And we're back. Sorry for the short chapters.
Shadow woke up a couple of hours later. He felt dizzy and queasy. He sat up slowly and put his hand on his head. He shifted slightly and strained his ears for any noise.
Nothing.
He sighed and laid back down, not wanting to go downstairs.
'I'm guessing Sonic isn't here…' Shadow thought.
He closed his eyes and then sneezed. He groaned and curled under the blanket.
"God my stomach hurts…" Shadow mumbled.
He lurched forward and put his hand on his mouth.
"Oh no…" He muttered as he got off the bed and pulled the door open.
He ran into the bathroom, locked the door, and started hurling. Amy heard him and looked up towards the bathroom. Her ears were slightly bent back. Shadow was in the bathroom for close to half an hour. He collapsed and curled tightly.
'I...can't...move…' Shadow thought.
His thoughts were foggy. He somehow managed to weakly grab the side of the counter and pull himself up off the floor. He leaned against the counter, his legs shaking. Amy knocked on the door softly.
"Shadow? You ok?" She asked.
"I'm...fine..." Shadow said.
"You're not lying are you?" Amy asked.
Shadow didn't answer. He inched towards the door, his hands trembling.
'Get it together Shadow...' he thought.
"Shadow?" Amy called his name.
Shadow grabbed the doorknob with a shaky hand and opened it slowly. His face was a tint of green. His ears fell back and his hands were still shaky. Amy tilted her head and sighed.
"You know, lying to yourself don't make ya feel better," Amy said.
"I got the gist..." Shadow muttered and slowly went back to his room.
'I fucking hate this...' Shadow thought.
He laid back down and curled tightly. Amy sighed and sat on the bed by him. Shadow's body was trembling badly. He curled tighter and buried his face into the blanket.
'Calm down Shadow. It's not as bad as you think it is...' Shadow thought.
He looked up at the window weakly, his eyes straining to focus. The sun was still high in the sky. Shadow let his eyes close.
'If Sonic were here he would be telling me to sleep…' Shadow thought.
He couldn't get himself to fall back asleep. He must've made it look like he was sleeping because he had felt Amy get off the bed and heard her walk out and close the door. His eyes opened slightly. He looked back up at the window and sighed. He couldn't keep his mind off of anything. It was starting to give him a bad headache. He sat up and rubbed his temples.
'God I hate this...'
