Chapter 15
(Vincent)
Vincent watched his brother sink down next to the pretty blonde, Lauren. She had been shot in the stomach...
"Bo," She whimpered. "I'm sorry. Just wanted to see you."
"Shh, it's okay." He smoothed her hair back after placing her head in his lap. "I love you, sweetie." Vincent knew there was no hope for her she already bled out too much. More importantly did Bo just say 'I love you'?!
"I love you. Tell Ethan I love him too."
"I will, baby. I will."
"You're Vincent?" She rasped and he looked up, surprised she knew his name. He cleared his throat and nodded. "Andrea took Marly to her car by the Ambrose sign."
"Thank you." He noticed Andrea's name painted on the wall in blood and the smaller blood stains near the stairs.
"Is Marly hurt?"
"Yes. Bo..save her. I should have stopped her." She coughed up blood. "Love you..," She whispered and gazed up at Bo until she let out her final breath. Bo gently shut her eyes and hugged her hard before getting up. Vincent visibly shivered when he saw the murderous look on his brother's face.
"That bitch is dying tonight. Let's get the truck." They ran out the front of the House of Wax and jumped in the truck, speeding as fast as they could to the Ambrose town border.
(Marly)
I stayed quiet as I sat on the hood of the car. Everytime I had tried to speak and ask Andrea what her plan was I had gotten slapped. More than once. So instead I studied her. Her eyes were on the road, her gun clenched tightly in her right hand. We had similiar features our long, wavy red hair that hung thickly to our mid back. Our slender figures but curvy waists Hell, even we both had straight noses and full plump lips. No wonder Vincent took me when we first met. I closed my eyes and sighed.
"Please Vincent. Come save me."
"Can I at least ask you one thing?" I opened my eyes daring to speak again. Her hate filled eyes found mine and she gritted her teeth.
"Do you like being slapped?" I gave her a look and Andrea rolled her eyes. "What?"
"Who was that Lauren girl?"
"Oh. I guess Bo had a few secrets of his own, huh?" She smirked when I raised an eyebrow. "Bo and Lauren were fucking," She shrugged. "Not sure for how long but it wasn't hard for me to convince her to help me so she could see Bo." Andrea laughed. "And then I killed her...ironic."
The truck came speeding down the road, the headlights shining in our faces as it got closer.
"Now the fun part." Andrea purred as Bo and Vincent got out both leaving their doors wide open. She grabbed my upper arm hard, making me gasp. The click of a gun sounded as Bo aimed at Andrea. She pushed her gun rather roughly into my side.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you, Bo. How's Lester by the way?"
"He'll live." Vincent spat.
"And Lauren?" She smirked, looking right at Bo. They both just stood there silently. "I take it that means she died. Well, let's speed this along. Vince, get in the car. Bo, put the gun down or I shoot the tramp." My heart was pounding so hard but no because I was scared. My heart was pounding because she was trying to take Vincent from me...
"Where are we going?" Vincent asked her. He was looking at me and I could tell he was asking if I was okay. I nodded, shakily trying to wipe the blood off of my face.
"Anywhere you want, baby." I flinched when she pressed the gun harder into my side. Vincent started walking to the car slowly, his eyes never leaving mine. I saw out of the corner of my vision Andrea's arm lift. There was an exploding excrutiating pain in the back of my head and I fell roughly. I heard a gunshot and then the last thing I saw was Bo and Vincent, my boys, running towards me..then everything went dark.
(Lester)
Once he had dug the bullet out and finished cleaning his wound, Lester hopped up and limped to peek out of the window. The truck was gone. He hoped Bo and Vincent had taken it and not Andrea. He wanted to find them and help but he wouldn't be of any use to them with his leg the way it was. He trusted them to put aside fighting long enough to get their shit handled. Lester figured he'd clean up the office and be useful for something. After cleaning up his first aid mess he took cleaning supplies and headed to the office. This just proved Marly had started to rub off on him. Lester would be the last one to clean anything much less bathe often (which he did now). After the office was spotless he used the tunnel and nearly fainted at the mess. So the blonde had gotten shot. Lester shook his head, shame. She was pretty, too. He cleaned the table and with some effort due to his injury, he managed to get her body onto the wooden table. Better the only thing with blood on it was the table. He continued to clean the floor then the letters on the wall before moving to the steps.
He sank into the cot in the corner and passed out not at all bothered by the dead body on the table.
(Vincent)
He froze while he was in mid-run towards Marly when the third gunshot tonight fired from behind him. Marly fell to the ground, unconcious, a few seconds before Andrea followed with a bullethole in her head. Her gun fell far away from her body and Vincent ran to Marly, practically kicking the dead bitch off of her. Her nose had stopped bleeding but her arm and now the back of her head was, too.
"Is she okay?" Bo asked, taking Andrea's gun.
"I can't do anything for her..she needs an actual hospital!" Vincent lifted her easily into his arms..she was paler than usual. Bo quickly pushed Andrea's body in the bushes they would take care of her later. Bo hopped in the front as Vincent laid her in the backseat with her head in his lap.
"There's gauze in the glovebox." Vincent gritted his teeth and Bo drove and dug the gauze out, handing it to him. Vincent hated Andrea, hated himself for letting Marly get hurt. She had trusted him to protect her and he was so sure he had been capable of doing that. He tightened the gauze around her arm, applying enough pressure to stop the bleeding then folded his jacket to put under her head. It was just like when Andrea had to be dropped off at the hospital as though history was repeating itself. But this time was different he loved this girl more than life itself.
"Are we going in?" Bo asked hesitantly as city lights flashed in and out of the car as they passed. His voice held the hesitation that he didn't want to deal with questions but that he would for Marly if he had to.
"No. Grab a stretcher and push the emergency button." He said, already familiar with the routine. He had gotten a good look at her wound and they needed to get there fast. He looked down at the girl that truly loved him and kissed her lips. "I love you. Try to come back to me." Bo screeched into the empty hospital parking lot and hopped out not bothering to close the truck door behind him.
They both laid Marly on the stretcher taking a few personal seconds to watch her breathe. Even covered in blood she was the most beautiful person he'd ever seen. Bo hit the red button.
"Let's go." They both hopped back in the truck, speeding away. Vincent turned in time to see the nurses rushing her inside. Neither of them spoke until after they drove Andrea's car to the gas station where they would take it apart and Vincent left Andrea's body to Bo.
"I'm sure Marly will live and get back to us." Bo put a hand comfortingly on Vincen't shoulder.
"I know she'll live."
"So, what's the problem?" Bo scowled.
"The problem is," Vincent growled behind gritted teeth. "that the injury to her head will most likely give her some sort of amnesia."
"Amnesia? You mean she won't remember how she got hurt?"
"I mean, depending on how severe it is, she could not remember us at all. Ever being here, meeting us, who she even is. It all depends." Vincent's heart ached at the thought of Marly never returning but it was possible.
"So, there's a good chance she won't come back?" Bo asked, slightly red in the face.
"It's most likely that we won't see her ever again." Vincent whispered. The two brothers walked slowly to the house to fill in Lester about everything that had happened. Vincent took a minute to stare out at the empty town, feeling the loneliness already sinking in before he followed his brother inside...
