A/N: Fluff Warning! Enjoy the last chapter :)
When the teens got to Heather's Island, all the people were excited and frighten seeing the dragons. Once they realized these were the one who saved Heather and her parents, they gave them abundance of food to take home as a thank you gift. The Berkians loved seeing the teens and kids getting enthusiastic to train their own dragons. Once Hiccup told them what to do and that he'll be back to see their progress, the young kids didn't want them to leave. Hiccup smiled, he loved that these kids wanted to learn more, but he missed Berk.
When Hiccup fixed Toothless tail, and said their goodbyes, the teens went back to Berk. Once at Berk, they put all their food away and went back to training. Of course, Astrid was in immense trouble when she got back. She was grounded and was banded from flying for a week. She knew her parents would react like that once she got back, that's what happens when you leave the healers to go fight off Outcast. But Astrid was not upset, because she knew it was worth it, Hiccup and Toothless were safe and that was all that mattered to her.
When Hiccup heard that Astrid was banned from flying for a week, he decided to visit her. He knocked on the door and saw Mrs. Hofferson. "Oh Hiccup, I'm sorry but Astrid won't be flying for a while." Hiccup smiled at the woman. "That's okay ma'am, I'm just here to see her." He said and saw a warm smile coming from the large mother. "That's okay dear. Come on in! Do you want something to drink?" Hiccup breathed a laugh; she always treated him like some hero after The Red Death was defeated.
"That fine ma'am, I don't plan to stay very long." He said while scanning the room for Astrid. "Oh that's fine! I'll get Astrid for ya!" she said and went up the stars to get her daughter. Hiccup heard their muffled voices but he could have sworn he heard Mrs. Hofferson say "You look fine! Now go down stars and stop fixing your hair!" Hiccup couldn't help but smile at what he heard. Then he saw Astrid coming down the stars with her mother behind her.
"Hey, Hiccup." She said brushing her bangs out of her eyes.
Mrs. Hofferson smiled and was heading out the door. "Well, I'll be going. I have to buy some yarn. Little miss escape over here is going to learn how to knit for the next week." Hiccup saw Astrid cringed at the thought, and laughed trying to picture the tough Astrid Hofferson knitting. "Good bye kids! I'll be back in a few." When the woman was gone, Astrid groaned. "I have to knit?! I don't knit!" Astrid cried with announce, then glared hearing Hiccup laughing. "What's so funny?"
"The strong and tough Astrid Hofferson, doing the most lady-like thing ever! That's hilarious!" Hiccup laughed and fell on the couch picturing it again. Astrid pulled the pillow that was under Hiccup's head and started hitting him with it. Hiccup raised his hand out trying to stop the pillow from hitting his face. "Okay, okay, I give! I give!" he laughed while trying to catch his breath. Once Hiccup was done laughing, Astrid threw the pillow at his face and sat on the couch next to him.
"I can't believe you." Hiccup stated looking at the girl next to him.
"What do you mean?"
"You got a deep cut on your arm, so deep that you passed out from blood loss. Then you left to look for me. You are an amazing friend, Astrid." The girl smiled at his comment and just brushed her bangs out of her eyes again. "How did you know about that?" she asked him. "The town was talking about it." Hiccup simply said at her and gave her a weak smile and glanced at the wrap on her arm.
"So, how is your arm anyway?"
"Oh its better, just stings a little." She said looking at her bicep then back at the boy.
"I know this sounds weird, but you mind if I look?" Astrid's blue eyes widened, but nodded. "Oh yeah, sure." She said and tried to unwrap the bandage with her one hand, but did not succeed.
"Um, you mind if…" Astrid heard Hiccup say under his breath. She looked up at him and nodded. "Oh yeah, you can." She said as she got closer to him to reach the bandage better. He awkwardly tried to get a hold of the bow on the bandage like he was too shy to touch her skin. She couldn't help but smile at his timidity, but when his fingers would lightly brush on her arm, she felt the goosebumps forming and was hoping he didn't notice. Once the bandage was off, it reviled an ugly red scar that burned once air touched it.
They both just stared at it and had nothing to say to each other. Astrid just looked at that scare and remembered the night when The Outcast took Hiccup. "You know, even though it hurts, I like it." Astrid said trying to break the silents between them.
"It's only fun when you get a scar out of it, right?" Hiccup said and started to wrap it back up, but was stopped when Astrid grabbed his wrist.
"Don't cover it." She mumbled looking at him in the eyes.
"Why? Your mother and Gothi are going to be mad at me knowing I unwrapped your bandage." Hiccup said with the wrap still in his hands, but was pulled out by Astrid.
"I want to show it off. I want to remember why I got it."
"You want to remember me being kidnapped? That's kind of strange."
Astrid breathed a laugh. "No, I want to remember how much I hated that you were in danger, and how much I wanted you back." She said in a quite tone, but loud enough for him to hear. Hiccup's heart pounded, he wanted to do something, but he felt paralyzed. Astrid on the other hand wrapped her arms around Hiccup's shoulders and felt his around her back. She clutched him harder before she let go of him and rested her hands on his shoulders. She felt only his fingers on her back like he was hesitant to let go.
Hiccup swallowed nervously, Astrid saw that he wanted to make a move, but she beat him to it. Hiccup felt her lips on his. He decided to kiss her back and without knowing it, he tiled his head. Astrid was enjoying that this was the longest kiss they had. She wrapped her arms around his torso trying to make the most memorable kiss. Apparently he had the same idea by pulling her towards him, yep, she was defiantly enjoying this. She didn't how long they've been doing this, but she felt her body leaning backwards. To stop herself, she put one of her arms behind her so she could lean on it before her back was on the seat of the couch.
After realizing what was going on, Hiccup stopped kissing and let go of her. Astrid sat herself up and they both nervously looked at the wooden floor. Astrid heard Hiccup clear his throat, "so I guess I should get going." Astrid just started at the floor and rubbed her hand together. "Ye-yeah, may-maybe you should." She said and heard him get up and walking to the door. "I'll see ya later." He said before walking out. "See ya!" she yelled back still keeping her eyes on the floor.
After she heard door shut, she looked up and saw that she was alone. Astrid smiled then fell on her back. She kept her eyes close replaying the feeling of his lips and his hands on her. She could still feel him on her and the rush from it. Maybe after this whole Alvin the Treacherous, Dagur the Deranged, and Screaming Death stuff was done with and everything has settled down. Maybe she could get more of that. But for now, what she just went through was enough.
~oOo~
Meanwhile, Alvin was stuck in the ocean from Heather. He hated that girl and those Berkians. In the far distance, he saw a large ship hiding his way. Trying to make out the tribe, he saw the ship had a blue sail with a yellow decorative pattern on it. "Oh no" He groan, he knew who was on that ship. Alvin was in big trouble. One of the sailors must have saw him because they through a rope towards him. Alvin climbed the rope and collapsed on the ship.
Alvin scanned the ship and saw the man he was now afraid of to see. "Alvin! Nice of you to drop by!" The big man said. He had a staff; his black hair and long beard were in dreadlocks and a scar was on his face.
"Now, where is The Dragon Trainer you promised me? Or did you forget our deal?" The man asked watching The Outcast chief getting up.
"No I didn't forget. If I gave you The Dragon Trainer, you would give me your best Dragon Trapper."
"Well, now that I know you didn't forget. Where is the trainer?!" the man bellowed.
"He got away." Alvin said in the quite tone.
"Got away? GOT AWAY?! I sailed these oceans for days to give you my best Dragon Trapper. And you tell me he GOT AWAY?!" the man barked and stomped his feet on the deck. "Then you are not use for me." He yelled and pushed Alvin off the ship.
"Eret! Get your traps ready! It looks like you're staying with me." The large man said to a young man who was about 20 years of age.
"No problem sir Bludfist. I rather work for you, instead of Alvin the Treacherous."
"Stop with the flattery boy! You know I don't fall for that."
"Sorry sir, um.. Bludfist, um.. Drago Bludfist…sir." Eret said saw that he was getting a death glare from his leader. "I'll get those traps ready." The man said walking away to set the traps.
"Maybe that Stromcutter Rider will not find us out here. I'm getting tried of that rider taking my dragons." Drago Bludfist said as he and his men sailed away to find wild dragons for his army.
