Pokémon, hehehehe.
Well, review reply.
PhantomDragon99- Thanks.
KuriMaster13- Really? I don't watch the movies, except for the one with Mewtwo and the legendary birds. And yup, Eevee is one of the very favorite Pokémon.
Amari45- Yup, it's all mental, but once she gets over the trauma, she will be unstoppable! But yeah, poor Eevee going through that. And there's a Dusk Stone? Huh, well, I guess Sylveon would be Moon Stone then, like Clefairy evolved due to the Moon Stone. Glaceon would be Ice Stone, Leafeon is Leaf Stone, and the rest is simple. Oh, and Sun Stone for Espeon. As for Haunter, Gar is blue, not purple. And yeah, Chu can't evolve to a Thunder Stone, but he can still Mega Evolve later on in the story. As for Danny after becoming a champion, maybe become a Ranger and then retire.
bloodyredrose1994- Hm…That 4th wall break might be funny. And Danny bought Maddie a present for her birthday, and the perfume smells like cookies, so yeah, the perfumes don't smell that bad. So yeah, Danny gets a gym battle while Ash dresses like a girl.
And I remember one school episode in the Kanto, the one with the arrogant girl. Maybe I'll write that, maybe not. Depends on where the story goes.
VStarrk- Thanks. Glad you like it.
JP-Ryder- Oooooh, that's cool. Danny will be the first to discover a Ghost Stone. What would her Ghost evolved form be called? Ghosteon? Ectoen? Phantomeon? And yeah, Billy's name getting wrong will be one of the gags in this story.
GirlFish- Yup, the rarest Eevee there is. If only it was Shiny, it'd be priceless. And yeah, Mewtwo was grown in a tube. Cassidy and Bradley will just be comic relief, except if they seriously did something evil, like using Drowzee to turn the Pokémon on their Trainers. And a Beautifly. Seems interesting.
Runeion- Yeah, we'll never get Benny's name right.
ScarecrowReaper- Actually, Giovanni made his debut in Chapter 7, a cameo. He's the guy who gave Danny that amber. For Riolu, that'll be in Hoenn, or Sinnoh, still didn't know what region they're from. Absol, that's a definite yes. I mean, they look so cool. Mega Char will appear, as for Mewtwo…Hm... I'll see if I can make that work. I like that Pokémon, but he seems more like a lone wolf.
RedKnight21- Well, it happened in the manga, where Red is the main character. Jessie, James and Meowth appeared, kinda. And yeah, Cassidy and Beverly will bother Danny from time to time. And then there's Skulker and Box Ghost.
ShadowArbitor- Yup, he's not good with girls. Gar finally achieved evolution and Vee is very special. And Giovanni made his appearance in Chapter 7. He's the kind old man who gave Danny an amber.
SPARTAN-626- Yup, though the background might happen after the Saffron City Gym Battle.
ews1- Then I guess you're happy to see another update.
Drift219- Don't blame me, blame Team Rocket, who I wrote turned Vee into that…Huh, I guess blame me then.
Dreams Come True 996- Yup, except if you count that one in the manga, featuring Red, though that Eevee lost that ability after evolving to Espeon. And yeah, Free will find that special butterfly, just not a Butterfree.
ShineLucario- I will.
GoliathJoker- Yup, he's not ready to be tied down. Hm…As for that X-Men X DP ideas, I'll think about it.
FairyFlare- They're bad guys. They'll do anything from world domination to stealing a baby's candy. And yeah, Vee can turn back to Eevee, as long as no Evolution stone is nearby. Think of it like Megaman. Ooooh, I like that Ditto idea.
971brat- Aw, thanks. Hope you enjoy the chapter.
SoundVenom- Well, it was kinda Ash's fault for not training Charizard well. Man, he was so cute as a Charmander, but then he became a lazy good for nothing in season 1, but then gained redemption on Orange Islands, so there's that. Maybe Char would motivate Charizard, like a rival or something. Like instead of being arrogant, after being beaten by Char, Charmeleon would be hard working. So then, he won't lose to Sparky. I mean, come on, that's gotta ruin his rep, losing to a Pikachu in front of national TV.
GreyShadow- Paul doesn't abuse his Pokémon…kinda, more like he over trains them. Valerie does have attitude, but she's a hardworker. For Ember, man, she would go well with a Loudred, or the evolve form of that Pokémon. Or a Jigglypuff. Huh…A Jigglypuff and some Fire Types, and some electric, metal-looking Pokémon, since she's a punk Rockstar.
Zapster45- Updated.
Guest- Here you go.
Once again, sorry about the delay, and I hope you enjoyed the gym battle. Before I go, I'll list the current Pokemon Danny has, to make it easier for me. I keep forgetting who's on the team and who's not.
Current: Chu (Pikachu), Char (Charmeleon), Gar (Haunter), Free (Butterfree), Vee (Eevee), unknown egg (unknown egg, at least to some of you guys, since you guessed right).
With Prof. Oak: Arow (Spearow), Cujo (Growlithe), Gyaros (Gyarados), Nido (Nidoran(male))
…Huh, I thought he caught more than that…I didn't miss one, did I?
Anyway, next chapter, Underground Casino Royale Rumble! So many words with capital letters! See you later!
