IN TIME

Hidden Powers

The troop headed over to Tazuna's house. Not much was said; Sakura was fuming, Naruto was confused asking million questions that no one bothered answering; Sasuke was thinking about Kakashi's Sharingan, wondering how exactly he got it, his mind running at the speed of light (also debating Kakashi's insanity even if he wielded such power). Tazuna was just realizing how dangerous his situation was from all sides.

"We're home." Tazuna said upon entering a medium sized two- storeyed house. They were greeted by his daughter Tsunami who was preparing their meal in the kitchen. She greeted everyone politely and thanked them for safely escorting her father home. Naruto was loudly narrating the entire encounter to Tsunami who humored him.

"… I'm a hero, believe it!" Naruto finished as Inari flinched hearing the H word.

"There are no heroes in this world. You're wasting your time if you believe in such childish things." Inari said with conviction. This caused the two to have a huge argument and Naruto vowed to prove that heroes do exist in this world. Inari stormed off which resulted in Tsunami running after her son.

Soon the atmosphere was covered in gloom as Tazuna sadly narrated the town's history and about Kaiza and Inari; this made Naruto more determined than ever to refuel the young boy's faith. They all went to sleep soon after with sadness.

The next morning they all had a good breakfast prepared by Tsunami. Not much was spoken except Sakura talking to Tsunami about food. Kakashi told his team that it was time to train, which immediately got the two boys rushing to go out. Team Seven gathered in the forest clearing.

"What cool jutsu are we learning today?" Naruto asked excitedly.

"It's a chakra exercise." Kakashi informed the young blond.

"More exercise?" Whined the blond "But we already did all that in the academy! I want to learn something cool. Not this kachra stuff." With a sigh Sakura took over the explanation on chakra from a normal scroll instead of her "Beautiful Kunoichi" scroll.

"Today we are going to learn how to climb a tree." Kakashi paused. "What? A tree?" Naruto yelled as Sasuke just scoffed loudly. "Without using our hands." Kakashi slowly walked over to the tree, climbing it using only his legs and stood on a branch with his arms folded across his chest.

"Wow Kakashi sensei! That was so cool!" Naruto said brightly, his eyes shining in awe. Sasuke looked at Kakashi with silent curiosity. The jonin jumped down.

"Now it's your turn." Kakashi said with his signature eye- smile. "First channel some chakra to your feet and climb on." He instructed, demonstrating each part.

Looking at each other in silent challenge, Naruto and Sasuke followed the steps and tried to set foot on the tree only to be thrown back and landing in their backs. Not ones to give up, they tried again and again only to fail. It was after some moments that Naruto noticed something.

""Hey. Why isn't Sakura doing this tree thing too?" Naruto demanded pointing at her.

"Yes Sakura. Why aren't you doing the Chakra exercise with them?" Kakashi asked somewhat teasingly. Sakura huffed and demonstrated an exaggerated fast climb just to spite them.

"Because I can already do it." She said from the top sticking her tongue out. Naruto looked at her in total admiration while Sasuke glared at her for doing something he couldn't. With more determination than ever both the boys took off.

"Well, it seems like Sakura has the most chakra control out of you. It takes a while to get the hang of it and we're in no hurry at all." Kakashi said cheerfully. "Sakura! Why don't you go to Tazuna's place and make sure they're safe?"

Sakura took off to the house just in time to catch Tazuna grocery shopping for Tsunami. She made a clone to watch over the house remembering the last time Inari and Tsunami were kidnapped before accompanying the bridge builder. She was very sad seeing the people of waves suffering so much again. She bought some candy just to give it to the little girl if she saw her again.

The rest of the day passed quickly and the boys retuned from training in time for dinner, exhausted and bruised. Sakura quickly healed them listening to Naruto talk about their training. Apparently Naruto had climbed two centimeters higher than Sasuke; the latter arguing that his tree had a bigger base making it higher than Naruto's marks. Kakashi took no sides telling them both they'd made good progress; which was true since he had guided them properly unlike the last time where he just left them with instructions. They argued all through dinner much to everyone's annoyance or amusement. In the end Inari finished his dinner glowering and left the table with a huff.

The next morning Tazuna decided to resume his construction with Kakashi accompanying him (and three Icha Icha books in his pocket), Sakura guarding the house and Sasuke and Naruto were to continue tree walking. It was also agreed that they all would use clones in case they needed each other with the location.

It was almost late in the evening when Naruto was training to beat Sasuke's record who had almost reached the top of the tree did he notice something. He turned to warn Sasuke who was holding a kunai with a guarded face. The atmosphere got misty as Naruto drew out his kunai from his pouch.

"Hello brats, I see that your no good Sensei has taught you the basic academy exercise." Zabuza's chilling voice echoed.

"What do you want? I'm stronger now so I can beat you, you masked freak." Naruto spat trying to make out where the voice was coming from.

"Naruto, quit provoking him. We don't know what he wants or where he is." Sasuke warned gripping his own kunai tighter. The mist thinned.

"Sadly I have no business with you today. Tell me where I can find Kakashi Hatake and I'll leave you sissies to play." Zabuza taunted. This only made the duo angrier. With a growl, Naruto lurched forward only to be stopped by Haku.

"We do not wish to fight you, just tell us where to find your teacher." He said quietly.

"We're not letting you know where Kakashi sensei is just so you can kill the old man." Naruto glared attacking again.

"Oh he is with Tazuna then." Haku said halting Naruto's attack easily. "Where is Tazuna?"

"Idiot. You're telling everything anyway." Sasuke said annoyed. He didn't know whether to believe the wave nin or not. He remembered that they were to send a clone to Kakashi should they need him; but doing so would be admitting that they were too weak. He decided to wait for now.

"We do not wish to harm Tazuna but we need to speak to your sensei." Haku still said politely, blocking Naruto's blows using only his hands.

"Haku, come on. We can search the man better on our own." Zabuza said impatiently.

"As you wish, master Zabuza." Haku bowed leaving Naruto stumbling back. Haku left with his black silky hair swishing behind him.

"Quit taking orders from him." Naruto yelled causing everyone to look at him. "What's a pretty girl like you doing with a freak like him anyway?"

Sasuke almost face palmed. To be fair, Haku was wearing a red short, sleeveless kimono shirt with black pants. He only blinked flicking his hair behind, he coolly replied that with an 'I'm a man'. Naruto looked as though someone told him Ichirakus was closing down.

"As for why I'm following him he is my only precious person. The one for whom I'm prepared to do anything in my life." Haku said blankly.

"But you're precious person is a freak. I mean he may be nice to you and all but he also treats you like a tool." Naruto paused dramatically. "I guess it's ok. I mean my entire village is my precious people and they treat me like a freak at least they treat me like a human- they treat me like an animal, a fox demon, ok! But at least they treat me like a living—"Naruto's rant was cut off.

It was then he saw Zabuza approaching; he quickly thought of something; His awesome technique; His signature move that could defeat all male species.

"SEXY JUTSU"

The reaction was instant. Zabuza flew backwards clutching his now bleeding nose, he wasn't expecting this at all. The blond kid was laughing his/ her head off. Haku flew towards him in concern, even the silent brooding emo brat was chuckling now after seconds of wide eyed disbelief. He wasn't humiliated like this ever. The blond brat would pay, big time.

Zabuza growled. He lunged at Naruto who was laughing rolling all over the ground. It took only a second for Sasuke to react when the enemy attacked his comrade. With speed he never knew, Sasuke kicked Zabuza's stomach swiftly. Zabuza countered by another punch. Thus began the battle of taijutsu; Zabuza got in an extremely strong kick making the Uchiha fall.

"Hands off Sasuke you scum." Naruto yelled punching him for all he was worth. Zabuza smoothly dodged it just as Sasuke lifted his head. Hisw bangs fell on his eyes revealing two red orbs- the Sharingan.

"You take the emo brat; I'll take care of this blond loud mouth myself." Zabuza told Haku as the latter was facing towards Naruto.

Sasuke and Haku's match was between equals. They mostly used taijutsu and tried to out- speed each other. Naruto was using many shadow clones which were being dispelled by Zabuza. The only advantage Naruto had was that there was no water and his opponent was underestimating him. Anger rolled off Naruto as a bright cloak of red chakra covered him. His rival was suddenly stronger than him within five minutes and he was still useless. His blue eyes turned red and his teeth enlarged as he let out an animalistic growl. He tackled Zabuza with speed even he couldn't match. Naruto threw powerful chakra infused punches and kicks each stronger than the last.

"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?" Sakura's enraged voice echoed throughout the place causing everyone to freeze.

AN: That's it people. I'm splitting this chapter which makes the next chapter the end of this arc :3 I'm not sure if the conditions for the Sharingan is right but this is the best I could come up with :(
