Special Chapter 12 – Opening Ragnarok

Jadyn significantly worn out from the fight falls over, the reversed John also falls to the ground. "And… that is… the last fight against Reverse I'll have." Jadyn says smiling while facing the ceiling.

Sachiko is towering above Jadyn. "So… that's it then?" Jadyn sits up and they both look over to William and Caroline's fight. "Let's hope they win. We have 15 minutes left."

William is about to crossride. "We both deal with the opponent's defences, but Caroline the guard is all given towards me. You can't prevent locking against Isabel, but you can against Tyler." William places Ocean Emperor, Poseidon onto the vanguard circle. "I call Shark Boy, Murray. [Grade 2, 8000 Power, 5000 Shield] I activate Floating Dracokid's skill. I add Sea Prince, Posiedon to my hand. I call Sea Prince, Poseidon. I activate my vanguard's Ultimate Break. I give my vanguard the ability of my rear-guard Poseidon. Then, I Limit Break and copy Murray's ability. I call Sea Girl, Eisa and Mermaid Hydrous. I discard Ocean Emperor, Poseidon to draw a card. "Next, my Ultimate Break again!" This time rather than William counter blasting. Caroline counter blasts. "I take your Royal Flush skill from you!" William attacks with Murray boosted by Sea Girl, Eisa.

Isabel is on the other table looking at William with annoyance. "Fighting fire with fire? Keep trying. I highly doubt you'd be able to use it properly."

The attack is blocked by Tyer's Stellar Garage. [18000 Power 20000 Power] William attacks with his vanguard, which is let through. Drive Check: Shark Boy, Murray [No Trigger], Sea Girl, Marina [Draw Trigger] "Power to rear-guard Poseidon and I draw a card."

Damage Check: Unrivaled Star-vader, Radon [No Trigger]

Poseidon attacks your vanguard boosted by Mermaid Hydrous. Tyler guards the attack with Dysprosium and Molybdenum. [22000 Power 25000 Power]

Isabel starts her turn. "I move Binary Star back and call Dysprosium. [Grade 0, Stand Trigger, 4000 Power, 10000 Shield]. I attack your vanguard with Dysprosium and Binary Star." William guards it with Sea Girl, Marina. [12000 Power 15000 Power] Isabel looks at her field. "My vanguard attacks Star-vader, Volt Line. You know what happens when this attack this." Isabel smirks pointing to the locked card.

"I guard with Immobilizing Succubus. I discard Emptiness Lord, Almana. Nullified." Caroline looks at her opponent's field with no other attacks coming towards her, she prepares for her turn. Drive Check: Cyber Diamond [Critical Trigger], Unforgiving Joker, Hatred [No Trigger]

Reawaken Half Angel gives Reawakened Knight 3000 power. Reawakened Knight attacks your vanguard." Tyler knowing the ability of Reawakened Knight guards it with Molybdenum. [12000 Power 16000 Power] Caroline's face shows a slight annoyance, attacks with her vanguard. This time no resistance is given from either opponent.

Damage Check: Universal Freeze [No Trigger]

The turn ends with Caroline's locked card unlocking into Reawakened Knight, however, this is short lived as Isabel quickly activates her ability. Locking it again.

Ultimate Break!" Tyler turns over Volt Line from his damage zone. He points to Mermaid Hydrous and Shark Boy, Murray. "My vanguard gets 6000 power and Lanthanum gets 4000 power. Selenium's skill returns it to my hand. I call Dysprosium. Radon attacks boosted by Lanthanum."

Tyler then rests his vanguard column slowly. "My vanguard attacks boosted by Volt Line." William is quick to react with Ocean Chimera nullifying the attack. Drive Check: Crush Star-vader, Demon Dragon [No Trigger], Star-vader, Band Hell Dragon [No Trigger] Tyler then attacks with Osmium boosted by Dysprosium against the rear-guard Poseidon.

"Intercept." Tyler moves the rear-guard Osmium to the guardian circle. When William attacks with Poseidon, Selenium defends Band Hell Dragon. [16000 Power 21000 Power]

Drive Check: Ocean Emperor, Poseidon [No Trigger], Shark Boy, Murray [No Trigger]

The turn enters its end with Murray and Mermaid Hydrous unlocking, Tyler's Dysprosium activates its skill and locks Murray again.

Isabel calls 2 Unforgiving Joker, Hatred [Grade 3, 10000 Power] to start off prepare an assault. She attacks with Hatred and Butterfly. William guards the attack with Ocean Striker. [15000 Power 20000 Power] Isabel then attacks using her vanguard column.

"I guard with Black Fairy and Void Sorcerer." Caroline seeing Volt Line's boost instantly guards with the two cards.

Drive Check: Silent Star-vader, Ununtium [No Trigger], Star-vader, Nebula Captor [Draw Trigger] "Power goes to my remaining Hatred. I draw." Isabel then attacks with the unit.

Caroline look at the damage zones. "We're mostly tied, however, I need to move it forward more…" William flips over the two cards in his damage zone. Caroline calls out, "Ultimate Break. Reawaken Half Angel and Hisilia lose 4000 power. My vanguard and Reawakened Knight gain 10000 power. I give the power from Reawaken Half Angel's ability to Reawakened Knight. Reawakened Knight attacks your vanguard."

Isabel looks at Reawakened Knight. "I guard with Tellerium and Cyber Diamond. [29000 Power 31000 Power] You were planning to replenish your damage zone's counter blast with that card. It won't work." Isabel smirks. Caroline looks at her deck and then rests Almana without a boost. Isabel takes the attack.

Caroline reveals the first card of her deck: Dark Sniper [Critical Trigger]. "Power to Reawakened Knight and the Critical stays with my vanguard." Caroline reveals the next card: Death Howler [Stand Trigger]. "All effects go to Reawakened Knight."

Damage Check: Barrier Star-vader, Promethium [No Trigger], Crimson Metal Dragon [No Trigger]

Isabel places a Promethium onto the guardian circle in response to Reawakened Knight's second attack. [32000 Power 11000 Power + Cannot be hit]

Caroline's Field:

"I stand and draw." Tyler looks at his hand. "I call Radon and Lanthanum…" Tyler contemplating his choice continues to turn over the only face down card in his damage zone. He points to Murray and Mermaid Hydrous. "Lock." Tyler prepares to rest his Radon until he hears Jadyn's voice shouting at him.

"TYLER! What are you doing?!" Jadyn sighs. "You were always a fun player, wishing to befriend everyone. Heck, you even tried to befriend Nicole, when she disliked everyone."

Tyler is still struggling to make a move. Isabel on the other table is watching as Tyler continues to struggle on his choice. "Don't tell you actually don't want to win? You know what will happen if you try to throw away the fight right?" Isabel looks at Tyler with complete disappointment. "It's sad, as well you've managed to come this way helping us."

William looks at Isabel seeing the threat. "What will happen?" William stares her down hoping for an answer. Isabel stares back at William but doesn't respond. William seeing that she won't be replying asks Tyler instead. "What will happen?"

"Don't tell them." Isabel says crossing her arms. "You tell them, and they end up with the other part of the deal. Remember?"

Tyler's struggle continues as he slowly attacks with the Radon on the left. "Attack…"

Damage Check: Ocean Boy, Vapour [Stand Trigger]

Tyler then attacks with Band Hell Dragon. William guards it with Ocean Chimera. [27000 Power 18000 + Cannot be hit] Drive Check: Silent Star-vader, Ununtium [No Trigger], Star-vader, Band Hell Dragon [No Trigger]

The turn finishes with the last Radon attacking William's vanguard. William guards the attack with Ocean Striker to survive. [23000 Power 28000 Power]

William looks at his weak hand, knowing that he needs to protect Caroline until her turn decides not to push it. Poseidon's 16000 power is going to Band Hell Dragon. Tyler stands there motionless, but decides to call Ununtium and intercept with both Radons. [16000 Power 26000 Power]

Isabel smiles believing that Tyler is working for Void properly. Isabel attacks with the right-most Hatred boosted by Red Ring, Butterfly against the rear-guard Reawakened Knight in front of Witch with no Name. Caroline and William offer no resistance knowing the ability of Crimsonblade. Isabel attacks with her vanguard boosted by Volt Line. "Well, that's too bad. Does that mean you have another grade 2 or 3 unit in your hand?" Isabel smiles preparing to reveal the drive check.

"We guard." William and Caroline say simultaneously. Caroline placing Void Sorcerer on the guardian circle and William calling Ocean Boy, Vapour. [18000 Power 28000 Power]

Drive Check: Crimson Metal Dragon [No Trigger], Red Ring, Crimsonblade [No Trigger]

The last attack by Joker is against the remaining Reawakened Knight. Which is retired. [18000 Power 9000 Power] As the turn ends, Tyler from the other table lets off a faint smile and mutters to himself. "It's done…"

William from directly across catches this, surprised himself to see this reaction. He sees the faint smile and turns to Caroline and nods. "Let's finish this."

Isabel on the other table hearing this. "That's a bold claim." Isabel laughs believing it to be untrue but returns to seriousness.

Caroline draws a card and calls Lack of Will, Almana [Grade 3, 10000 Power] and Darkness Paladin. [Grade 2, 9000 Power, 5000 Shield] Caroline looks at William and they nod to each other. "Ultimate Break!" William flips over Vapour and Caroline flips over Darkness Paladin.

Caroline looks at Tyler and then Isabel, Tyler continues to retain his emotionless and confused face. "Hisilia and Reawaken Half Angel lose 4000 power. Reawaken Half Angel gives 3000 power to Lack of Will, Almana." Caroline rests Lack of Will, Almana and points to Isabel's vanguard.

Isabel guards with Dysprosium and Nebula Captor. [23000 Power 26000 Power] Caroline then attacks with Hisilia and Almana. She Soul Blasts giving her vanguard 6000 more power. Isabel in desperation calls almost her whole hand leaving 1 card in her hand. Universal Freeze, Silent Star-vader, Ununtium, Crimson Metal Dragon and Recollection Star-vader, Tellerium appear to add up to 25000. [32000 Power 11000 + 25000 = 36000 Power]

Drive Check: Immobilizing Succubus [No Trigger], Demon Sorceress [No Trigger]

Caroline is about the attack with Darkness Paladin, but then looks at Tyler and whispers. "I'm sorry."

Tyler on the other mouths to himself. "Let it be done."

Caroline attacks with Darkness Paladin boosted by Witch with no Name. Isabel calls the last card in her hand to the guardian circle: Recollection Star-vader, Tellerium. Isabel then looks at Tyler who shakes his head. Tyler calls out to the guardian circle, a Crush Star-vader, Demon Dragon and Barrier Star-vader, Promethium. All of their shield add up to 0. Keeping just 1 card in his hand. Isabel takes it as that he can't guard.

"So, we lost in the end." Isabel looks at Tyler and smiles. "It's too bad. Though, I guess you saved someone at least." Isabel then starts to laugh at herself. As she starts to disappear holding onto her right eye. Tyler is smiling and holding onto his left eye. "First time I've seen you smile since you joined Link Joker. Makes me wonder, are you smiling because it's your end, or are you smiling because you were tricking me all along? If it were to the latter, I congratulate you. It's not easy to fight your own brain after all. Especially a hormone that controls your lust and want."

Tyler ignores the Isabel's question and when Isabel has completely disappeared Tyler reveals his hand to William and Caroline to show that he has Star-vader, Moon Commander: a 10000 point shield. Caroline and William stare in shock. "Thank you." Tyler completely disappears. Jadyn, who was watching the cardfight, also sees the 10000 shield and smiles. Sachiko looks at the shield and stares at it shocked.

"We won." Caroline says to William. William nods. Everyone in the card shop smiles.

Another day at Cardfight Nation, William is talking to Sachiko. "I see. Jadyn has decided to stop playing vanguard. In any case, have fun at the movies." William is wearing the shop's uniform: a blue shirt with the logo printed on the chest and long brown pants. William goes to the counter. However, a thought enters his mind. "So, Link Joker is over… Though I guess these scars will never heal… We lost a friend."

Formerly a medic from another planet. Void having been watching the planet for a long time, is impressed by the skills this nurse in combat as well as healing. Void then approaches the leader of the planet and offers a deal to take her and spare the planet from his own destruction. The queen agrees and she is taken to Void by her own friends and family. Betrayed, she begins being experimented on, gaining abilities beyond anyone in her planet.

Her form now is a result of those experiments. After the experiments have ceased, having thought about her planet, she agrees to aid Void in its conquest of the universe in exchange she alone destroys this planet. Void agrees and she single-handedly destroys her home planet out of revenge and hatred. Not satisfied she goes across the universe destroying planets to temporarily gaining an intense satisfaction.

Horrifyingly, the power used to heal others has become a power to wipe out the existence of anything.
